Finally made it to this place in person. You have to go here if you’re in Columbia. This is a cookie place mainly but they have u e cream and brownies too. The brownies were, in my opinion, much better than any of the cookies. The bear batter was my favorite ice cream. Try to go early. They tend to be busy very often but completely worth the wait. They famous for their custom ice cream sandwiches. I personally didn’t want one at the time but love the idea of it and it looks soooo good.

What a wonderful, little place! We saw a customer review on TikTok, and decided the next day we had to go for their ice cream sandwiches. Quite a drive from Chapin for ice cream, but worth it! Of course this was two weeks ago, and gas wasn't $4 a gallon. We all ordered an ice cream sandwich in some fashion. You literally create your own! You pick your cookie, and can pick s different top from bottom. Then you pick your ice cream and any toppings. Was a little expensive, but the novelty and size makes it worthy of the ice cream adventure! A solid five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and I highly recommend. It's ins good area, and we felt comfortable parking and walking around. My only negativity is that the shop is very small. There's only four tables, and while we found one; had to take a chair from the neighboring table. Lines of people waiting were also right on top of you. Nothing to warrant a negative response though.

Totally in love with this place! Staff is super friendly and takes pride in each cookie dessert they make! I’ve been here a few times and they do not disappoint. Cookies and ice-cream together…you pick both! Highly recommend getting it pressed and warmed. Trust me! Delicious!

Such a delightful treat! I had the espresso ice cream with snickerdoodle cookies & almonds on the outside. Definitely have your cookies warmed up - they're soft a gooey, and it doesn't melt the ice cream!

I enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and the food was great as well. I had a funfetti cookie sandwich with vanilla ice cream and it was scrumptious. I appreciated the service provided and the fact that they asked whether or not I had an allergy to peanuts or anything of the sort showed that they truly cared about their customers. It was too cold for ice cream, so we tried the cookies. The Carmel pretzel cookies and the butter cookies were absolutely fabulous! We bought a dozen cookies, but we haven't tried the others yet. The staff was very helpful in explaining all of the products.

This is the ultimate sweets spot in Columbia. The bear batter batter ice cream is my fave but all of their ice cream and cookie flavors are great. Pro tip: you can get two different cookie flavors for your ice cream sandwich and ALWAYS get it hot pressed. It gets the cookies warm and gooey but the ice cream stays nice and cold.

This was a delicious sugar overload! Even though they were slammed, the staff were super helpful and quick without ever making you feel like a bother. Their vegan selections were limited but tasty, but I don't think you could go wrong with any selection. We were a group of 6, everyone got something different, and nobody was disappointed. We especially loved that you can mix and match the cookie flavors.

What a fantastic place! There are so many choices of cookies, brownies and bowls, combined with a myriad of ice cream flavors, and then a bunch of topping choices. And you can mix and match multiples in one sammich! I got a funfetti cookie sammich with birthday cake ice cream, topped with fruity pebbles. It really hit the spot and I'll probably be back soon for another!

Second visit today and was as consistently good as the last time. Got the cookies and cream cookies with bear batter ice cream. It was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful both times. A great treat, better than similar places I’ve been to before as the cookies here really make the dessert- they are soft and sugary and just perfect.

Worth every penny! The cookie sandwich is a whole meal in itself. You can mix and match the cookies, pick from a decent selection of ice cream and get your cold creation covered in crushed Oreo, Reese’s and other goodies. Best money I have ever spent on a dessert! This is a must try!!!

This place is fun for kids or the kid in you. I love ice cream and cookies so this is my ideal place. Pick your cookies, pick your ice cream, add some sprinkles, and they’ll make your ice cream sandwich for you. Then they warm it in their magic “warm the cookie but don’t melt the ice cream” machine. I'll be back at a later time with a little ditty. 🍧🤔❓ Greetings and salutations, I've never eaten there, however, knowing that "people eat with their eyes", and after perusing their online menu, I give them a five star plus review on "plate presentation". The reason I am here is I found two gift cards on the sidewalk on the corner of Blossom and Harden Street this morning, one with just change and one with a small but substantial amount. I'm going to hold on to these for 3 days, at which point if the previous owner has not contacted me, I'm going to do a random act of kindness. I will update this review with the results, which will include the name (I will explain to the of the random act of kindness "receiver" while getting her or his name during "The ACT". Swoon! This place is divine! The staff is always super friendly and enthusiastic about their products. The ice cream, the cookies, and the brownies are delicious! The portions are so generous, too, you definitely get your money’s worth. The only small suggestion I would make is to offer a more durable container for the ice cream sandwiches since it’s carry out only right now and it’s difficult to enjoy and not make a mess. But I love this place and look forward to treating myself here!

Very cool (no pun intended) place with an awesome concept. Cookies were fresh out of the oven. Ice cream was unique and complimented the cookies well. We showed up around 5:30 p.m. and found no wait. Shortly after we ordered and got our sandwiches, a line formed; must have been the after dinner crowd, so come earlier in the evenings. Staff was friendly and patient - with so many combinations, my family changed their minds a couple of times. Tips - 1) watch for whatever the freshest cookie they pull out of the oven, 2) they can warm your sandwich without melting the ice cream, and 3) you can just get ice cream if you aren't feeling the sandwich.

So. SO good!! The best part of it all (besides the deliciousness) was that we could select 2 different top and bottom and the ice cream! Everyone should get the brownie! Each sandwich is huge. If you're not feeling ice cream, you can get just cookies. It really is a great spot, and everyone there was very nice to us!

Loved the ice cream and cookies! It was delicious and my kids loved it. It was big enough I just got one cookie sandwich for all three of my kids. The only down side is it's very small and not a lot of seating. There are three tables and 1 or 2 people at a table. That left me and my kids eating outside on the sidewalk. It wasn't ideal since they are so young. I would go back but I would claim a table.or wait for one to open up before ordering.

Lots of different cookies and toppings to choose from. They also had many flavors of ice cream. The ice cream sandwich made with their cookies are really good. The store is kinda small so takeout I would prefer unless they are not crowded. I would recommend this place especially on a hot summer day.

Went here for cookies only, although the ice cream sandwiches looked amazing 😍 I ended up getting 6 cookies. Of the 6, my favorite was the Cookies and Cream and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. The rest were good, but not amazing to me. I would definitely return, but next time I'll get an ice cream sandwich for sure and a few of those Cookies and Cream on the side.

For me, this is a "let's slurge" kinda spot. That's because there are usually 3-5 of us depending on the weekend. Is it good ice cream, YES! Are the cookies delish, YES! But it can be a little pricey. Staff is always nice and they keep it clean. They have great suggestions if you can't decide what you want. I would def say it's worth trying.

My wife and I went to the first Baked Bear six years ago in San Diego, and I was hooked then. I was pleasantly surprised, then, to discover the Columbia location when we went in June. I went twice during our three-day stay. They make their own ice cream sandwiches with homemade cookies and homemade ice cream. What could be better? I'm just sad that the nearest location to my home is 3.5 hours away.

Loved the cookie and cream selection. I had the butter cookie with the BlackBerry ice cream. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave samples! The only feedback would be for smaller versions for kids but I know that could cause more behind the scenes cost.

Worth the hype. Was afraid the ice cream would be hard and difficult to bite into but it was super soft. If you’re wondering if you should do “hot press” – the answer is yes. The only critique I had is the consistency of the sandwiches. The ratio ice cream to cookie is really dependent on your server. I didn’t even know this could be a bad thing (!!) but mine actually felt like it had TOO much ice cream. It didn’t even fit in the hot press, while other girls’ did. :) High quality problem to be sure, but if I’m going to indulge in that much sugar I at least want to taste the cookies! ;)

Pretty decent dessert place. The area inside is rather small, so it will be difficult to eat there if you have a large party. We chose to forgo the sandwich and settled for the bowls to try and make it easier for the kids... Unfortunately the bowls, although no more quantity, come with a $2 dollar upcharge to cost nearly $8. Way too expensive for a simple dessert... The brownies were good, cookies were hard and nothing special.

Baked Bear was really yummy. The first time I went I had a whole sandwich by myself. The second time I went, I was able to split with a friend because it is so much. My friends and I had to eat outside standing by oir car because there is limited seating. I would suggest outdoor seating. Also our cookies were hard even though though they hot pressed it. Not sure if the cookies were a hard bunch or not pressed long enough. Must try at least once.

I got pretty hyped for this place and was kind of disappointed. The service was amazing and the place was very clean. However, the food wasn't spectacular and it was pricey. I got a bear bowl, and the cookie was mediocre. The ice cream was good, but once again pricey. My mother got the bramble berry crunch and I do wish I got that instead of my bear bowl w cookies and cream.

Holy frijoles! I went to this place while on a rare lunch date with my wife. We expected a modest ice cream sandwich, similar but nicer than what you get in the frozen food section of the grocery store. When we got our order, we were surprised by the gargantuan sandwiches with which we presented. Even more so, we were blown away by the quality of the cookies and ice cream. Separately, the cookies and ice cream are amazing enough to make a special visit to The Baked Bear. She had a peanut butter cookie and a white macadamia nut cookie with cake batter ice cream. I had a peanut butter cookie and a snicker doodle cookie with salted caramel fudge ice cream. The sandwiches were as thick as the diameter of the cookies. I was able to unhinge my jaw like a snake to take a bite, but she had to use a spoon. We are both very glad that we live pretty far away from this place so that we won't be tempted to make it a frequent destination, but we will definitely be coming back. SUPERB!

It's common sense...cookies and ice cream just go together. They've got quite a few different types of cookies and even a brownie to choose from. Once you've chosen your ice cream flavor they sandwich it between two cookies of your choice. You can have them heat this up...no the ice cream doesn't melt, but the cookies come out nice and soft. You can also add toppings...sprinkles, m&m's, etc. They'll also put ice cream in a cup with your choice of toppings.

Have tried to come here twice and the line was 50+ people and not moving...want to try it but this is a bit ridiculous. Especially waiting for 20 minutes without the line moving EDIT: I was finally able to go one day where the line wasn’t out the door. It still took 15 mins to get it. It was good but not amazing. They were out of what I wanted to try, and the girl put so much ice cream on the cookie it was hard to eat. The employees were kinda standing around talking half the time so that is probably why the service here is slow. I’d come back but only once in a blue moon....it was way too sweet for me to even finish in one sitting.

You HAVE to try it if you haven't!! You get to pick flavor of cookie with the flavor of ice cream you want AND add toppings like candy or whip cream. Then you can have the cookie warmed without melting the ice cream. It's an amazing idea that is flipping yummy!!!

OMG!!! A wonderful concept!! DIY your own ice cream sandwich from a variety of cookies, cakes, brownies for top/bottom (you can mix & match something different for each end!); a selection of premium quality ice creams for your filling; and all kinds of goodies for 'toppings' (they actually roll the sides of your ice cream sandwich in them). You can even get it 'warm-pressed' (this warms your top & bottom)!!! ABSOLUTELY YUMMY!!!!

This was a fun stop. They were out of gluten free cookies when we stopped by and only had one vegan ice cream option. They must have been very busy to restock these options. There was a good sized line while we were there. Besides that the ice cream and cookies were good and the servers were very friendly.
