The name itself had me at hello cause I've enjoyed playing mortal kombat in the arcade, My go to guy in the game!! If ever sub zero was craving something cold and refreshingly sweet I'm sure he'd go here! Sweet tooth cravings are easily satisfied in this place. Feel free to try one of their signature flavors or build one of your own diabetic cravings which are freezes up literally using a nitrogen process. That's the fun part watching your liquid sweet concoction turn into ice cream delight! You've been warned. We are not responsible for cavities or huge amounts of sugar intake.

We split a Cookie Monster after dinner and it was the bomb. Friendly staff and nice little place to get out of the heat. It was also fun to watch them making everyone's desserts. Definitely going back!

This concept is definitely a memorable experience. There is no ice cream premade and waiting for you in bins - it gets made in front of you right after you order it. All the flavoring ingredients, eggs, cream and such get mixed in a bowl and then is cooled in a flash with nitrogen. Whole process only takes a few minutes. I noticed the ice cream is not as smooth and creamy as traditionally made ice cream, but I didn't think it's enough of a detractor and still enjoyed it a lot. I haven't seen or even heard of this idea anywhere else in the world yet.

So we went to this place on our third night in atlanta and I really liked it. I got one of the desert storm milkshakes(the chocolate one with the chocolate donut on top of it) and it was really good. The milkshake was really good and I do admit that I reminded me a bit of the frozen hot chocolate from serendipity. Overall I do recommend this place to someone looking for a place to get ice cream or any other dessert.

Great spot, a bit of entertainment value for how they make the ice cream in front of you, and nice staff, but the vegan ice cream is a total flop. My 4yr-old said it was disgusting; I thought she was being a brat, but after I tried it, we tossed it in the first bin we saw. Vegan ice cream is trending and there are several options that rival dairy in flavor and texture, so we expected better. Better luck next time.

Went there on a whim while on a mini vacation. Staff was incredibly friendly and personable, not to mention knowledgeable! They give you a little science lesson with your sweet treats, and the ice cream itself is super fresh and delicious. Try them out!

I visited this place for the first time I tried the Strawbizzle and I got my daughter something as well. I didn’t like the mixture. I thought it was going to be a full strawberry 🍓 experience because of the name and picture but I ended up with sprinkles and marshmallows mixed in. I couldn’t enjoy the ice cream cause I had to keep spitting out sprinkles and picking out marshmallows. My daughter was happy tho. If I did ever visit this place again I would have to get something without all that extra stuff. I’m a ice cream lover definitely!!!!! I just didn’t like that mixture!!!

Sub Zero wasn’t our original destination. To avoid a long wait elsewhere I had my son check for ice cream shops nearby. We were not disappointed at all! Staff was very patient and helped wife and I decide on “sensation”. She had the Chocolate Conduction, I had the Peanut Butter Bonds, and our son created his own (Root Beer w/ Cheesecake). A little pricey, but all were very delicious! We’ll definitely visit this location again.

Love this place, always go here when ever I visit downtown. They have a lot of healthy ice cream options too. I like freshly made ice creams, soo refreshing and tasty. There are a lot of clubs and dinning places around this area and I like to walk here after my dinners.

It was a cool experience to watch them freeze it right in front of you, but I think it's more of a fad experience than amazing ice cream place. However, to be fair, i don't particularly like ice cream, I ordered the Italian ice with strawberry and raspberry mix-ins (.75 per). However, my boyfriend ordered the number 3 which is an ice cream with more chocolate mix-ins. He said it was good, but the cinnamon was over powering. We both felt like it tasted better as it melted. They have s plethora of toppings/mix-ins though so that's a plus.

A true customizable experience! You get to choose your own cream base (out of a few options, I chose custard), your flavor, (I chose mango), and you can add as many add-ins you want at .75 each (I chose mango bits and raspberries). You get to watch the fun and magic before you, and it is super fun! 10/10 will revisit when I'm back in Atlanta!

12/10 MAGNIFICENT!!! This place was Amazing, the showmanship of the freezing process is highly entertaining and the ice cream produced is the HIGHEST quality I've eaten. Imagine multiple scoops of Blue Bunny ice cream made with any additional flavor, and it's impossible to be eating freezer burned ice cream because they make it right in front of you. Love it!

Stopped by this ice cream shop on one of my ATL adventures. The ice cream is very good. It is a little overpriced though, but it’s downtown Atlanta in the tourist district. What they do is, they put milk, flavored syrup & extras(chocolate chip, sprinkles,nuts, cookie etc) in a steal bowl & hit it with nitrogen! Then the chop & whip it in the mist of steam the nitrogen generates. It’s like a ninja smoke bomb in ice cream!! Made fresh right there on the spot. I paid 8$ for 3 scoops which I think was a medium. If you are near Olympic Park in the tourist section of Atlanta & craving ice cream hit up Sub Zero.

I went here a couple years ago and the experience was really enjoyable! The shop is cool, perfect location! It can get busy, so the line I had was pretty long. The actual nitrogen freezing and making of the ice cream was super sick and very fun to watch. That part was the highlight. Other than that, the ice cream itself tasted fine, and the prices were a bit high for the portions, though it's understandable due to the whole liquid nitrogen used to make it

Fantastic ice cream. Get the basic strawberry cream and have them add some strawberry chunks. Very cool space and neat to see the nitrogen mist. My first experience and it was just great. The ambiance was good. Nice spaces inside and all the sounds of the ice cream being mixed.

Cool to see and not a normal way to serve ice cream. You are paying for the way your ice cream is made cold with the nitrogen. It is expensive because all the nitrogen they use. It's a once you've done it you've done it type of place.

Really cool, and the staff were so nice and knowledgeable. We went just before the closed and the staff came out from behind the counter to show some cool tricks with liquid nitrogen while we finished eating our ice cream. I thought that was awesome considering most other businesses would be annoyed that we came in right before they closed lol. I also have a nut allergy and they were very courteous and kind about changing out their scoops and cleaning the surfaces before making my ice cream.

There was a very long line; it took about 30 minutes to get our ice cream. However, they made the ice cream very quickly. The employees were very nice and worked past closing time to serve the people still in line.

Good ice cream and service but I think the servings were small for the cost. I've been to other nitrogen ice creams spots where you get a lot more for the same serving and almost the same price. I'll probably be back but it's not my first choice. There's a lot of customization and options (smoothies, milkshakes, Italian ice) which I wasn't expecting and is a redeeming quality.

This place is amazing. I got the number 12 with the berry and some extra citric acid to it and it was heavenly. I loved every minute of it. I know people might see this as a gimmick, let me tell you this is an amazing experience. When the nitrogen shoots out and it condenses the surrounding air and moisture, it's like watching alchemy before you very eyes. The staff here were amazing and so friendly and inviting. You simply have to come here.

I tried the banana cream for the first time and it was so good. To watch Sania fold the ingredients in a totally frozen bowl is a treat in itself. The process creates flavour like no other. It truly is an experience in ice cream. If you love ice cream like I do this is a trip worth every spoonful!!!

This was so cool, it tastes great, they have gummy bears. They go fast, the nitrogen fog was amazing... I would definitely say this is a must-go for anyone visiting or stopping on their way though. They can put mangoes and strawberries in it too. It was so amazing and didn't melt too super fast! Definitely should be THE IT PLACE for people of all ages to hang out in.

No better or worse than ice cream most anywhere else. I ordered the banana shake, thinking a place like this would just use bananas like . . . Cook-Out or Sonic. What I got was a bright yellow shake with plenty of banana flavoring. I admire the staff’s ability to whack on those stainless steel bowls all day. Looks more aggravating than making espresso all day. A little confusing to figure out what to get. Not cheap. Otherwise pleasant.

Ice cream is good, fun to watch them make it. Lots of choices but all the flavors are concocted with squirt flavors. However what I had was tasty. The only reason for 3 stars is due to the value. A small cup is $5 and that is two very tiny scoops. If you want to add mixings, like Oreos, brownies etc. They cost $.75 each. So if not careful it adds up quickly. Much bigger servings at more reasonable prices at Bruster's or Baskin Robbins to be honest.

This place has become a family tradition every time we go downtown. My kids love watching the liquid nitrogen evaporate into thick smoke, and it’s a fun experience for guests visiting from out of town. It is conveniently located near all the Atlanta downtown attractions (the GA Aquarium, the Center for Civil and Human Rights, Centennial Park, Atlanta Skyview). The staff and especially the management are so friendly. They really know how to make their customers feel special and welcome. As for the ice cream, it is made with all fresh ingredients right in front of you with so many options to choose from. And for people like me, there are nondairy/vegan as well as lactose free options, and even sugar free! We will definitely keep coming back.

A fun new take on icecream!! This is the 1st ice cream shop I've walked in where I am really involved. The staff are fantastic and it is really fun to watch your icecream come alive. If you have kids you need to take them here as they will be "wowed" through the whole process.

I was in Atlanta for the Momocon Convention and I also stayed at the Embassy Suites a few blocks away. I happened upon this place on accident and I had to get some!! My first treat was Tiger's Blood and Cake Batter with Mixed Berries for mixins. REALLY LOVED IT!!! I went again a couple of days later and tried the Peanut Butter and Jelly flavor with a cone. STILL REALLY LOVED IT!!! Best ice creams I ever had so far to date and would definitely go again next time I'm in Atlanta!

Icecreams are really different here. First, you can actually see how they make them, it is an experience. Second the technique give icecreams a different texture and consistency. Flavors are very varied and at least 4 of them very well achieved.

Totally loved Sub Zero icecream. It was like heaven for me, someone that is Lactose intolerant. There are not just one or two options, the whole menu is available for a selection. After a very very hot day- must've been 90+° - playin/walkin in Piedmont Park we saw a lady eatin Ice Cream we asked and she said they got em from SubZero....walked in and there's all these great toppins- you gotta go n see fa yourselves😄😄- my grandson is lactose free, rest of us aren't and we all loved vanilla so we watched as our choices were made rite in front of our eyes- how cool is that- it's a bit pricey tho but the kids loved loved it and it's delicious plus the staff was cool n efficient
