Came to check it out because the owner moved to our neighborhood- it was worth the trip! My kids loved it! The ice cream was so creamy and really a delight! Love that it is a local owned business- service was great, too.

I almost forgot to take a pic so forgive this one half eaten waffle icecream I attached. When I arrive the drive thru had a long line however it appeared to be running smoothly and swiftly. I opt to walk up to the window especially since this was my first time and I had a lot of questions. They were helpful with explaining their popular flavors which she mention cheese cake. I choose butter pecan with oreo and pecans toppings in a waffle cone. My son order vanilla waffle cone with sprinkles. My order came out fast. The taste was ok and I would visits again but not often.

What you need to know: They don't take cash. They're open from 2-8pm. They are drive thru only. They are black owned. Also, I went on a Monday afternoon and was eating my double scoop of deliciousness on a waffle cone in about 3 minutes. Customer service was amazing, the cashiers smile was contagious. The next time I'm in Georgia I will absolutely make my way back.

Liked the ice cream, it was very tasty and good portions. Service was good. It was all drive-thru. I kinda missed the ambience of waiting in line and seeing what other people ordered, etc,etc,. To me, that's part of the fun of getting ice cream. But again, the ice cream itself was good. I would go again.

Pretty good ice cream. I got peach, a kids dirt cup, and a coffee milkshake. The uce cream cups were great, but the milkshake was sadly EXTREMELY underfilled. I noticed it was like half way when i got home and the person who it was for took about 3 gulps and it was almost gone. Id say 3½ over just three, but id say stay away from the milkshakes

We tried out Double Scoop because I kept seeing them on my Facebook not sure how I started following, but glad I did. The ice cream was great. I liked that they had a drive thru window. They also had some vegan options for those that like that. It was lots of flavors and toppings to choose from. We will be back!

It's rich it's thick but not too thick to consistency is awesome the flavors explode in your mouth I don't even like chocolate but I tasted my wife's brownie vanilla ice cream thing that she gets and it was delicious. Makes me want to rethink my taste buds. If I could go here every week I would but I don't think it would be healthy. I would give them six stars if possible

I took my cousin and her daughter with me a few weeks ago to get ice cream from here. We went through the drive through because we didn't want to have to get the kids out the car and the car seat. When we went to place the order we were told it would be an additional fee to place more than one order through the drive through. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I have never heard of having to pay an extra fee anywhere to place a 2nd order. Stop Nickle and diming customers. We were gonna leave but the kids really wanted ice cream. We instead had to go park and get out the car to place the exact same orders at the walk-up window. That was very inconvenient. My next complaint is that the size of the kids cup has gotten smaller. I am rating it a 3 because of the changes. They no longer have the loyalty program where they punch the card each visit. I have 2 cards that were 1 punch away from a free ice cream that I can't use. I used to love going here. I am not sure how I feel about this location anymore. Also at my last visit the customer service was not that great. The person that took our order was not quite nice. Please go back to how things used to be or you will start losing valued customers.

I come here almost everyday and I was not a happy customer today. I spent 30 dollars on Ice cream and I bought 3 large grape nut ice creams and 1 butter pecan ice cream and the grape nut Ice cream had frost burn and the color was completely off from what I am use too. I still recommend the establishment because this is my first time being disappointed and hopefully my last time but you can pretty much say 30 dollars is down the drain for me.

I really enjoyed my strawberry cheesecake milkshake but I couldn't get it through the straw at all . I had to remove the lid which caused me to get the milkshake on my shirt , shorts , and car seat . It was hot so it was melting pretty fast besides that . Definitely recommend this location.

I love supporting black businesses however I came in and asked the young lady with glasses about the price of my order and she responded in a demeaning manner as if I was wrong for asking. My thing is that's my money and I have a right to ask what I'm paying for. I wasn't being nasty to her and I deserve the same respect. Young folks need to understand money don't always look like jewelry, Benz, hair weaves and etc. You never know who you dealing with and kindness come go a long way.

Not bad but I’ve had better, from Publix. The ice cream was also icy/crunchy like how ice cream gets when it melts then re-freezes & isn’t smooth anymore. Definitely not worth the drive if you don’t live close by. I won’t be back. Also made my stomach hurt

Double Scoop has been a true pleasure to support! After receiving stellar service (cashier was kind and bubbly) at the drive-through, I decided to order my daughters birthday cake from them. The process was seamless and they were very responsive, from the easy form inquiry, to answering my questions, to adjusting to a last minute date change due to a family emergency. Then when we picked up the cake it was beautifully decorated and delicious! I would highly recommend this business to anyone.

Surprisingly, this was our first time here. We were not disappointed. The employees were all very nice and knowledgeable. Customer service was superb. The menu was a little confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it. There's something here for everyone, Italian ice, banana splits, virgin daiquiris, strawberry shortcake, various flavors of icecream, and the list goes on. They were all being health and safety conscious and aware. They are tech savvy as well, if you walk up, you can order and pay via self serve.... kudos, thumbs up, and keep up the great work! I normally post pictures, but it was too good, and I couldn't stop to take a pic. Maybe next time...

Double Scoop has been my primary choice for ice cream parlors pretty much since they’ve opened. I LOVE the flavor varieties and options for ice cream treats available. They have definitely become a lot busier since opening and I’m truly happy for them and don’t mind waiting in the lines. With that being said I have noticed lately a few instances where the consistency of the amount of ice cream in the scoops vary depending on whose serving. As a growing business you have to always remember the importance of quality over quantity. There’s ALWAYS room for improvement! I hope this business continues to thrive!

I was so excited to find a black owned ice cream shop so close to where we live that had vegan options! My son and I would split a banana split here every Saturday. I had their vegan-cookies and cream ice cream, and oh my, it’s really good! There is an up-charge on the vegan ice cream, but that’s anywhere you go when eating healthier alternatives. Despite being super busy, she took her time with our large party and never made us feel rushed. I made a post on my local neighborhood app looking for vegan options on the area and the restaurant posted a reply and listed their vegan options. First, great job with your social media presence and response. Secondly, I sent our daughter 30 min later to pick it up lol. I made her show me the receipt to prove it was vegan. I was in complete disbelief at how delicious majority of the flavors were. (However, it's relative of the taste of flavors). But I've been wanting some egg nog and most stores aren't carrying it anymore, but this egg nog ice cream had me feeling like I was really drinking egg nog. I mixed it with cinnamon and pecans tops. Made for the most flavorful combination I've had a while. I will most certainly be returning to double scoop ice cream shop. The biggest part of my experience was the customer service. It was such a positive and exciting experience. As a black a person you always want to support your people (especially black women), however sometimes the quality of the service is what lacks, but here nothing lacked except my ability to eat ice cream all night. It's hard to express how happy I am to have Double Scoop Ice Cream close to where I live ("I scream for ice cream"). There are a wonderful variety of flavors to choose from, vegan options, ice cream cakes, and now even hot dogs. In addition to selling ice cream, the sister owners also give back to the community in the form of a college scholarship by donating a portion of their sales and the sale of t-shirts. My favorite is the brownie sundae. You get a choice of brownies (chocolate, blond, or cheese cake (cream cheese?)) with your choice of ice cream, hot fudge, whip cream and a cherry. Oh, and the service is super friendly. Craving a frozen treat? Double Scoop Ice Cream will not disappoint!

This was my first time going and I will admit, I was excited to see that they had authentic Italian Ice. The smell coming out of the window was amazing, I asked what they were baking, and found out that it was the waffle cones. They actually make them onsite! I met one of the owners, Jenay, and she was very gracious! The customer service was absolutely excellent and the Italian Ice was great! I highly recommend them! They'll be seeing a lot of me, lol.

We went because they're Black owned & they were busy - even the drive thru. It's not Bruster's but in a good way. They didn't try to be like Bruster's and get it wrong, rather Double Scoop has their own way and I like it. The mint chocolate chip could have more chips... But the texture was thicker without being hard. The waffle cone was light and easy to crunch but not so light as to be fragile. The portions I think are just right.
