Reviews of Bumsan Organic Milk Bar
I was visiting for the first time in LA Ktown and decided to stop here for ice cream after a concert. The exterior and interior was very small and cute! I ordered their cherry soft serve with the fruity pebble topping and cereal cone! Honestly the best soft serve I had tried ever! The service was great too! I definitely will have to come back when I visit again!
I don’t come to this area as much as I used to, but now I’d come just for this place. I absolutely love guava and theirs is amazing. Next time I’m going to ask if they sell in large containers so I can bring some home. I wish I could’ve bought one of each flavor. I really like how they have it setup. Come in one side, order and pickup, then exit directly onto their patio area. With how popular they are, they could probably use a larger seating area. Nevertheless it’s definitely worth the drive. Cannot wait until next time.
Nice ice cream spot with fun, Asian inspired flavors. Each one comes with 1 free homemade topping. I would highly recommend the house made corn flakes. There are also really unique, fun cones
They’re known for pure milk taste soft cream.
I tried matcha and milk mix and regretted soon after tasting it. Pure milk taste a lot better.
Although I don’t really find huge differences on quality than other soft ice creams.
Rice crispy cone tastes good though.
crofle (croissant waffle) was great.
But I feel like both crofle and ice cream are overpriced.
There are few parking spots but very small.
I saw a long line here at night so I checked it out Sunday afternoon and there was no line and parking in the back where ddong ggo is.
The soft serve is good. Taro and guava was tasty. Subtle flavors and refreshing on a hot day. I like the unique cone shape bc it holds the icecream better as it melts. Not much seating outside but not bad. I wish they had more napkins available outside and hand sanitizer.
I really loved the croissant waffle. It was deliciously chewy delicate and a good balance of sweet and salt. I would get it again.
Come here for your insta food pics.
Absolutely delicious. I had the matcha milk swirl with half of a croissant waffle and oh my God was it nice. The ice cream was so smooth and creamy and the croissant waffle was warm, flaky and sweet.
Will definitely return.
Very cute place and concept. The type that puts a magical smile on ur face. Its quick, it has an easy menu. Only downfall is the size. I love my ice cream, gelato, soft serves etc., and when i eat them (because i try to eat well 99% of the time) i would expect a good portion size. Its more expensive than the usual place. But its worth the try!
AMAZING!!!
I didn’t have this place bookmarked on my list when I visited LA, but it caught me eyes because it had a cute pink wall. Also the fact that there was a long line of people waiting outside, so to my curious self— I just had to drop by.
After lunch, we came back and found parking right in the back (lucky us!). There wasn’t a line anymore and we were able to sample some flavors. The place is very small. There’s enough space for 4-5 people inside and order at a time, while others have to wait outside the entrance before coming in. The workers were very nice and let me take photos and also sample two flavors. I didn’t expect much, thinking it’s probably just another instagram famous spot, but O M G, their flavors are amazing!
I got a taro milk tea x pink guava cone, and my friend got their taro milk x matcha cup. Initially, I was going to get the matcha swirl, but after testing the pink guava, I knew that was the one. The flavors are amazing and tbh, it reminded me of my childhood in Vietnam. I’m not sure if I ate pink guava ice-cream before, but it was so good. The flavors weren’t super sweet and it blended so well together, along with the crunchiness of the waffle cone— perfect combo.
It was hot, and the ice-cream were melting rapidly as we ate outside by the store. We stood in the back where there’s a little bit of shade, and ate quickly. I was surprised to see they filled the soft serve all the way inside the cone, since not many places does that. This place has now earned a spot on my Top Favorites list, and I will definitely come back whenever I’m in LA.
Thankfully the line wasn't too long when we got there. There's a small parking lot and some street parking spots available. As you might've guessed, can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Croffles were good too. There's a tiny patio with four tables or so when you exit the store.
Very exciting place to get your soft serve!
I got the taro milk tea and guava swirl on cereal cone.
I also tried their croissant-waffle and it was pretty good.
🤪Only reason I came back to LA🍦
It was the most expensive ice cream I ever tried and it was the best!! You must try this ice cream!!😋👍👍
My Favorite Tip 💖 It’s the same price with any kind of color of corn and sprinkles is free. I like the regular one than extra cereal one. Just because I can’t afford extra + $2.95 for dessert 🥲 Select color one and decorate with free topping 🎀 it’s STILL insta AesThetic MatErial y’all haha.. don’t spend $10 for ice cream 🥹(If you can afford, go ahead)
I tried croissants + waffles this second time and it’s so chewy and crunchy 🥰
Pretty popping ice cream place with a pretty long wait at night. They are only accepting two people at a time at the moment too. They have a small parking lot and it's usually full so you're best bet will be street parking or a garage.
They soft serve is pretty good with fun flavors, but not the best that I ever had. It's pretty classic and more milky than creamy. Not bad at all and still good though. You can sample as well! My favorite flavor was the Vienna Latte, which is a newer flavor.
They also have Croffles, which is a mix between a croissant and a waffle! Soooo good and you can get it by itself or do a "soulmate" and add it to your soft serve.
The cones are really aesthetic too and fun. They have some cereal and marshmallows rims which are super cute and a total sugar rush!
Good soft serve but at the end of the day it's still soft serve which will never be as good as real ice cream. The pink guava is decent but tastes a bit artificial. I preferred the taro milk tea.
Extremely good soft serve! The true milk flavor tasted exactly as named, it tasted like really fresh and creamy milk. It was even better than Somi Solo’s milk soft serve, which I also really like. Adding the corn flakes topping paired well with the milk, as well as the sprinkle cone.
As high quality as the ice cream was, I must say that the croffle absolutely swept me off my feet. I had the pink guava (pictured) and I will return to try the matcha and cherry later but definitely with croffle 😋 …
Cute place to get milk soft serve. Taste is more on the milky, creamy side. Taro doesn’t taste too much like taro though. Otherwise, pretty good ice cream.
Very good soft ice cream , with a touch of Asian flavor. The Matcha one is my favorite hands down.
The waffles are ok , but nothing spectacular but this place is worth the visit for the soft ice cream
Parking is tricky but this is Los Angeles
Will come back for sure.
Amazing ice cream, with a variety of good flavors (ranging from guava, matcha, chocolate/cherry, and so forth), and unique cones to choose from. Extra toppings are no additional charge (i.e. fruity pebbles, chocolate chunks, etc.) Highly recommend this place, and one of the best ice cream places, I've been to!
Get the original "True Milk". Really milky, creamy, and fresh flavor. And the cone is so thin, light, and delicately crispy. So good!
Fun ice cream spot! I always get the chocolate and taro if they have it with the Oreo topping. Really creamy, good flavors and fun cones!
FINALLY tried bumsan after hearing so many good things about it and i was NOT disappointed. i got the pink guava flavor and it was sooo good. the guava profile is super rich and kinda reminds me of the guava candy i used to eat all the time as a kid. if you like guava then this is the flavor for you.
they also have all sorts of fun flavors and cereal cones for you to choose from. plus the pink wall for pictures and you have ever foodies dream come true.
Delicious creamy soft serve. The true milk is NOT vanilla. Its cream flavored so expect a rich flavor. They offer a free topping such as oreo dust.
Ice cream is really creamy and delicious! Best dessert spot in K-Town!
Parking at the side of the building
- Friendly customer service with a SMILE
- True Milk & Matcha is amazing
Definitely want to try the Taro Milk Tea & Pink Guava
Love that it's 100% organic soft serve ice cream from the leading organic dairy producer in Korea, Bumsan Farm Co., who maintains sustainable farming practices and produces 100% organic USDA certified, non-GMO, antibiotic-free dairy products
Great place to get a delicious cone. You can taste the quality. All the flavors where smooth, milky, and not overly sweet. There is a cute deck you can sit after you exit the shop.
Mind blowing soft serve ice cream, like what do they put in this? So smooth and milky, absolutely the best cheap dessert spot in ktown.
The custom sprinkle they have is DELICIOUS. Parking lot is next to it... super hard to park in it at night, but during day time it's empty. Owners are super friendly!
Very clean, storefront and the ice cream was as impressive as the reputation. Definitely going back for more. The Soulmate (Ice cream with the croffle) was delicious. The croffle is their rendition of a croissant and waffle.
True Milk Icecream 😋😋😋🍦🍦🍦
Worth for coming to the crowded KTown and waiting on line for the terms. The parking place might be full during weekends night as a club beside. …
This place has one of the best milk ice cream clans. Great flavors, including taro and guava. It’s not too sweet, and there is a parking lot too. Always enjoyable.
Very creamy ice cream base. Specially love the true milk with oreo cone and oreo sprinkles. The only thing is they only have seats outside and it gets chilly at night. Also tough to find parking.
Love this place so much. It's bright, attractive and the ice cream is really smooth and wonderful. You pick a flavour - like milk, matcha (our choice), taro, cherry and chocolate - and get a fun swirly dollop of it on your cone of choice (we love the glittery rimmed one). Then choice of coloured cereal, normal cereal flakes or powdered oreo for sprinkles. One to keep coming back to (*^-゚)b
I love soft serve ice cream especially when they have matcha flavor as well!! Really like the options they have to offer and the variety of cones. The soft serve was one of the best I've had and very enjoyable!
It’s hard to find good matcha flavored ice cream outside of Benihana’s or a pint of Haagen Dazs. Bumsan nailed it. Getting it swirled with their plain milk is a nice way to balance out the sweetness and adding their homemade cereal topping is a fun way to add some crunch.
Elevated ice cream, tad too sweet. The vibes are not quite there with the cramped indoor space. A canopy for the outdoor space with some heaters would be nice to keep customers around
My favorite icecream spot!
They are still open during quarantine but I recommend calling in your order with Postmates through Google for pickup. They won't let your icecream sit out- they only make it once you arrive, and they already know your order and you've already paid so it is super convenient!
I love SOMI SOMI soft serve, but BUMSAN Milk Bar beats them in variety, flavors, instagrammability, and SOFTNESS. The softserve is SO SOFT it'll literally start melting as you pay for it!! Take your photos fast or you'll find your self leaning other the trashcan as your dessert drips away before your very eyes XD. The service here is always fast and friendly, everything is very clean too but the place is SMALL so please respect quarantine rules.
I was lucky enough to go here the swme day Insider Foods reviewed the place in 2018, so enjoy some old photos of me and my friend with Caroline Mishelle. I also attached new pictures (you can tell by the significant weight loss).
Although it's a small spot, the staff were amicable and attentive. The Taro milk tea ice cream was delicious! Definitely coming back soon!
The best soft serve ever. Shoutout to the older employee that is there every time I swing by. Milk and matcha are two of my favs but sometimes if you are lucky you get a new flavor!
So good, lightly creamy, tasty! The cone with various flavors on the rim is a nice touch, oh yes, free lightly sprinkled topping is a bonus! Must try, love the swirl matcha & milk tea flavor. Daughter loved the taro & chocolate swirl. Youngest daughter loved the swirl mango & guava, I tasted now that was refreshing!
Cup or cone (various types of cones) options; can choose one flavor or swirls; 1 free topping per ice cream.
Definitely quality ice cream. Worth it. Open until 10 PM, even during this Coronavirus outbreak. Thank goodness.
Slowly converting from a insider tip to a well known place to absolutely go to.
Go for a Croffle Soulmate and just enjoy the taste. It's amazing!
Get there early as there's just a limited number of Croffles each day as they are freshly made day by day.
Bumsan has some of the softest melting ice cream. The taste is fresh and so very refreshing. It was an amazing eating experience. The cones threw me off with their unique and unusual shape. Different colored sugar rimmed ice cream! The fact that it's organic is definitely a big plus.
The staff is also very friendly, if you are debating on flavors, you can ask for a taste :)
Out here visiting from Chicago during a winter deep freeze & this place was so damn delicious! My wife & I had Sea salt caramel and waffle cones and our friend had Haro milk tea. This stop was so so tasty. Might come back before we fly back home.
I'm an ice cream fanatic. Like I eat ice cream daily! All the way from Ohio, I am screaming this is the BEST ICE CREAM I've EVER had!! I'm not even sure if I feel comfortable calling it ice cream. It's heaven on a cone!! I've had to go out to LA 3 times this year. The first time I stumbled across this place. Didn't get a chance to go on my 2nd trip. But, made it my business to stop by on my 3rd trip. This place is TOTALLY unMATCHed. 😊 True milk and guava swirl on a fruity pebbles cone with fruity pebbles sprinkles. Life changing!! And the guy behind the counter...SO WELCOMING, makes the experience even better!
Why the hell have I waited all this long to try this place? Let me tell you: TRUE MILK Ice cream is the bomb!! Plenty of outdoor area to have a socially distancing moment and enjoy this DELICIOUS ice cream.
Such an adorable little shop!! I'm completely obsessed with Matcha, so this True Milk Matcha swirl cone was SO amazing. The ice cream is incredibly smooth and creamy. The only downside is no inside seating and the outside area is pretty small too.
The building and store setup was clean. I liked what I saw and that you could sample some of the flavors! Staff was really nice. However, I'm not sure if I could say positive things about the soft serve/ice cream. Although I could appreciate how fresh the ingredients are, the flavor just lacked that ooopmfth that would make me want to come back for more.
The matcha tasted overly sweet while lacking an authentic matcha taste whereas the true milk was probably the standalone star. But even then, it didn't really shine enough for me to give it good reviews. It was okay at best.
I would go elsewhere.
I love to take my boys out for treats in Ktown. They loved this place very cute. The ice cream selection was very different from the norm. It was on the pricey side for me that’s why I gave it a 4 stars. But it was an enjoyable experience highly visually appetizing.
Ice cream is great! Especially love the pink guava. Customer service is a little...but over all great icecream place!!!
This place is great! I got the matcha and milk twist combo. The matcha flavor is actually flavorful. The soft serve is smooth and the flavors really complement each other. Parking is also convenient. They have their own parking lot, though it does fill up fast. But people leave pretty quickly. I would definitely come back!
Silky delicious texture! Love the matcha or milk or matcha/milk flavors. Excellent service too.
Parking available. Small cute clean place in a busy dirty neighborhood. Service is good. Yummy ice creams
Nice soft serve ice cream in LA! Pretty good value for the portion of ice cream that you get! They have quite a range of toppings you can choose from to dip around the cone and it looks so pretty together with the ice cream on top! We had the milk and matcha, milk and chocolate flavours and we both enjoyed them a lot!
I’m not kidding when I say this is THE best ice cream I’ve ever tasted! I just can’t explain how amazing the flavor is but I just know that every time I get a taste, I literally melt away. It’s like heaven in your mouth. I’ve only gotten the guava and the combination of true milk with matcha and OMG they are amazing! I can’t wait to try the other flavors! I truly recommend this place to everyone!
Highly recommend the matcha with true milk blend. Trust me! I ddnt even know I liked matcha until I tried this place. Get that waffle croissant too it’s uufff!!!!! Bomb. Definitely satisfied the sweet tooth. Need to get back here asap
Delicious ice cream "pink guava" is lit! Also available are waffles, but not your run of the mill type waffles, these are subtly crispy & delicately sweet, warm waffles. Downside, long lines on week nights and weekends.
Love the chocolate ice cream!! So creamy and rich. And the milk ice cream was yummy, too. It tasted a lot like cheesecake! The shop itself is v small inside but they have an outdoor patio to hang out in, and it makes for a good spot for aesthetic pictures, haha. Would love to come again.
Delicious ice cream. Really "Instagram ready" food. They let you sample flavors but no one ever made me feel rushed, even though they had a bit of a line. Ice cream was high quality. A little more expensive than I normally go for but pretty common for the area.
I got the taro milk tea and hazelnut soft serve with oreo dust. I definitely enjoyed the taro milk tea flavor more. The store itself is very small and you have to either eat outside or eat it to go. You can’t really go wrong with soft serve.
One of the new soft serve places in ktown. I have only ever had the milk flavor which is very mild and not overly sweet. I’m not a fan of their cones, as it looks like those bad wafer cookies. Hopefully they can have more of the waffle cones in the future. It does come with one free topping, however, they only dust one side of the soft serve, what is up with that?
It’s good. Don’t have much else to add, haha. I’ve had several other milk flavor-forward ice cream spots, and it’s hard for me to tell the difference between them all. But there’s no doubt this place does the job well to its purest form. A great place to walk to for dessert if you’re eating at one of the million restaurants nearby.
Nice place to grab different flavored ice cream. They have True Milk, Matcha, Chocolate, Taro Milk Tea, Pomeberry (pomegranate & cranberry). They also have the option of swirling two flavors, which is awesome. Different toppings such as Oreo, Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes and sprinkles. If that’s not enough they have different dipped cones to choose from! Definitely worth the visit!
Wow the milk and match a swirl is bomb!!!! In love with the idea of rea milk. It was so tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet with great toppings.. I got the corn flakes topping. They had awesome cone choices! I regret not getting the cereal edges. Good portion size. Great customer service and helpful as it was my first time!!!! If ever in the area. You should definitely check this out. I wish they had one in Dallas tx
Had the true milk, it was very good. Taste fresh.
Similar to DQ
Small location, parking kinda sucks but still recommend. I had the True Milk and the Fruity Pebbles, as someone who is not a big fan of Milk this was so delicious! The cashier was really helpful in deciding which to get. I almost went back for another. Price is $8.90 for the special cone and ice cream. Definitely instagrammable.
Not bad soft serve ice cream. They have 10 different sprinkled cones, 6 flavors, 3 swirls, and 4 toppings to choose from. If you're looking for a picture friendly ice cream photo, this is the place. The building itself is pink and they have an outdoor bench to sit on.
Milk&macha is a great choice for us! There is only 1 parking spot for this Bumsan ice cream place :( so we parked our car to the next block and then walk to get there.
I can put this as one of my favorite ice cream places so far. Their matcha x true milk is sooo good and it comes with a free topping.
I think the only downside is the wait. 15 mins or so and we were only 3rd or 4th in line.
Super cute shop, and they even have a pink wall and area for picture taking. The soft serve was good too but service was ok and I wish they were consistent in their swirls. Sometimes it looks unappealing.
Taro milk tea x Pink guava swirl. Fun, yummy dessert. Really sweet. A little pricey. Service was okay. Cute, clean storefront.
So so delicious! I’ve tried the matcha, taro milk tea and chocolate. I highly recommend getting a swirl and make sure to add toppings! They have really good cones too that are dipped in chocolate & sprinkles. Staff is friendly & everything is definitely meant for social media! Worth a stop if you’re craving something sweet.
The croissant waffle is immaculate. What looks like an ordinary bakery waffle tears open to the divine moist goodness of a croissant.
The ice cream soft serve is also delicious. The plain milk, although simple and basic is a must and their best seller.
Best soft serve ice cream. Corn flakes are a must. Want to try the croffle next time
So simple yet so delicious. We opted for one without the add ins so we can taste their ice cream and we were amazed. Their ice cream was not overly sweet. Be prepared to wait in line though.
The ice cream has very good texture.. great choice of flavors!!
OMG, Croffle Soul Mate (crunch and soft Croissant waffle with ice cream: $9.50)
Very good tasting soft serve. Good quality tasting Matcha and Vanilla/Milk.
I tested one of the other flavors and it was good too. The staff was friendly. Great interior design.
The scoops w the nicer cone was $8 each tax included. Pretty high.
The ice cream is artwork. Flavors such as Milk, Chocolate, Matcha, Sea Salt Caramel, and Cherry. They have a wide variety of cereal cones and it tastes AMAZING
True milk and matcha swirl were delicious. Croffle tastes exactly as you think it would taste.
Matcha is the best for me so far but i also like Chocolate. The area for sit and eat ice cream is lovely.
Great swirled flavor combos, excellent wafer cones, beautiful decorations/toppings. Well balanced ice cream-- nothing was overly sweet. The staff was helpful and friendly.
I had the dragon fruit lychee with the Taro milk swirl. Flavors is really good. I think next time I'll go I'll just get the dragon fruit lychee combo with by itself. I love the fun cones. They are not different flavors just different colors of sprinkles around the cones. Overall I would go back. The toppings was kind of wackers only three options being cereal like Fruity Pebbles if that's your thing. I think the cone having the sprinkles on it is more than enough flare.
Cutest little I've cream shop ever! Fast, friendly service and delicious ice cream. You can sample different flavors before deciding and the staff was great! I had the Maui Maui (mango/pineapple) and it was to die for!
it’s the true milk for me dude! luscious and smooth and so creamy. #1.
Its my first time trying their shop. My siblings are the one who recommended that we should try it out since they loved the croiffle (croissant & waffle) ice cream. Its really good not that too sweet coz its my preference in eating icecreams sometimes sugar can be overwhelming or over powering the flavors but this one is definitely good.
Such a great ice cream experience and great hospitality. There was a huge line that went quickly. When we got to the front I noticed only 1 person working. I thanked him and he told me that his 2 Co workers called out tonight, a Friday night, 5 minutes before their shift so he was stuck there helping everyone by himself. He was happy and talkative. While the ice cream really was amazing the service was just as good if not better!
Yummy!!! You can't go wrong with the True Milk premium organic ice cream. Perfect for a hot day or as a palate cleanser.
Good quality ice cream with a great touch of originality. I had matcha + real milk. I can say I will comeback to try different flavors and cones.
We looked it up online. It was among the top ten places to eat ice cream in LA.
And trust me it dis not disappoint. We got two icecream with a waffle. The the waffle was hot and the cone was also fresh. The ice cream was amazing and creamy and just out of this world.
I would def. Go back and try the other ice cream flavors.
So good milky ice cream . Taste like milk, not vanilla
The inside is poppy and colorful. The flavors are nice and blended. There's a little patio to eat on. Definitely worth a try.
Really good ice cream. Soft serve and refreshing. It is worth it
Lovely place to eat Ice cream!
Pink building is so cute!
I got the original milk flavor with oreo crumbles on it. It was one of the most delicious ice-creams that I have ever had! To know that it was organic too was pretty impressive as I'm not really a big fan of organic anything haha! I would 1000% recommend this place to anyone visiting Koreatown in Los Angeles!
Honestly not quite sure there is always a line in front of this quite average ice cream place. Avoid the lines and fill your ice cream craving elsewhere.
The organic milk ice cream is a must—in any variation (and there are several, all delicious). The shop itself is a teeny bopper affair, with a few pastel metal tables out back, no overhead shelter. Great for a 10 minute ice cream snarf when the sun’s out but you can guess the disadvantage when the weather’s otherwise.
I loved the astetic and the taste of this ice cream. Worth visiting if you have the chance but make sure to have quite a bit of cash! This is pricy!! $12 for two cones!!
Parking is terrible, so heads up. Otherwise I’d give 5 stars. Ice cream is delicious!
I love the simple ice cream flavors. However, the regular cones they use to have are not the same. So, I'm a little disappointed in that change. The ice cream however is great!
Pink guava on a regular cone. Just the right amount of sweet and tart guava. And you cannot find a better cake cone. No photo cuz I ate it all so fast
will be tricky, since I´m from Germany, but I enjoyed your icecream very much!
From my experience, it's the best tasting soft Ice cream place in LA.... but 4-star because of the price...$5+ for a soft ice cream cone or in a cup .... really? Still worth trying at least once.... and good for IG pictures
Small location..some parking is available. Their Croffle is amazzziinng. The ice cream was delightful. It was very smooth and tasty. I would Definitely go there again!
My kids and I love this ice cream ! Delicious, clean, and the service is fast ! Also is organic 🥰😋🧑🏼🦰🧑🏻🦱👧🏻 …
First time trying this gem of an icecream place in Ktown after a friend reccomended we all go here. Even though they were closing they still let us in and stayed open which was super nice. The icecream is a unique soft serve blend that I havent had before with flavors like Taro and pineapple chocolate that all come in a waffle cone of your choice. To top it all off, you get 1 free topping with your cone and I chose to get the cornflakes which added a nice sweet crunch. Friendly workers. Highly reccomend👌🏻🍦
Umm why is this place so good.
Taro swirl dragon fruit is amazing
In a rice krispies cone.. pure perfection
I will definitely be back to try more flavors
good for quick ice cream, have fun w parking.
I came here with a friend to try their ice cream after reading reviews of this place. Their matcha milk swirl I heard was the best. I was truly surprised after trying their matcha, that definitely hit the spot. It had the perfect blend of sweet but it didn't over do it. It maintained its freshness and above all, the look of their ice creams are something worth taking a picture for. It is something worth checking out at least once, and to take a picture of their ice cream. Will definitely come back. I also liked how their seating area outside kind of makes people feel like we all know each other and strike a conversation. It's strange I felt that, but that's how it feels and that's honestly needed in LA. When in K town, check it out!
Super cool icecream spot. I would say its really being carried by the croffles, the icecream itself is pretty good and the cones are just ok
The ice cream is delicious! I got the matcha and true milk swirl and I definitely recommend it! However the only reason I didn’t put 5 stars was because of our server. She acted as if she didn’t wanna be there and like it was a chore to serve us. 100% recommend the ice cream but our server was the only thing that put me off from enjoying the full experience. She also seemed to act very impatient and bothered by my parents who don’t speak fluent English and were confused by the menu.
Just moved across the street to this lovely gem. The ice cream is phenomenal. No other word can explain. The gentleman who helped us was a sweetheart. They have both kinds of sprinkles! My son loves the long ones and I love the tiny dots so we both get what we like:) They also have a well lit patio with fun music
Decent ice cream place! Line can be kind of long, but it is pretty good. The ice cream is soft serve so it is very soft and creamy. They have a limited number of flavors, but they are done well. They also have toppings for you to add. Not much seating here to chill, but nice for dessert.
The ice creams are very delicious but the girl who attended us had a very bad attitude today July 4 at 6 pm
SUPER cute place with really creamy ice cream. My favorite one is the milk flavor which is the most popular flavor here. It comes with one free topping and I got the most popular with the corn flake crunch. Everything here is so clean. The workers here are very sweet and generous.
highly recommend the pink guava x taro milk tea combo
Perfect ice cream 🍦 creamy and delicious. Come all the way from Atlanta for this. …
Ice cream is delicious. It’s always hard to pick between the matcha and taro one so I end up getting the swirl. Taro by itself can taste overly sweet so matcha will definitely balance it out. They have outdoor seating and parking in the plaza. Accessible however it can get busy during the rush hour.
Any negative comments about this place space is simply trolling.
This is the absolute best ice cream (ice milk) that I have ever had I drive 20+ miles For this heavenly ice cream.
You have to try it for yourself.
Yummy ice cream spot!
To be honest, the pink and picture friendly ice cream drew me in to try this place. The stand along building is painted pink, which is quite hard to miss. There is a few parking spaces on the side on the building.
I ordered the original milk soft serve ($6) in a cone. Honestly, that is quite pricey for ice cream, but I wanted to see what the hype was about. The soft serve was actually quite good as it was creamy, but not overly heavy and the milk flavor was light. There is seating outside, but your at a race with the sun as it melts your ice cream done within minutes.
I really want to come back and try the dragon fruit flavor because they were out when I was there!
I sooo love true milk and chocolate swirl with cone cereal.
The milk ice cream here is simply divine, reminds me of Hokkaido milk ice cream from Japan, definitely coming back!
Try the original milk flavor. It tastes fresh- pretty interesting. The chocolate is whatever. The toppings aren't my favorite, and the cones are flavorless. It seems like this place is more about the Instagram experience of it than actual good ice cream. The staff here is kind. Overall, it's a little more interesting than a typical ice cream shop, so maybe try it out.
Silky smooth ice cream. Guava was delicious.
A flavors are magnificent especially the cherry 🍒 chocolate 🍫 …
This organic ice cream is moderately creamy and sweet.
Kids and us loved it. Yummy and well worth it. Only down side, parking. So be ready to look for it because it's limited.
Very, very tasty cone. The only reason four instead of five stars is due to the price. $9 is a bit steep for the quantity given. I absolutely agree that it is a sufficient serving size, but compared to what can be purchased elsewhere.... I don't think the experience justifies that pricing profile. The server was very friendly and helpful, super sweet
Very tiny place, so hope it's not crowded. I got a true milk and matcha blend with Oreo powder on a rainbow sprinkle cone. There are a selection of cones (behind a glass) with the edges decorated in some sort of sprinkles as shown. The ice cream is very creamy and the flavors are noticable but not overwhelming. The cone has a nice texture and is not crumbly nor the type to get soggy fast. I really likes the treat and the place kind of stands out as a random pink box and it's inbetween two parking lots (go to the left one as the right has valet parking while the left does not).
Really good!!! Everyone working was super nice. My friend got the matcha and i got the chocolate with a coco puff cone
WOW! When I say that their ice cream is top tier, I am not exaggerating. This place has become by far one of my go-to's for ice cream and desserts when I am in Korea Town.
♥Pros
•Unique: This establishment prides itself on their cereal cones and their Korean organic soft serves. Their top seller, which also happens to be my favorite, is the "true milk" flavor. It has the perfect blend of sweetness to creaminess which I like in a soft serve. Their combination brings out the flavor of the milk rather than hides it with sugar.
•Instagramable: With more and more places popping up trying to be "hip" it has become more of a requirement that food has to look good for "the gram". With millennials having more buying power and are the up and coming generation the main demographic that visits these shops are the younger generation. So it has become increasingly important that the presentation of the food is good.
•Friendly: The main reason why I even came into the shop was that a friendly worker was gesturing to my party to come in. He patiently explained the shop and gave us samples of the flavors with a smile. 10/10 for his attitude and initiative.
○Cons
•Lack of Indoor seating: One of the minor downfalls for this place is the lack of indoor seating. Which can't be helped with the space that they provide, but it's a small inconvenience. It also is nice if it's a hot summer day and one can enjoy their treat inside an air-conditioned area.
Ultimately I would come again to get more after a day in Korea Town. It's a great establishment with excellent ice cream at a fair price point for what they are offering.
Went here right after I went to beer belly which is right in back of this place. Had to get something to take the nasty taste of the food I had just eaten. This place was perfect. Staff was very nice. I had the Maui Maui with fruity pebbles. It's was very good. This place should really get a 4 star, but I'm giving it a 5 star rating only because it's owned by a family member of Sunny from girls generation, plus she's my ultimate bias. SFFS!!!!
I like this place because the ice cream is so good. I also love the cones favored in the top and the toppings. Also there is places to sit outside which can be a calm and cute place when it isn't busy. Although I don't usually see it being very busy when I pass by the place which I have passed by the place a lot of times.
In my view, the winner of the true milk ice cream wars in Koreatown -- richer and butterier than Honeymee, and they have my favourite topping, cornflakes! A lot of my friends who like sweetier, less buttery ice cream aren't as big fans of Bumsan as I am, but I like very creamy soft serve that isn't too sweet, and I love the punch of salt and crunchiness from the cornflakes, so for me, Bumsan reigns supreme. :) Personally not a huge fan of the very Instagrammable cones, but other people seem to like them, so use your best judgment about your taste preferences!
Love the chocolate with the oreo crumb cone. Recently tried Taro with chocolate swirl and it's the best combination. Worth the long drive to have a yummy treat.
The taro milk ice cream I got here was so bomb. It was like taro people were having a milk fight in my mouth. Also, the cones are crispy and the did a good job adding sprinkles to the rim. I think one time when we came they let us choose the sprinkles we wanted on the rim of our cones.
The staff are friendly. Parking can be tough especially towards the end of the week, and the bar nearby gets crunk. They have a nice patio in the back where you can chill and enjoy your ice cream.
True milk is the best flavor. The macha green tea is the best I've ever had. A variety of cones. Even a rice crispy one. They fill the whole bottom of the cone which doesn't happen often. After tax and tip we spent 18 bucks. Worth every penny let me tell you. Definitely gonna crave it.
Bumsan is a fantastic dessert shop in Koreatown. Located on Western Avenue within walking distance of the Wilshire/Western Metro Station, the space is neat and compact with a deck on the side for customers to sit in while eating. Plus, the customer service is excellent. At my most recent outing, I kept it simple by eating chocolate ice cream with Oreo cookie dust as a topping. It was quite delicious.
Food 5/5
Service 4/5
Atmosphere 4/5
Cost: Fair
Flavors are refreshing and don't find it anywhere else! The ice cream is soft and dreamy. It's like having your first kiss. Must try: dragonfruit lychee! Parking is tricky, there are a few spots on the left, usually filled at night esp weekends. There's also valet on the right which is $7, that's the price of an ice cream! Best bet is go with someone, hop out, buy and go!
Soft serve was okay. A really strong milk taste, and presentation was great! Would recommend the pineapple mango flavor!
This store really reminds me of the Korean BaekMiDang ice cream. It's very smooth (almost to the point of liquid nitrogen ice cream smooth), and very good. They include one topping for you, which is basically some kind of cereal you normally find at frozen yogurt places (fruity pebbles, frosted flakes, etc. Overall, great ice cream, and you can find parking at a nearby Korean supermarket that has a garage because there's no fee to get in.
Quick service and delicious soft serve. The cone was alright, and its wide rim protects from drips. The sprinkles were very cute and added texture. Matcha+milk swirl was delicious.
Got the French waffle and the vanilla soft serve. LOVED it.
My favorite ice cream place! Every time I visit LA I make time to stop in.
Pretty good matcha ice cream but I've tasted better. The place itself is cool though
Solid ice cream, but the cones always taste a little weird and stale, and the dipped cones do not taste the way you'd expect....almost like there is a lot if salt or something in the dip?
Milk soft serve in a cup is definitely the way to go
Matcha ice cream is really good, but the value is not great at all. If you ever have Somi Somi in LA with the "fish" ontop of your softserve icecream, it's so much better. Also, three dollars for an ice cream cone that has your childhood cereal around it?! Stop with the gimmicks people. Either inflation is real or they selling you something "trendy" that's not even a good quality add-on. And I'm not even bougie. Lol.
I recommend the true milk ice cream with the cereal topping. The extra stuff on the cones takes away from the milk flavor in my opinion- which is the creamiest and milkiest, most delicious soft serve I ever had.
Great spot to visit before seeing a show at the Wiltern nearby. It's within walking distance and a great spot to bring a date. The ice cream is amazingly good and they swirl it perfectly every time. I stop by whenever I'm in town.
Parking can be difficult and annoying. The lot it is in has a big dip that can mess up the front of your car. Location is small and easy to miss. I had the cherry ice cream and it tasted just like Tylenol cherry.
The best ice cream! I always considered myself a caramel girl, but the Taro & Milk ice cream flavors are definitely my favorite ice cream I have ever had.
Tried the matcha soft serve ice cream with Oreo cone and Oreo crumbs, so delicious!
First time trying it and I must say it was delish, definitely enjoyed it. Love the fact they give you a sample to see if you'll like that flavor or not. That chocolate and pineapple coconut was 👌. Will be back for sure... …
Always good but need at least 1 more person
mmm.. Craving 4 Sweets!
Hi quality soft ice cream. Simply, it is a different and super soft.
The true milk ice cream was so good and creamy. It's not too sweet and the cornflake topping added a nice crunch.
Amazing, Great tasting. My kids Certify this place as a Fancy Ice-cream. And that's how they ask for it, and I Deliver. You pay for what you get and it's Totally worth it
SO GOOD
Very tasty, light and creamy. The toppings pair well with the flavors. They also have something called a crawffle.
Very good softy!!!
The ice cream taste so good with just the right sweetness and creaminess of the milk. Clean place with seating on the patio wish there would be some table too.
It's a great place. Ice cream is amazing and they switch up the flavors. Friendly staff. For you kpop fans, this place has ties to SNSD's Sunny!!!
It’s a fabulous place for photos, but the ice cream itself is not my cup of tea.
The ice cream is TOO SWEET, I prefer McDonald’s ice cream more b/c I wouldn’t pay $6 for a picture again
I'm actually not much of a sweets person, but I love it here! I usually get the matcha, but sometimes they have really cool and intriguing flavors! So delish!
Finally, I came here after a long time on my wishlist. I'm in love with this ice cream in Ktown. I'm not sure if it's real or the same ice cream as in Korea, but it tastes great and interesting to me. I got a mix of two flavors and it was a fantastic combination! And the price! The price very affordable for ice cream in LA area!
The true milk ice cream is nice. Taste exactly like condense milk.
True Milk is to die for! Can't get enough of it.
We've had original milk, taro, and cherry. Cherry tastes like well riped cherry. Taro was very good and milk was super smooth. Great overall.
Matcha in a chocolate lined cone with chocolate powder was perfect for me. Not as sweet as the other flavors with a very slight matcha savory taste.
Smoothest ice cream I have ever had. Amazing place you have to try out if you are in LA.
Since this is an organic milk bar I went straight for the basic vanilla with sprinkles. It disappears as soon as you get it. Nature has no bad angles, and this stuff taste just as good as it looks, if not better. I have not found better soft serve in LA as of yet
I've been following Bumsan on IG and had been trying to go for a while. It was worth the wait!! The really nice guy behind the counter was super, super, super amazing. He answered my many questions and was very professional.
I asked him for his recommendations and he was spot on, needed something sweet for mom. She got the Taro and Pink Guava swirl and she loved it 🥰, mind you she's picky.
I got the Tara and Macha, loved it.
The flavors are not too sweet, but sweet enough for the taste buds to enjoy. A silky texture. Highly recommend to stop by and get you some Busan Organic 🍦🍦
The true milk ice-cream was very good. Similar to the ice cream of honey mee. There is parking at the location for free, but note there are only a few spots available.
Legit everyone was asking where I got this from lol sooooo gooooood!
Delicious! I was lucky, and there was no line in the afternoon, but the line is long at night. The pink guava was especially good.
This is probably one of my favorite places in all of LA. It has the most delicious ice cream I have ever tasted. It's so creamy and perfect. (Also NCT was here... So that's a plus) XD
Very trendy but good milk and matcha flavor
Just you can say wow and practice how to take a photo after receiving ice cream like celebrity. Everything was good.
Love the true milk w the fruity pebbles! It’s not too sweet and it’s creamy and yummy! It’s a little overpriced for the amount though.
The employees were so nice! I took my family for my birthday and they were so nice, my family loved the flavors and everything. I've been here 2 times and will definitely be back!
Matcha and pineapple are good. Taro does not taste like taro at all. Overall everything tasted a bit too sweet for me.
Very popular little spot, waited in line for a while but man oh man, ITS WORTH IT.
Really loved this place! The croffle with the chocolate and Vienna latte was really good! 🤤🤤 …
True milk soft serve with a warm croffle is unbeatable!
Really good soft serve flavors and tasty cones that aren't just for looks
Came here because friend recommended. Ice cream is smooth and the cone is even more delicious. However, the price is a bit expensive. Also, the service is a bit slow.
Delicious, rich organic soft ice cream. The chocolate is surprisingly wonderful. The taro, matcha and plain milk too. I will go back.
The people were super helpful and the icecream was delicious!
I came across this milk bar place last year when I visited LA from Florida and ever since I tried their ice cream,I just had to come back!!Their milk ice cream tastes so different from all the other milk ice creams I had! There's just something about their milky ingredient that is thick and yet so smooth. They offer seasonal flavored ice creams too that are tasty as well:)
Very light and refreshing ice cream.
Really cute place plus the ice cream is really good. Also really loved the different cones that you could get.
Unique ice cream flavors and interesting selection of toppings and cones. Staff was friendly and my ice cream was delicious!
After a few locks the flavor gets boring. However, they do have great, unique flavors that come out of soft serve machines. Not bad...
Amazing ice cream cone. Staff was friendly aswel. I ordered the milk and cotton candy and it was amazing! , totally recommend to visit and try!!
My favorite ice cream 🍦 spot in ktown. Clean, staff super friendly and the taro milk and guava so darn good!!😃👍🏾 …
Really unique flavour and the waffle cone was good too!
I got the salted caramel flavor. Really delicious.
Premium ice cream, more soft-servey than gelato-y.
Tasty soft ice cream, not too sweet. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Parking may be a challenge at times. Accessible to public transportation.
Cute and yummy icecream,a bit pricey tho
ice cream was wonderful. service is excellent. would come here again!
A small cute little ice cream shop, super insta worthy and delicious!
Best Ice cream I’ve ever had! Yum
Light, Airy, Cool Creamy Goodness
Never a time without a long line, but it’s well worth it. Matcha is always so rich!
Mm mm good match a milk & oreo
Highly recommend getting the croissant waffle with the true milk ice cream. Yum.
The flavors and service were all very good. Cream had a nice sharpness that made the ice cream refreshing.
If you're in the area, swing by. Not a big fan of Taro ice cream, but theirs is solid. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.
Coco Puffs cone and a corn flake topping. Yum.
Suuuuuper delicious! 5 stars off that. I would give it another 5 stars if I could because it's owned by Sunny's sisters from SNSD! SONE's come through!
AWESOME place for creamy desserts.
Amazing milk bar with outstanding "waffle cones." You really need to check them out.
Taro is sooo good! The fruity pebbles cone is perfect and crushed Oreos on top is sweet!
Great milk flavor, and the "pomeberry" was also delicious, service was very good and easy flowing definitely coming back
Taro + guava = amazing. The waffles are great too
So good. I love the original milk flavor with the butter brown bits. A must have everytime I visit ktown
Simple menu, but everything is quality. Flavors are light, parking is a pain.
It's delicious
Amazing place. Must try Taro and Matcha
So good.
Always cold and refreshing. They usually have a good selection and variety of dry toppings.
sooooooo good!!!!! Matcha and Pink Guava are my favorites but soooooooooooooooooo sweet 😷😬 …
Must try the milk flavored ice cream is very good and intresting.
The ice cream is so creamy..so delicious... Have to get it 😋 …
Fresh and not too sweet 🍦 …
Totally an Instagram place :) The ice cream totally looks cute, but it was too sweet for me.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! GIRLS' GENERATION'S SUNNY'S SISTER AND BROTHER IN LAW OPENED ONE UP IN L.A. I really do hope they continue to prosper and expand
Difficult parking. Small lobby. No restrooms. Delicious treats
Tasty ice cream and felt amazing eating organic! Very clean and the service was very accommodating.
Try croffles. Great combination of hot/cold dessert.

A bit sweet matcha soft serve, pretty set-up. Need more spaces in the parking ?
Enjoyed my sweet treat here! The northern east coast (NYC ,NJ) needs to experience this 👀👀👀👀👀👀!! …
Very good ice cream would be nice if there was indoor seating.
A small ice cream shop, some sitting area outside, difficult to get parking on the busy hours. Good taste for ice cream...🍦🍧🍦 …

No indoor seating fyi. This is an instagrammable place that has quality product (sometimes there is a negative correlation there but this place actually lives up to the hype in terms of taste) - there's just a couple of tables right outside of the store so you'll have to be lucky to find a seat. Most people usually grab the ice cream and go so it's not really a problem.
Their True Milk ice cream flavor is one of the best "vanilla" ice creams I have ever had. The experience is fun, the location is great, and they have a nice outdoor seating area to enjoy your ice cream. There is a decent amount of parking in the back just watch out for the huge dip entering and exiting the parking lot.
Bring back rainbow sprinkles.
Excellent waffle.
Delicious!
