The many equipment options and contractors to choose from when considering an HVAC upgrade can be overwhelming. Modern residential systems cover the spectrum from basic single stage heating and cooling to higly advanced sensing microprosessor controlled multi stage units. First decide what you need then what you want and finally how much you're willing to spend, set a budget then get the very best you can afford. The standard idiom, you get what you pay for, applies here and being a big investment it's a decision best not made under pressure when facing imminent failure of an existing system during the hottest or coldest days of the season. If you're in the market to upgrade your older heating and cooling equipment to gain energy efficiencies, improve comfort levels and perfrmance, and add the convenience of integrating smart home automation now's the time as manufacturers are increasing prices across the board, a trend likely to continue over the next couple of years. After all my due diligence and soliciting bids from four contractors I decided on Vogel Heating and Cooling to install a cutting edge Daikin FIT multi stage inverter system. Beginning with my initial Vogel contact to scheduling an appointment with Erik the sales consultant and finally the installers Ben and Zach this was one of if not the easiest and most stress free contractor experiences I've ever had. At every stage of the process all my questions were answered promptly, phone calls returned the same day, every schedule was met, and the work completed on time with no surprises. Erik, Ben, and Zach are the A Team, polite, patient, professional, and masters of their craft. The Daikin system itself has only been operational a couple of days but the improvement in heating comfort levels on all three floors of my home was immediate and dramatic, no more wild swings from too cold to too warm and the add on humidifier vastly reducing the indoor effects of our regions dry winter air. It's a bit early to say regarding AC comfort but I fully expect the same positive outcome. I'm demanding and have high expectations when spending a lot of money so if like me you think in terms of quality, value, reliability, service, and long term partnering to extend equipment life and performance then Vogel H&C should be on your short list. I'd highly recommend Vogel to anyone.

Prices were very competitive versus other quotes and I now have a top-tier Carrier system versus builder grade York/Coleman from other quotes. My experience with Vogel Htg was wonderful from start to finish. No high pressure sales pitch from Ken, the HVAC specialist who handled our project. From the beginning, he wanted to know if I had specific problems that needed to be addressed/resolved with the new furnace. After inspecting our ductwork, taking necessary measurements, etc., he presented his replacement choice & clearly explained why he chose this particular furnace & how it would address the issues we were experiencing with our previous furnace. The quoted price was well within our budget & then found out that we were eligible for a rebate that Vogel was offering at the time which made it the price even better. Each person that I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable & friendly. I can't say enough about how stress-free this experience was. So thankful for selecting Vogel. We will probably need a new AC system next season & I feel so blessed to have Vogel to rely on. Honesty goes a long way. Our new furnace has resolved the issues that we paid other companies to fix, but the issues remained.

Vogel is a little on the expensive side, but for the quality of service and the quality of the hvac system itself, it’s very very worth it. We needed an entirely new system and went with the cheapest option they had available and it’s still such a high quality, I can’t believe it. A huge step up from the 50 year old furnace held together by duct tape that was hanging on by a thread in the basement. I’d recommend Vogel to absolutely anyone

It was reassuring to see a picture of him along with a description of his credentials and what I could expect when he came to my home. From that point forward it was smooth sailing. Dennis, the installer, was very skilled and accomplished the job in an efficient manner. FAST. Vogel will be the first company we call for HVAC needs. Our AC went out during a heat wave in May - 85 degrees in our house. Called 2 other companies; first one couldn’t help because we had a nest thermostat and the second company couldn’t come out for another week. Vogel came out the same day, diagnosed and fixed the unit in less than 30 minutes. We did have to pay weekend rate but I would have given a kidney to have AC again. Eric explained the different options, showing me cost comparisons, and benefits for four system choices. He was very patient with my list of questions. The team they sent for installation could not have been more efficient and friendly. They worked hard and removed old systems and installed the new high efficiency heating and cooling in a timely manner, around my work schedule. I began seeing major savings on my cooling bills in the Fall and this winter, I have much lower heating costs. The house is very comfortable on all levels. The sound of the systems are very quiet when operating. And the smart thermostat is easy to program and schedule setting. Do yourself a favor and make a point to call and have them evaluate your needs and discuss system options. You will be glad you did.

I have used Vogel 4 times now for both remodeling, repair and planning future whole system replacements. I feel like Grant is my friend in the HVAC business. If I have an issue, I call his cell phone to first get his take on the best approach. He has guided me through some complicated situations in a historic, 3 story home from 1890. Additionally, I just received great service from Rick who repaired some leaks on our natural gas pipes. He was very patient listening and answering all of my questions in addition to doing thorough repair work.

Had to replace an AC unit during fall season and called 4 companies for quotes. Vogel was very similar in price but it was the attention to detail that made me pick them. Grant Vogel with Vogel HVAC was fantastic in explaining how they install the system and checked carefully everything to make sure he quoted me the correct unit size and gave a discount. We needed it done promptly and he was able to do it the following week. The installer Zack came and did. A great job and made sure I was happy before he left. He explained how it all was set up and even installed a new thermostat. A couple of months later I had a concern about some caulking and contacted Vogel. The office staff sent someone the next day and even Grant came with the them to confirm it all was well - which it was. I will be using them for now on for servicing my units. If you need a new unit contact Grant Vogel you won’t regret it ! Everyone I’ve had contact with from the office staff to the service men to Grant have been very friendly and taken care of everything promptly. Thank you Vogel and Grant!

The Vogel team was nothing short of wonderful. We had our AC go out overnight over a weekend, and they were one of the only local companies that even answered the phone (we left messages with 6 other companies, only 2 called back - one didn't service our area and the other couldn't even get a technician out for over a week). We have an infant with medical issues who couldn't handle the heat, and they were incredibly responsive to our concerns. They gave us an estimated time (same day), then called again to move it up several hours. Paul was extremely kind and respectful, even when delivering the bad news of needing a new unit. Erik was phenomenal with his explanation of all our options just a few hours later. We never felt pressured, and our needs/concerns were heard. I cannot recommend them for their customer service and professionalism enough!

I first have to admit that I work at Vogel Heating and Cooling on the new-equipment Installation side of the business. But during the 2021 cold-snap I noticed that my furnace was not keeping us comfortable. So I booked an appointment with our Service Team. The Service Tech came out the next day. He was top-notch. The second story of our house has always been hotter than the first. We’ve been in this house for 4 years and this has always been a problem. I had multiple companies come out and give me their recommendations as to how they would fix the problem. Most of them recommended we just replace the entire HVAC system. When Erik Fisaga from Vogel came out, he said replacing the entire system was definitely an option, but told us there wasn’t anything wrong with our current system. It still worked, the problem was that the cooler air wasn’t making it to the second floor. Even if we ran the AC longer, the 2nd floor never seemed to fully cool down. And the first floor thermostat would shut off before the 2nd floor was cooled down. Because if this he highly recommended we install the Arzell Zoning System vs. spending the money to replace the entire system. We decided to go with the Arzell Zoning System. Vogel installed it quickly and very professionally. I was shocked with how clean, kind, and professional their team was. After the system was installed, our 2nd floor IMMEDIATELY cooled down. This system completely solved our 2nd floor temperature problem. Anyone with a two-story house should have Vogel come out and install this Arzell Zoning System!! We’re extremely happy with Vogel and the high quality work they do. We will definitely be using them for future HVAC needs. Thank you, Erik and Vogel Team!!!

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! What an amazing experience. My AC system broke the first time I turned it on this season, obviously that was a bad day. I had been nursing this old system along for a few years so I knew it was time to finally replace it. I collected bids from several companies and ended up going with Vogel. One of my major wishes for the new system was to get the A/C unit moved from the middle of my patio to the side of my house. Vogel was the only company that took the time to come up with a plan to accomplish this. Their salesman was very knowledgeable and extremely thorough. The install could not have gone better. The crew was clean, organized, respectful and most importantly the job looks perfect throughout. And last night I was able to grill on my patio and not have to hear air conditioner drowning out the conversation for the first time ever. Can’t describe how wonderful that was, although when I went and listened to how quite the new A/C is, maybe I didn’t have to move it. Lol!! We bought our current home last summer and the furnace system stopped working last week. The warranty company (AHS - beware!) denied our claim because it was caused by a malfunction (yep, that's why we have warranty). Anyways, Vogel was able to come out to give us an estimate and had a technician out the next morning to put in a new system. We had no heat in the house for 3 days while waiting for the warranty company, so we really appreciated how quickly Vogel got things done. The salesman and the technician were extremely friendly and courteous. They explained things very clearly for us and the bid was reasonable as well. We totally recommend this company.

Vogel is fantastic. In every way. We had a 16 year old ac. Got quotes from two really large name brand hvac companies in STL that you hear a lot about. Also got a quote from a small shop. All three were basically worthless. No details. Lots of technical language that gets you lost and you feel they are selling you something you don’t need. Vogel came within 24 hours of calling, quoted us four options and we had it installed within 48 hours...in May! Best part is they talk to you not at you or over your head. They want to make sure you understand what they are doing and why it is necessary and that you are onboard with it before they do it laying out the ramifications of if you take their suggestion or if you don’t. It’s never fun to buy an AC but Vogel made it so it enjoyable and I felt confident I got what I needed and didn’t get take. To the cleaners. Great job. Will send them business when we need a furnace

This is an honest and ethical company. Today, they came to my house for the second time this year, . They arrived early and were very kind. The young man could have easily charged me an extra $200 for a part I did not need and I would not have known any different. I did not have the same experience with their competition (H.Bros.). Chris came out after hours to my tenant’s apartment and diagnosed the problem with the furnace. The charge for the visit was explained to me ahead of time. Chris got the furnace working again and explained what part malfunctioned and why it should be replaced in a way that I could understand. He told me what the charge would be for the new part including installation and it was a very reasonable price. I will definitely be calling Vogel again for any HVAC issues.

Over the years we have used New Systems now Vogel Heating and Cooling, to service, repair and replace our HVAC unit. WE have been impressed with the professionalism and the prompt response from the staff, in particular Joe Stone has been great. We request that Joe be the person who does our twice yearly inspections and preventative maintenance. My dogs like him, and he does not seem annoyed by their wanting to greet him. Excellent service, Vogel, thank you! I returned home from work last night to discover my furnace had quit working sometime during the day. When I called Vogel this morning Sandi S was very friendly and more than happy to accommodate my work schedule while still having someone at my house this afternoon to address the problem. Joe S was the service technician and I cannot say enough positive things about him. He was punctual, personable, professional and really listened to the problem as I understood it as well as the troubleshooting I tried the night before. Joe explained what he was doing as he did it and gave me a lot of valuable information about my furnace. Joe’s first diagnostic of the issue was correct and the furnace was running again quickly but he still completed a full review of the furnace, including turn it on and off several times, to ensure I would not be running into another issue in the near future. My furnace is older and I know something is bound to go wrong with it down the road, but thanks to Joe I am confident that I will have no further issues this winter. When something does go wrong (again, older furnace) I will definitely be giving Vogel a call.

He gave us options for fixing our 24 year old system vs. replacing it and didn't complain when we originally said we'd replace it and then changed our minds 10 minutes after he left even though it meant he'd have to spend more time outside in the heat. Joe found a part that did not test at 100 percent. The unit is 13 years old and I said to replace it now. We discussed the air quality in the house. He suggested that the GPS 2400 air purification system would solve the problem. Should know in a short time. Joe explained the benefits of Vogel's annual maintenance plans. Plan to pick one soon. Our AC went out on the hottest day of the year (108˚) plus being a Saturday. Most places were closed 'til Monday but we found Vogel was open 24/7. They came out first thing Sunday morning. When our home was due for a new furnace and central air unit, I compared Vogel, Hoffmann & Scott-Lee as well as the manufacturers they sell on many categories and tracked everything in a spreadsheet. Scott Lee failed or refused to answer many of the questions so that left Hoffmann and Vogel to compare. Both companies were comparable but Vogel had the lowest trip charge, lowest weekend and evening service fees, no BBB complaints, higher Angies list ratings, higher Google ratings and their technicians are members of Sheet Metal Workers Local 36. My research also found that most of their products are made in Marshalltown, Iowa (except the Merit series) by Union Machinists and the system I chose had higher BTU ratings, better heat exchanger material, better warranties on the compressor, condensing unit, and coil, better dealer discounts, better net costs and they included everything I asked for in writing. The installation was performed by two technicians on site with another technician making the plenum and return duct back at their shop. The overall installation was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better job. I have had a few seasonal checkups and a recent service call for a bad pressure switch. Each service technician was extremely knowledgeable, professional, thorough and on the recent service call, the unit was up in running in no time. The bottom line is that the technicians are awesome and Sandi in the office is great to work with when scheduling appointments. I highly recommend Vogel to anyone looking for the BEST Heating & Cooling Company in St. Louis.

Joe Stone is a great tech and an asset to Vogel Heating & Cooling! He took the time to explain the current issue/s and how to mitigate against future issues. Talked about my air cleaner and how using a different filter could provide better results. He stressed the need for proper maintenance and that because I hadn't, I was potentially on the verge of a compressor failure. Joe completed the annual inspection, including items not done at the fall inspection. He also explained about the R22 refrigerant phaseout and a new system will be needed, if refrigerant issues present. I worked with Joe and Dale Fiori when they were with NewSystem and I am so glad to be able to continue the relationship.
