Nice little Ice cream shop. Tons of flavors available. Unfortunately you cannot enter the store and there isn't any indoor seating available. Outdoor seating is mostly in the sun with some seating in the shade, so going here is highly dependent on the weather.

This place is sooooo good. Do not skip this place if you have a chance to go. The ice cream was the best we have had in a long time. I got the banana cream pie which was amazing. We also got the chocolate cake batter and the blue monster. All were delicious. All ice cream is made here and the server was absolutely charming. Oh and the small scoop is a great size!

Just stopped for a small milkshake and ended up getting a Jumbo Banana Cream Pie Shake. Awesome shake and the service and price was great. Only two young ladies working but they were doing a great job. When in the area, I'll stop again for sure.

Great selection of ice cream! I love banana flavored ice-cream and it was amazing. They had a great variety of seasonal items as well! I tried the grape flavor and it tasted just like grape soda :). Service was also very friendly and speedy. Surround area was clean as well.

Great homemade ice cream. Never disappoints. Regular flavors and flavors of the month available. Cups, cones, shakes, and sundaes. You can also get pints and quarts to go and they have "dogsters" (frozen ice cream treat for dogs!) Our dog loooves them.

Delicious! Fantastic! I really liked the ice cream here! Ordered sunday, with cofee chocolate chipa and strawberry cheesecake flavors, both the flavors were surprisingly tasty and the presentation was also really good, they give large quantities compare to other ice cream franchises nearby, generously put the whipping cream ( that was my favorite part)

Great tasting ice cream, with lots of flavors to chose from. The Cake Batter reminds you of eating the remnants of the mixing bowl from Mom's baking days. And the Oree Dough is a great crunchy combo to enjoy.

This place has some very interesting flavors! The ice cream is good and the service was great. We did have to look the flavors up online because there weren't description anywhere on the building. I had the Graham Central Station and my husband got a banana cream pie milkshake. Both were great and the banana shake tasted like real bananas, not an imitation flavoring! Definitely worth trying out if you are in the area.

Handel's is the best ice cream I've ever had and it's all served with a smile. I with there was some kind of option to super recommend an establishment. I've been going to the original in Youngstown since I was a kid. It was my sister's first job and treats bits employees incredibly well. It's a proud Youngstown state that's reached its delicious hands all across the country. I've had had so many other highly recommended nice creams (Jeni's, Graeter's, Velvet) and I always come back to Handel's.

Fantastic ice cream. I truly did not expect to have such smooth texture, balanced flavor, and over all great value. Wasn't expensive for well made ice cream and the service was quick. Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't gone, or had a bad experience should try it again. Cake batter ice cream was perfect, and their Ore-dough was delicious too.

We have tried all the local ice cream joints and we must say that this place is the best. Their ice cream is soft and their flavors are great. We have tried the strawberry cheesecake, chocolate and peanut butter brownie, cotton candy and mint chocolate chip. Definitely a must try for a local or a traveler!

My family loves Handel's! The ice cream is incredibly fresh and always delicious. I don't think we've found a flavor we haven't liked, and we've tried most of them. Their Buckeye ice cream is our absolute favorite; my husband and I both get it every time. Our other recommendation: the four scoop sampler. You get four reasonable scoops of ice cream and have the chance to try four different flavors! Handel's is our top choice for ice cream, even when we have to drive out of our way to have it.

This is my favorite ice cream shop in Columbus. While they are open year round they only have outside ordering and waiting so we only hit this place in the warmer months. I love the flavors and also the temperatures of the ice cream because it’s hard scooped ice cream but melts in your mouth like soft serve. Not many dairy free/vegan options here though - normally one flavor a month. I recommend the chocolate ice cream with peanut butter ribbon - it’s called peanut butter parfait.

Always such a treat! Quick and friendly staff, SO MANY FLAVOURS AND OPTIONS, and a nice location! There is a nice park behind the building that I encourage you to check out. I also encourage you to check out their seasonal/monthly flavour options! My s/o loves the key lime pie ice cream during the summer for example! :) Parking is typically easy to find.

My family is from Youngstown, and we have always loved Handel's. Yes, the lines are long, but it's worth it. The prices are decent for the amount of ice cream you get, and God is it good ice cream. And YES, the ice cream is homemade! Up in Youngstown, one of my cousins worked here. One of my favorites is the birthday cake. It's sweet, but not cloying, with bits of cake and sprinkles. YUM. Grab a bench, wait a little while, and then enjoy your ice cream. There is a playground near for the kids.

This is some of the best ice cream in Columbus! In my opinion, it’s even better than Jeni’s or Graeter’s. The flavors are crazy and exciting and delicious. I love the chocoholic chunk and blueberry cheesecake. My husband loves the blue moon and the oree - dough. My husband and I love to split the four scoop sampler for $5. The ice cream is so rich that it’s the perfect amount for both of us. I’m excited that it’s open year round so we can have it whenever. Although I wish they had a small indoor area to sit. Even during the summer, the few benches they have fill up quickly and are also in direct sunlight some of the time. They also need to hire more people or something because the line gets so long and takes way longer than it should!

The Best!!!! Graeters is good, Jeni’s is cute, but this is the best ice cream spot around. My belly wishes there were more locations in Columbus, my pants are happy the way it is. Would recommend getting Graham Central with a pie flavor such as strawberry and create your P-ice cream. Unheralded deliciousness.

I think it’s the best ice cream in the USA. No comparison. Favorites: Graham Central Station, Salted Caramel and Coconut Cream Pie! But seriously, all the flavors are amazing.

My favorite place to get ice cream in Powell. Fast service every time I have been there. Tons of options of flavors at a fair price. Not a lot of parking so you will need to park at one of the offices. It is accessible from the bike trail as well.

Also graters is just terrible, you always get inconsistency, like a huge chocolate hockey puck at the bottle of your cup. Handles is without a doubt #1.
