We had Gene out to inspect our system and Darrell to repair. These guys know their stuff. They are very professional, friendly, and caring. They take their time to make sure your needs are met. I know they have a hard job going into people's homes, maybe having to have the gas turned off until repairs can be made, and folks get angry. These guys are very graceful under pressure. Darrell did our repairs to our gas lines, and it looks so good. It was a very tough, lengthy job, but he made it look easy. He was so thorough, and made sure our repairs were top notch. I seriously can't thank them enough! They are just really good guys! And everyone I've spoken to at the office has always been so kind and caring toward me as well!

Energy Stars same and did an overall great job! They were all quite pleasant to work with from the office staff (calling and scheduling appointments) to the pros that were on the job site. They performed all the tasks and made sure the work site was clean and free of debris when they were done. We called to get an estimate on a new a.c. and heating system, they arrived early ( but called first ) were courteous and explained everything step by step and took the time to answer questions. Their pricing was comparable to other companies. Where they stood out was in knowledge and their professionalism but yet making the customer comfortable. They also took our needs into consideration, everything from scheduling to price ect... I would highly recommend this company as well as Eric Merckling. We still have our install to go so more to come on that part, if given the opportunity we will write a review on that phase as well.

My air conditioner stopped working just as the heat wave started. I was afraid that I'd need to replace the entire HVAC system as it's very old. Darrell quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced a part, saving me tons of money. He stayed to make certain it was working properly, gave me lots of information, and even cleaned the unit for me. I have used this company before for furnace issues and had similar positive experiences. I feel very confident and safe with them, and will for sure use them for a new HVAC installation when the time comes. A huge plus is that they're so nice and easy to be around. Thank you!

First hot day of the year, I turned on the A/C, it didn't work. Called Energy Stars for repairs. Being the hottest day of the year, there were a lot of people ahead of me and Energy Stars couldn't make it out to my house until the following day. Next day, Darrell from Energy Stars called me around 8:00 a.m., to tell me he was on his way. When Darrell showed up (on-time), he inspected the furnace electronics and didn't find any fault, so he went outside to look at the outside unit. Darrell found the fault in about 2 minutes. The electrical 'control wire' had been pulled away from the outside unit. (BTW- he had to open a panel on the outside unit to see the problem). He re-attached the wire and fixed my problem. Start to finish, it only took 20 minutes to diagnose and fix my problem. He only charged me the 'diagnostic fee' ($89). I'm quite pleased with Darrell and Energy Stars, not so pleased with the RACCOON who pulled my wire out.

Furnace had quit heating. Called Energy Stars Heating and Cooling. Repair person arrived within a hour. He quickly diagnosed what was wrong and coordinated with the office for a replacement part. A short time later after retrieving the part, he quickly made the repair and the heat was back on. In the process, he also explained how the system should work and what was wrong. Very pleased with my initial call and the service. Will definitely contact them again if/when needed.

Darrel was very quick to call back, and came quickly. It turned out I needed a new air filter and a general cleaning. He could have charged me a lot more since it was a Saturday. He made it a maintenance call which saved me about 50 or 60 dollars. He even helped me clean the filter. I would highly recommend them.

Decided it was time to pull out and replace the older (2007 era) Trane system that came with this house when I bought it last year. Freon kept leaking out and the leak couldn’t be found, plus it had an old, non-functional electronic air cleaner that I wanted to replace with a standard filter. Energy Stars arrived promptly to give me a price quote and could do the work the following week. As hot as it had been, this was good news vs a couple other places I called who were all booked up for weeks and said the A/C might be back ordered. I feel like I might have paid a little more than I could have for a comparable system elsewhere if I shopped around enough. But sometimes you just have to pay a little more to be sure the work is done right and done quickly. And this York equipment is certainly better quality than the cheap Goodman units I see a lot of smaller homes around here install on a budget. The installers were efficient and friendly, and showed up right when the office promised they would. The matched A/C and furnace meant I qualified for several rebates too - which their office took care of filling out, and all but one was subtracted from my total up front bill. Only complaint I guess I had was with their preferred financing company. I was charged a higher monthly payment than what my salesman calculated it would be - and the interest rate on it was almost 10% despite me having excellent credit. I could have done a lot better just borrowing from my credit union. Will probably just pay them off with a loan with better terms obtained elsewhere.

UPDATE: As usual, Darrell exceeded all expectations. We had been scheduled the past two seasons for A/C maintenance and each time it had to be rescheduled (emergency calls for customers with no A/C.) One of the hottest days of the year so far and he had a very full schedule. Looked like our appointment was going to be rescheduled. 5:45pm there's Darrell at our door, with a smile, to keep our appointment. The unit was dirty and we were relieved to have it serviced. Thank you for going above and beyond in taking care of us. Once again, totally impressed with the professionalism of Darrell and the staff at Energy Stars Heating and Cooling. They were terrific installing our new system last year and performing the annual furnace maintenance. Darrell is extremely knowledgeable and very respectful of our home. He always wears booties over his shoes to protect our floors and is very careful while in our home. Highly recommend this company.

UPDATE 7/24/20: The newly installed AC unit was done yesterday and is working marvelously! Perfect timing with a heat advisory for this entire weekend. Felix and his crew were very professional, they came to the house with masks on, were quick and efficient, and were done well before the estimated time of completion. The house only dropped 5 degrees! They cleaned up and when done it was as if by magic I had a new system as they left no dirt or remnants. Highly recommend again Energy Stars for now service and installation.

We have been without AC since Monday, we had thought about tiger for our issues, but after reading the bad reviews we went and gave Energy Star a try. Let me tell you, they went above and beyond what I expected of them. Our service man was very pleasant and nice, and didn't try to tell me some BS like tiger, nor did they try to sell me anything. Tiger told me my air conditioner was on its last leg, the gentlemen who came to my house said that it has plenty of life still. Energy Star for the win! Had a new furnace installed service best service around, highly recommend.

Again I'm very happy with the service. Darrell came and checked and also checked the airflow to help me get the air up to the second floor. Apparently there was an open vent in the basement all this time. 😂🤣 he also checked and fixed some wiring to make it more efficient and gave me some insulated tape to cover the vent. I am very happy with every interaction that I've had with energy stars and will continue to reccomend them to anyone who needs a new system or any service on their existing.

They installed my furnace about 7 years ago. Great people, friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and give advice, suggestions and any help necessary during the visit. Darryl came out on 7/10 to find out why my AC worked but wasn't blowing cold air. The blower motor was bad. Thankfully it's covered under the 10 year warranty. He explained what happened and everything well.

Darrell with Energy Star came out to install a google nest thermostat today. He call to confirm his appointment with an arrival timeline. He arrived wearing a mask to keep himself and and others safe due to the pandemic. He also wore shoe coverings to keep the floor clean. Darrell was very polite, friendly and professional. While performing the installation he noticed something loose on the control panel which he pointed out and readily repaired. Darrell is a very conscientious worker and I noticed he takes pride in his job. I think Darrell is a real asset Energy Star.

This company was somewhere in the middle of pricing, but the setup we purchased was in the higher end, and the company was willing to match the price of another company in my short list. The installers were impressive, even replaced some of the old ductwork to improve airflow. Everything neat and tidy, we were given a quick lesson on using the new multistage gas and heat pump system, and they cleaned up afterwards.

We found the EnergyStar team very courteous and polite. They installed a new furnace and air conditioning system. Our replacement wasn’t the easiest but the employees worked hard until the job was done. We received three bids for our job and found EnergyStar to not only to be the best buy but I feel the better system. When they first came out to give a bid, the estimator, Hunter, spent the time to check what would be the best for us and took time in measuring and explaining our options and sold us a system that will save us money on our energy bills. They also made sure we got an Ameren Illinois rebate. The other companies came in, looked at our old system and gave us a price, didn’t tell us about the rebate and left. They were only here a few minutes and not thorough at all like EnergyStar. If you need a replacement or repairs on your home’s furnace and air conditioner, you will be quite please when you give EnergyStar a call.
