Best milkshakes ever!!! This was a real treat. I loved this place. However, this menu is pretty extensive, so I would recommend that you pick out what you want before you get there. It is a bit pricey but worth it. We didn't have to wait long either. It was pretty fast, and the staff was super knowledgeable They do have a secret menu found online. I'd suggest starting there. I'd recommend this treat even when it's 32° outside 😁

Went around closing time on a Wednesday and there were still a good amount of people. Staff was great and friendly. Located right next to the hotel that we were staying at. Price was reasonable and they had cute sinks to wash your hands after you finished eating ice cream. Would go again and recommend to others.

No offense to other fancy/giant milkshakes but they usually suck. The Yards milkshakes look great and taste GREATT. Really enjoyed my banana split milkshake had a bit of a smoothie taste. yummy! Staff is great! So cute inside too. It’s expensive but your getting a giant milkshake with more desserts on top. so many choices I don’t even like milkshakes and I usually think they’re gross but these were really good I’m impressed😌 I really didn’t have high hopes because all the other fancy milkshakes we tried usually are really bad or just okay… $17 for the big one (it comes with a glass jar you keep it!) we got the big ones $11 for the smaller one! it’s worth it. definitely go splits‘s on the big one. Recommend!!! 🥰🥰🥰

There weas a line when I arrived. I waited in line for about 15 minutes. I did not know what to expect exactly I was just looking for a Unique ice cream bar/dessert bar to take my husband for his birthday. Turns out The Yard was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. The staff was friendly and very informative. This place can be a little overwhelming for the first time I would suggest you view the menu online before arrival because they have a large selection to choose from. The treats are pretty expensive actually I believe we spent close to $40 however that was our lunch. We had desert for lunch lol. The vibe was great the experience was unique’ the staff was helpful and clean the location was clean and comfortable. I highly suggest The Yard for a cute date night , birthday spot, special occasion spot, Unique outing with your kids or just a cool place to chill and catch up with friends.

As soon as we walked in we were met with overwhelming hospitality. From the girl who came over to offer our service dog a pup cup to the guy behind the counter who showed us how to access the menu online. Customer service is everything and they went above and beyond to make myself, my husband, and his service dog feel right at home. Thank you for that. From the overall ambiance of good music, tasteful decor, great employees and even better desserts, we absolutely cannot wait to come back. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

An incredible and unique experience. Can be a little intimidating at first walking in. Take your time looking over the menu and ask questions. They have many, many options and will customize your dessert however you like. We went twice. The second time I had a waffle cone with two different flavors of ice cream. The milkshake creations are special and they have seasonally-themed offerings. It’s walking distance from the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, and the College Hall of Fame. There is outdoor seating as well.

All I could really say is wow! The milkshakes we got were absolutely delicious and huge. If you're going to come here, you better bring your appetite because they serve you well and they serve you a lot. The prices are fair. The staff is incredibly helpful and this is a great place to visit and get ice cream or a milkshake if you're in the Atlanta area

Reviews are more than just the food. Overall ice cream and presentation was good but possibly put up signs to how you want things as it was unwelcoming to be sitting at chairs to look at menu then when we get in line asked to please wait outside as to many people inside. Felt like we shouldn't have stayed and then once the plate was brought to my wife as you can see by the picture it almost fell over but my wives fingers grabbed it and instead of a sorry was just asked “Would you like more whip cream?” not a sorry or anything. Yeah customer service isn't easy but first impressions matter and not feeling like we should be the customer or offered help cleaning up is why this place won't get our 4 or 5 star.

Ice cream isn’t the same after you have tried this. We had the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and the Strawberries & Cream Cheesecake. The ice cream was so rich and flavorful!!! The average ice cream shop has nothing on this place! Great family environment for the kids or your or significant other. This place makes memories and the menu is very creative. A must go to in Atlanta guys!!!

This place was cool. Lots of different things to try for milkshakes and ice cream. But of course if you order specialty you just order 1 because its huge. We got the unicorn one since my almost 4 year old loves unicorn. And also cotton candy flavored ice cream. She loved it! It was a too much for me. In the end you could rinse the jar to take home. Parking was extremely ridiculous. We tried to go monday evening hoping it would be easier to fine parking. We got lucky and got street parking after 20 mins going around and around. I almost just went home because it was so stupid. We came at the right time just before 7. If you come around 8 or after dinner. There was even a line until outside, it's crazy. Definitely once in awhile type of treat. For a jar of milkshake it was $16.50 with tax and stuff it was almost $20.

I came here a couple of months ago. My milkshake was huge (I didn't think it was going to be as big as it turned out to be) but it was yummy. I couldn't finish it while there, so they gave me a cup to sit it in so that I could take it to go. My son ended up finishing it and he really enjoyed it. It is also conveniently located near Centennial Park, the Aquarium, the stadiums, etc.

This ain't a place I could go to regularly, goodness these high dollar desserts are packed full of sweet deliciousness. Today was my gals birthday, and she'd been saying she wanted to try this place, so we did. I had the Oreo Cheesecake Delight and she had the Caramel in the Coconut. We thoroughly enjoyed them, and we're so glad we walked more than 5 miles beforehand. The staff were helpful and patient. I recommend hitting this place for a special occasion. It's worth it.

There was quite a line to get in and it was pretty packed, but I was getting one to go. I was allowed to go in, order, get a number, and then go back out to wait. I got the Cereal Killer as a milkshake. It was really good, but I'd like to see a cheaper option to not get the take home glass. They take the glass and put it in a large plastic cup for to-go orders. It would also be nice to see more then 1 milkshake non-dairy option. FYI: Establishments in Atlanta not only charge a state tax, but there's a city tax, county tax, and special district tax.

The shakes were great and there was alot to choose from. The menu is overwhelming to be honest. The only issue we had was the wait time after placing our order. It wasn't a huge deal since we werent in a rush and there's plenty scenery to keep you occupied. Definitely will return.

A fun experience! There was a long line formed in front even before they opened so be prepared to wait. Family friendly. There’s so many options to choose from! I love the creativity with the different milkshakes and desserts. Has indoor and outdoor seating. A little pricey but you get to wash out the jar at the wash station they have set up and keep it as a souvenir.

It's conveniently located and the operating hours support getting a dessert before or after (or both) visiting many of the nearby attractions. The place gets busy and it takes a few minutes to be served, so be patient because what is delivered is a masterfully and whimsically crafted ice cream delight. And yes! Ice cream is cheaper than therapy.

What can I say about this place?! So many desserts to choose from. I chose the turtle Sunday, Which is my favorite. Amazing presentation!! Without the Mason jar it's $11. With the Mason jar it's $18. Delicious.... didn't disappoint.

Highly recommend a visit when in Atlanta! There are a lot of places serving these outrageous milkshakes and charging $20 a pop, but this is the best actual milkshake I’ve had. 4 stars because they use whipped topping not whipped cream and their jars are a little smaller side.

Don't take my 3-star rating too personally - my daughter would give it 5-stars! The name is super cute, obviously & the specialty shakes are super pretty! All the stark white and 'weathered farmhouse' decor is totally 'Meh' to me.... I feel like things with the decor should be more fun & colorful to match the fun & colorful deserts - keep the white walls and just add more color, maybe go Pop-Art style? That's just my opinion though, as I am sick-to-death of the country farmhouse look. Its expensive, but that's ATL for ya. The area where you can rinse out your mason jar only has ICE COLD water & no kind of scrubby to more easily assist in getting the sticky stuff cleaned off the jar. Staff was very friendly. My husband got a 'fancy' shake. My daughter hates messy things, so she opted to get a shake in a plastic cup with a slice of cheesecake on the side. I got the tiniest cup they offer with one-scoop of ice-cream for about $4.50

Amazing! They have some amazing flavor combinations. It's a lot so we shared them and we were not disappointed. Check the menu online for ingredients before hand because it is hard to make up your mind when the pressure is on.

We went in a Saturday night so there was a line but it moved very quickly. The host told us that our order would be out within 15 minutes but it only took about 3 minutes. Not to mention the ice cream was so delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is awesome! Only tried the milkshake here but I expect the Sundae is just as great. The strawberry cheesecake milkshake was amazing with the cup, which you can clean and bring home. I would definitely suggest coming here if you enjoy desserts

When looking for places to check out in Downtown Atlanta I recognized the name of this place from Shark Tank and knew I had to go! It was amazing, super friendly service, everything is prepared quickly and tastes amazing. I had the Birthday Cake milkshake in the souvenir mason jar that I got to take home. They have a washing station in the building to rinse the jar off before taking it home and bags to put it in as well. My only heads up for anyone going is that this is a super popular place with limited space inside. We did wait outside in line in the heat for quite a bit to get in before we could order. It was not a big deal at all but just a heads up you may be standing outside for 30 minutes or more in the heat! Overall, highly recommend going here!!

Everyone has to try this place!! You do have to wait outside if there is a line due to fire code which I appreciate safety. They will call you in when their ready and then you order. We did a to go since our hotel was right there. We all ordered something different which I recommend so everyone can have a taste. It is served in a glass mason jar so you get a keepsake!! Visiting Atlanta and happy I tried this place. Such unique milkshakes with a cute souvenir jar. They even have a washing station to clean out the milkshakes jar after. The milkshakes were super sweet and delicious! Be prepared to wait because it is a popular spot. They do have umbrellas outside when you get closed to the front to get a bit of shade which is nice.

The yard was awesome! Very Instagram worthy. Just about everyone in there took pics of their ice cream before eating it. We got the peanut butter brownie bliss. You can choose sundae or milkshake, depending on if you want to eat it or drink it. One sundae was definitely enough to share for two people, and cost about $20. Service was very fast and friendly. When you’re finished, you can rinse your mason jar at the washing station and take it home. Be sure to look up the menu before you go because they have a secret menu on their website. Very cute and fun!

We stumbled onto this place after brunch right down the street. Cute little spot with a nice indoor and outdoor dining space (it was raining so nobody was sitting outside). I loved all the decor. It made it so homey and fit the vibe of the place. The menu was a monster!!! So many options that I got overwhelmed because I wanted it all. You literally had anything you wanted and could build your own milkshake. Thankfully the staff was super patient as we picked our items and just took time to look at the menu. If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely a place you need to visit!

I wanted to leave a review about how great the customer service was!!!! We went to the Fernbank Museum before coming to The Yard. There was a line as we expected. But, it was hot and humid and with kids it was even hotter and more humid 🤪 Also, we parked across the street which is paid parking for $10. Just be prepared as parking in Atlanta is always a paid event! One of the employees came outside to find out how many were in our group. We told her nine(9) and that we had a table outside. She said, "I'm going to find a table inside for you!" And boy was it worth it to get inside the air conditioning to enjoy our purchases!!! Thank you for taking great care of us, your customers! We ordered sundaes and OMG what a treat they were!

We went inside twice, first time the girls behind the counter were in the back room giggling for 3 mins and then completely rude after so we left. Typical Atlanta service! Then we came in later when the 2 guys were working and got acknowledged at least after 2 minutes. The "midnight train to Georgia" was a great ice cream and well staff took time to make it look amazing as well as taste amazing. We got the glass jar which was enough to share for 2.

This was such a fun place to visit while in Atlanta, we got there around 3 pm, waited in like to get in for about 10-15 mins, our group ordered 2 milkshakes to share, they offer an amazing vegan milkshake here so definitely give it a try, you go in and order your milkshake, it took about 10 mins to get it since there were quite a few people in there, the decor is super cute and they milkshakes are like wow!! It definitely was a great experience, they are a bit pricey, $15 is the average price for one, so not something I would do often but well worth the trip to try this place out, you do get to wash out your glass it comes in to take home with you.

Oh boy! This place is just too yummy and delicious to pass up. We visited the aquarium down the street and walked the few blocks to here for a treat! Orders take a while: My order took around 10 minutes to be made, despite just being ice cream and sprinkles. (They didn't seem particularly busy at the time.) But the ice cream itself was good, and they have a wide selection of options and a nice eating area. Wifi would be nice for people who are eating in or waiting for an order; at present they don't offer wifi to customers.

This place is a lot of fun, and they run a pretty tight ship for the traffic they get. If you decide to go I'd recommend looking at the menu first because they do have a lot of named shakes with lots of ingredients. Good to have an idea what you want before you show. Also has a neat souvenir factor, with the milkshakes coming in glass Mason jars. Even has a sink for you to wash them out before you get back in your car. Ice cream quality is also top notch.

This place is heaven on earth for all the sweet tooth dreamy foodies out there. The menu has a huge selection of different assortments of shakes and ice. The establishment is clean and very inviting. Depending on the time of day you visit, it could be crowded! My family and I always go during the earlier part of the day to avoid the crowd. Customer service is amazing and the owner was very personable with my kiddos. It’s our new place! We love it here!

The Yard Milkshake Bar Atlanta is worth waiting in line for and most clients will be able to get a table indoor or outdoors — with distancing practices still in place (April 2021).

I stayed ar the the Embassy like a block over and found this hot spot. The line was out the door. I ordered a cone with Strawberry and Cookie butter Craze and it was an amaaaazing comfortable! My daughter ordered the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and I was NOT expecting it.to be topped with an actual slice of cheesecake I spent 28 dollars on both, so it was a little pricey and worth every bit!

Great experience indeed! It was a very long line for sure, on a weekend. We waited for over an hour. Seating area is small for a place highly on demand, so probably adding seating outside or offering to-go would be ideal specially with Covid. We tried the unicorn and the salted caramel cheesecake.

This place is amazing, It was my first time there and I got the birthday cake specialty milkshake. the milkshake itself was sweet creamy thick and delicious. The toppings were amazing, piled high with whipped cream and sprinkles topped off with a fluffy cupcake. Hands down both milkshake experience I've had 10/10 would go again.

Another recommendation found and they didn’t disappoint 😊 The atmosphere was great, the the shakes were well displayed and awesome ( The Cookie Monster is what I ordered ). The space was small given the location so there will definitely be a line out the door, service is good so it will move along smoothly. Wow! What a great menu... ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, edible cookie dough (and a secret menu!!!) We all ended up getting sundaes that we couldn’t finish by ourselves. The ratio of toppings to ice cream was perfect; the cookie dough was amazing; the ice cream itself was delicious! Would definitely go back if not so far away... hopefully they open another store in New Jersey!

The staff are super friendly and ready to answer any questions. The place itself is really cute with a farmhouse feel to it. You get the keep the jars the serve in and they even have a huge sink to wash and plastic bags for you to carry the glass Mason jar!

Great milkshake, never had anything similar to it. However pretty expensive, $15 per shake but i get the pricing so im not mad about it. The presentation is amazing, Instagram worthy for sure. We ordered the donut and strawberry cheesecake shakes. The donut one looks amazing but it wasnt as good as the cheesecake one but im probably being biased cause strawberry is the best flavor for anything. Be prepared to be be super messy when drinking/eating your shake! My only complaint, is the location. Very inconvenient if you just wana stop for a milkshake and nothing else. Either have to risk parking in an area where you may or may not be booted or pay for parking.

They my son day!!!! We did a birthday trip and the shake he got was cookie dough. It taste really good. Shocked me that it was $17 but you get the jars and all this stuff which makes it worth it.

Street parking is your best bet, it’s very dark and creepy at night so don’t go alone! I went on a Thursday night so it wasn’t busy, we got our order pretty quickly. Come for the Gram-able photos and reels. Stay for the delicious milkshakes that lives up to the hype. Surprisingly the lines move pretty quickly so no worries even if you see a long line outside. The milkshakes were really delicious and definitely worth the experience - oftentimes when you see these fancy places, it's all for the looks and the taste does not live up to expectations - but I am telling you the taste is there too. Does it live up to the price? I don't think so but hey, you'll get great photos and it's tasty so might as well try it once right? For reference - I got a customize your own with peanut butter and brownie ice cream, cookie butter drizzle, peanut butter iced jar with crushed oreos and a brownie on top. (The only thing I wouldn't get again is the Brownie - too decadent for an already decadent milkshake and there was nothing really special about the brownie since it wasn't hot or anything. I would try the Waffle next year - looked super legit at the other tables. Or maybe if you get those pies/brownies, just take it off and save it as dessert for the next meal). I appreciate that they have a washing station where you can rinse out your mason jar and take it home as a souvenir. Recommendation to the owner: make the Customize Your Own Shake Menu laminated and give customers dry erase markers so they can check off their choices while in line. It'll make your line move so much quicker and give the customers something to do in line! :)

No bananas at 2pm, my milk shake looked great still with a brownie instead on a banana split. My milkshake was icecream with a drop of milk. The place looks great on paper, unfortunately management is not doing a good job with quality control. Cashier had really unfriendly uninviting vibe to her, server didn't need to shout our number and we didn't have to shout "over here" so that we can get our incomplete overpriced order. Vibrating fobs are a much better option. Or even a dmv style screen with the order numbers on display for pick up.

So, I have no words to describe how flavorful, artistic, and perfect these milkshakes are. They are literally works of art!!! If you don't think you can eat it all they do offer half sizes!! But where is the fun in that???!!! They also have a few dairy free options!! Which is fantastic as my mother in law can't dairy. They were super accommodating, exceptionally helpful, and answered all questions about flavors and customization with a smile. So take your family down to the Yard. But don't be surprised if they fight over whose flavor is better.

Came on what was an incredibly busy holiday Monday for them apparently and couldn’t have enjoyed everything more! The specialty shake and sundae were both beautiful AND delicious. I've been wanting to go to The Yard for MONTHS. It's a hike from our house and because of the novelty of the place, a bit pricey. I've been following The Yard on IG also, drooling over all the photos and have been pregaming the menu for just as long. When my family and I finally got to visit, I was so excited! I feel like I need to break my review up into 2 parts. 1. The Goods - 5 stars I got the Midnight Train to GA shake and it was SO good. The salted caramel ice cream was not lost to the rest of the dessert and was actually salty, not just sweet as is the norm. Very decadent and I'm obsessed with the jar it came in. (It's now the only glass I use for homemade iced coffee) Because of the shake alone, I'd love to go back and wouldn't mind making the hour drive. 2. The Flow - 2 stars I don't understand - at all - why the customers are forced to wait outside until a table opens inside. Especially because we were not given the option to order to go when being informed that we'd be let inside shortly. Only once I waited 15 minutes and then got inside to order, was I given the option for there or to go. That only frustrated me more. The employee was super courteous and helped the process, but once we got inside, there were at least 15 seats available. My family of 3 were sat at a table big enough for eight or so. So much so that I asked for the family that was waiting behind us to just sit with us so they could come inside out of the heat. The only thing I can figure is that the team can't keep up with the demand that allowing people inside would create (I believe this is the case also because there were 3 picnic tables completely empty outside that people could have been sitting at). In my opinion, this is bad business. There was a hiring sign posted, but there were quite a few workers behind the counter. Especially with the heat, no fans set up or any shady areas. The product this place offers is a gem. The logistics are frustrating.

Ice cream was good, although most expensive I've ever had but I did get the glass jar. My problem with the place is the parking. We spend almost as much for the milkshake as the parking. I can't imagine being back spending $10 for the parking, tipping the valet and then the milkshake as well. My wife didn't get anything due to our budget so we had to share. Her milkshake money was spent on parking. I guess they are making bank near the campus so it's worth it, but I'll go somewhere I can park for free. Also the chairs inside are god awful uncomfortable. It's that cheap aluminum. A sugar shop in one of the fattest countries and they put in chairs made for the skinniest of people. I don't get it. Would it be to much to ask for some padded chairs for these prices?

But flavor wise, you can get the same thing at McDonald’s or Steak and Shake. If you’re wanting a milkshake for The Gram, this is definitely the place to go. At first I thought it was pricey, but there was so much fun, my glass mason jar was over flowing with goodies inside and out. I'm glad I tried this place, but the ice cream is honestly bland 😔. It doesn't have any real flavor depth. I went as part of a celebration after paying off my student loans. 🎊🎉🥳 I'd been following them on Insta for a while, and they were at the Dessert Wars event earlier in the year but I'd missed out on trying them because the line was so long and they'd packed up when I tried to go back. We arrived around 9PM on a Friday night. The staff did a good job of greeting us and explaining how ordering works, and asked us to wait outside for our order since we were togo. Anyway, we ordered the Donut 🍩 Touch My Coffee ☕ and Cream, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and the Peanut Butter 🥜 Oreo Overload half pints. The whipped topping tasted a little oily. The cheesecake on one of the shakes was pretty much frozen, making it hard to actually eat with the ice cream. The donut seemed like it was refrigerated too. I understand they serve things cold to prevent it from melting your ice cream, or to prevent the ice cream from making the topping soggy, but that method reduces the enjoyment of the topping. 🤦🏾‍♀️ If you go, see if they'll 🔥 heat up 🔥 your cheesecake, donut, cookie or whatever for 7-10 seconds to at least get it room temp. I did appreciate the portion options. And we really enjoyed strolling to Centennial Park to eat our pints. So it's a cute date idea. But I'd recommend Jeni's if you're looking for some really GOOD ice cream. Also, don't sleep on a milkshake from Cookout 🤷🏾‍♀️.

The business seemed really pandemic conscious and required masks where applicable, kept spacing and crowd management, was continually cleaning while still being able to provide excellent customer service! Of course the milkshakes were super impressive! we had 4 different types and not a one was even Slightly disappointing. (caramel cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, cookie dough delicious and mermaid birthday cake). definitely will be going back and recommending to anyone looking for a tasty treat!

Super cute place! I got the salted caramel cheesecake milkshake that had a whole slice of cheesecake on top! The menu has a nice variety of sweets outside of their milkshake menu at different price points so those on a budget can treat themselves without having to commit to a $15 milkshake. Definitely worth the experience and the staff was super friendly despite being swamped during their first week. Wish there were more parking options but in the area it's no uncommon to have to pay for parking

The ice-cream was good however if you don't finish your ice-cream they won't give you a cup or lid to take your remaining ice-cream to go. Apparently you have to order to go and not sit down to get a lid. This is the silliest concept I've ever heard of. Update: While I understand product being on short supply, a suggestion would be to supply a lid for the souvenir cups. Most mason jars come with cups. Especially if we pay $15 for the cup it just makes sense to provide a lid

I did not know what to expect, nor the origin of the business. After attending this location, I can honestly say the milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard. The variety of milkshakes were enough to send anyone with a sweet tooth into a indulgent coma. I felt like a child in Willy Wonka's Factory. The staff was uber friendly like articulate umpa lumpas. They gave me a thorough explanation of my final choices and delivered on the customer service. When I sat down with my shake I felt like I was skiing on the slopes of a desert alps. The mountainous shake was too much for me to conquer, but I wanted to sit in solitude with my mount Kilimanjaro. I left the yard feeling great in my guilty pleasure and a staff that supported me. Money well spent. Would not hesitate to do it again.

My ice cream cone with two flavors, pistachio and mint chip, were very creamy. However, the pricing for one of their unicorn small concoctions was more than I expected to pay for ice cream and some sugar toppings. While the quality of the ice cream is better than usual, so are the prices. Because this location is close to downtown, the aquarium and the Coca-Cola experience, they do charge the tourists higher than normal prices.

Some I’m stuck here with soap all over my hands and no way to get it off and an employee about right refusing to help me get the soap off. Finally he agreed to get me a clean wash rag. If I had a few suggestions: 1. Customers park far away so you can walk it off! Lol, but also the parking in that area is scarce to do so for free. 2. For the yard: Hire hot guys to serve so the single girls feel better. Lol! 😂 3. Provide forks and lids for those who wish to take it to go. 4. Create a ‘split second’ shake for those who wish to buy one and share, example: same shake, split in half and served in smaller jars. We waited an HOUR outside with no umbrellas or fans. The milkshakes were just ok, the vegan milkshake was a let down. It had no taste. This is also the most expensive ice cream I’ve had after including parking. They won’t give you lids for your jar so you can take it home, you only get those if you buy to-go shakes. Worth it for the fact that you can say you did it and have a photo, but it’s upsetting that you can’t even get a top to take it home. Also, someone got so overheated that they fainted. If anything, please just put umbrellas outside for people!
