We stopped here for dessert after having dinner at the Electric. It is definitely a Bluff Park favorite and I can see why. It was very clean and the ice cream choices made it difficult to decide. However, we arrived at 8:30 pm which I now realize was a mistake. After choosing our ice cream, paying, and finding a seat the staff politely informs us that they will be closing soon and we can enjoy our ice cream outside. The time was now 8:49 pm and we were fully aware they closed at 9 pm even without being told by the staff. In the future I know to show up earlier or in the event it is near their closing time another option is the Whole Scoop which is open until 10 pm.

Came here for the first time on October 2, 2022 during a birthday weekend trip. Craved their unique flavors ever since. Now I stop by every time I drive through Birmingham. So delicious and it comes with a reusable spoon!

Stopped by for some sweet treats and we were not disappointed! So glad we were sent here on the recommendation of an employee at Tip Top Grille. This ice cream shop is spotless and adorably decorated. They offer a very wide variety of flavors, as well as other sweet treats. The girl who served us was extremely pleasant and welcoming, giving us samples and talking with us briefly about Birmingham. I had the chocolate brownie flavor, I forget the exact name. It was good - about on par with Ben and Jerry's version. However, my parents had the "Zanzibar," their award-winning chocolate ice cream, and both agreed that it was some of the best chocolate ice cream they'd ever had. I must agree - it was amazing! If you find yourself in the area, go grab some Zanzibar ice cream!

Were from out of town and were craving ice cream, so we figured we'd give this place a try. So glad we did! Such a cute little shop. They were dead when we were arrived, but within minutes filled up and the three young men working jumped into gear. They were all incredibly friendly! Ice cream was great, I LOVE munchie madness! Highly recommend. We'll come back if ever we're out this way again.

My husband and I were on vacation near Birmingham and really wanted a milkshake and ice cream. We were very unsuccessful finding a store till we talked to a police officer. He directed us to Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe. The owner, David Hare, was so friendly and gave us the history of the Shoppe. The ice cream is from Wisconsin and is so tasty. The Zanzibar chocolate is very rich and creamy. We are so glad we found this store.

I love the taste of their ice cream. My work hours today we're 3am til 12 pm. I wanted some ice cream so bad. I stop by on my way home but there register was messed up and the owner had to come fix it. I could not wait for them to come and fix. I had stopped and got a frozen dinner it was to hot to wait that long. I just finished working in the yard and would have loved that cool taste.

This is a great find in the Birmingham, AL area - I found it by accident. GREAT, unique ice cream flavors here including Zanzibar Chocolate, Exhausted Parents' blend, along with traditional flavors like Butter Pecan & Praline Almond, etc. It used to be "Cash Only" but they now accept credit/debit cards. Staff there are young, helpful & know their product. Definitely will be back, this is worth the trip!!

Oh My Goodness!! I've been back to where I grew up for several years now and tonight was my first time trying this delicious ice cream. I'm not a big "Sweet" eater, but good ice cream is a weakening. If you enjoy really good ice cream, Bluff Park us your spot. It is fabulous!😋 The service is very friendly and personable. Love it❣❣🍨🍦

My son convinced us to go by her for some ice cream after diner one night. Man what a surprise!! Bluff park ice cream is a hidden gem that everyone needs to know about!! Multiple flavor choices with a variety of cones or cups. Service was spectacular, the girls waiting on us were willing to help with any questions even had. I picked the peanut butter cookie dough ice cream. Wow, what a flavor combination! It had vanilla ice cream with Carmel, chocolate swirls and chucks of peanut butter cookie dough. Prices were reasonable, the facility was spotless and the staff was wonderful! This place put Brewster’s to shame. We will definitely be back! This is a must go to for a sweet treat while in Bluff Park!!

Unique flavors and options in terms of ice cream mixed with various toppings. Wish there were a few more Sorbet or dairy-free flavors. Service was friendly and quick for the Sunday afternoon that I visited. The parking lot can be a bit hectic as it is off of a busy road. All in all a good ice cream shop!

This is my favorite ice cream shop in town! Always have an excellent selection of new/rotating flavors that are un matched in the Birmingham area. Staff are friendly and willing to let you sample anything. Very clean establishment. Toppings are top notch and serving sizes are generous.

You will not find a more friendly ice cream shop anywhere else in Birmingham. This last time, they let my friends and I stay literally up until they closed. I'll be going back soon.

If you go to this place, order ice cream, and then put said ice cream on your head, your tongue will literally beat your brains out to get to it. I love going to this place! The staff is generous and very interactive, and I enjoy going through the line and chatting with them almost as much as... Well, no, the ice cream is still the highlight!

Really friendly ladies working today (Labor Day) who were kind to my family (including my grandmother in her eighties in a wheelchair). She loved it too, and was happy to see some no sugar added flavors, as she is diabetic. Will definitely be back for some more banana cream pie ice cream. It tastes just like Banana Pudding!

Straight forward ice cream parlor. You go in for scoops of ice cream and will not be disappointed. Huge selection of flavors some with very funny names and several No Sugar Added (NSA) selections. Don't think I have anything bad at all to say about Bluff Park Ice Cream. Location - After you get your Mr P's or Tip Top Grill fix, then swing on by Bluff park Ice Cream Shoppe and grab your dessert. Variety - Tons of flavors of ice cream to choose from as well as shaved ice, as well as toppings. Cup, cones, bowls etc. Standard Ice cream shop stuff. Flavor - I only tasted 2 flavors while here, but that's all I needed to become a fan. Neither was trying too hard or doing too much to be good... they just were. Really good actually. Yeah chain ice creameries probably have most of the same staple flavors, but I'd bet my $ on BPICS for taste! Shoppe Vibe - Sunday evening... crowded. I can only imagine how packed out this place is any other time of day. Line was long but moved quickly, even with people sampling. They have more than enough employees. Couple of TV's and decent seating options both inside and outside. Value - Very fair pricing! Taste to cost ratio is perfect! I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's payday (at the time of this review) so go treat yourself to some Bluff Park Ice Cream Shoppe ice cream!
