I am delighted with the service I received from the maintenance specialists while replacing the Thermocouple on my water heater. The work was done without issues and completed in less than 30 minutes. I will always recommend this company to anyone needing heating and cooling services. I would also like to mention how this company takes full accountability and responsibility if any repairs are not up to par. Not that I have had that experience. I read the reviews posted on BBB and was very impressed with how Thomas Hoffman and his team explained each situation and the subsequent resolution to the customer's satisfaction.

Thomas Hoffman finally solved my problem. I bought a brand new high-efficiency train from a company in St. Louis. When they came out for maintenance, they couldn’t give me the right size filter. I thought it was very strange. Unfortunately I called Hoffman brothers thinking that I called Thomas Hoffman and they came out to clean my vents and do a service check. They left me with a very odd size filter and told me they couldn’t give me the right filter. I have the photos to prove it. I am so frustrated because Thomas Hoffman came out and immediately had the right filter for me gave me possible solutions to my upstairs being too warm in the summer, and I would recommend them highly. Just be sure you call the right Hoffman Thomas Hoffman.

We called Thomas Hoffmann Air Conditioning & Heating for an emergency AC repair. They made it so easy on us - kept us updated on their arrival time, quickly recognized the problem, went over the scope of work with us, and then fixed the problem. For what is typically a not fun thing to spend money on, they definitely made it a seamless, easy experience. They also called me a few days later to let me know that they actually accidently overcharged me for the refrigerant they added to the system and let me know I was going to be reimbursed for the overcharge. They're honestly such a great, ethical company to use. I would 100% recommend them for emergency repairs, or any AC needs!

Nick was awesome! Originally after being busy, he called to reschedule. I reluctantly agreed simply because I needed the service done. After we got off the phone, I got a text from Nick asking if I’d prefer to come late tonight at 8/830. I told him I’d much prefer to just knock this out asap & get my AC back on tonight; but that I understood the time of night. Nick politely accepted. He showed up & went right to the unit. Had the issue pointed out in 5 minutes. He not only fixed the AC unit, but he also took an extra 5 seconds on his way out the door to tighten a loose end on a water heater we spotted while checking the inside unit. Nick was efficient, polite, friendly & knowledgeable. More importantly, he was confident in what he was doing which made everything worth my time & money. Service / diagnostic was a little expensive, didn’t know that to get a guy out was basically 200$ right off the bat. Buuuut, everything went well, it was quick, I had to do very little and within 30 minutes (probably less), he was gone & my AC was working. Nick (I don’t believe) has anything to do with the service charges lol. Awesome service, you pay for the quality you get. Will be calling with my next issue when / if it arises.

I called this company not expecting to get same day service. They answered the phone and I explained the situation with elderly parent in house without heat. They called me back within a half an hour and advised that the owner himself was going to make a special trip because of situation with my father. He showed up within an hour of call! Very nice man, explained what he found wrong and repaired at the same time. I fully expected to pay an exorbitant amount and that wasn’t the case. The bill was actually so low I tried to give him extra for all that he did, but he would Not accept any extra money. I have now switched my business and home to this company, and of course my parents have decided to use Thomas Hoffmann for their maintenance in the future. I can not say enough about the excellent service and gratitude I have for the way they treated me and my parents!

Nick came out to take a look at both outdoor units. I wanted to learn a bit more about the ac repair and he was exceptionally friendly. He explained each step that he was taking and how it fit into the larger picture. What stood out the most was how well stocked the truck was. I had to surprisingly fix two units and Nick was able to produce a second motor from the truck as well as additional equipment necessary to make the piece fit.

Had an issue with my AC not cooling the house, with it being 100% out. I called Thomas Hoffmann AC and Heating. The lady I talked with understood my problem, and was able to send Nick Hoffmann out the same day. I am sure they were swamped with the weather being so hot. Nick came out a few hours later and fixed the issue. Same day service was extremely nice with it being so hot. House is cooling down now!!!!! Same day service and more than reasonable charge, Nick sure knew what he was doing and diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. Due to a forgotten zoom appointment at the house we had to delay the Thomas Hoffmann appointment by almost 1/2 hour. Our technician Briton was very accommodating and didn’t make us feel at all guilty for messing his schedule. Replaced 4 capacitors in outside unit, replaced my thermostat with one of his (mine worked, I just wanted to update it. Repairman Nick was very pleasant and had the air going within the hour. I forgot to have Nick leave the thermostat instructions, box and my old capacitors. I did call and asked for manufacturers instructions, was told ok, BUT, have not received them. I don’t know the thermostat model number, I don’t see it on the thermostat, and I don’t have the manufacturer instructions which would include other information. I believe the price was extremely high but, with today’s economy I expected it to be high, just not that high. I GUESS THE COMPANY IS NOT GOING TO SEND THE INSTRUCTIONS TO ME. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT.

Was looking to install a smart thermostat in our home which was built in the 1950s which I was having problems doing on my own. Little did I know, the previous owners had made a mess of the heating/cooling wiring system in my house when they replaced the furnace. Because of the issues with the wiring system, it ended up becoming a three day job when it should have been 3 hours. However, Nick kept coming back until the job was done correctly and the right way. We purchased a condo only a month ago and our water heater expansion tank sprung a leak in the middle of the night. As a first time home buyer we had no idea how to handle it so we ended up calling around for emergency services without much luck until Thomas Hoffman picked up. The owner himself Tom Hoffman answered and advised he would be down right away. He arrived precisely when he said he would and jumped right in to clamp off the water. This was all at 12:00am at night too. They scheduled a visit the next day to fix everything up and they did a great job. Thomas Hoffman called to tell me when to expect them, showed up on time and overall very responsive. Jeff, the technician, took his time to explain things to me, walk me through what he was doing, and eventually identified it was my capacitor on my blower that failed. He also went a step further to speak with my Home Warranty company to discuss reimbursement because my home warranty was unable to get anyone in their network to repair my heating issue in a reasonable manor. It is Winter and I had to schedule my own outside service provider and was able to the same day with Thomas Hoffmann. but they Jeff had to speak with to get authorization for my reimbursement, which I would have to pay out of pocket. Hoffman is likely not the cheapest but they did seem highly educated, professional, thorough, and fixed my problem within an hour, so I think the value is there if you want it done right. And they go the extra mile with talking with home warranty so money well spent.

I attempted a DIY project that was a little more advanced than I anticipated. Thomas answered my call at 9:30 PM on a Saturday and completely bailed me out. He patiently walked me through the appropriate steps over the phone and solved my issue. He even offered to do a Facetime video conference if I needed additional help after our call. It is challenging to find someone with the skills, experience, and patience required to solve an issue like I had, especially over the phone. I am happy with the exhaust fan and thermostat installation but am not happy with the $89 service fee that was added to the bill. I had an estimate from Thomas Hoffman that did not include a service fee. The final invoice included a service fee. I was really irritated and called the office. I work in commercial HVAC and adding a fee that wasn't on the initial estimate is not acceptable.
