Everyone continues to be so helpful ensuring that my new system is squared away. Erin initiated a call to schedule a part replacement and Troy was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure it’s done right. Update: New heat pump installed and process went so smoothly! Everyone who helped was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Taylor does an awesome job helping me out on the phone. Tyler worked with us to get what we needed, the installation coordinator was great and Steven, Ian and Anthony worked their tails off all day long in intense heat to get the job done and even tidied up so nicely. I’m a happy customer - thanks a bunch! Jake was great - punctual, friendly, thorough and knowledgeable! Thanks so much!

After using a contractor that had no idea what he was doing we realized there was a leak in the crawlspace underneath the kitchen. John Edmonds and his team came out and thoroughly inspected the plumbing job. They told me what I already knew about the work being insufficient but John and his team definitely made me feel better about it being able to be fixed. They were both extremely professional and very friendly and easy to talk to although the news was as bad as it was for delivery made it somehow feel better that I will knew it would be fixed properly!

Just a note: I have NOT had my unit serviced yet. I only had diagnostic done. The response time was excellent as well as communication. They called then followed up with text. Cassidy was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done and services offered. I did buy a protection plan. We'll see how that goes but so far VERY pleased.

This is my first time using Norfolk Air’s services, and I will definitely be a life-long customer. I reached out to them after my child flushed a toilet paper HOLDER (the actual plastic holder!!) down the drain. Not only was I scheduled for the very next day, but I was actually able to receive service on the same day! Kweyvon and John were right on time, they listened to my issue, gave me a couple of options, and proceeded to successfully get my toilet flushing again! They saved me from having to purchase a whole new toilet! I highly recommend Norfolk Air!

They did a complete Main Electrical Panel replacement and doing it right. The previous person who did it had many code violations. The night before Christmas Eve, just as the temps start dropping like a stone, our gas furnace started short cycling. Called Norfolk Air around 4 pm since we have a protection plan with them and was told someone would be out between 6-8 pm. Jake called less than an hour later and was here within 15 minutes. Jake not only fixed the problem, but was incredibly thorough in his inspection and diagnostics. He was prompt, polite, and incredibly professional despite it being so cold and after hours. Can’t thank Jake enough for how awesome he was.

Called several plumbing services on New Years morning to deal with a clogged sewer line that I had been trying to clear for a day. Norfolk Air's answering service sent the message to on call plumber, Chuck Malone, who called me back quickly and indicated that he would be finished with his current job in about an hour. He when he was finished with the first job he called again to get details that he needed to be sure he would bring the right drain rooter. He stayed in touch, arrived when expected and was friendly and courteous. He rooted out 100 feet drain to the street resolving the problem. The drain was inside the house and left the area cleaner than he found it, assisting in moving the washer dryer I had moved before he arrived back in place and hooking it back up. Not having had to pay for a drain rooting out in almost 40 years I don't know what the market price is, much less the Sunday holiday overtime. It was more than I expected, but I am glad for a job well done and the excellent service provided.

Norfolk Heating and Air repaired my HVAC system. The heat to my home had gone out. They sent a service technician out the same day, who quickly diagnosed the culprit, a bad blower motor. It was installed the next morning and now the heat is working great. Can't say enough good things about this company. Their repair technicians are a cut above the rest.

I initially gave Norfolk Air five out of five stars. 90% of my dealing with them warrant this rating. However over the last year and a half I have learned that my initial rating was pre-mature. I first started with them when looking to upgrade my HVAC system. They were one if a few companies I got quotes from and I liked their customer service. I got a comparable quote on the system I wanted and was told the quote included everything that need to be done to get my HVAC operating at maximum efficiency. Financing was fast and easy. The tear-out and reinstall of the new system got bumped up sooner than expected. The installers were quick, clean and professional. - hence my initial five star rating. NAH C&P also offers a nice semi-annual clean and inspect of your system. I opted to attain that to ensure my new system maintained optimal performance. This also cam with priority service and discounted service calls for any work they do. This came in very hand when I had an urgent plumbing matter. Very knowledgeable, professional and friendly techs and customer service. Because I had question on possibly financing that repair, that they couldn't answer at the time of the repair, they had the tech do the work and gave me time to discuss a payment plan that worked best for me a few days later. - Fantastic service. However, less than a year after having my new HVAC system installed, I was still having HVAC issues... because of the duct work that I was originally told was perfectly fine and did NOT need any work, or upgrading for optimal performance of my brand new heat pump and exchanger. After a SECOND look, less than 6 months after get a brand new HVAC, because of the 'poor condition' of my ductwork, they recommended replacing ALL the ductwork, because the repair would cost almost as much as all new ductwork. Because I was lied to from the start by the estimator who told me my ducts were fine, and only sold me a new HVAC, I cannot stand by my initial five star rating. I certainly would have preferred to finance the entire project and had all the necessary work done at one time, rather than having to re-visit an issue I was assured was completely resolved with a beautiful new heat pump and heat exchanger. My recommendation: inspect every aspect of what you expect and ask questions about EVERYTHING you're unsure of. Every GOOD technician, sales person or customer service rep WANTS to make sure you understand and are pleased with their company and service they are providing. Good on all the techs that have been dispatched to my property. Wonderful customer service when I call for scheduling or any questions regarding service. - Greatly disappointed the sales rep didn't actually inspect the ductwork before telling me it was fine.

I called them at 8am, the lady was so nice on the phone and totally understood everything I was saying, and Wes was at my house before 8:30, he immediately looked at the issue and explained everything to me, gave me a quote, which was way way less than I though and changed my disconnect box in less than 30 mins, and now I have hot water again… THANKS SO MUCH!!! John Edmonds and crew coordinated with my company to disconnect and remove a gas hot water heater for a customer, we were contracted to remove rotted subfloor and replace joist, new double layer of subfloor, and vinyl tile. John then came back and reinstalled gas hot water heater properly. His work was neat and professional. It’s often difficult to coordinate 2 contractors but John made it smooth.

Technician told us to buy the part and they would install. He was vague on the part and we got the wrong part. He told us after talking to his office that an email was sent 2 hours prior to our appointment effective immediately they don't install parts bought by the customer. So the $240 job would cost us $500. Not cool... And what a coincidence 🤨

Jacob Harbour was very courteous, prompt and thorough adjusting my filter vent bracket and checking my HVAC system. Nice to see there are still polite customer service oriented people in the world! We contacted this company over a month ago through a referral from my sister. The representative was on time for the first visit and very cordial. We paid for the service call at that time but learned that the piece we needed had to be ordered, we paid that day for the service call of $ 90.00 and an additional $ 75.00 for them to order the piece needed. We were told that our warranty for that piece had expired but my husband called the maker of the air conditioner to learn that the piece we paid them to order was in fact still under warranty. How did they did not know this, when the representative claimed he contacted the manager "Brandon" while at my home and Brandon " confirmed" that the piece was not under warranty. Two days later another representative shows up and says that the piece ordered was defective and it would take another three to four weeks for the piece to be located and delivered. Today, 8-23-22, we were informed that there is no Idea when the piece would be in stock and available for delivery, however, they did have a piece that they could install (after market) for over $1000.00 dollars. We are seniors and have had to endure hotel cost and over 80 degree temperatures in my home. My question is... how is it that no manufacturer in the U.S. has this piece? Are they waiting for the warranty to expire, or are they taking advantage of seniors? Our faith in honest reputable company's continues to dim and it it such a shame that we have to now contact another company, pay for an additional service call, not alone continue to deal with the upcoming heat, summer is not over. Not only have I posted this review to the company's site, I will post this review over every media and news site that I can. 1 star for the company 8-22-22 Jake Harbour came on time and ready to work. Did a great job and deserving of the five stars for his positive attitude and work ethics. And only Jake deserves the five stars

I don't write reviews too often, but In this instance I feel I have to give a shout out to an employee named Cassidy Brooks (Cass). He was able to locate an issue with my A/C that was causing the refrigerant pipes to freeze up, despite multiple technicians called for the same problem. The entire time he was very professional, gave honest feedback when I asked questions, and worked diligently through the heat. I never felt like I was being forced into unessecary purchases. I've had hits and misses with my A/C for years, and most of the time it's just the equipment being difficult, not a lack of professionalism with the company - Cass was able to be that extra push above professionalism to isolate the issue. THANK YOU!!!

Thursday, 8.11.22, approx 1030am : I was surprised to find a leak in our sing in our main bathroom which had flooded the cabinets. I proceeded to work to loosen pipes to determine root cause. Unable to do that, I called Norfolk Air and they made a commitment of service visit between 2p-6p that day. I decided to go ahead and run errands before that. As I was still out. I received a call from John Edmunds/Norfolk Air that he was en route. I explained commitmentbwas for 2p-6p and I was out but make my way home asap. John assured no problem and office text me it was fine, they advised John to wait for my arrival. I arrived a few minutes after 2pm, my son had already let John in and he had already corrected the problem. Apparently, the faucet aereator was the issue, leaking back into handles, when water on. John showed me all, tightened pipes I had previously loosened.. John also made time to check our other bath faucet as well. New homeowner this location , so appreciate John/Norfolk Air being user friendly, reliable as they are. John was great! Nice guy, knowledgeable, courteous. Appreciate all!! previous testimony several weeks ago that I posted on Google re their a/c repair service : I called Norfolk Air on Saturday, approximately noon, because we had lost our a/c. Surprisingly, they made service calls on Saturday and Sunday. So, they committed to a 4hour window that same afternoon. I received a text from Matt, the assigned Tech, a short time later confirming his visit. Matt showed up early and went to work diagnosing the problem in a few minutes (capacitor went bad). Matt then quoted the charges for the repair (beyond our service contract). Matt replaced the part and we were up and running a few minutes later. Matt was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. All in all, we reported a problem to Norfolk Air around noon and the Tech visited and fixed the problem asap, total time from reporting to repair - about 2 1/2 hours! -- on a Saturday!!!,.. (who does that?? -- Norfolk Air!).. Great service!.. Highly recommended!..

So, at around 11pm, Saturday night, one of my upstairs toilets started having a 'will not flush or respond to the plunger' issue. Fortunately, the company I've used for HVAC also has emergency after hours plumbing services. They were at my door in less than an hour. My technician, Marvin Wilson, worked on things for awhile to diagnose the problem but didn't have the machine on his truck at that time. He left my house after 1am but returned a bit after 2pm on Sunday. He worked for hours on my clogged system until everything was right with my upstairs toilets, tubs and sinks. He was very professional, thorough couldn't have been more pleasant while he was here. I highly recommend Norfolk Air, Heat and Plumbing and my technician, Marvin Wilson, for your household repair needs. I have used this company for years for my HVAC system but first time for plumbing.

Quality service for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. I continue to renew my annual service contract with them for more than 10 years now. Somewhat large company that can typically be available and respond to emergency situations and easily schedule planned visits. But relatively expensive. I don't like that they only do lump sum billing without breaking out the costs. I've come to accept this. Sometimes they need to come back for a follow-up to address something forgotten or done incorrectly - and they want to charge for it, so sometimes there is some haggling. I've had terrible experiences with other companies. You can trust that this company knows what they're doing and they're bonded appropriately and you know you're not going to have warranty problems.

Recently got stationed in Norfolk and bought a house. Didn’t have any issues with my HVAC or AC etc but wanted to do a check up on the system. Alex was my tech and he was awesome. Being in the Navy I like to understand how stuff work and he explained everything to me. Luckily my system was taken care of, filters changed etc. It’s nice to have a company that is reliable and can give you peace of mind you won’t be left hot in the summer or cold in the winter. 100 percent recommend them. But morale of the story is clean your house, change your filters and you shouldn’t have an issue. :) hope everyone has a great weekend.

I had an emergency situation with an old water heater that died and was leaking. I tired to drain it without success to minimize the water damage. Norfolk Air, Heating, Cooling was the only company that responded right away, listened to my story, and tried to help me as quickly as possible. Erin worked hard to answer my questions and coordinate the logistics of having my water heater I purchased at Home Depot picked up... She was great. Within a couple of hours, I had a technician arrive. Devin did a great job. He and there tech were polite, and they were professional. I was very satisfied with their service. They are a more expensive company to use, so I am glad their service matched.

Today electrician Wes with the assistance of Jose have not only corrected the weather damaged unsafe condition, but updated ( brought up to code) my meter placement and replaced the circuit breaker box. 7/14/2022 update: Matt’s diagnostic skills were excellent and my system was up in a jiffy.

Had to replace a toilet and Henry and Travis were sent out within three hours of my request for service. Henry and Travis did an excellent job of removing the old toilet and installing the new one. They cleaned up nicely and were friendly. The lady who took my call also was friendly. This is an excellent company I use for plumbing, electrical, gas, heating and air conditioning. UPDATE: I noted a small leak from the tank of the new toilet and emailed Norfolk Air. Henry and Travis responded in less than two hours (on a Saturday!) and tightened the fittings. Can't ask for better service. CONTINUED: I had a leak for a different toilet. At my request on a weekend, Travis called within two hours and came by the same day to repair the leak. Again- excellent service! Added 10/14/19: A new technician performed our regular, twice-a-year service. Emanuel was a pleasant, knowledgeable young man. Besides checking the heating system for the winter, Emanuel cleaned our humidifier, Great job, as usual! Update on 11/11/19: Doing some renovation and had to redirect a gas valve. Henry came out as scheduled and did the job. Very pleasant and professional experience as usual. THIS IS ONE WELL-RUN COMPANY! Update: 9/18/20- Had biannual inspection by Cassidy. Fine young man. Everything is working well- both heating and cooling. This is good insurance to have these inspections. Update August 27th 2022. Jake came out to repair our air conditioner that stopped working. One of the drains had locked up. Very happy with his coming out within an hour and his friendliness and good advice. New service Nov.2022 with clogged sink. I have a older GEOTHERMAL unit within my home that was not heating. I had a previous diagnosis from a separate HVAC company, that stated a faulty water pump that cost over ($1800) to repair. I called Norfolk Air to get a second opinion. The technician (Matt) arrived on time, and was able to quickly diagnose the problem (low coolant) as well as check the water pump which was in excellent condition. He added more coolant/refrigerant and performed a separate wellness check for my two units. The cost is considerably less than what I was mis-quoted from the prior service. In addition, Matt gave me mindful recommendations on Geothermal maintenance that could help me save me money down the road. I will definitely use this company again.

Thank you Norfolk Air! I had what I thought was a simple plumbing repair but not the tools, or the knowledge to address it myself. My issue was not urgent, but needed addressing. Making an appointment was a breeze thanks to the friendly staff. I was able to get an appointment that worked around my work schedule the following day (at my request). When the technicians arrived, they quickly assessed the issue and made short work of the repair. They were friendly and punctual and kind. They were clean and did not leave a mess behind. In fact, aside from my issue being resolved, you wouldn't know they were even there. This is not my first experience with Norfolk Air and with my aging home, I doubt it will be my last. They have always done quality work for a reasonable price. I will not hesitate to call them in the future.

Will never use again. Had gas leak which they charged 100$ for svc call... Fine. Then estimate another 400+$ for a valve replacement which was only a 30$ part. Repair didn't fix it. They came out three times total and still couldn't resolve the leak. Could never get them to send me an invoice for price break down of what actual charges were. Third time out they just gave up and said i need a plumber... Um.. Your company does plumbing so why tell me to call someone else? I've now spent 500$ had multiple visits by different people from the company with no success. and now im off looking for another company... ... ... Update::: Upon seeing the review above, the management called me to rectify the situation. They sent out another tech and supervisor to solve the leak(s). They stayed much longer this time and were far more talkative/drescriptive as to what was going on. The issue has stayed resolved for a couple weeks now. The owner also called to follow up after seeing this review. Hopefully the business in the future does the same level of work that the third tech and supervisor did.

I had a 120v electrical outlet and a natural gas line installed for a gas stove installation. The two employees that came to the house were professional, respectful, and did a good job. The reduced stars are due to the scheduling, rescheduling, and then showing up 4 hours after the rescheduled show up window. After multiple calls expressing concerns, since we are a dual working couple, work schedules had to be shifted, changed, and ultimately several meetings were missed. It was extremely inconvenient. The supervisor was apologetic, for the multi-time shifts and also apologized for not communicating the changes. Although appreciative, this was a situation that was absolutely deserving of a convenience discount to compensate for lost wages, work scheduling, and overall inconvenience. Other than that, things were as expected.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Norfolk Air is absolutely amazing and has gained a customer for life. As a first-time homeowner, I was clueless about the maintenance that needed to be performed on my home. Cassidy performed my HVAC maintenance on both outdoor units and communicated with me throughout the entire process. He went over his recommendations in terms that I could understand, and he took safety precautions by wearing a mask and shoe guards when he entered the interior. My outdoor units looked pristine when he finished. I was also having issues with my 8 year old tankless water heater not producing hot water due to an error code. Other local companies offered zero empathy for my situation, but Chuck reassured me that Norfolk Air could possibly repair my existing water heater. He referred me to another technician and assisted me in scheduling a follow-up appointment. Marvin, along with Darrion and Marcus, troubleshooted the unit to resolve a possible ignition issue. They informed me of their findings before making some of the necessary repairs, and the repairs were super affordable. Marvin also kept me informed regarding a backordered replacement part, which made me feel even more like a valued customer. When I decided to install a new water heater, he and Darrion carefully replaced the existing unit with the one that I purchased. They inspected the connections and performed testing to make sure that the hot water was working before they left. So thankful for this company’s excellent customer service, professional technicians, and quality work!

UPDATED: The owner called and expressed sincerest concern and apologies for our experience. He stated that it was not the normal experience that they want for their customers. We were assured the attitude received from one of the employees was far from normal for them. The other issues were discussed. I have adjusted my review from a one star to a three star review. While I greatly appreciate the outreach by the owner, because of our experience, I still cannot give a five star review. But overall, this company has redeemed much of what was lost through this situation. The conversation brought a little more peace of mind that the company we have used for 3.5 years was not as bad as our experience. Original review: My husband and I used Norfolk Air for over 3.5 years. Up until recently, they provided great service. They annually serviced our HVAC and cleaned our ducts. However, during this last annual inspection, they failed to noticed a leak that caused mold (we found it). Before we realized the mold or the leak, we had them come back within a week to also fix the lines in the crawl space. The technicians who came out failed to properly attach the lines back to the joists and left them sagging on the crawl space floor. This is when we also found the mold and leak that was coming from the air handler unit, which should have been found in the inspection. After calling the company to share our frustration and concerns, we were initially met with an immediate response to make it right. The crew came back out and fixed the sagging lines and fixed the leak of the air handler unit. During this process, one of the technicians made a hole in the dry wall with his arm. Norfolk Air is supposed to send a technician out tomorrow to fix the rather large hole made. Today, after speaking with the manager for the third time during these servicing, he changed his response and stated something along the lines of “we did you a favor by coming back and fixing the the drooping line and the leak”. But refused to take responsibility for the leak that was missed or the mold that was caused by it. Never have we been met with such poor customer service from a company that we’ve used, and definitely not from one we’ve used for several years. After today, we have terminated any future business with this company. While they once did excellent work and provided great customer service, they have become something far less. It’s disappointing and frustrating that a company would not teach quality work and owning mistakes when they are made. After over 3.5 years of service, we are done with them and cannot confidently recommend them to another person.

The story is so similar to mum first experience I'm shocked but he too was a technical master and was very professional in his diagnosis for repair. Before he was gone the heat worked agai. And all was well, additionally he called about 10 minutes after leaving asking if he could come back and just take another look to make sure everything was just right with my system. That is another example of unsurpassed professional behavior in a business where I have been burned by the other companies more times than I care to share. Please give them a shot so far I am 2/2 in perfect service calls and I even signed up for their annual maintenance program! ***Previous review June 2021*** Emanuel was promt and courteous. After scheduling an appointment for maintenance on our HVAC system and gas logs, we received confirmation of the upcoming appointment, a second confirmation the night before the appointment and another that morning giving us a two hour window of when they would arrive. THEN, we received notification that our tech was on the way, along with his name, contact number and a picture of who would be coming. Technician was masked, thorough, knowledgeable and professional. Justin came out on a Monday to give me an estimate on removing all of our radiators and prepping the boiler for removal. He was excellent and very detail oriented as every detail we discussed ended up on the estimate. I received the estimate that evening and was able to schedule a team to come out to do the work on Thursday of the same week I got the estimate. Matt was the lead tech on the project. He and Gordon did an incredible job. They arrived very close to the beginning of the window we were given and got straight to work. I was out of the house until about 12:30pm and was amazed with how quickly and cleanly they worked. When I got there, Matt gave me a rundown of what they had done and what was left without me asking. He walked me through what they had done, which was EXACTLY what the estimate said they would do verbatim. I didn’t really have any questions for him because he was very thorough and answered all of them in the rundown after they were finished. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They did exactly what they said they would in a timely and clean manner. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the job they did and they will now be my go to for any future projects. Great job guys!

This time I spoke with Erin and she is very good at her job. She actually listens to what your needs are and sets up the appointments. She is representative of others I have worked with and I thought it was time to recognize this side of the business. The technician, Markland came over and diagnosed the problem we are having with our heat. Again we were treated professionally and courteously. Unfortunately the underlying problem is that our furnace is about 20 years old and like an old car, maintenance is getting expensive enough to consider a new system.

I have used Norfolk Air Heating and cooling in the past, and they have provided excellent service. On 07 Jan 2018 I had a clogged sink, that I was not able to clear. I contacted them and set a schedule for Wednesday. The technician "Henry" arrived on time (actually early). He was able to clear the clog as well as provide me an estimate for future repairs. 2022 September I have again used Norfolk Air, Cassidy was awesome prompt and professional.

While they were out we had them look at a cooling issue we've been experiencing with the system. They identified all the items that caused the cooling issue to include a couple of issues with original installation of the system. Update 12/3/19 - Our heat stopped working this morning. We called and a technician was dispatched quickly. Nate, who has been to our home several times, arrived early. Nate has always been great! He diagnosed the problem quickly and he was able to fix it after acquiring the parts needed. We are now back to being warm all within the same day. What is truly excellent customer service, and was a welcome surprise, is the repair was covered and we certainly did not expect that. Truly grateful for the work that was done today and the above and beyond customer service!!!! Update - Both owners, Brian and Bobby, came to our home with Nate (technician) to determine if there was in fact a leak. They spent several hours here with us and determined there was not a leak. The compressor was replaced under warranty yesterday. Brian called yesterday evening to ask how things were working, and said they also want to replace another part to ensure we have long lasting comfort and also to give him peace of mind. That work will be done on Thursday. We definitely appreciate their time and commitment to follow up. We enjoyed talking with them as well. We will be happy to call on Norfolk Air when we need help in the future.

My heat pump compressor died and my entire system needs replaced. I had one quote and decided to give Norfolk Air a call for a second estimate. Receptionist was very polite and accommodating. She was able to schedule me an appointment for a "comfort specialist" to come take a look. Very easy experience on the phone. Taylor came a couple hours later. He looked at the old system and put in recommendations for a new system. He was very professional and courteous while in my house. I felt no pressure whatsoever to sign anything about installing new equipment. He explained the different options and was very straight forward with what he would do if he were in my shoes. He also went over financing options, if we decided to take that route. Again, no pressure. While I haven't signed with Norfolk Air, or ANY company at this moment, I am definitely not leaving them out. The whole experience thus far has been very good. They have competitive prices and provide a quality system name. I would recommend to give them a call and have someone check out whatever is wrong/what you want to do. If I do decide to go with them, I will update this post with a synopsis of how installation went.

It's been a little over a year since Norfolk air did a complete overhaul (2 story house with a crawl space) of our heat and air system using American Standard. Mr.Taylor Everett was 100% correct with the evaluation of our older system and put together a new plan for a superior HVAC that has proven to be above normal standards. Josh and Brandon's crew did an outstanding job of the tear out and re-work the new system into the correct position for the maximum performance of the new system. They installed the air scrubbers and they make a huge difference. (Outstanding product !!!) They are a great addition to the system. A/C was running non-stop but would not go below 80. Was told tech would be here between 2&4. Bill called before arriving at 1:30. He did a very thorough check and said I needed refrigerant - told me the price for me to ok before continuing the work.(this was after another company said I needed an entire new system.) Because it is going to take time for the temp in the house to catch up, he checked the temp that was flowing out of the vent to be sure it was cooling. Bill is very professional and an all around personable guy. He also recommended I check the Blue Ribbon Plan that Norfolk Air offers. The Technician isolated the problem quickly which was caused by another local electrical HVAC company. With nothing to do with the professionalism of the technician, I would recommend the company reevaluate their current business model. When the appointment was made I was told a “service charge” is required upfront but before any work is performed however, the company has a tiered analysis cost to investigate where the problem is. The piggy-back fee approach makes a homeowner on a budget uneasy.

I had two service appointments. One to get an estimate for potentially installing A 2nd AC system or, getting a bigger system as we were having to cool one floor at a time. ( We previously had another company come out and they stated that our system wasn’t big enough for the size of our home). We had a second service appointment as the AC had just started leaking water everywhere. Rick was our estimator who came out first. He was very kind, and knowledgeable. He looked at our home and size, the vents, the AC system outside and inside. He gave us a few options, getting a system only installed into the wall for upstairs only. However after looking at our system size he stated that it was big enough to cool the house. After speaking we decided that we should have the AC looked at about the leak first before we should decide on the estimate. Overall, Rick did not push us to extra work, push that we did need something bigger. He could have said he agreed with the previous company, but he did not. He gave us different price options, and was very friendly. The second appointment Sid was our technician. He was just as wonderful as Rick. He came in and looked at our system and got right to work. It turned out it was clogged, as we have three large dogs and weren’t changing the filters enough.... (we change them once a month, probs should do it twice a month.) it had collected water in the system, and was backed up and had soaked the insulation around it. Which could be the reason it isn’t cooling the house well. He got everything completed and corrected. Overall it was a great experience. Not to mention I called on Tuesday and had both appointments scheduled for the same week. I highly recommend them. There prices were a bit higher then others (not by much) but well worth the little bit of extra. They are quick, Kind, do not force work that is not needed on you, and professional.

I will say the HVAC guys who came over did an amazing job. They worked two days and on the second day till 6:30 trying to get my HVAC system running. The reason for only four stars is that after the electrician installed a new circuit breaker he failed to hook up a circuit leading to the kitchen. I've been using Norfolk Air Heat Cooling Plumbing Services for over 32 years, at the condo in Virginia Beach, VA. On this occasion I met Chuck who was a Technician and he was able to assess a Smartleak System will prevent any future water leaks or crisis by shutting down the main, and Draining off a hot water heater into the main drain. This is kind of a major job but the leak smart system is the way to go especially if you live in a condo on the third floor this system will shut down your water main once the sensors that are tied into your Wi-Fi and your phone can monitor a detection. Norfolk air sent me an estimates I agreed to do the job and lo and behold I had a leak coming out of one of my condensation lines in the system of the AC. I immediately called them they came that day and they sent service person to correct job the same days prop service.

Markland was great!!! He cleaned up the water( which was a lot) in the attic,diagnosis and fixed the problem. I was angry because I just had a service call a little over a month before and the guy (Bill) did the absolute minimum...he replaced the wires in condenser. I asked him if he was going to check the unit in the attic. He told me "No..the fan is working now". He never checked the drain or freon level which is what eventually lead to the leaking from the attic. To me he was more interested in getting me to sign up for a protective/maintenance plan and doing a survey(free lunch) than completing the job. Markland was the total opposite. The epitomy of a professional. Clean-up, diagnosis, fix and recommend remedy. I've been with Norfolk Air for years and instead of giving a bad rating I just didn't rate at all. When I contacted Chuck Malone he was very prompt in returning my call and subsequently arranging an appointment time to make the required repairs. Hans was the person dispatched to perform the work. Hans reported right on schedule and was outfitted with a face mask, gloves and shoe coverings. This was our second pipe leak in the last three months...now a different area this time. As before, Hans immediately evaluated the situation , gathered the necessary tools and equipment to perform the work and made the repairs in a very timely and most thorough manner. Prior to the start of the work Hans reviewed in detail what needed to be done and what the cost would be. Again as with the previous work performed by Hans he was very diligent in taking care not to do any additional damage to the ceiling area which was damaged earlier by the leak. After carefully and skillfully making the repair Hans stood by for a period of time to make sure the repairs were well taken care of...and indeed they were. At all times Hans exhibited a thorough knowledge of what was required and did so in a highly professional manner. He did offer other immediate services, but was in no way pushy with them as my main concern was getting the system back up as my AC system is one of quite a few snowball house issues that have occurred all at once, so his polite recommendations were very nice and in deference to my aching wallet due to other issues. I'm super happy with the visit with a reasonable trip fee of $89 and the fuse was $40 for a total wallet thump of $129. Very reasonable considering I went from zero AC function to full power within 2 hours AFTER normal hours.

Matt Smith was our second HVAC technician. In my opinion, the first technician did not properly complete our requested service. I was told the first technician did complete what is normally required for the job, and that the additional stuff completed my the second technician is not normally required. The bottom line is that this company sent over a more qualified individual the day after, more specifically Matt, to ensure that we would be satisfied with the company's services. The company did not charge for the second technician, which I would have challenged anyway, but instead "made it right." The amount of debris and water Matt cleared from our HVAC during the second visit was astonishing to me. Matt "soft-sold" his efforts as removing minimal debris from our HVAC drain lines. I saw the amount of debris and water, it was not minimal. Our HVAC now is cleaned out and functioning as designed. Thanks Matt for your efforts! Thanks to the customer service employee, Heather (I think that is her name), for being professional and making certain that the issue was resolved. I have used this company a number of times and my issues plumbing/HVAC issues do get resolved, at a competitive price, even if the technicians need to return to complete the service. Since there is damage to my floor, the team agreed to schedule with me and my floor contractor to come install the pan. Professional team and answered all my questions. We had a very timely and professional response from our technician Emanuel, he was super friendly, very good with my kids and even took the time to recognize and humor my dogs. Hello, looking for a great heating and AC company. I recommend Norfolk Air Heating & AC. I contacted their office for a service call; the receptionist took my information and the service technician came out the next day and worked very hard to get my 24-year-old unit to stay lit (gas unit), in which he accomplished. As he continued to check for proper operation he discover the unit is not exchanging heat well and the heat exchanger is rusted and clogged. We determined that there was no salvaging this worn out unit. The Service Tech contacted an Estimator. The Estimator was out the next day, gave me written quotes for 3 levels of heating and AC. I choose what I wanted, scheduled for the Install Technicians to come out, they arrived early scope out the job, covered all the floors that they would be working over. I've had two great experiences with these guys. (1) The came to fix my underperforming AC in the summer and quoted me a price of around $500. Later determined that the quote was several hundred $$ less than they should have billed, but didn't try to jack up the price. (2) More recently, I have since moved away and rent out my unit. They arrived and inspected the unit and found a small defect, but couldn't get in touch with my property manager. So they managed to get in touch with me on the west coast to authorize the work so that I wouldn't be billed for an additional visit. Every time I deal with these guys, they are responsive, professional, fair, and efficient. I'm happy to drop 5 stars on these guys!

By chance I saw one of their vans driving by, so I thought I'd start by getting a quote from them. That was the best call I could have made! Bobby (the owner) came to my house, educated me on all the details I needed to know, gave me a quote, then told me to go and get other quotes... that allowed me to ask for exactly what I wanted and compare apples to apples. No one compared. The techs completed the job promptly. They were courteous, helpful and attentive... my new system works like charm, and I'm saving money on my energy bill. One terrible day in the middle of winter, my husband noticed that our outdoor fan unit stopped working. We called one heating guy that we used before and he told us that the unit needed to be replaced, but the freon would cost us up to $100 a pound, because that type of unit was eventually going to be phased out. Knowing that the house we bought was 30+ years old, we knew it would be best to just replace both the indoor and outdoor unit. We had about 6 different companies come by and give us estimates, and we automatically thought Norfolk Air Heating, Cooling and Plumbing would be our best choice. Bobby was not only the most knowledgeable, he was personable, and offered the best units for a reasonable price. The service men were prompt and respected our house and space. Bob came back and made sure everything was working properly after the installation, and will be back again within the year. Overall, we will recommend this company to all of our friends and family in the area if they ever need their heating or cooling to be fixed. Choose them! You will not be disappointed!

This is my third experience with this company, and all have been positive! I had a pipe freeze/burst in my garage during the Snowpocalypse last year (of course in the evening AND on a weekend) and they were the only company that could truly offer emergency service. The tech was out within the hour, repaired the pipe, took payment through an Ipad, and emailed me a receipt while he was still there. He was quick, professional and had a great attitude, which was a pleasant surprise considering the late night and bad weather. After learning they also offered HVAC services, I signed up for a monthly service plan that includes an annual cleaning/inspection service of my heat pump, reduced service call fees, discounts on parts/labor, and no overtime fees. Over the weekend, our AC stopped working and the temps were rising quickly with more hot weather on the way. Again, after placing the call, a tech was out within an hour, quickly discovered the problem, completed the repair, and had us back to a 68 degree home before dinner. If you want a company with knowledgeable and professional techs, reliable service, and 24 hour availability, these are the folks to call!

Over the weekend I noticed I had a problem with my main sewer line. I though with a little Drano and some patience that I could fix it myself. This Morning (a Monday, great way to start off the week) I found my back yard flooded and sewage everywhere. So, I am not the plumber I thought I was. I called NAHCPE and they came out to the house within a half hour of my call. Marvin and Henry came out and did a great job. I was up and running in an hour. I would like to also add that I had a problem with my A/C a few weeks back. I called NAHCPE and the sent out Tyre. Another great professional from this organization. Tyre tried to sell me on the service plan, but my thought then was, "What could go wrong." I was wrong -- when you think you are in the clear, that is when SH*T happens -- and in my case this morning -- literally. I would recommend NAHCPE to anyone. Oh -- and I am not on a service plan.
