This was my first time using this company and to be honest, it won't be the last. My appointment was booked easily, I received a call prior to the service date and then received a call that the technician was on his way. Eric V was on time (a few minutes early actually) and went through with me what he thinks the issue is. The repair was done quickly and efficiently. Once it was complete, Eric asked me a few times if I had any further questions, which I did not. He was friendly, professional and really seemed to enjoy his job. I will absolutely be going through One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning for all of my needs!! Thanks so much!!

I am very happy with this company. I had a repair over 2 years ago. They were very fast and affordable. During my visit, I was offered an affordable maintenance plan that I pay for monthly. They come out once a year to check the status of my heater at no cost. Josh came out, and worked very fast and found the problem. He also provided tips and tricks to maintain a healthy and working heating system. I highly recommend this company.

We purchased a new house and were unsure of the condition of our units. We asked one hour heating and air-conditioning to come out and have a look and see if there were any issues. Ultimately he was unable to get everything up and running due to the refrigerant (I believe) but worked very hard trying. I found Ramon to be very professional, knowledgeable, and informative in educating me about the history and service maintenance required for my heater. Ramon arrived as scheduled. He has a very pleasant personality. My heater is 14 years old and is still, “knock-on wood” operating well, and I give all credit due to Calvert Heating, now One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning. Calvert Heating installed my heater 14 years ago and One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning has done an amazing job in providing the annual maintenance service needed. New boilers/heaters and home protection coverage plans are quite costly, so to get a another good report card that all is going well with my old heater, was good news to hear today, but I did get an “F” on the condition of my filter, which I never change only because it is challenging to install within the tight small area where the filter is to fit, but I have committed to do better and hopefully receive an A on my next report card. Part of the system is located in an extremely difficult to access spot (a tight attic) and yet they managed to get the job done when another company could not. We've been so happy with Calvert One Hour! They installed both our heater and AC units, and we have their maintenance plans for ongoing inspection and maintenance. I can't say enough about the company. Everyone we've worked with has been very friendly and helpful, and the technicians are always professional and kind. We've even switched to One Hour for maintenance of the heat/AC for my rental property, which was installed by another company. The service from One Hour has been exemplary, and I want to thank Josh, who came out in the rain to help us at our rental to prepare it for sale. He was kind and courteous. From the time that I called and wondered why I couldn’t just get more refrigerant ( someone then explained that I shouldn’t be losing refrigerant every year and they needed to check for a leak). CJ was personable and very knowledgeable. I live in a 3 story home that he climbed back and forth not to mention my AC is on the roof!! So he got a ladder and was up there fixing the unit. When I woke this morning my house was cold. I looked at my thermostat and there weren't any numbers on the screen. I looked at my house thermometer and saw that it was 59 degrees inside the house. I called One Hour and they responded as quickly as they could. Joe P arrived, assessed the problem explained what needed to be done and fixed the problem in no time. Because I am a club member most of the problem was covered under my contract. Just on part was not and that was minor considering what it could have cost me. My son gifted me a whole house humidifier for Christmas, and did the installation himself. But when you tinker with old things, sometimes you discover problems that you didn't know were waiting to surprise you. Suddenly I had no heat and the weatherman was calling for snow! Rich G.came over a couple of hours after I contacted the office and he made quick work of identifying the problem with my 23 year-old Trane gas heater. He even had the necessary parts with him. In no time he had the heat back on and verified that the humidifier was correctly installed and working. The customer service staff were friendly, I received a phone call and a text informing me that Rich was on the way. It also included a picture of Rich and little information about him. I'm a very satisfied customer! I would definitely call One Hour Heating and Air again.

Lets start with professionalism, he came in respectfully to my house and asked what was the problem and started to work and check out what was the issue. He talked to me and my lady with straight up honesty and no BS (respectfully and professional, of course). We from NYC, so that right there made us comfortable enough to trust this guy. He talked to us with the technical terms but at the same time broke it down where we can understand what was being said. He told us what we need to fix and what can be done and our options. I didn't feel like he was short changing us or even over doing it. He was telling it how it is and what can actually be done. Could not recommend this company AND JOE anymore! This is a double review because I never hit enter 2 years ago, so my previous review was still sitting here This is my review from 2 years ago *Joe was amazing. I will be a loyal customer because of the great experience I had today. I have never had my AC stop working, house was 86 degrees, I am clueless with HVAC stuff and I was freaking out. The lady was so nice on the phone. Joe got to my house within a few hours. He wore boot covers in the house and was thorough in asking me what was going on and checking the system. He fixed the issue and thankfully I just needed a new part. He was SO knowledgable and in a situation where some would have said "you just need a new unit, this one is old" and pushed for that, he did not. He was honest, professional, friendly, took his time and did quality work and the price was fair. When the time comes when I do need new unit or anything HVAC related, I will be using this company and requesting Joe! Thank you, Joe! The house is at 71 degrees and I am so grateful! ** This is my review for TODAY** I said I would be a loyal customer because of Joe and I meant it! Once again, AC breaks and I am in a panic. I call them around 8:30am and within 1 minute someone answers the phone. I requested Joe again and they said they would not only fit me in TODAY, but also do everything they could to get Joe to come out. At 11:30am, Joe was here and by 12:45pm, I have AC again. He was once again awesome just like I described above for the first time. He really took the time to explain to me what he did and when I asked for his honest opinion, freely gave it to me. I felt he actually cared instead of being in a rush or just trying to sell me something. He made it clear he can never can predict the future, but did say our systems (we have 2 huge units) are extremely old and although hanging in there, may want to just start researching system replacement. This way we can be knowledgeable when the time comes or even possibly replace on our terms instead of one day when we are forced. We had a few other questions about how to best maintain and he answered all of them and just could not be any nicer! No complaints! Could not get to me the night of, but Hai was out before 9 on Sunday morning! Very easy to talk to. I discovered today that my heating was off and it turned out tone a problem with the boiler. Rich, from One Hour Heating, came today, within a short time after I placed the service call, and he spent a fair amount of time diagnosing the problem. He took his time to ensure that he was right as he said there were several things that could have caused the failure. He's have to return with the parts tomorrow (it was too late (after 6pm) to get them today (and yes, that's problematic since I won't have heat tonight), but that's not his fault. I expect the technician will return tomorrow (as promised) to complete the repair. The service was prompt, and the technician was knowledgeable and courteous. UPDATE: Technician returned promptly with the parts and I now have heat again!

I have a maintenance agreement with the company and they called to remind me of my free annual checkup, which I found very professional. The technician, Trevor, showed up right on time and was very personable. He wore booties to protect my floors and spent over an hour checking my furnaces. He even put in my filter for me! He checked the AC units and let me know a part was going bad. I felt no pressure to to fix it, but decided to do so. He had the part, installed it in no time and showed me the bad part and how he checked it. I have been very impressed with this company. The guys did a great job. They arrived on time, we're very friendly and respectful. The we're very purposed and efficient. They were done early and all is still cool. Buying a new air conditioner is expensive and no matter the model proper installation is essential. Being new to Delaware i was so nervous and afraid it wouldn't go well, I didn't pick the right company and/or they'd damage the installation area. I have my mom's rose bush right there and she passed. Meeting them immediately dispelled my concerns. The installation went great. They cleaned up and it's been cool ever since.! Thank you so much.

Given the age of the panel, he recommended getting a qualified electrician to check out the panel and update as necessary. The diagnosis was at no charge. Rich and his coworker came to examine the water leak and crack in the heat exchanger, which was earlier detected by the home inspector. I was there to see him open the heating system and inspect it. He correctly pointed out that the heat exchanger needed to be replaced. Unfortunately it was a major job but he tried to minimize the cost by utilizing the lifetime warranty on the unit. In the process he damaged the computer board. He quickly got not only the new replacement board but also a new igniter because the old one was not compatible with the new board. He did not charge for the parts. In the end I happened to have an almost brand new system. He was courteous, honest, trustful and very professional which were the kind of qualities uncommon in the business. I felt so fortunate that I chose One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning Company.

The tech was really very nice and informative and he tried to include me in the process as much as possible. However my problem did not end up getting resolved yet. I will update accordingly. 05/16/2020 Brian came back out first thing this morning and worked on fixing my issue once he had his part and was again very nice and very informative . very professional and was even nice to my kid when he came running around. Joe, the Technician was fine. Even suggested a leak sealant that had not been offered by prior vendors ($161). Leaving me sitting by a phone all day because they could not give an approximate time of arrival was NOT OK. If you did not call back when the technician called, they would cancel according to the receptionist. Very poor planning on company's part. Was advertised as FREE estimate. This is not true either. According to the receptionist, only applies to new installations. Get FREE estimate off the advertisements.

My entire experience with One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning was wonderful! I was so nervous about finding someone who wasn't going to rip me off. After scheduling another company to come out, I called One Hour for a comparative price. I was so impressed by the dispatcher's professionalism and courteous demeanor that I scheduled a visit with them and cancelled my other appointment. My appointment was from 12-4 p.m. I received a call from my technician Jim B. at 11:45 saying that he was on his way. I let him know I might be home around 12:15 and he was very polite and told me to take my time. He arrived within minutes of me arriving. Jim was incredibly professional, honest, and someone I felt I could really count on to give me an honest assessment of my AC system. He let me know what we were doing wrong and the parts that needed replacing. He gave me a very fair price and helped to explain everything to me in a way that made sense. I felt comfortable and didn't feel pressured by what he was telling me. He gave me very fair advice about my AC system, which is very old. I am overall so incredibly pleased with my experience and I will likely never use another company again.

The company was able to dispatch a technician in a very timely fashion to address our reported problem of a failed heating unit. The technican (Joe P.) arrived at our residence as scheduled. Upon his arrival, Joe P was very professional and was able to ask the right questions to determine possible causes of the problem. Demonstrating his technical proficiency, Joe examined the unit and determined additional testing was needed to identify the root cause of the problem. As this would take a few days, Joe P. then implemented a temporary solution to return the unit to operation so that we would have heat for the interim period.

What was comforting is that he was not aggressively trying to push their air treatment solutions. I think he wanted to make sure that I understood the systems. Some companies now don’t clean the device they just come in and look at it and what’s good is that? CJ cleaned the boiler and inspected it for Gas Leaks! I did not receive the best news about my old system, however I can say he wasn't trying to simply talk me into buying a new unit. Andre' is a professional and courteous Technician with a positive outlook. Andre' had installed the furnace and central air at the beginning of summer, but we wanted to decide if we wanted to use the older Humidifier or go with a new one. We Decided to get a new Humidifier. Andre' was on time and went right to work. He installed the Humidifier and the control unit. He also walked me thru the settings and changing the humidifier pad. also suggested removing the pad during summer (which I never thought about). All-in-all, It was a very positive experience.

I was totally impressed with the service I received from One Hour Heat & A/C. I needed the A/C duct work moved from the center of my ceilings so as to install ceiling fans. Chad came to assess my request and said there would be no problem getting this done. He then suggested an electrician to install the fans. One Hour coordinated the job with the electrician and everything was done in one day!! No need to have holes in my bedroom ceilings waiting for an electrician. Dina called the day before to confirm arrival time of the contractors. Every time I call One Hour, the office staff recognizes me and they are very attentive. Andre and Mike did the actual work. They were both very pleasant and worked quickly. At the end of the day you could not even tell they had been here. Clean up after a contractor has been working is very important to me. These guys did a fabulous job. This is the second time I have used One Hour for a project and I will certainly call on them again.

I did not have such a great experience yesterday but my complaint was escalated to the manager who promptly called me back and resolved my issue by having another tech come out today for 2nd opinion. I've dealt with this co. For 20 years and the tech that came today, Richie, was top notch, very friendly, informative, professional and explained everything step by step. So went from not being able to do anything until next week to Richie coming today and rescuing my AC unit! And saved me about $300 in the process. If the company employed all techs like him they would be able to open locations through tri state area and broader! I am just beyond words and excited and want to thank the manager that called me back yesterday as well as Richie!!! I will always recommend you guys going forward. The service tech came on Wednesday, showed me how bad the heater was and what it was blowing through my house. Alex came out the next day (Thursday) and gave me a bunch of different estimates tailored to what I needed, then Jason and Eric came out Friday morning and did an amazing job replacing my heater, duct work and running new intake and exhaust vents. However, they called back 5 minutes after making the initial appointment to say someone could come now if I wanted. It was very hot inside my home so I agreed. Rich arrived about 20 minutes later. We got struck by electric 220 current off the pole by Delmarva which destroyed many things in our house and started fires on various lights and plugs and appliances. Our furnace did not work. I called and they had Matt out there that day. He quickly found the burned out piece and replaced it. He checked over the heater to be sure it was safe and ran properly. Thank you for helping us. We use them for ac cleaning and heater maintenance too. Cant say enough of their safe way of letting you know who and when the service rep is coming - sending a picture. We just had them install a tankless water heater a few weeks ago. A few weeks later the heated stopped again. Matt came back out right away it was New Year’s Eve night. Such a nice guy. He found the issue and fixed it immediately. Our New Year’s Eve celebration was saved.

Very nice, thorough, explained everything he was going to do. He also made recommendations on other services we could go with (humidifier, duct cleaning) without being "pushy" about it. He explained other customers who had gone with such services and why and why it would make sense if we would too but, again, not in a pushy way - just a logical/realistic explanation. Great guy. This was a completely satisfactory experience. There was no wait on the phone. The woman who answered was pleasant and helpful. Its a July day in the 90s and my AC quit. She had a full schedule for today, so she put me on standby for today, and guaranteed for tomorrow. About an hour later, I got a call that Hai was on his way. He spotted the problem quickly, fixed it, checked my pressures and for any other issues. He was outta here in 30 minutes. The cost was $79, which I was told in advance was there minimum fee. Hai said he had 10 yrs with the company, experience that showed. He also explained exactly what happened and how I could address it if it recurred, but he thought the change he made would make that unlikely. All in all, Hai and One Hour did everything right.

He and I then discussed possible solutions for the future. I will definitely contact Calvert Comfort H&C when the time comes to replace my AC system. Called our usual HVAC company (orange trucks) and they couldn’t make it out for 2 days (which is a long time when you have no A/C in a heat wave), called around to other HVAC companies and One Hour heating and air was able to make it out the fastest and the people answering the phone were very nice and helpful. Trevor was super professionals! They arrived on time, thoroughly checked the entire heat pump system to be sure temp and pressure was correct and flushed the drain lines.. They checked to see that all registers were open and that vents and air returns were not blocked by furniture or bedding. They made suggestions for us to pass along to tenants to help them save on their electric bill and promote a healthier environment and maintain the system properly. They also gave specific steps to properly replace the air filter.

My tech today Matt was very polite and helpful in explaining what I need to know about my systems. I love these guys!!! So let me tell you my story. I'm a single woman living pay check to pay check. About 5yrs ago a couple of weeks before Christmas my heater broke. I live in a condo on the 3rd floor. My heater and air conditioner are up in the attic. I called several reputable company's for help. One came out, poked his head up in the attic and said I'll never get anyone to replace the heater. Another gave me a round about price of $10,000.00 he replied maybe higher. Well about one week before my heater broke I saw a One Hour truck in the parking lot and decided to call them. It was a Monday around 1:00 pm and a sls rep was here by 3:30. We got to the top of my steps and I told him the equipment was in the attic. He didn't even flinch. He said this was not the first attic in my community that he had to crawl around in. Then I told him I have no money to pay for this. I can't remember his name but, he replied I was not the first one to not have a spare 8/10 thousands of spare dollars available and not to worry everything will work out. He was so sweet and just made me feel I would be ok. He spent a good 20 minutes up there, drew a diagram, he recommended a heater and air conditioner for the size of my condo which was a little over $7000.00 for both. I was able to finance it interest free for 4 yrs. Two days later 2 techs came out to install the systems. I had a very sweet tech we started talking and he was showing me a pic of his beautiful daughter. I asked him if he will take care of my equipment as if it were his daughter's, he replied I'll go one better I'll install it as if were my own. Can I tell you my original system that was installed by a very wealthy local builder was one big cluster f and that's putting it mildly. These poor guys really had their work cut out for them. So off to work I go leaving 2 strange men in my home. It took these guys 11 hours!!! I came home, my bathroom was nice and tidy, not only did they install the equipment they even connected the duct work that was disconnected. So that's my story! I have one more thing to say to One Hour you know who these guys are that worked with me I hope you gave them a big increase in their pay and, they still work for your company. You guys are the bomb!!!!

He deduced the situation and also gave me recommendations of some things to consider doing, But No Hard Sale....I felt informed the whole way and always given options. One hour heating and air is awesome! My heater broke down during yesterday’s snow storm, called and they were there in less than 2 hours. Unfortunately there was no saving the unit I had but they scheduled me an appointment with Chad to get pricing a new furnace. Chad came out at 10:30 in the morning was very thorough with explaining everything to me and even got me an appointment for the following day to get everything installed. We have been living in our home for 10 years and over time we have had multiple big name companies come by and try to over sell us on products and services. In 2017 we had Calvert/One Hour come by to give us an estimate on a new system and they told us we didn’t need on just some duct work and routine maintenance. Ever since then we have had them come by and do maintenance and never once had they try and sell us a new system, rather they have offered to have someone come out and give us an estimate if we want and we could use the money’s spent on that maintain towards a new system. Each time we have declined, pushing to get one more season out of our equipment, and that is where the conversation was left. No pressure. Because of this we have continued to use One Hour and will have them replace our system when it is needed.

Dave and Barbara did an excellent job informing about the services offered at Calvert. Dave called me early Saturday morning and stopped by earlier then our appointment. When he arrived, he should an extensive know of heating and cooling units as well as the price for both. He was friendly professional and knowledgeable. Complicated Review Called to service my malfunctioned air condition, unfortunately got the appointment the next day as I was told they were backed up because of the heat wave. The service man who came the first day was unprofessional and lazy and he did not want to do the job he claimed the system is old and have to be totally replaced and he actually tried to claim that my motor and everything was malfunctioning & motor is frozen! So he can’t do anything. Temperature outside was almost 90 degrease for 5 days! But his claim is by tomorrow in one day it will be totally defrosted when the temperature that day was 70° The next day they sent another person Brian H and what a difference it is like night and day he was professional he was fast he was prompt he did the job and less than 20 minutes and everything the previous unprofessional guy said was wrong. These guys identified and corrected code violations and poor install practices that our previous contractors left behind. And they fixed them as part of the install…for FREE! They were extremely informative courteous throughout the install process. They went above and beyond and did a truly top-notch install. They were clean and protected our floors. They found additional issues with our system due to the poor install of our previous contractor and they corrected them FREE OF CHARGE. I believe that they did a to-the-book install that’ll ensure that our system is running as efficiently as possible. Jeff and Eric did a great job. They were at my home for two days installing a natural gas heater and air conditioning unit. They were neat clean and very professional. Even though the Delmarva Power rep was late because he had to attend to gas leaks, Jeff left me his personnel phone number and told me to call when the Delmarva Power rep came and installed the gas meter. We had a significant water leak in the basement ceiling. The first plumber we contacted said the adjacent air duct was in the way and had to be removed so the water pipe could be fixed. I called Calvert midday for the duct work and Hai arrived within less than an hour. He felt the water pipe could be repaired without touching the air duct, and he was very concerned about not cutting into the duct unless absolutely necessary. He offered to have their affiliate plumber Benjamin Franklin Plumbing take a look. Hai made all the calls and arranged for their plumber to come out same day. They arrived within the hour and got everything fixed. Hai did a great job looking out for us, and didn’t even charge us. It’s nice to find a company that isn’t trying to get your money no matter what, but rather doing the right thing.
