Cute little ice cream shop! I got a small plain vanilla custard (2 scoops for $4.25) because I'm a purist, and the flavor was definitely delicious on its own! Very clean on the inside, and there was indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell pints of their custard to go as well as some pies!

I loved the custard!! I like that there’s not too many flavors. The custard was creamy, and if you get a kid’s cup you can get a topping for free. They also have packaged custard with a wider variety of flavors compared to the ones available in the store.

The custards are amazing.. this is the best among the one's I've tried.. had a Small Scoop Chocolote with customized toppings along with the must try Poffertjes... both were outstanding.. personally we like Custard more than ice creams since they seems much lighter.. its a cute little place had has both indoor and outdoor seating.. it was very busy all through the time we dined in.. place is very well maintained and has a great ambience.. would definitely try multiple times..

This place was adorable!! The worker was extremely friendly and their brownie sundae was divine. They make everything fresh daily. I knocked a star because they only had 3 flavors to choose from, vanilla, chocolate, and their flavor of the day. Aside from not having more options, I still thought it was fantastic.

So delicious! I got the Concrete ($5.95), which includes the custard flavor of your choice and one topping mixed in. It’s basically a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. It was sooo good. I got vanilla mixed with Oreo. The staff was so sweet. The inside was adorable, complete with string lights and bring walls. I’ll definitely be back!

I really loved the attent customer service. I told them it was my first time there and immediately the two employees there started to give me a run down of their options and offerings. The custard was good but i do like Freddy's better, and so did my daughter. My wife had butterscotch custard and she loved it. Great overall taste and experience.

A cute little place with amazing flavors. We stopped by in the evening, and certainly were plesantly suprised by the innovative take on custurd and decor. I will highly recommend any chocolate and coffee lover to explore this one.

All I can say is WOW! Flavor bomb!!! The place is also very clean and the staff/owner are awesome :) highly recommend for a sweet tooth craving. My only complaint was that I ate everything too quickly 🤣 …

Phenomenal quality! So creamy and rich. Ordered the flavor of the day- cookie dough which was delicious. Also tried three flavors from the case and was impressed with the quality (my favorite was honeycomb with red white and blue berry close second). The turtle cake is also a must! Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly

I LOVE this place! The staff is amazing, culinary geniuses! Everyday get treated to a new flavor experience! If you have never experienced frozen custard you are missing a treat. Some flavors offered by Southern Custard include Darth Vader, tiramisu, apple crisp, lavender rose, tres leches, and butter pecan to name a few.

Southern Custard is fantastic. I try to go regularly throughout the month, depending on their specialty flavor of the day. And if I find I'm unable to go, good chance they have pints available of previous day's flavors. The space is kept clean. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of topping options to pick from. They're also close enough to be convenient, but just far enough not to be dangerous to my waistline.

Absolutely love this place. I got the poffertjes with pistachio and vanilla custard and it was amazing. The custard was super creamy, the poffertjes were fluffy plus the service was impeccable. Definitely a must try location!

When we first got there we didn’t realize that this place only had vanilla and chocolate and the flavor of the day and that originally made us feel nervous since we’re used to the spectacle that is an ice cream shop with many different flavors. HOWEVER, the sample of the chocolate and the flavor of the day…..my goodness what a treat. The custard was incredibly creamy! We’ve already made plans to go back and try other flavors. Nutella cheesecake we’re waiting for you. We got a cup at first, yes I know amateurs right? We saw a family come in and get shakes so that’s def on the list to come back and try along with the waffle cones.

I got a pint of the peach frozen custard. I don't even remember how much it cost. I was waiting for a call in the parking lot before I pulled off. It was starting to melt so I tasted it. I sat there a ate the whole pint in less than 15min! Jeez! It was so good. Like after eating a savory meal or something heavily seasoned, it'd be a perfect palate refreshment. I tried to call to let them know how much I enjoyed it while I was still in the parking lot but kept getting forwarded to voicemail .. nonetheless, if u love custardy textures of the frozen variety, Southern Custard is DEFINITELY worth a try! ❤️

The portions are generous the the custard is good. Cute little spot to meet with friends and have some tasty custard. They only have 3 flavors but they make up for it with the 10+ toppings available including fresh fruits and M&Ms! There is free parking at the shopping center and this venue offers limited inside sitting and some outside sitting. This is a local fav for families!

The custard was delicious and they were nice enough to throw in a pup cup for my dog. I don't eat much ice cream, but I would go back here if I was in the area. They offer a short list of flavors with lots of toppings and mix-ins.

This is the best custard place I have been to in the state of Georgia. We came after they closed and they graciously let us purchase some pre-packed pints. We loved all of the flavors but the chocolate was the best. We will definitely be back in the future.

This is a really nice spot with very friendly and helpful staff. They have selected flavors in their fresh frozen custard which they prepare every day. There is a daily special flavor and there is a monthly calendar for that flavor. Their frozen custards are creamy and delicious. Plus, their custards are not too sweet. They don't have indoor seating, but do have some outdoor tables and chairs. Additionally, the staff wears masks and there is a scented hand sanitiser in the store for customers to use. There is plenty of free parking around. Highly recommended.

Easy 5 stars. The custard is wonderful and the employees are always so kind. We love sampling the new flavors they come out with (though Biscoff and Darth Vader are our favorites by far!) and even the normal vanilla and chocolate are so tasty. Our favorite place to get dessert!!

Found this place super randomly…and ironically (being a Harry Potter fan), I went on the day that they had “Butterbeer” as a flavor! So they’ve got different flavors every day and the two that I tried were delicious (butterbeer and praline pecan). Definitely want to go back for a fruit flavor but for this being my first time consciously trying custard, I was not disappointed!

Great experience! The staff is super friendly and introduced different flavors and gave us samples. This is my first time having frozen custard and it's amazing, so smooth and much better/creamier than ice cream! Very reasonably priced as well! Will definitely come back. Edit to add: I've been back several times now, all great experience!

I LOVED the Oreo custard I got from here! I was already a fan of frozen custard, but other custard places I’ve been to just sprinkled toppings on the top. I think blending the toppings into the custard makes it so much better! The location looked new and clean, and the service was awesome. For safety, they only allow people to eat at the outdoor tables, which I appreciated. Will definitely be back for more blended frozen custard!

Very good cold sweet treat. The menu is simple -- don't over complicate it :-) The flavors are chocolate or vanilla. They also offer a special flavor of the day. I really liked the chocolate with hot fudge syrup and chocolate sprinkles. They also offer floats that looked awesome. Several people in front of of chose these; I'll give them a try next time. Wow! This place is so awesome! Firstly, you can smell the fresh, delicious waffle cones before you even walk in. The front of the shop is a large garage door which they keep open on nice weather days and it's so easy to walk inside from the Georgia heat and get some Custard. The decor is modern wth a country twist and incredibly sleek. Make sure to check out the ceiling. Everyday the flavors are chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day. The custard has less air than traditional ice cream so it's super dense and creamy. So far the flavors of the day that I've tried such as Birthday Cake, Coffee, Strawberry, and Cookies and Cream have all been delicious! They also do things like Concretes and espresso concoctions. The service from Eric and Heather was the best and I'll definitely be going back.

Love the custard here! They have two main flavors-vanilla and chocolate. There’s also a daily featured flavor that they add as well and they’re so delicious! If you miss a certain flavor, you might be able to grab it in a pint in the days after it’s featured! It’s also worth mentioning that the people here are super nice and professional as well.

Quality and price are great. Feel like you get a quality ice cream and it's not over priced like many, claim to be great treat shops. Im going back, signed up for rewards and bring friends with me. Keep it up. Only thing i would recommend is have some prebuilt options to choose from.

The place is in a plaza, with plenty of parking. The decor of the place was nice. I ordered the smallest cup that was two scoops of vanilla, and added peanut butter drizzle and rainbow sprinkles. The total ended up being $6. I heard the guy who was making our ice cream said that I get toppings, which I thought were included in the price; however, he charged $1.75 for the two toppings. I enjoyed my custard and I thought the vanilla was different than others I tried. The peanut butter drizzle made it tasty, but it was way too expensive for only two scoops. Overall, I probably won't come back.

I revolve my schedule around their flavor-of-the-day calendar! Since they only have vanilla, chocolate, and the flavor of the day, it’s best if you plan to go when they have a flavor you like (you can also buy pints of other flavors but it’s not the same experience as fresh). Everything I’ve had there is delicious!! It’s pricy but it’s worth it. I love getting the affogato.

This place is great! I walked in with my husband, but planning to get anything. In addition to the standard flavors and the flavor of the day, they offer pints and had almond milk ice cream. Not exciting for most, but I’m lactose intolerant and can’t have ice cream most of the time. Ended up getting peach sorbet that was AMAZING. They had so many flavors on hand I will go back for. My husband got biscof and I tried a small bite. I would eat the whole pint if I could.

At first the limited selection of just a few flavors a day was disappointing. Now my family looks forward to the ever changing flavor of the day and appreciates the creativity Southern Custard has shown in coming up with new flavors like Georgia Clay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is limited seating outside but that hasn't been an issue in 2020. Update 2022: still love this place and happy to report they are still going strong post pandemic with more seating and an expanded menu. They make a mean espresso too!

I'm generally not a big fan of vanilla flavor but the vanilla frozen custard here is hands down the best of any frozen custard, gelato, ice cream, etc. that I've ever had IN MY LIFE!!! Try their Vanilla Sundae and you'll def get addicted. Wonder how they make it with such silky smooth texture in here.

Second visit tonight and had an excellent Chocolate Marshmallow milk shake. Location is very nice and service was very good. The shake was excellent. Very rich flavor and texture was smooth. I only wish they had more flavors. Tonight is was chocolate, vanilla and chocolate marshmallow. I'll definitely return.

Amazing custard and wonderful staff! The gang here is so friendly and it's such a fun little spot. Support a local business AND get great frozen custard? I'm in! Every day they make chocolate and vanilla and one daily special, all from scratch and in-house. There's a calendar of specials on their site and they keep the left overs as pints to sell later in the week. (For only $7.50!!!) I honestly can't recommend this place enough! They absolutely made my day when I was recovering from my wisdom tooth extraction :-)

I've been here a few times and alway have a great experience! You can tell the custard is made fresh, every flavor I've tried is delicious. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They usually have vanilla, chocolate, and a flavor of the day. There is also a variety of sundaes and cones you can choose from too. The decor is very nice, simple and welcoming, it's always clean too.

I literally cannot say enough about how incredible this place is! The rotating flavors are so incredible because we get to look ahead for the month and go in on the days that you want the special flavor. The staff is also beyond sweet and customer service is top notch. I don’t even think about going anywhere else when I’m craving a sweet treat and so glad we live close by!

Not big on getting ice cream from anywhere but a grocery store, but this custard is actually worth coming here for....very creamy and not too sweet (perfect for me)! You know it's going to be good when they only have 2 daily flavors (chocolate and vanilla) with one flavor of the day. This isn't the closest to us, but it's worth the drive. Definitely will be back!

The custard is really, really nice. Very smooth and creamy. The customer service is excellent and the selection of toppings is great. The standard flavors are vanilla and chocolate, with one new flavor each day. Check ahead of time for that option or be ok with one of the standards incase you don't like the special flavor of the day. We've only had the custard, and a shake which was excellent, but everything else looks great as well. The pies look amazing, just a little expensive for a family to enjoy but would be great for a small party, etc.

They only have vanilla, chocolate, and the flavor of the day right now, but all of the flavors are great. You can buy pints of the recent flavors of the day, and there are plenty of toppings if that's your thing. Definitely my pick for great frozen custard in the area.

Update: Chocolate covered banana and dark chocolate hazelnut made me so happy! THE VERY BEST FLAVORS OF ALL TIME OMG! Since we've been there for the first time, we've been coming back every week! The ice cream is the best, with hot fudge, yum! If you register your number you get 1 point for every dolar you spent, with 50 points you get $5 discount. We already had our first discount!

Nice spot for a great dessert with small menu but unique options. Flavor of the day is what I would recommend on your first visit. Get adventurous after that and go with the mini pancakes or try some espresso on top of your custard.

Just okay. I mean, the custard was good but they only have 3 flavors at any given time (chocolate, vanilla, daily special) and it is kind of expensive. Might be better if you like a lot of stuff mixed in as they do seem to have a good selection of toppings.

Got a peanut butter vanilla scoop after waiting in a sizeable line for a Tuesday. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. This place has the best custard near the ATL area hands down. They do the typical flavor rotation, where they have a special everyday and then vanilla and chocolate everyday. Do check their FB page for flavor of the day. As I was walking with my friend with the cone in my hand, a sweet couple walked up to us and asked me if this place was really *that* good-pointing at the line... Yes, It is *that* good.

Have tried this place several times...to be sure I was correct. The flavor of the day....has NO flavor, with the first bite you receive a little faint taste of the flavor...then it goes away and turns into plain custard. The only reason they receive 3 stars, the consistency is good...and the waffle cones are great. PLEASE give the flavor of the day....some FLAVOR. Could be great.

I am so happy to have this in Brookhaven! The custard is incredible - probably the best I've ever had. And I've had custard in St. Louis and Kansas City, where frozen custard is really popular. They keep it simple with flavors, but they serve it in so many different ways - floats, concretes, affogatos, shakes.. Just to name a few. Definitely check this place out.

This is a classic american ice cream shop with small Dutch fusion, decorated in old style hip seating, with outdoor tables area also. Dutch pofferjetes (Holand) style small pancakes made fresh and hot in front of us, with 2 amazing frozen scoops of creamy custard vanilla and chocolate, please ask the guys to add you Nutella over pancakes. Simply one of the best desert combinations you can get in Brookhaven area and overall Atlanta.
