I just just want to thank Rich for his kindness and professionalism and making it possible for me to finance my new HVAC system. Rich explained everything I needed to know about my new system and made sure that it was financed at a affordable rate. I would also like to thank the (3J's) John, Jason and Jamir, they were all kind and professional. They removed my old HVAC unit and installed my new unit without leaving any trace of dust or packaging. They explained how the unit works in detail and they even installed a carbon monoxide detector in my home. The new programmable thermostat can be operated via my cellphone and they were very helpful in showing how to use the thermostat app., on my phone. The HVAC unit is running quietly and my home is already cooling down. Thank you Gold Star Team!

On Tuesday my AC unit stopped working and with this heat and health issues needed to be looked at ASAP. I called to have it repaired. They were able to send R.Smith right away. He was very knowledgeable and professional. The unit had to be replaced. He took all measurements and was able to get me a replacementat for a reasonable price. The best part was I could get what I needed and have it installed the next day! The installation crew arrived on time and were very pleasant,professional and answered any question I had before they left. It was a great experience from start to finish! I would highly recommend this company but...they cut wires and removed the power company's equipment without my knowledge. I'm pretty upset. Now I have to let the power company know and I'm sure I will get a nice bill.

We decided to use a new Heating/Air Condition company for our semi-annual maintenance. We hired Gold Star Services and was very pleased with their service. The service person's name was Ethan Page. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know. In fact, we have signed a contract with Gold Star Services and requested Ethan to be the only person to come when we need maintenance or service. The Gold Star installation crew, lead by Jason Hanby, Jiair and Josh, were great. They did an outstanding job. They really cared about treating our home as if it were their home. They used drop cloths were needed and utilized the easiest path, with the least amount of obstructions, to remove our old equipment and bring in the new equipment. They even made custom pieces for our system on the truck. Sealed all the seams with either silicone, tape or both. When an option that we requested to be added wouldn’t fit, they immediately notified their office, who sent a supervisor to explain why and how it would not fit due to the available space on our system. At the end of installation they even gave us a little training session on how to operate/program our nee thermostat, how and where to changed the filter, how to check the UV light, how to check the Wet switch located in the pan at the bottom if the furnace. Overall we had a great experience with this company and we WILL be recommending this company to anyone in their service area.

The work itself was great. The workers showed up on time. They were very professional and polite. They protected my carpet with tarp to prevent tracking dirt into my home. For the work they did I think was done pretty quickly as well. There are a couple of things preventing me from giving another 5 star as I did previously. My install was done on 12/21. When the workers left everything was great. My home was heating properly and I was very comfortable. By the weekend we experienced the coldest weekend thus far with temperatures in the teens. I am not sure how that affected my system but my heater constantly ran and wouldn't get to or keep the temperature that was set on my thermostat. I called the number on the website which states 24 hours service around 1pm and waited for a call back. After an hour I kept calling and didn't get an answer so I waited for my call back. It was close to 4pm when I finally got a call back. I explained what was going on only to be told that the soonest they could get someone to my home was Wednesday 12/28. Now I mentioned this was a "new install" and there's no way I should be experiencing these issues in less than one weeks time. I asked if they had some that could call me in the midst of my waiting to maybe troubleshoot the issue because maybe it was something minor that could easily be fixed over the phone. I was told that with it being the holiday weekend that it may be a delay but they would have Mike( can't remember the last name) give me a call ASAP. Needless to say I have still not received a call and it's Tuesday the day before my appointment. I would think with issues with a new install that it would be more immediate attention to an issue especially issues in less than one week. I have been manually controlling the heat to my home for the last 4 days to keep it comfortable without having the heater constantly running to increase my electric bill. I understand it was a holiday weekend but I would have expected that some time type of follow-up call would have occurred or at least they would have found a way to work in a visit by yesterday since the system is so new

I have an annual contract with Gold Star which I renew every year - they send out competent technicians twice a year to perform maintenance on my heater and A/C and make recommendations if any repairs are needed. Gold Services installed our HVAC in 2014. We neglected to have them do yearly maintenance and then we had an issue with our AC (summer 2022) and called to them to look at it. They were just fantastic. They came in, fixed the problem and noticed other things that were under warranty that they repaired/fixed. We then got smart and got the annual service contract. They came in to do a HVAC maintenance visit and recommended other repairs that were still under warranty that we should do. We were a bit surprised that all of this work was still covered under warranty. I am so impressed with Gold Services. So glad I chose them to install our HVAC.

Dennie and Shane are highly experienced, knowledgeable and patient. The crew that came to install a new furnace were excellent as well. Had a water issue in my basement over night. I called at 630 am for an emergency service since I have no heat. While cleaning up, they called back within an hour and let me know they would be there as soon as they could but my time window was 8-12. Rick got here about 1130 and he was great. He went right down to the unit and looked over everyhthing. He saw the wet switch was tripped and explained that the switch shuts everything down so more damage does not occur if water gets into the unit and sprays around. He checked over the whole unit, wiped up the tray of any remaining moisture, and reset the unit. Waited until the start up process was finished and said everything checks out and we were lucky that nothing was damaged.he was very professional and courteous.

Barry was the most professional and knowledgeable service technician that I have ever dealt involving the service requirements for my HVAC system. He was here for an extended period of time completing a thorough investigation and servicing of the entire unit, inside and out. He discovered a small gas leak at the fitting within the line and took the time to show me and what he did to correct it and make it safe again. Barry really shows his dedication and pride in doing the job right, and we truly appreciate all that he did to make us feel confident that our system is now operating at peak performance. I hope he will be available any time we need service and during our annual maintenance visits as we have signed up for the Gold Star service agreement. Barry and Gold Star came highly recommended by our neighbor, and I will also pass on the good word and recommendation for Gold Star. Keep up the good work, and keep Barry happy:)

Joe Broderick knew exactly what the problem was with my heater when I told and showed him the lights that were on with my new system. He explained it was a safety measure for the system due to the freezing temperatures and the water release hose. I was quite surprised since prior to his arrival the system had started to function again. We lost our HVAC this past Saturday. The outside unit had a problem with the fan. I contacted the company and was spoke with a friendly and very accommodating member of their staff. She was able to schedule a technician to come out the next day. Phil Hynson arrived as scheduled and was able to diagnose the problem, found a temporary solution while they order the necessary parts and was able to get air running back in our home. Gold Star installed our heating and AC system in 2016. So far we have not had any major issues. I do feel that the service seemed better before it was acquired by Morevent Heating and Cooling. This year they were not able to accommodate the oil heater cleaning and heat pump maintenance this past year due to lack of technicians and did refund some of my maintenance agreement since I had already paid for it. The recent service by Derek for the A/C maintenance was good. Hopefully Gold Star hires more experienced technicians so that scheduling maintenance and service can be accomplished more quickly and efficiently.

We had 2 prior appointments that Goldstar didn't show up for and wasted my day. I also to speak to managment on 3 separate occasions and no one ever called me back.. I did get a hold of Supervisor named Mike Phillips. Mike did an awesome job in Fixing my issues..I will ad we had a decent amount of missed apoointments, we were told a motor would be covered under the warranty including the labor than were being charged the labor. Mike fixed the issues.. The issues cost Gold Star some money but I will tell you I deal with many people in my rental business and my Restraunt Management Position I have. I WILL recommend gold star services and have recommended the services to numerous people. The young man Trevor did a fantastic job he also had another young man that he was training with him this kid Travor is a bright young man definitely management /supervisor material all day long... and your customer service representative manager supervisor Mike Phillips he was phenomenal from my understanding gold star didn't know of any of the issues we had in the past and recent with missing appointments and he fixed it. I have mixed reviews on this company, but i'll lead with the positive. It is clear that the company cares about their reputation and remedying a poor experience. Sadly this isn't as common in many industries as it should be. Having received a quote from Gold Star, I felt that i was being played for a fool, and expressed my concerns here. Shortly after, a manager called me and we spent a good portion of time discussing the interactions between me and Gold Star, with his sincere apologies and attempt to remedy the experience following. It was a good conversation and i'll possibly give them a second shot next time i'm in need of HVAC service.
I'll say this, as with all things, it is appropriate to shop around and make an informed decision. It is also important not to feel pressured into making a decision either. Get a quote, have it written down, and get a time frame to get back to them to accept it. If a company gives you and offer that relies on your immediate acceptance, that should tell you something. My initial quote from Gold Star was ~$1600, which I declined, and found a more appropriate quote of $350. Again, the manager appologized for the exaggerated amount, and was able to offer ~$720, which was still more than twice what I was able to source. But shop around, find the best offer and best time frame that works for you.
That said, the Gold Star technician who came was friendly, and courteous. The manager was understanding and owned the sales experience that followed. I've been led to believe that my experience is not customary, and he made amends for it by waiving the call out fee I was billed.

I don't believe in maintenance contracts because in my experience one does not get the service expected. Gold Star is the exception. They routinely spend an hour on a scheduled maintenance call checking all the components. I once had a heat failure on a cold winter Friday night. They immediately called back at 10 pm. We went through a reset process that did not work. I had space heaters to keep me warm overnight. They were here early on Saturday morning to make the necessary repairs and it was covered under the maintenance contract.

I called Gold Star on a Friday when our heating system apparently failed. Shane came to our home on Monday morning to see what the problem was. He explained the situation and invited me to see for myself so we went into the crawlspace so he could point things out. I decided to replace the entire HVAC system (ducts were sized properly but the system was not worth repairing). Shane informed me about parts availability (not something to assume these days) and that he could have a crew out the next day. Contract was written up and signed. Good to go at 7:30 the next day.
The crew was fantastic! Showed up on time, introduced themselves, and got to work. They clearly know their roles and work well as a team. They had time to answer any and all questions.
After the installation was complete, Justin, the lead tech set up the thermostat (WIFI-enabled) while explaining it all to me. I downloaded the app, created an account, linked it to the thermostat, and everything is working great. Which is good because, baby, it's cold outside!

A propane valve into the heater was replaced 2 weeks ago & shortly after that $832 “free” heating checkup visit ($59 A/C checkup in August ended up totaling $558) & get a “free” heating checkup in October. An alert came on the thermostat after the heating visit🤷♀️. We just assumed it never reset. Today, my husband just happened to go into the back room & asked me to check to see if I could smell propane & I agreed. Upon calling Goldstar, we were told to call the fire department which we did, they confirmed the smell at which time my husband turned off the propane coming into the house. We called Goldstar back & Shane returned the call more than 30 minutes later not to the callback number (My husband) but to me & I was not with my phone so I missed several calls. Shane was here I would guess over an hour repairing the replacement. My husband bought a service contract for $179 after the first visit which coincidentally is the exact amount of the “discounts” on the replacement parts on the AC visit. We were told that there would be a service charge today if the gas leak wasn’t directly related to the last repair which fortunately it was. It was highly recommended that we get surge protectors in the heater to avoid any electrical issues that had affected other customers at the A/C checkup. I really do not like being so cynical but I just don’t have much faith in companies which advertise. I thought maybe with all the new homes down here companies were reaching out but on the other hand, if they were really reliable, fair and honest, word of mouth would give them plenty of business??? I still don’t know.🥺

We had a very positive experience with this company. Our compressor had failed which was diagnosed by Jason. He was very professional and explained exactly to us what had happened and got right on with getting our parts order. Thank goodness this part was still under warranty. There was no ifs, ands, or buts. They honored the warranty as promised. The receptionist are very easily and friendly to deal with. They kept in contact with us throughout the process to get us on the schedule as soon as the new part could arrive and to keep us in the loop. Our compressor was replaced by Donovan who was also very professional and got us up and running quickly. We are very pleased and would highly recommended using them for you next service or installation.

In my experience, service levels have declined over past two years. I was not happy with service postponements and poor follow up. Today's technician Tyler was excellent: punctual, knowledgeable, courteous and thorough. I hope Gold Star can get back to the service excellence they had, when they were a smaller company. I will continue to recommend them because of my pre-pandemic experience with them. Today's experience was good.

This was my first experience using Gold Star and aside from some initial concerns regarding scheduling due to overwhelming demand, which I must say they handled very professionally, I appreciated the level of service.
I am one for being engaged with my service tech because I like to be completely aware of what is being done and my service tech was willing to answer every question that I had in connection to any aspect of the job he was preforming.
