I had to try Huckleberry ice cream while in Idaho. To me, looks like a blueberry and tastes like a boysenberry but sweeter. They did let me sample ice cream. The pickle rick tasted good but it is an acquired taste either you will like it or not. As for Huckleberry ice cream, I split it with one other person and delicious. The ice cream is homemade every week. It was hot in there while paying for ice cream but I would get it from there again.

Friendly little family place with a lot of history. You can choose dining or takeout. Our server seemed pretty new. Sandwiches were unique flavors. Jalapeño stacker was a 2 layer sandwich with cheddar, bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. Soup was ok. Ice cream and milkshakes make this place a landmark.

Creamy, rich, delicious ice cream! I got two scoops of death by chocolate. They serve food here too. You can get cones or cups and they have different sundaes available. Banana splits offered as well. The inside is decorated in cute retro. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

BEST ICE CREAM I HAVE EVER HAD. It was like, so smooth and creamy. Melted in my mouth. Got the huckleberry and I will always get it from now on. Burger was pretty good too! Fries were okay. I was starving when I had my burger though, so I’m probably very biased. I say, come for the ice cream, and try out the burger!

I love to take my kids here and have just a nice little sit down meal. We all love this food, and its so delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for its service, and of course, its food. I recommend the bacon cheese burger because one, the meat tastes so good with he bacon inside of it, and two, the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions felt really fresh in my mouth. Also, their ice cream was super duper good as well. Even though it's winter, I will definitely go for food and ice cream! 10/10

Good group of employees trying their best. Great attitudes. Service is volume dependent as they can get overwhelmed. The food is decent but lacking in cooking skill. Onion rings were good, fry sauce is perfect, but the Philly was lacking. They've gotten better! They are actively working on training young employees now. Ice cream is superb and they even make their own bread for the kitchen. Its getting better everyday.

First visit to Delsa's after several recommendations. It sure didn't disappoint! The burgers, fries & tots were scrumptious!! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, the patio just lovely. We were too full for ice cream this time, but will be back for a famous milk shake!

Delsa’s old-timey theme and environment is easy to fall in love with. The ice cream is phenomenal and the burger I had was subpar, however the curly fries are amazing! The serving staff was very young and not very attentive, I found myself wondering “when will the server stop by again” on a few occasions. They were very kind and professional otherwise! Helpful as well. Certainly a place worth going to, and I’m sure they do better usually. Overall, lovely establishment!

The strawberry shake is delicious. But The service is not good as used to I Ordered strawberry shake they fill up the cup to the top and they put the wrong lid and it was dripping all over the cup I tried to clean up and kept coming out cause the lid was too small to cover the whole cup . I ended up throwing the whole drink in trash

This place has been a hidden gem throughout my childhood. Each owner has made it more special than the previous. The latest has created additional seating areas and buildings to hold events, each themed with vintage Delsa signs. They also have a full menu serving great comfort foods. An ice cream shop like this brings out the delightful child in each of us! Great spot for a playful date, grandparents to spoil grandchildren, and parents to make memories with kiddos! Also lots of opportunities for fun photo ops if you're a photographer!

Went to buy my grandsons some ice cream because it was the last day of school. I won't do that again. They had a bunch of kids behind the counter but they weren't working. They were standing around talking. The kid who served us didn't pack the ice cream into a ball on the cone. Both grandsons had to ask for cups because it was melting and dripping all over. A huge chuck of ice cream even fell off and onto the floor. Pretty sure it will be a while before I go back. 🙁

Food was great, service was good. I didn't give a 5 star rating on account that ALL the cups in the restaurant area were covered in film. I noticed my glass was pretty foggy and scrubbed a very small portion of it on the inside and outside in the same place. It came off pretty easily and seemed to me to be a result of just putting the cups in the dishwasher and not actually scrubbing them by hand. I get it, I worked in food business and I understand cups can easily be ran through an industrial dishwasher without having to be scrubbed EVERY time. But these cups were all pretty dirty, and seemed to not have been hand scubbed in a while. I didn't mention anything to our waitresses since she was the only one there and was incredibly busy. I messaged the business later that day and was told that they would make sure the dishwasher was working properly... Anyways, I plan on visiting again some time for another amazing burger, but next time I'll say something about the cups. (First picture is clean spot circled, second is just without)

This place has the most unique ice cream flavors I've seen in Boise so far! I saw Avacado, Watermelon, Pumpkin, Coffee, Cookie Dough, Huckleberry, Bubblegum, Cotton Candy and too many other flavors I can't remember. I tried roasted marshmallow sweet potato and it tasted like a creamy mellow version of that. I also taste tested Guiness and Fireball and they both tasted like the drink but not overpowering. I saw they have homemade cinnamon rolls and if they are as good as they look that may be a reason to visit all on there own! 😋

I would definitely go back again for ice cream, but the food itself isn't great. Had a couple burgers and pretty much tasted like unseasoned beef with the condiments being great value (walmart brand) ketchup and mustard. Honestly burger king and mcdonalds burgers taste better, but you are paying much more here.

i work here. I think it is a lot better than is was a long time ago i just got a job there a few weeks ago but the manager that i met is very nice its not the best considering the price of the ice cream could be a little cheaper i mean 6 bucks for 2 scoops is a little much in my opinion but its still a good place to eat everyone does their job and stays on top of things very good place!

Their ice cream is AMAZING! My biggest issue was there was to many to choose from and all of them looked good. Must try the Philly fries. It was SUPER good and it was a really big portion. Not to mention the staff are really sweet and really helpful. I highly recommend eating there

Delicious as always! The food is classic American done right. Whether it's the salads, soups, burgers, or sandwiches, you can't go wrong with any of their items. They have an old-school diner inside and lots of shaded seating outside. All the desserts are phenomenal, and the service is fast and polite. Great option for quick bites during date night or ice cream with the kids!

Yummy icecream, friendly service; I have a peanut allergy and they don't rinse the scoopers between scooping .. but the young lady found a flavor that hadn't been scooped yet, and luckily it was a yummy flavor! Really lovely back yard with a gorgeous tree and birds singing; I absolutely will return for a burger soon.

This is only a review for the ice cream here, since I haven't had their actual food yet. With that disclaimer I have to say, this ice cream was delicious. They have many different flavors that you can't find other places (including odd ones like avocado). Scoops are very generous, so make sure you know what size you will eat. I was barely able to get through a double scoop. Staff were friendly. They have outdoor seating and a small inside seating area as well. This is a fun local place to go for a quick treat. Very family friendly.

This is a fantastic ice cream parlor that also sells other food items like burgers. On our first visit here, we both tried the Carmel Cups flavored ice cream in a regular cone. It was very good. The ice cream is not super hard, so it is pretty easy to eat. They have lots of interesting flavors we will have to try in the future.

I heard a lot of hype about this place. I visited twice, once for the food & once for their icecream. I was pretty disappointed with the ice cream. They have interesting flavors, but if the classic/traditional flavors don't blow your hair back then expect the same for the rest. I found the burgers & dogs mediocre. Cute shop, not so customer friendly.

There's so much that's good about this place - it would be so much better if the staff wore masks as required by the city. I had lunch here with my 87 year old father and wish the staff had taken measures to protect our health.

My family and I came by to try out the ice cream since the reviews are so high. I can't say we were impressed. The ice cream itself was good, but not exceptional, and the service by the sullen teenagers behind the counter gave us the impression that we were interrupting whatever it was they really wanted to be doing, other than serve customers. We won't rush back.

Thanks ice cream is second to none in the treasure valley. The prices are great for the quality, the staff are friendly and provide an amazing atmosphere, whilst staying professional. I am a big fan. I do love ice cream and this is the only place I have found anywhere close to the Boise area where I can get licorice ice cream. It takes me back to my childhood when my parents would take me to milky way ice cream every weekend. The food is also very good the employees are friendly and helpful

EXCELLENT food. I have always been a tester to see if I would go back or tell anyone. There have been many rejects. Not here. Crunchy fries and rather tots that were fluffy inside. Finger steaks were tender, hamburger was to die for. Tasty, juicy and not one area soggy. The milk shake was fabulous. Fresh made ice cream, no pre mixed etc. What a big difference. AND the price is right for the quality of the food.

Delsa's has a great variety of flavors and the outdoor atmosphere is fun, but the ice cream is over-priced (almost $4 for a single scoop, with no kid cone option) and just average quality. The flavors I ordered were both a bit icy and not very creamy; my husband's order was the same. We don't plan on returning.

Went out to Delsa's for a late night dessert with some friends. I hadn't been there since their new additions to the back and remodel in the front. I had the sundae and I got it with three choices of their delicious one of a kind ice cream. Oh my gosh, their caramel ice cream is AMAZING. Even better though is the S'more ice cream!! We decided to order some food to go and we were assisted by Matt. What a stellar dude. He was so nice and super funny and I mentioned we were interested in reserving the newest back additions and he was so kind to give us a guided tour, tell us the history of the place, and answered any questions I had. I can't wait to go back for some delicious tots and ice cream!

Delsa's is by far the best ice cream parlor I've been to. (They have a restaurant too, but I go for their ice cream). They make all of their ice cream themselves, so you can't buy it elsewhere. The stuff is delicious. The parlor is beautiful. It has an old fashioned look and feel to it. The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. The owner really cares about the place and works right alongside his employees. (You can't get that at a franchise ice cream shop). My only regret with this review is that more people will discover this gem. It's happiness in two scoops.

We love the avocado ice cream the most but it’s not always available but that isn’t a problem as there are many other delicious options to choose from. We’ve had a bacon ice cream that was to die for. If you’re looking for more then ice cream this establishment also has a fun menu to order from. All around amazing place with a fun atmosphere for all ages.

What can I say about Delsa's? Yum, yum, yum! I love Delsa's and their fun, creative flavors. There are always classic flavors of course but I always try to get something different, so far my favorite is the Rice Crispy ice cream. Great place to come in the summer. The inside has an old diner feel.

Great choice of flavors, they've kept the Lemon Custard from the 1970s, still going strong! I think more than $3.50 is too much for a scoop of ice cream and they didn't offer a mini "kids" scoop. But it's a Boise tradition that's been here since I was a kid. Homemade ice cream, yummy! They also offer sandwiches and restaurant food, good place on Ustick Road.

I used to come here whenever me or my friends had the money to get something to eat in middle school, and still went there a lot for my first year in high school. Very generous in letting us taste as many samples as we (6 adults, 4 kids....), ...such chaos, but staff were all so very pleasant, friendly, calm and we all had two or three scoop cups os soooo many different flavours! And we found the homemade ice cream not only so creamy and dense, as expected, but even more full of flavor than other local homemade fairy shop ice cream!

The food here is really good, and the ice cream's great! What I don't enjoy is how non-hygienic it is in this restaurant. Everytime I've gone in it looks like the seats, windows, floors, and even tables haven't been properly cleaned. Pictures are tilted on the walls and there's even holes in the seats of where you sit. I don't even dare take a look at their kitchen. Not saying it's on the level of disgusting, but it reminds me of a McDonald's playhouse with the smell of kids and their stinky feet that hasn't been properly cleaned in who knows how long- just to get a bit more specific. I enjoy their food and service so much that I am still giving them a 4 star review, but if this place doesn't tidy up a bit, I dont think I'll be dining in again.

I love your shop, but t I do want to express my disappointing experience. I ordered a veggie burger and when it came it was clearly a South Western style. This would mean it has hot spices in it. From one taste I could tell it had some spice I am alergec to.i let the young man know I could not eat it for this reason. He said he asked the cook and they said it had no spices in it. I was not going to argue with them. He asked if I would like something else . I appreciated that jester and asked for chicken salad in a bowl.the switched it out for me but unfortunately I was already sick from the veggie burger. So I ask for any one else with allergies that your staff may let people know if your veggies patties are spicey or not.i was sick all weekend. I do love your food and your ice cream and will come back but will not order the veggie burger.

I have always liked this place. My family and I went there to try their Breakfast they offer on the weekends...and oh boy...It just does not compare to The Capri at all. Supposed to be the same...but it was not at all. Was not what I thought we would experience. We will stick to Lunch and dinner. And go to the Capri for breakfast next time.

They have delicious hand made icreams and traditional cafe meals. For the adventuresome hungry diner...try their famous one pound burger! Their Sundays and traditional banana splits are delicious.

I've been going to Delsas since we moved to Idaho as a kid in 1983. Mr. and Mrs. Delsa used to let us feed the horses behind the store that was their home. If I only had two pennies to rub together they would always give me a treat. The food and beverage is amazing and amazingly hasn't changed in all these years. Superb quality and customer service has ensured endurance of this wonderful neighborhood literal mom and pop eatery. 😋

Monday through Friday they have a different lunch special, but unlike other eating establishments their lunch special is all day.
