Super hyper delicious! The waffle bowl tastes fresh, and their cookies are homemade. The ice cream was creamy with the perfect balance of sweetness. They use compostable cups, and they do collect compost. Win-win for you and the environment while supporting locals.

I was somewhat disappointed by the selection of the ice cream, and the fact that I was unable to sample any of the flavors, so I was shooting blind into what I was going to get since I tend to like to try new flavors at ice cream places, and have one flavor that I know that I will like. I got the honeycomb lavender and the espresso. They were both solid choices. The lavender was light and not too sweet, while the espresso was pretty good with espresso chips. My friend commented that I am always on caffeine, but that's how I go lol.

An authentic ice cream shop with some interesting rotating flavors. They make all their mixes in-house (instead of just adding flavoring) and have a solid list of staples as well as rotating seasonal flavors. They also have a selection of vegan and dairy free options.

Top tier ice cream spot in Cambridge! They have a good set of normal and vegan flavours. My favourites are Honey Lavender and Salted Caramel crackle. They have some indoor seating too! Definitely worth the trip to North Harvard

I loved this place. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful yet not numbingly too sweet. This had the best Salted Caramel ice-cream. They also have some vegan options. The waffle code could have been crispier and less sweet.

I had ordered (sweet corn and blueberry jam + s’mores) and (honey lavender + coffee). All flavors are good.coffee is my favorite 😍. But I wanted to try tiramisu taco as read so many reviews but it is available only on Tuesdays as the name Tuesday Taco. So if someone like me want to try taco just FYI visit on Tuesday. Overall place is great and smell amazing.

I got the sweet corn and jam flavored ice cream. There was about a 15 minute wait to just get in the door so my expectations were high. The shop is super cute and bright and the staff is friendly. I enjoyed the ice cream, but I’ve had better. The jam to ice cream ratio was a little high or maybe it could have been mixed in better. At one point I got a giant blob of jam and I wasn’t into it. The waffle cone was yummy.

Usually busy on weekends with long lines, so we went on a weekday afternoon for some ice cream and it did not disappoint. Chocolate truffle birthday cake flavor was filled with truffles!

Excellent ice cream spot with a good selection of seasonal flavors. The brown butter pumpkin cheesecake had crumbly pieces that added a nice crunchy texture; the October mystery flavor was interesting! Overall, more creative than the other ice cream places around.

One of the top ice cream spots I have been to in the world. EVERYTHING is homemade and fresh. I love honey lavender and peanut butter jelly. Honestly every thing here is fresh unique and made without any chemicals or additives. Worth every penny for the quality.

Amazing ice cream spot around Porter Square. They have new artisan flavors updated frequently as well as their staple flavor options. Their flavors are always amazing, so it can be hard to pick just one. Luckily, you can get more than one scopp with size small and up. Even the small size it a decent amount of ice cream for a decent price. While there are seats inside, it definitely feels like more of a grab and go type of place. There is a couch in the corner, but the seat is usually taken by other groups if it's a busy day. There is a standing table in the center as well as a few seats and a table along the wall. All around a great ice cream place.

Got the Salted Caramel and Mocha Hazelnut with honeycomb candies and cone chips. Tasted amazing and the flavors were so well created. Will be coming back! (Also a great place if you have a soy allergy like myself)

They were out of all except a few flavors when I visited, though that suggests their popularity and helped me choose. The flavors they had all seemed intriguing. They even have flavored waffle cones that tasted freshly made. Enjoyed the ice cream and air conditioning on a hot day.

Hands down my favorite ice cream spot. They are very friendly, they always have super creative seasonal flavors, and their standard flavors are also great (milk chocolate strachiatella and dark chocolate sorbet are personal favorites). They have ice cream tacos every Tuesday that are just about the cutest things ever. But the real piece de resistance is their ice cream cakes - the small size is perfect for a two-person celebration with some leftovers. The cakes have to be ordered ahead but it’s very worth it. Pretty much the only things I would change about Honeycomb: they often run out of most of their flavors by the end of the night in the summer, and I wish they would do taste samples again (they stopped doing this at the start of Covid). Highly recommend!

Salted Carmel and Honey Lavender flavors! Tasted great with the addition of the HoneyComb Candy which tasted liked toasted marshmallow with the crunch of a chip and the stickiness of a Heath bar! UNIQUE topping would recommend :)

A good ice cream parlor with a few unique flavors. Their hook is that they have full control over their farm to ice cream pipeline, which is cool but I couldn't taste a difference in their final product.

Got 2 pints of ice cream: salted caramel and basil goat cheese. Both absolutely delicious. The caramel is not too sweet and it has a very rich caramel taste. The basil goat cheese was surprising and almost in between savory and sweet. However, I’ve also had some disappointing flavors including sweet corn with blackberry jam (way too much blackberry jam which made it much too sweet). The s’mores flavor is also just fine, nothing I’d buy again. Please note - they do NOT allow for tastes of the ice cream, which is annoying for how expensive the ice cream is! I think they would get a 5 star review if they allowed for tastes!

I highly recommend Honeycomb Creamery for ice cream and for events! We were super lucky to have Kristen and the Honeycomb Creamery for our wedding reception! The ice cream was a major hit to kids, friends, adults, and even the elders! We got four flavors - malted vanilla, salted caramel, milk chocolate sracciatena, and horchata (vegan). All four were Amazing! I had a lot of compliments during the wedding but before anyone said anything about my dress or anything they mentioned how they loved the ice cream!! (You think I might be joking but I'm not!). The wedding was a Korean-American mixed wedding and everyone really liked the honeycomb topping - they thought it was the squid game topping haha. Kristen was also just so so amazing to work with. Really great communication and I think I literally sent her one email 2 hours before the wedding with not really a specific description of where to go but she was so great, so flexible, so kind, so friendly, and so reliable!! Please don't waste time and money on other places! 5 out of 5 stars!!:D

Im stunned!!! I had the watermelon chamoy flavor and was amazed by it. im a spice fiend so I added candied jalapeños as a topping and it was so worth it. They make all the ice cream in the store!! They don't offer samples but the staff was so friendly and answered all the questions I had and offered great recommendations too.

This is actually one of the few places that I didn’t mind getting ice cream from. I love the different types of cones they had & as well as the ice cream flavors. They don’t have a huge selection like other places but it’s still a good amount of choice. The place is well kept clean & friendly & cozy as well as it’s not too big or too small. Would def come back again

The ice cream was delish and the cone was outstanding. Got scoops of the Thai tea and milk chocolate stracciatella in a matcha waffle cone. Cones are made in-house and they're the perfect consistency. We came on a Saturday night, so it was pretty busy, but service was a little slow (hence the four stars).

The ice cream here is ridiculously good. All the flavors are creative and interesting, so it was hard to pick. I got the seasonal pumpkin pepitas brittle. It was creamy with fresh pumpkin in it and not overly sweet. The crunch of the sweet and salty brittle really brought it to another level. Will definitely be back.

Amazing ice cream! I wanted to check this place for so long because there are always a bunch of people waiting to get their ice cream, and for good reason! There are few flavours, but all they have are delicious. Malted Vanilla is my favourite. Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. No samples, though. As a testament to their prestige, there was a queue waiting for them to open on a Saturday afternoon. Although you may have to wait a minute, they dispatch customers efficiently and the wait is worth it.

Ice cream is delicious (and pricey). Flavors are really limited and be warned, your kid will probably not like anything. In-person service at a not busy time was bored and impersonal, but reasonably fast and the place was kept clean.

Very cute shop in a great location in Cambridge but not the best soft serve Chocolate ice cream I’ve ever tried. Extra points for their sprinkles and looks like a great spot for students in the area to get a treat.

Good quality ice creams, but I wish they had more eggless flavors. They typically have two or three, which they don’t change often, and most of them contain nuts as well. Not a fantastic place for vegans or people with food sensitivities, but great for others.

On top of that, a lot of their supplies are locally created and supplied from, so it's a great place to go to if you want to support local businesses. Fan favourite ice cream？ It was more like ice butter. If you are there to try out the flavours, great, if you get a kid size one flavour on a cup, probably ok, but if you get a small size and up, it becomes an overdose. The cream was probably over churned and it became oily. I had the honey oats flavour with a hint of salt, but due to the glistening effect I was eating frozen salted butter in the end. My Wife's dark dark chocolate was good though.

Walking in, you can smell the honeycomb flavor. The ice cream was great (got the salted caramel and smores). Smores was harder to taste but the salted caramel was great. It's a good spot and close to the Porter station with a lot of other decent restaurants near by. The community wS mainly younger students or professionals living in the neighborhood.

Tried the Milk Chocolate Stracciatella on a Vanilla Waffle Ice Cream Cone and I loved it!! It had the most amazing texture and all the richness. The ice cream had tiny dark chocolate flakes in the milk chocolate ice cream base and it was fantastic when paired with the Waffle cone. Just felt that it was a tad bit pricey for the Kiddie sized scoop I ordered. Also, there was ample seating space here. Would love to try their Taco Tuesday ice cream sandwiches. All in all, this place is a must try!

The BEST Ice Cream in the Boston Area. HoneyComb creamery is a small batch ice cream shop that sources their ingredients from local farmers and businesses. This ice cream is to die for, it is super sweet and creamy and you don’t need a huge size to satisfy your cravings (kiddy or small is perfect). They have a few nondairy options and other treats as well. If you see something you like make sure you get it as you might not see it for a while (like s’mores).

I first tried their vanilla port cherry at a farmers market a couple of years ago - before they’d opened their own store - and it blew my mind. I’ve had almost all of their flavors, I’ve ordered cakes for birthdays, during lockdown I had so many ice cream tacos delivered because they are perfect. The owner is a genius. The flavors are so rich but not overwhelming or cloying. Everything tastes *real* - like the ingredients used, not some fake approximation. The late summer flavors with fruit jams mixed in are fantastic. The ice cream tacos are always some amazing combination of different tastes and textures. Honestly, Honeycomb has ruined me for all other ice cream.

I think this place shines on it's sundaes. It's a lot of ice cream so definitely bring a friend to split it. The flavors are definitely inventive too so it's worth coming back to check things out and try new things.

Loved the creaminess, which I guess comes from great quality & fresh cream/milk! Liked the malted vanilla but salted caramel was too sweet. The first few bites/licks were good but I got surfeited pretty quick. Matcha waffle cone was a tad bitter. Ordered a large and being a slow ice cream eater it was melting all over (me) in the nice warm spring weather, but that's on me. Strongly suggest providing a hand sanitizer at the collection point.

Excellent range of flavours, and always introducing new ones! The ice cream tacos are great too, I just wish they would offer them on more days than just Tuesdays. The online ordering and contactless pickup works pretty well, though pickup can be pretty slow on warm days once they get busy.

Best ice cream I've ever had, hands down. Very creative, non-traditional menu. However, the service is below par and honestly quite rude. The runner came out and was fairly aggressive to the patrons in line rather than welcoming them to the creamery. If the ice cream wasn't A+, I would not come back.

I've tried a lot of Boston's ice cream shops and Honeycomb is one I always go back to. The salted caramel crackle is my go-to, although I've always been impressed with their array of unique flavors. I have come here for Fluff fest where I got the salted caramel crackle with belgian waffles, blow-toreched fluff, and caramel syrup which was delightful. Also got a s'mores taco on Taco Tuesday which was great! A little pricy but well worth it.

The ice cream is really good, but the waffles are too thin and the ice cream melts too quickly (especially considering there is no seating inside or outside nearby). Within a 2 minute walk to find somewhere to sit, the rapidly melting ice cream had dissolved the waffle and made a giant mess.

Ice cream was okay, waffles were the star of the show. Unfortunately they closed out a large section of the shop and we couldn’t eat inside, not even standing around. A number of patrons weren’t even eating and was taking up space.

Really tasty flavor choices, and the mix-ins are outstanding. The gingerbread in their gingerbread chocolate chip flavor is great. Be sure to come early on Taco Tuesdays: the tacos are great, but sell out fast.

Good service. Be sure to order before online. You then go stand in the line outside the store and when you’re in the front, you call them to let them know. They bring out your order. Really appreciated their process. Then there’s the ice cream. I ended up getting the peanut butter brownie, and honeycomb toffee I believe. Both were so fresh and delicious. Loved it. (Sorry forgot to take a photo)

Fantastic quality ice creams with a wide range of flavors. You can really taste the quality of ingredients in the product. They also have a robust curbside pickup protocol so that's an added bonus. Well worth taking the few minutes to go here if you're in the area.

The cones are AMAZING. Buttery and crispy. So delightful. We got malted vanilla, browned butter oatmeal cookie, apple cider donut, and s'mores ice creams. We liked all of them, but the BBOC and apple cider donuts are exceptional.

I'm saying it...hands down the most amazing soft serve in Boston! We are late in finding out about this place, yes thats true, but I am so glad we finally visited this summer. The first time we tried it, we had the chocolate and vanilla twist and we immediately had to have it everyday. What we like about it is that we don't feel heavy after eating it and don't feel sick. I have to admit, that the first time we had it, my daughter and I went back for a second cup. I'm not proud to admit that but it was that good and even after the second cup, we felt full but didn't feel heavy or sick that it was too rich. I do appreciate the richness of some frozen custards but sometimes they can be too creamy that I can only eat it once in awhile. While other soft serve taste like nothing or its like milk with cornstarch. My husband tried the malted vanilla ice cream today and said that its the best vanilla he has ever tasted. I know these are bold statements but I will say it anyway. Its your loss if you don't try it.

Really really good ice cream. Not a huge assortment of flavors but the flavors they do have are unique and all sound very good. The peanut butter patty topping paired excellently with their vannila! Unfortunately stuff seems to be out of stock pretty quickly -- like they didn't have any waffle cones left which was kinda a bummer. But overall really liked it!

Yum!! My favorite things about honeycomb are their unique flavors, and waffle cones. Definitely get the waffle cone here - it's light and crispy, and holds up to the melting ice cream pretty well. I'm a huge fan of unique flavors and salt in ice cream (LOVE salt and straw in CA), so I come here for that -- jasmine sea salt ganache is my current fave with Thai tea, and salted caramel crackle high up there as well! Will be trying the London fog soon too hopefully. I will say that I prefer the texture of the ice cream at toscanini's (my other top local spot), and toscis giant chocolate chips, but that might be a personal preference. Can't wait to come back!

For almost 8 dollars one can get two rather small scoops that half-heartedly fill the container (large size). Some of the flavors are actually quite good and then some left me wondering if it was ice cream or some kind of slush. Going to nearby creameries can get me almost twice as much ice cream for less and the heavier consistency I prefer.

I can tell you about some of the flavours I tasted. Peanut butter and honey ice cream was simply a sloppy box you buy in a grocery store. Green matcha ice cream was green, thats all I can say. No more, no less. But my biggest grievance was with how miserly the store operators are - I asked for a simple thing, a glass of water. All I got was a cup that could hold no more than 10 ml. Please be a bit more generous when giving people water, especially when I had to wait 10 min to even enter your store on a feeling hot day.

Friendly service, not too long a wait, reasonable prices, great selection of interesting flavors, and amazing waffles. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the Cambridge area is so full of amazing ice cream that it takes a lot to earn five stars, and their ice cream wasn't quite as rich and creamy as some. Still, the waffles are worth a return trip, and the honey lavender ice cream will still draw me back whenever I don't feel like trekking out to Christina's.

The ice cream is very rich, though the flavors from some did not always come through strongly. The London Fog was excellent and was one of them that the flavor was more pronounced. I also had the honeycomb candy and the whipped cream. Was very enjoyable and I would be happy to visit again soon!

pretty good ice cream. i would recommend the thai ice tea and avoid the vegan banana option. ordering system is a bit archaic, you have to go to a website, order then wait in line. think having a QR code will make the process a bit more streamline

We LOVE Honeycomb Creamery ice cream. It's very hard to find ice cream that is truly made from scratch, and this small business goes above and beyond. They make everything from scratch, even their little gummy bears. I love supporting a local, woman owned business who's truly doing it all, including being a mom. We even bought our family pints of ice cream for Christmas one year. Amazing!

Delicious artisan ice cream! I'm a big fan of anything local, and I was blown away by this sweet little shop. I tasted almost all of the daily flavors, and was so impressed that the flavors were so natural and delicious, plus I couldn't believe all the toppings were made in house (including marshmallow and honeycomb)--outstanding! Pic is the brown butter apple (tasted like apple pie) with fresh toasted marshmallow topping on top. (Yes, they used a blowtorch to torch my marshmallow!!) Reasonably priced, great flavors, friendly customer service. I will definitely be back!

Great ice cream, but have to admit, I was there last year. I had their special, olive oil ice cream. Sounds weird, tasted amazing. By the flavor, you can see they use high quality ingredients and a sell a fresh (small batch) product. They have unique flavors and I wasn’t scared to ask for samples, and you shouldn’t either ;)

If you have a sweet-tooth this is a must try. You can smell the aroma of the honeycomb from outside - it adds a lot to the ice cream if you get it! I had the salted caramel, which I definitely think is their best flavor and the creamiest.

Always a ton of creative new homemade flavors to try. I've never had a flight of ice creams before honeycomb but it's the perfect solution when you can't pick just one. These days you have to order ahead online so make sure to do that first and save yourself some time.

Honeycomb is the best place to get ice cream. The ice cream is so smooth and it tastes unique because they use honey to sweeten it. The honeycomb candy is really good and I always get it. Their bathroom is kind of spooky but it is okay. Also the ice cream is not that expensive! In summary, honeycomb gets five stars because it is delicious, unique, and cheap.

This is a very good creamery. I really enjoyed all the different types of flavors they had available- some of the usual but a lot of originals. The staff was very helpfu, friendly, and knowledgeable. They helped with tasting of a few different flavors. The portion size and price for the scoops are very good. They also seem to be committed to the environment by using compostable packaging. I would recommend everyone to try it out.

The thing they really have going for them is the quality of their ice cream. The honey lavender and the honeycomb are excellent. What they don’t have going for them is the professionalism of their staff. Sometimes they are passive aggressive, sometimes rude and sometimes indifferent, although sometimes they are nice. I think its great they use biodegradable spoons and cups, but please switch to polilactic acid spoons, the wooden ones feel like tongue depressors. They could also use more seating, they have lots of unused space in the shop.

This place is really great! I like that they have several vegan flavors and even vegan chocolate chip cookies. So far I've tried the pumpkin ginger crisp, horchata, and Taza mint chocolate chip. All of them were so fresh! You can see strands of ginger in the pumpkin ginger crisp and the mint chocolate chip is so fragrant - it tastes like a mint leaf! If you're vegan you should definitely check this place out for some great ice cream. The prices are also very reasonable - just $5.50 for two big scoops!

Really great flavors and texture that hit the spot on a warm spring day. We got London Fog and Mocha Hazelnut, which turned out to be a great balance of heavy coffee tones and lighter notes of earl grey tea. Long lines aren't unusual and there are just a few tables, but people don't usually linger too long so chances are you can find a spot to sit like we did.

We walked in at lunch time on Sunday to find a quiet store with a chill authentic atmosphere of an ice cream joint of years past. The staff were preparing something in the back, there was a tray of what looked like freshly prepared matcha waffle cones behind the counter, everything was simple and neat. What a refreshing feeling after some packed and stressful ice cream places! We got 2 flavors each, and all were original and delicious. I was particularly impressed by the matcha waffle cone and slightly salty pretzel and caramel flavor. Lovely!

My wife and I had a craving for ice cream and we want to try a local place. So, we come across Honeycomb and, my god, we were sooooooooooo glad we came. The ice cream was so flavorful and not heavy unlike other ice parlors. They have a unique menu of different flavors that you wouldnt find anywhere. I tried the cookie sandwich with thai iced tea ice cream while my wife had jasmine & sea salt ganache. They both tasted amazing. The cookies of my sandwich taste as they fresh out of the oven and apparently works well with the thai iced tea ice cream. I took a bite of my wife's jasmine & sea salt ganache and it was good too. Soooo worth it. The price is just right. We will be back to Honeycomb soon, hungry for more as we will try out EVERY flavor of their unique menu. GO THERE!

A unique place, to be sure. Offers savory as well as sweet ice cream - basil goat cheese, when I was there - which is a wonderful change of pace. I ordered a flight of flavors, all of which had a thick, solid consistency you don't see much in modern "ice cream", and a satisfying evenness of all of its component ingredients. The atmosphere of the shop recalls the best of the small business ideal: one or two clerks up front, with the rest behind a partition, actively making & testing out different potential flavors for future sale. It's clear the people who work here actually care about the products they make, which is shockingly rare nowadays.

My favorite ice cream place in Cambridge, if only the owners were as delightful as their flavors. Could tell from the last time we came that the place was run like a dictatorship. My friend was yelled at to stand in line even though he'd said repeatedly he wasn't getting anything. I'd asked just to see if perhaps they could do something special for my birthday and the poor guy ran back out saying, "I don't have the authority I'm so sorry." That became the catchphrase of the night, because on many occasions simple requests were responded with, "don't have the authority." You need authority to put an extra scoop of ice cream on a sundae even if I said I could pay for it??

Honeycomb is actually one of my favorite ice cream places in Boston. Staff is friendly, flavors are innovative, and the portions are just perfect -- you can get a kiddie with toppings for just around $3, which is a perfect not-too-indulgent treat. I've been wanting to try this place for a long time, so we made a pit stop here on our drive back to Central from Arlington. I was overwhelmed by all the tasty sounding flavors on the menu board when I walked in, but after sampling a few, I decided to go with a small ($4) with two of the vegan flavors: horchata and minty cookies and cream. The were both super yummy, but they did have a slightly off texture for being vegan, and the minty cookies and cream had a very salty aftertaste. I also sampled the matcha pistachio and oats and honey, both of which were super delicious. I started a stamp card and intend on returning soon!

Nobody believed me about the COVID (and it shows) but NOW IS YOUR CHANCE to TRUST me as I tell you that this place is hands down THE BEST ice cream you will EVER EVER EVER EVER have. I had a small scoop of the Salted Caramel Crackle and asked for extra honeycomb candy on top AND the Taza chocolate shell (Taza is local chocolate and SO good) and OMG it was the BEST ice cream treat I have EVER had, even better than anything I ever had in Europe (including gelato in Italy). The honeycomb candy is that stuff aka sponge candy in the Midwest but this seems housemade and super soft, it's both crunchy and melts in your mouth. Big chunks on top and soft but crunchy chunks throughout the ice cream. The Taza shell is perfect because it has a low melting temp so it actually melts and blends in with everything in your mouth, unlike chocolate chips or chunks that stay frozen for a bit and taste chalky (don't get me started on the travesty of mint chocolate chip/chunk ice cream that should always have been stracciatella style with the flecks). OMG if you are local DO NOT PASS GO, and get ready to fork over $200 by the end of the summer because this is IT, you won't ever want to waste money or calories on any other ice cream again knowing this is here.

They make their own cones? Say what?! On a late Sunday afternoon, they weren't too crowded. We walked in and read all the different ice cream flavors. Lots of unique names and I love to try those flavors which you may not find elsewhere. Two tastes per person only. Usually, we don't opt to taste because some places use disposable plastic spoons - one lick and off to the landfill you go! But to our delight, Honeycomb Creamery has much more sustainable options. They offer a taste with stainless steel spoons. Two thumbs up, hope this trend catches on! We tried one flavor each and they were so good that we got those and didn't try anything else! They also make their cones in-house, three flavors - matcha, vanilla and chocolate. We got a matcha waffle cone with two scoops of ice cream - matcha-pistachio and black sesame-raspberry (unique flavors as promised!). We topped it off with torched marshmallow - a great addition. The waffle cone was delicious. Crunchy, you could also taste a little salt in it which complemented the ice-cream. Most places use mass-produced cones which sometimes have a chemical-like after-taste. So yay for in-house cones! Both scoops of ice-cream were good too. You could definitely taste each individual flavor. They have a few tables for you to sit and eat your ice-cream. There's also a selfie-corner if you'd like one with your ice-cream! Honeycomb Creamery - I look forward to you opening more locations!

Unfriendly staff. They give you a ridiculously small amount of ice cream to try. Watermelon mint is disgusting as it super sweet. Waffle cons are not bad but they put too much sugar in it. They say it is an ice cream from scratch and they use good local ingredients, but do you really know what they put inside? Is there any way to check ingridients list? I throw away watermelon scoop and it never melted, weird, isn’t it?

Most everything is made in house. The ice cream flavors aren't like Baskin Robbins. They don't have chocolate but double chocolate swirl (haven't tried yet). More interesting are flavors like alfajores (short bread cookies, dulce de leche filling and all covered with chocolate), honey lavender and lemon curd with mascarpone ganache (strongly recommend). I'm docking a star because the ice cream is a bit icy, but taste matters most to me so that's why I'll come back.
