Such good and homemade ice cream! I went there several times during my stay and tried a different flavour each time, it never disappoints, and the portions are quite big. They have classic flavours as well as special ones. I like how the place looks, kind of traditional and not the typical ice cream shop.

This is where all the locals go to get their ice cream fix. They have a very wide selection of ice cream flavors, including some very fun specialty flavors. Yes sometimes there is a line but it’s for a very good reason, it’s worth the wait. My favorite time to go is during lunch break for a mid day treat!

Came to Christina's with high expectations based on the reviews I read and what I heard from folks. While they did not live up to the hype, I will still say it was a good ice cream experience. SETTING: The place is not as nice as Toscanini's or JP Lick's. Whereas those are modern-looking, this one has definitely seen better years. That's not to say that it's a bad thing, I definitely respect a place that has stood the test of time and looks like it (as Christina's does). Be forewarned that the place smells strongly of spices (I sense a strong hit of turmeric) which is quite different from a typical ice cream shop that smells like, well, ice cream. I didn't love sitting inside because of that. ICE CREAM: Something that sets this place apart is the unique flavors. One of my favorite desserts of all time is carrot cake and they have a carrot cake flavor (which I of course got). I also tried their chocolate banana as it made me think of a Diana banana. The ice cream was good but not the best I've had. I love that the carrot cake has raisins in it which adds textural contrast. It definitely tasted like carrot cake! The chocolate banana ice cream had a very strong banana flavor, I wish it was a bit stronger on the chocolate than it was. Something to be noted is that the value here is better than at the above-mentioned shops so definitely good for some less expensive ice cream. I would love to come back to try some of their more creative flavors like Burnt Sugar (which everyone seems to be raving about).

With a sister shop that sells exotic spices, how could Christina's possibly go wrong? The flavor list may have you thinking that you've entered Willy Wonka's magical laboratory, where lines cease to exist between dinner and dessert. Take a taste of the Kaffir Lime, Cinnamon Rice Pudding, or Thai Basil ice creams and you will see just how beautifully those lines can be torn down.

Lots of interesting flavors and options. Really liked the matcha green tea ice cream because it was rich and not too sweet. The khulfi ice cream was interesting with lots of pistachios. But the waffles were not my favorite, they were too crunchy.

Best ice cream shop around with great customer service! They have all the classics and some less traditional flavors- all at a good price point for the great quality (very smooth, creamy texture and never too sweet)! The green tea ice cream is insanely good - not bitter at all and very rich in flavor and creamy. Be sure to also try the guava sorbet - it’s jam packed with flavor.

Got their kulfi flavor, it was delicious,a flavor I've never had before and so good. Burnt sugar had an off, literally burnt taste, but got more mild the more I ate it, and kept getting better with every bite! Chocolate 5 spice was great and unique also! I'd love to try a 5 spice with a vanilla base. And the chocolate banana flavor was great as well. I'll be back to try more of their flavors. Not pricey either. Well worth coming to check out

Decided to bring the kids here on a whim on a Friday evening. Christina's had all the classic flavors (and toppings) that the kids could want as well as some enticing novelties (burnt sugar anyone? Me. I'm anyone). Great prices that allowed us to try a bunch of combinations without breaking the bank. The two servers were very patient with us -- yes, I'll change my mind with every flavor on the menu -- especially when the kids needed more napkins, spoons... and toppings! Love that this is a neighborhood spot, visited by college students, families, dating hipsters and septuagenarians alike. Love that the ice cream is house made. Love that they're actually open till 9.30pm like they say so on the website! Will definitely come here again :)

They had good ice creams and each scoop is enough for two people. We had the green tea which was matcha and it was good. We also had a chocolate flavored one which had brownies instead it. I don't recall the exact name. But that was amazing. The sweetness level of both flavors were light, that's why we liked it a lot.

All-around solid ice cream. Texture-wise, their ice cream has a soft consistency (more like gelato than classic hard service). I enjoyed their off-beat flavors like burnt sugar and Irish cream. Certainly well-done if not the greatest I've had. About $6 for 2 sizable scoops, so on par for the portion/pricing. Def a great option in the area (though I'd personally prefer Toscanini's for punchier flavors)

I got a medium cup with strawberry sorbet and chocolate mousse ice cream. I was very underwhelmed. The strawberry sorbet tasted more like Italian ice -- mild artificial strawberry flavor, mostly tasted icy. The chocolate mousse tasted like generic store brand chocolate ice cream. I also got Heath and M&Ms toppings and they tasted and looked like they had been left out for a while. I wouldn't come back here -- there are plenty of delicious artisanal ice cream shops at similar price points in the area!

Great ice cream place! Lots of flavors! I love the butter almond, chocolate and kulfi flavors there. There is no place to sit inside anymore. So we took the ice cream to a nearby bench and enjoyed it. It's in a good location too!

Happened to be in the area for a bit, and seen a crowd of folks with cones and cups. Went in and grabbed the Chocolate Peanut Butter with crushed Reese's bits (medium) & Black Raspberry (small). Best damn ice cream I came across in a while!

This ice cream is absolutely delicious. I love the variety of flavors, but I always land on the classics and have never left disappointed. You can taste the quality of the cream they use and their pints/quarts to go are a hit. I got a quart of their sweet cream ice cream to top an apple crisp I made one time and I don't think I've made many better decisions in my life. The staff are always happy to help you out to and it's laid back vibe is very inviting. Can't wait to see what new flavors they have the next time I'm in!

I have been meaning to try here for a while, but I was kind of disappointed with my ice cream here. I got coconut almond chip and found the coconut base to be great flavor and texture, but the chocolate chips were the waxy type that don't taste like chocolate at all, so that was a bummer. If I lived nearby I would go here (but avoid flavors with certain add ins), but because it's out of the way for me, I will stick with the other homemade ice cream places in Cambridge.

After walking by Christina's for months I finally decided to give it a shot, and to be honest I wasn't overwhelmed. The ice cream itself was pretty good, and they definitely have some unique flavours (I assume inspired by Christina's other business selling spices) but the inside of the store felt a little dark and dingy — not quite the classic ice cream parlor vibe. I'll definitely give it another shot but with so many other great ice cream shops nearby it's a hard sell.

I get pints and quarts here. Quality of the ice cream is excellent, whether I'm in the mood for a basic flavor or something exotic. Staff is helpful, social distancing and mask wearing is well-enforced, and wait time is minimal even when there are multiple customers. My favorites are coconut almond chip, burnt sugar, and carrot cake. The chocolate mousse is also the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had.

Great quality ice cream with a huge variety of flavors. Highlights for me include green tea and black raspberry. I don’t go often anymore since being dairy free—I wish they had cream-based non-dairy options rather than just sorbets. If you don’t have an issue with dairy, though, I recommend stopping by for a pint or scoop!

I know this place is getting great reviews, but I didn't really notice anything spectacular about it. They had 1 or 2 interesting flavors from what I could see available. I decided to try the talked about burnt sugar. It definitely tastes like burnt sugar. Although at first it piqued my interest, by the 3rd bite I had had enough. My husband got the sweet cream and that tasted pretty ordinary, but was good enough to eat compared to my flavor fail. All-in-all not a bad experience, just didn't live up to the hype for me.

Seem to be low on most flavors. They have two menus but only one seems to be kept up to date, so you you'll have to pick a few alternative options while you are in line. Very good ice cream, but wish the selection was bigger and menus were up to date to avoid wasting time.

Good but not incredible ice cream. They have a nice selection of flavors, but their base is a little too icy especially with fruit flavors. Friendly staff and cute atmosphere. In terms of quality, I’d go to Toscanini’s every time.

Always go for 3 scoops! Share! I always say try the vanilla if you go to a new ice cream joint. This place doesn't disappoint! But there are tons of other flavors too. Coffee and Oreo is delicious! I usually ask for a banana split, but this place doesn't do banana split. They make up for it with tons of unique flavors!

Very good ice cream, but not my favorite in Boston. Like Toscanini's, Christina's has a very extensive selection of flavors and rotate with the seasons. It's worth multiple visits just to try many of the more interesting flavors. Portion sizes are good for the price. Expect to wait though, line is often out the door!

3rd favorite ice cream place in Boston(of 9 I've tried), but that's not a knock on them. Their ice cream isn't quite to the standard of Toscanini's, but they make up for it with some crazy flavors of their own; the carrot cake was by far my favorite. Prices are a tad high, but not unreasonable given the quality. I would come here first when I'm in the mood for some new, strong flavors.

Ice cream place with a whole smorgasbord of flavors. I got the chocolate banana flavor in a waffle cone. The ice cream was very tasty, but the scoop was fairly small and the waffle cone was solidly okay. Would recommend for the choice of wacky flavors, but don't go with your indecisive friends.

Christina's is a very cute spot with a solid selection of ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbets. As a dairy-troubled person I appreciate a generous selection of frozen yogurt and sorbets and tried a two scoop vanilla bean and black cherry chip cup. The portions were great, we had some crushed almonds for topping. The frozen yogurt itself was very thick, and would be great for folks who like creamy heavy froyo. I personally like a more tart and light frozen yogurt selection but would recommend checking out Christina's if you're in the mood for a very creamy treat!

Christina's Homemade Ice Cream is one of my favorite ice cream shops in Boston. I would describe their ice cream as one of the stickiest in town. It sticks to your spoon more than any other ice cream I've had and stretches almost like it's cheese. They make their own fun flavors, along with the traditional ones. Some of my favorites are the chocolate peanut butter, coconut almost chip, mint chocolate chip, and pistachio. In a town where there are a lot of ice cream shops to choose from, Christina's is definitely one that should make the top of any list.

I know this place is well regarded but have to say I wasn't really blown away. I tried the carrot cake and ended up with the pumpkin ice cream. I liked the flavor selection such as green tea. I wasn't impressed with the flavor though or the hot fudge. I prefer Toscanini's -better ice cream, space and super yummy hot fudge.

A little treasure of an ice cream shop in Cambridge. All of the ice cream is made in house and is super delucious. Christina's is also well known for featuring more adventurous flavors like pad Thai. They let you try samples of their different flavors if you ask, so maybe you'll find something new you like! The store also doubles as a spice shop, and because of that, always smells deliciously of nutmeg and cloves.

Christina's has many flavor that I have not run across before. I tried Khulfi, a cardamom and pistachio mix, that was quite good. My wife had the mango ice cream and thought it good also. I would say the creaminess of the ice cream here was lower than some other homemade places such as Kimball's in Westford (my current gold standard). That said, I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

By far the best ice cream I have ever had, anywhere, period. The 80% dark chocolate is so delicious I actually cried the first time I tried it. I'm not exaggerating. I detour every time I'm in the Boston area just to make sure I get some. They experiment with flavors all the time. A hundred times better than Tosci's.

Cute little ice-cream shop in Inman Sq. They have lots of funky flavors, but i'm always ordering the mint chip because it's awesome. I do love their seasonal carrot cake and pumpkin flavors as well. Christina's is easily the best homemade ice cream in town with inspiring flavors like Burnt Sugar, Carrot Cake, and Ginger Molasses. Located right on the the main strip of Inman Square, it's an easy stop after dinner or after work. Be prepared to wait in line, as Christina's in often busy and the service is a little unpredictable, but you'll love every mouthful of ice cream.

Walking into Christina's you very quickly realize how much fresh spice goes into their original flavors. You may be tempted otherwise, but if it's your first trip make sure to sample at least one of the spice flavors. Khulfi and ginger molasses are hard to top.
