In need of replacing a 20 yr. old HVAC system we requested bids from several companies and were introduced to the Sobieski team through Costco's services offering. From start to finish they were professional and responsive- and combined with Costco's incentives with their membership and proprietary credit card rebates, along with a 15% of total purchase price Costco shop card- we realized a solid value. Sylinea at the office was informative and response through the scheduling and bid detail communications. The installers Kevin and Angel did an excellent job providing a clean installation which was minimally intrusive. We've done some significant remodel and repair work with multiple properties and have seen many shortcuts and careless installs done when we were not staying on top of every step. Not the case here. This job involved a relocation of the exterior condenser and the team completed the removal of the old and placement of the new very cleanly.

The tech was outstanding. First I received a text letting me know he was ‘em route. Then he called me 40 minutes prior to arrival. This is extremely important to me as this not always done by most companies. I was provided with a detailed review of all the work that was performed. I was also provided with a whole home air purifier, we need as we have allergies. Overall, a great experience and very satisfied with the service provided.

The plumbing work had to be disconnected from the kitchen counter for kitchen counter repairs. This required a great deal of coordination between the trades. Sean was outstanding During this coordination. He was on time for the removal and the reinstallation. Sean was absolutely professional. He took great care protecting the areas around his work. And his work was impeccable. Great people make great contractors. I would definitely use and suggest Sobieski again based on this experience.

Shane M. was very professional and personable. We had the floor tile replaced in our laundry room and needed the hot water heater removed first thing in the morning and reinstalled the next day. Shane arrived on time both days and was considerate and careful while working in our home. He took the time to explain what he was doing and told us how long it would take to complete. The quality of service was excellent. I cannot comment on the value because the builder is handling the costs.

Nate, Angel, and Ky did a great installation They were neat and courteous and paid careful attention to detail. Sylinea worked with me to set up the installation and explained the details of the plan. Jennifer and Jessica made sure the paperwork and payments were accurate. The team worked through the evening to make sure that all systems (including the humidifier) were working properly before they left the job. I'm very happy with the install and so far the system is working as expected.

Not actually a plumbing repair but a diagnosis (which resulted in not needing a repair at all!). They (Josh and Reid) gave me realistic expectations up front and walked me through all their findings. DJ with Sobieski arrived on time for a service call for my hvac system. He called beforehand to let me know he was on the way which was appreciated because it allowed me to put my dog in his crate. It gets a little hectic when I have the door bell ring and my 90lb dog wants to greet visitors. DJ was able to identify the root cause of our hvac issues and made some adjustments and fine tuning with the inducer motor. He didn’t just make the adjustments though, he took the time to show me what he was doing and why. He did a quality check to make sure the changes took. I appreciated his willingness to go above and beyond the basic service call because he also saw that my humidifier water pressure could use an adjustment and explained that I was over saturating the filter. It’s refreshing to know there are still folks who care about providing excellent customer service. This is the second time DJ has been out to our home for a service call and both times he’s been professional, prepared, knowledgeable, and he takes pride in educating homeowners. I’d recommend him to anyone in need of assistance.

Shane was the technician. This is a new home so he spent a lot of time educating me on the tankless water heater. He also inspected the dehumidifier in the crawl space. He checked all the plumbing in the house and explained what he was adjusting and why. He was very personable and knew what he was doing. Shane is excellent! I am having flooring put in my house and Shane took out the toilet and vanity so that the flooring could be installed in my bathroom. He examined the plumbing/valves not only for the toilet and vanity, but also checked the plumbing/valves in my kitchen as well as the hot water heater! He explained AND showed me why the valves for the vanity need to be replaced (which he replaced). Shane was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend!

Chris was wonderful. He literally spent hours in my home making adjustments to both my AC and Heating systems, and explained in detail everything he was doing at every step of the way. He knows HVAC systems and how to fine tune them. Hopefully, everything will be more comfortable indoors in the future.

I am honestly not sure what to say. You apparently provided a report to our home warranty company but did not provide it to me. I still don't have it after two requests. I shouldn't have to ask. And my warranty company does not expose it through their web site. In my opinion, no matter how your company is employed or paid, I am the customer and should have first priority to having such documents. I shouldn't have to go through AHS to retrieve them. If I say I want them they should be provided immediately. For this reason I cannot rate your company more highly at this time. I cannot evaluate much about your work since I still haven't seen anything you have done. Sincerest regards!

However the charges were excessive for the part replaced comparatively especially as the professional time on the job was less than one hour. We are senior citizens just managing to get by.

First, DJ called to check in with me to inform me of his arrival time. He arrived in time as he stated. After introductions to my Wife and I, he inquired about what issues we were having with our system. After that brief exchange, he was on his way to the service part of our basement. He asked if I wanted to stay as he worked. I did. While he was servicing our hvac unit, he walked me through each step of the process to educate me on the workings of our system. That was much appreciated. DJ thoroughly troubleshot our unit and resolved they issues we were having. He was quite meticulous in the execution of his tasks. My wife and I were quite pleased with his professionalism, knowledge, skill set and willingness to be empathetic to our concerns. I would rate the scheduling team at Sobieski 1.5 stars because I had to call them 4 times after I originally called them to remind them that no one called me back to set an appointment. However, the service that DJ provided onsite at our home was 5 stars. The management team at Sobieski’s need to be proud and glad to have a technician like DJ on their roster!

Originally was having issues with heat. First tech came but only addressed the symptoms. Got another tech to come out within a week. Don came and wanted to understand the core issues, he didn't just treat symptoms but dug deeper and found the problem that was causing all the other issues. Shane Matthews was our service tech. He performed complete removal of 3 toilets for installation of new flooring. He returned the following day to reinstall the toilets (including 2 new ones). Being that the house is 20 yrs old, the need for new shutoff valves and water supply lines became apparent and they were done with no problems. We were made aware that the main shutoff valve under the house also needed replacing. That work was completef too. It was a lot of work and it was done in the most professional manner possible. 11/20 Update: maybe I was little bit too quick on the feedback, the problem still exist, actually it is getting worst for me. One of the main problems is the noise that created by the service which is killing me right now. and I have to wait more than 2 weeks for a unsure fix. Many nails are drilled into the furnace pipes, not sure if that’s going to create a long term problem or not. Pending to see what’s going on next Excellent service, they know what they do and do it very well!

DJ is a super nice person. He came to check my hvac exhaust pipe having popping up noise. He showed great professionalism and care for my home up on arrival. He patiently review the video I recorded. While we test running the unit he patiently explaining the possible cause. Probably because on the night before, I sprayed foam in the gap between the pipe and the stud it sit on, the noise was not reproduced during his visit. But DJ still stays for a while to ensure the noise does not come back. I would highly recommend DJ!

My experience with Sobieski Inc. has been good overall but I wanted to write this review to specifically praise their employee Mike Judd. He was kind, courteous, and extremely thorough. Within minutes he was able to find several problems with the HVAC system that had not been identified by previous technicians when we were dealing with the same problems. He rapidly repaired all the issues and took extra time to check improved heat flow in every vent in every room of the house, including the basement, ground floor, second floor, and attic. He answered all questions thoroughly no matter how trivial they seemed and he was particularly kind. Furthermore he identified additional services (UV systems) that were beneficial for our house and quickly installed them at a reasonable price. At no point did I feel like I was being upsold; instead it seemed very clear that Mr. Judd was only looking out for our best interest. I have lived in 7 properties in three different states where I had several interactions with different HVAC technicians, and I have NEVER received service this excellent. As mentioned previously, along with being very good at his job, Mike was particularly kind and thorough. In my view, he deserves praise, a raise, and a promotion, and quite frankly should be the gold standard for HVAC techs. 5 stars, 10/10, would recommend Mike Judd again.

DJ did a great job identifying the issues with the initial installation. Certain setting were not completed so my hybrid system was not kicking over to gas heat when it got really cold. He made the proper configuration changes and made the extra effort to make suggestions to tweak those settings in the future. He also identified that the outdoor thermostate was placed in a location where the sun was hitting it and giving data that was way off. He said that can also affect the performance of the unit. He changed the location. This was great but now I am oddly having an issue with the thermostate. This was not his doing. He did a great job and communicated very well.

Andrew spent an amazing amount of time explaining our Nest system and checking to be sure everything was working properly. It was a pleasure dealing with him. He also took the time to check out an issue with a leaking garbage disposal and advised us what to tell the plumber. Josh was here to check a leak under our kitchen sink and when finished with that asked if we had any other issues. He then took care of improving water pressure in our shower and checked and tightened drain. It was a pleasure working with both Andrew and Josh. They certainly gained our trust. DJ came out for AC maintenance check today. He was very thorough and informative. He told us about the infrared system to prevent mold and mildew and installed it. Definitely want DJ to come back for our Fall maintenance check. DJ was back for our 6 month maintenance check. Thorough and helpful as always .

Also, Zack came by to review the heat pump and found all operating in proper range. Zack also reviewed the Nest Thermostat settings and made necessary corrections since the original install settings were wrong. Zack corrected settings regarding the heat pump as forced air including electric as the auxiliary heat. The prior settings were set to an alternate heat source of gas and set to never run. Very glad Zack realized that for 2 heating seasons our house was running only by the heat pump compressor with no auxiliary back up.

Technician reported issue was with breaker in main breaker box turned out that the issue was with disconnect box near HVAC system. An electrician was called and determined the disconnect box had burned due to overheating of an aluminum wire. The entire disconnect box was replaced . Electrician found sparking in the disconnect box which could have caused a major fire. Fortunately our electrician was quick to react to this situation and eliminated further problems. .

I want to be fair about my review on this so I will give the pros and cons as I experienced them. Pros: 1. They installed many of the fixtures and plumbing in my new construction home and only one of them had an issue. 2. They are responsive as it relates to their Google reviews customer service. Cons: 1. They are not 24 hours. They have a messaging service that takes message during off hours. 2. Their warranty service time window was pretty bad for me. It was upwards of seven days for a sewer smell in the bathroom. (Ended up being a bad wax seal.) I can safely give it three stars for average service. It wasn't bad or good but rather just 'meh' overall and I wouldn't likely choose them personally in the future. However, others have had great experiences with them. I'm simply giving you my view of them from my experience.

I realize a heatwave caused many systems to fail, but you advertise 24 hrs emergency service. Now, as they noted the system is barely doing anything. Could there have been a major coolant loss in a day or two? The following week, it was found that the refrigerant caps had not been replaced. The remedies proposed are expensive and uncertain short of replacement.

I really like Lauren and Don. They are really nice and understanding. I don’t like your company and your relationship with Ryan Builders. I have been having issues with my thermostat for 2 years, Don comes and fixed it, it has been fixed numerous times but your company and Ryan are just putting bandaids on this issue. So your company comes and works on the thermostat and today I had to pay $90 for Don to adjust my vents . I fixed them once myself, I had Ryan Builders come and fix the little piece so it would be easier for me to move and he didn’t put the vent back to where I had it and Don fixed them today. If I wasn’t disabled and I could climb up myself I would not had to pay $90. Ryan should take responsibility and I think your company should of just taken care of it. How many times have I had to deal with this situation? I think your company and Ryan Builders have some kind of questionable relationship that is not on the up and up. I won’t use your company for my yearly service for my heater and air conditioner. Your employees are nice but I am definitely not impressed by your rules and your company.

We had a warranty repair to be done on our gas furnace. The mfgr (Goodman) sent us the parts in December but then gave us no help getting it fixed. After three months we called Sobieski, as they did the original install. We contacted them in the morning and they had a couple technicians out that same day. The guys showed up right on time. They were clean, courteous, and respectful of our home. We were told exactly what was being done and the work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. We have a home built with Ryan Homes & the upstairs is 15 to 20 degrees hotter than downstairs, so the HVAC was being inspected today. Emmanuel was a very nice service technician and checked everything that he could, but it was a cool day (75 degrees with low or no humidity) today. He was not able to feel how hot it gets upstairs. I have also read that I should be able to keep my AC thermostat on 78 degrees. I have to put it down to 72 degrees and I have all the vents upstairs open and the downstairs vents all closed and it is still hot upstairs (like we were instructed to do). We were also instructed (by Ryan Homes) before Emmanuel came over to adjust the damper which we do not have. I would give Emmanuel 5 stars, but the company installing an inefficient HVAC unit 3 stars.

The technician that performs the actual service has been top-notch which is the only reason I did not select 1-star. Unfortunately the "customer service" is sub-par. It takes multiple attempts to even schedule routine preventative maintenance service (and I had a service contract) and then I have to wait several months for the appointment. This has happened on the last two maintenances. The most recent experience was that after waiting until the end of May for A/C maintenance (I started trying to get the appointment in January and only reached a human in March), the day before the appointment I was cancelled due to "no A/C emergency overflow"...it was 70 deg that day. When I called to reschedule, I was put out for another month, so I cancelled my service contract. The customer rep seemed unfazed and did not even try to talk me out of it. Oh...and I had to reach out again the following week to receive confirmation of the contract cancellation, since that promise went unfulfilled as well.

We called Sobieski because we noticed a leak in our water conditioning system, which was in the house when we bought it. We’d called Delaware Plumbing Professionals to have them look at it, but they told us AFTER they arrived they couldn’t service a system they didn’t install… and then charged a dispatch fee anyway. Josh from Sobieski couldn’t fix the problem, because the fitting that had gone bad was a special part we’d have to get directly from the manufacturer and Sobieski doesn’t install that system, BUT, he thoroughly explained to process to replace that part so I could do it myself, identified the manufacturer and part I needed and step-by-step broke down what to look for when installing the replacement and quoted me for a new system if that repair didn’t work out. While Josh couldn’t fix the problem, he did his best to leave me with a solution, which was greatly appreciated

Great experience, both behind the scenes from the customer service side (Lauren B), and from the service technician (Tyler B) who did the work onsite. I was frustrated during 2020 and 2021 that Sobieski was so swamped with the pandemic issues that no one could do a maintenance visit during those two years, but they seem to be in better shape now. Tyler was very friendly and helpful, and made some useful suggestions.

Tyler did a great job of diagnosing the problem. He didn’t have the missing part, but told me exactly what needed to be done to alleviate the problem and even did a temporary fix so that we wouldn’t be left in a stifling house until the builder could send an electrician. I’m grateful for his friendly and professional service. Give Tyler a raise!

I didn’t have any issues with the work done and the technician was professional. However, I was very annoyed I had to call multiple times to get updates and get the installation of my thermostat scheduled. So as long as you are willing to call them multiple times to keep on top of them you’ll be fine.

We built a brand new house with Ryan Homes, and we could not feel any heat coming into our third floor. Ryan Homes set up an appointment with Sobieski, and DJ from Sobieski was the tech assigned to the issue. He was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through the entire HVAC system. He resolved the issue within 30 minutes and once again walked me through the system to help ensure I wouldn't have the same problem in the future. I cannot recommend Sobieski enough, and I want to commend DJ on an excellent job.

He ended up having to turn it over to his production team but he was more than willing to answer any questions and concerns that I had. Don came and immediately assessed that our pressure switch was faulty. He didn’t have one on his truck so he drove into West Chester and got one, came back and installed it.
