There is the service side and the install side, I worked with the install teams this week. We had a 20-year-old spilt-system (2 units)., operating at a SEER of something like 10, we chose a SEER 18 for the replacements. They took three days to install everything and the pace picked up substantially with the crane that put the Condensers on the roof (replacing and removing the older units there). They have to shoehorn them into place on the roof but they did it. I performed most of the demo work, so the install went fast with little cleanup. They were very competitive with their prices and we found a good final quote. All that is left is to frame and drywall to button those ducts up and out of sight.

After a comparison of several companies, we found Jimmy Gusky's proposal the best and at the bottom range of prices. The sales rep was able to work with all five owners to replace the individual five units and answered the questions that each had. Jimmy and his team are great. They have always been responsive, professional and above all honest. I have an older system with the occasional issue and instead of pushing for me to replace the entire system, which is typically the case with many full service shops, they provide me the options to weigh the risks and costs on my own. I have had two instances where the heat or ac went down completely and they were able to respond same day ensuring the system was back up and running and even with the system completely down i never felt they were taking advantage financially. Always fair and honest and i will continue to use them to get everything out if my investment that i can. And when i do end up replacing the system i will use them because i know they will give me the best product for my money and stand behind their work!!

Last year I converted my oil furnace to natural gas and also want to move my furnace from the middle of my basement to an outside wall. I got multiple estimates from many companies. Jimmy Gusky beats most competitors on price and has a good reputation -- that's why we chose them to install our new HVAC last spring. We found the quality of their workmanship and their service to be lacking. They did some things during installation that we didn't want and didn't much like and then asked for more money to change them. (We decided to live with it.) But then the heat pump wasn't producing much heat this winter, causing the (more expensive) auxiliary heat to cycle on much more often than I expected. I called for the system to be serviced. It took three visits by two different teams of technicians before the best one, Johnny, discovered that the system had been installed without the wiring necessary to "reverse" the heat pump's flow from cooling to heating. He also found that there wasn't sufficient wiring to support our Nest thermostat, a problem he was able to correct quickly and easily (and that should have been discovered on installation). To the company's credit, they honored their warranty and corrected the heating problems at no cost to us.

I had received a couple of bids to replace my furnace and condenser -- one from the company that had been providing us HVAC service for many years -- but both seemed extraordinarily high and the proposed equipment was vaguely specified which made it hard to track down reviews and cost comparisons. I found Jimmy Gusky through further research on the internet and told them what I needed. They very promptly scheduled a visit to evaluate our situation. The tech spent about four times longer than either other bidder had, inspecting the existing equipment, counting vents and returns, measuring the house, and generally doing exactly what you would expect from an HVAC professional. He also answered my questions without hemming and hawing. We quickly received a very clearly written proposal with all equipment and labor precisely specified. Within a couple days of accepting their proposal, the crew was here to install our new furnace and get the house warmed up. (Did I mention we were without heat in the dead of winter?) They returned a few days later to finish installing the new AC condenser and the whole-house humidifier, but the brief hiatus was no problem to us since we were no longer freezing in our long johns. Besides being able to install the furnace a couple of weeks sooner than anyone else we had talked to, Jimmy Gusky's price was better than either other vendor. Further, their team was more professional and instilled far more confidence they would get the job done to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Jimmy Gusky for HVAC work. We intend to use their services to maintain our system for years to come.

Estimators had told me I needed a thousand-dollar HVAC replacement to fix a noisy malfunction, but luckily, Jimmy Gusky was the one who came, and he told me I needed to clean my filter. He knew I expected to have to replace the thing, and he could have done that and charged me for it, but instead, he showed me the free way out. The night before a very important dinner party I had a leak coming through the ceiling of my dining room. I called Maryland Plumbing services and spoke to the answering service. Probably 10 min later I got a call from ( I think) the owner of the company. He calmed me down, correctly diagnosed the issue on the phone and told me what to do to stop the leak from causing further damage. He then said a service tech would come fix the problem in the AM. At 7:30 am a tech and his assistant arrived. They found the leak inside my tub, fixed the pipe, and changed the valve. LEAK SOLVED !! But that's not the end of it .... The service techs were told by the owner of the company about my dinner party. These techs proceeded to cut out the wet drywall and then replace it. After they finished they informed me that a painter will be out before 3 pm to paint the new drywall. At 2:30 the painter arrived and by 3 pm you would never know I had a leak. People ...This is a locally owned Biz where the owner really pours his heart and soul into pleasing his customers.
