Unexpectedly our AC went out and it was over 90 degrees in the house! Our home warranty paired us with someone that wouldn’t even answer their phones, so they were no help. So I did some of my own googling and found Classic Air Care. They told us right away that they could have a tech out same day! Dan was our technician and he was super professional and was able to diagnose and fix the issue in about 20 minutes. Very reasonably priced as well! I am so thankful for Dan and Classic Air Care! You saved our butts! Thank you so much! I highly recommend this business! They won’t let you down!

Great service at only $800 hourly rate. I had a simple A/C issue and I knew that I needed a new capacitor before I called Classic Are Care. It's a $15 part that snaps in easy but I'm too lazy to do this myself so I called for service. They were prompt and polite. The service guy was friendly and professional. Diagnosing the problem and replacing the part took less than 30 minutes and I got an invoice for over $400 (roughly $800 an hour). If you have money to burn like I do then you should definitely call them for all your repair needs.

I initiated the repair call around 8:45AM. I was informed that they could provide a tech same day and that I would receive a call/text with expected arrival time. Within a few minutes I received a text with my techs name and color photo so I would know who to expect. Within an hour I received another text advising my tech was en route. My tech arrived about 30 minutes later. I described my concerns. He located the issue which was resolved by thoroughly cleaning some components in addition to a specific heating element ( if I understood correctly). The furnace soon began producing proper heat again. While he was on site he also replaced a broken water line to my humidifier that I was unable to presently use. The tech explained any and all associated costs prior to performing service. Very pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient tech. A 5 out of 5 Star experience!

I’ve been impressed with multiple team members on multiple visits. Every repair has been addressed in a timely manner and you can tell the technicians receive regular training. They are kind and are very professional. Checkout is handled on a tablet and I’ve known the cost before repairs are made. We also had a replacement system installed. What a nice company! Had an emergency and gave them a call late in the evening. They were the only one to call me back. Had the winter checkup of our furnace today. Andrew K was the technician. I’ve only been in this house 4 months and Andrew explained everything about the furnace, our Alpine filter, and our UV light filtration. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Hometown small business reliability and respect. They've installed 3 furnaces starting with my mom, them and then my son. All top quality. What was need, not about thw money thwy could make. One last thing, get their annual maintenance package. It's economical for Spring and Fall service plus priority emergency service. Love them!

Several years ago, I became a customer of Harster Hearing & A/C. I consistently received exceptional service. Now Harster is under the umbrella of Classic Aire Care, and the exceptional service continues. When I needed a new HVAC system, I didn't receive any bids from any other company, because I have total trust in Classic Aire. My new system is amazing. Recently my water heater stopped working, so I decided to check out their plumbing service. Tyler N was the plumber to came. I was prepared to purchase a new water heater. However, he looked at the problem from several angles, and in the end...there was not enough air circulation in the utility closet, sensors had tripped, Tyler lit the pilot and it is working! How is that for honest service!!! I feel secure with Classic Aire Care!

Very happy with the equipment and the service. Classic Aire Care helped us choose a new system for our house after our boilers failed. We chose the Mitsubishi Mini-Split ductless system. These systems are really, really quiet and are keeping our old South City home very comfortable with even heat throughout the space. Further, Classic Aire Care helped us navigate the YGreen program which made updating our heating and cooling affordable and painless on our budget. The installation crew was first rate. Very pleasant, professional and fast. The units were installed with a minimum of mess and the whole project was just three days. From the time we signed the contract to final installation was less than a week. Special thanks to Mike Stein who made it all happen.

My house was built in 1980 and had questionable methods of maintenance/renovation to the HVAC systems.. The Team at CAC has made everything right & reliable. It feels good knowing my HVAC System is no longer a fire hazard. Prices are more than fair for the qaulity of work. The Employees have an enthusiast level of knowledge regarding HVAC and every employee has been great. I had a great experience with Mike Stein. I had two other well known HVAC companies (one that I had used for 15+ years), that I had spoken to before I met with Mike. He explained why I needed a 3, rather than a 2.5 ton AC unit. The other two companies did not know my exact square footage, but Mike did. My two installers were on time and got the unit installed quickly. I also had a new thermostat that replaced my previous one. The new one was smaller so Ian installed a plate behind it and explained how to operate the new one. I highly recommend Classic Aire Care. Mike, or your sales rep, will text/email/phone you before, during, and after the sale to make sure everything was satisfactory. The price was competitive, and I will be switching to CAC for all of my future maintenance needs.

We have used various divisions of the company for years, especially with Heating and AC. We have the Platinum Service Plan and get the free annual inspection. The Inspector said they would easily be able to replace the toilet and he took pictures of everything. I received a call from the gentleman who is their estimator and we went over everything and he said he would schedule everything he said he have looked at all the pictures and knew what needed to be done. The tech arrives and I go over everything and he knew nothing about 2/3's of it. We spend the next hour and a 1/2 going back and forth with his supervisor about what was supposed to be done. We ended up at least getting the toilet replace but the other 2 things did not happen. The tech did a good job for what he did. I love the company this was just very frustrating and I voiced this to head of plumbing that i wish they would get their internal communication sorted out.

As usual, another fantastic experience with Classic Aire Care. Had an appointment set up for annual maintenance. What was found, was a melted humidifier. They ordered new one and in no time at all, called me that it was in and wanted to install it at my convenience. Three days later the tech was here as promised and right on time. Very professional and very polite. He encountered a snag one point and discussed it with me. Then after a short period, he called his supervisor for a second opinion. I'm glad he did. He saved me a lot of money by making a better informed decision. In no time at all, it was all done. No mess and all put back together. This is my go to company.

He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and understanding during the entire process. His communication with me before, during, and after the installation was beyond my expectations and I wish every company kept customers informed like Sean does. He sat down with me and explained a "good, better, best" option for nearly two hours and answered every one of my questions in a way I could easily understand. At no point in time did I ever feel pressured to make a decision or felt like I was being pushed into a more expensive option/up sold. Beyond the quote and sale aspect of my project the installation team was beyond reproach. They showed up exactly on time, were extremely respectful of my property, extremely detail oriented, and knowledgeable beyond my wildest expectations. They confirmed with me exactly the scope of the work before starting anything and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, even to the point of making sure the orientation of the new air handler wouldn't interfere with future projects of mine! The new system works flawlessly and when Sean originally told me it would be the most comfortable my home has ever been I think he was being modest. I recently had a large gathering of friends during which the doors to the house were opened with a great frequency letting hot outside air in. I don't think my home fluctuated more than 1 degree the entire day. I'm sure I could say more about the wonderful experience, but simply put Sean and the entire team are worth every single penny. In fact I have already recommended them to a friend who is having them out shortly, and I very rarely recommend a company.

Classic Aire came out to do a checkup on the furnace and humidifiers. It took the person over two hours to clean the system and to determine that one of the humidifiers was no longer working. Said he got the other one running but one was dead. Turns out when he left and I went down there, I heard constant water dripping. I checked the humidifiers and the one he “fixed” was not working properly and water was constantly running into the unit even when the unit was not on. Had to turn it off entirely as there has to be some sore of valve malfunction. $270 later, I have clean furnaces but neither humidifier is working. Will have to look into replacing those sometime soon.

I awoke to a chill as the blower quit on the coldest day of the year but the basement was nice and toasty. I called Classic Aire Care as they were closest to me locally and they slotted me in for an appointment. I was appreciative that they arrived within the hour. Jonathan was very professional and helpful in explaining that luckily there was nothing seriously wrong I just needed some basic maintenance. He offered a routine maintenance package which also reduced the cost of the cost and would result in a look at the AC unit in the spring. Something else I have failed to maintain well. All cleaned up the furnace was pushing hot air by mid morning. All in all not too much of an inconvenience. Well worth it

Immediate response. Had new system I stalled within 48 hours of first contact. All staff members were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Everything was perfect. They just came out this week to make sure our ac was good to go die to winter install. No cost ,just ensuring that everything is working properly . My water heater went out on a Saturday night. The master plumber arrived to my home by noon on Sunday. He was able to relight the pilot light. The pilot light went out 2 more times over the next 4 days. All the technicians were prompt and professional. I finally decided we needed to replace the water heater. Within 24 hours I received my new water heater and it was installed. I’m grateful for the top notch service I received from everyone. After hours support was amazing! The Classic Aire team service has always impressed me! I’ve used them for my homes system maintenance for two years, and the previous owner here used them for years. Two weeks ago, my heat went out. I called they were out within 30 minutes. I was shocked! They found the problem quickly and came back the next morning, once the needed piece was delivered from a third party. Being on the maintenance plan bumped me in the line (I believe they said) and saved me considerably on the repair. Sean came out for the estimate and looked at the stuff that would be replaced, spent time asking questions to find out our needs and budget and offered a couple of systems that fit. The actual estimate came in a couple hundred less than what Sean told us on site and was lower than the other bids we got for comparable equipment. The install was done 2 days after I signed the contract and was completed In one day. The installers did a neat and professional job and left the job perfectly clean. We have had the Lenox system for a couple weeks and so far it is working flawlessly.

I had a shower valve break while I was working on it at 1am. I have the main shut off valve for my entire building in my condo so it was imperative that I gotten it fixed immediately. This company was the only of 10 others I called to actually answer at 1 in the morning (they all said 24hrs online, they weren’t). I live in IL and they don’t typically do calls in IL, especially so late. Randy came to help me, anyway. He was very informative, friendly, and got the job done with no problem at all. He was in and out. I really appreciated his work.

I called and asked them to come out for an emergency. I had no heat following installation of a new thermostat by another company who would not send anyone after hours. As it turned out, the guy who installed the thermostat had done some wiring in the furnace but did not replace the door properly, The furnace was working when he left, but the door apparently had worked its way loose and was no longer depressing the kill switch so the furnace shut off and the only clue I had was that the thermostat was telling me that it was no longer receiving power. I had no idea what was wrong and was desperate. Classic Aire Care sent someone out very quickly and he also quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I was very happy with them. I'd have been without heat all night were it not for them. (Got my money back from the thermostat installer.)

Speed was great. Used this company twice for mechanical failures (AC and heating) and they came quickly. Today in less than 15 minutes for no heat. Repairman was courteous and followed all the Covid Rules. Work done promptly and tested. Expect increased cost for this excellent service. Billing was odd because of the way the repairmen are paid, I think.

Really happy with Classic Aire Care. We had a lot of problems with our air conditioning unit a few years ago that they eventually resolved. It had been a tricky issue with mice chewing on a line. They didn't charge us for a lot of their time. But about three years ago they put a furnace in which malfunctioned, and they replaced the whole furnace, no charge within a few days. They could have hassled us a lot about whose fault, etc. Really great about it. Outstanding client-first service!

I recently had a roof replaced and the roofers nailed through a gas line. I was turned away by a few HVAC companies and called Classic Aire Care & Sutter Plumbing desperate for help. The customer service was outstanding and they immediately put me at ease letting me know they could fix my gas line. They have excellent communication with email and text follow ups and reminders. I even emailed a picture of my gas line so they knew what material to pickup and they forwarded to the plumber who would be working with me. It turned out to be a little bigger job than anticipated because of the type of piping on my house, but Randy was patient and made sure it was a quality job. We are a 30+ years customer of Classic Aire Care (“CAC”). CAC does preventative semi-annual maintenance checks on our zoned HVAC systems and we have found their technicians to be excellent! Over the years we have purchased several furnaces and A/C condenser units from CAC. Recently we had a compressor fail in one of our A/C condenser units. The defective compressor was only 3 years old and was still covered by a “parts only” warranty. The labor to just repair/replace the defective compressor was more extensive than the labor required to install a brand new A/C condenser unit. Given the labor differential, CAC agreed to install a brand new A/C condenser at a substantial discount to us. In summary, CAC is a first-rate company that takes good care of its customers. I am a parent of the "new" homeowner, of 10219 Midland Blvd., at which replacement/installation was completed but not the payee. My daughter had contacted several companies but could not get them to respond back. I happened to look up on line HVAC companies close to the residence, about 7-8 one evening and up popped a surprising response from Classic Aire Acare asking what was the desired work. I stated the purpose and was told contact would be made with me the next morning and I was contacted. I told the person that my daughter was working (end of year so vacation time spent, her job is to answer phone inquiries so very limited outside phone usage, generally lunch break) and she was having difficulty getting HVAC companies to come to check her furnace, AC & hot water heater to see if working properly. Home inspection, by Pillar to Post, revealed these were working but they were older and should be further checked. After a little insistence, on my part, it was agreed that Classic Aire Care would come and check out the HVAC & water heater. As it turned out, the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger, the AC's freon would become unavailable Jan. 2020 and the hot water heater was 31 years old but functioning quite well. We informed our daughter as well as written inspection- evaluation information was forwarded electronically to her. There was only a small glitch when the water heater was left off the bid and therefore need to be added, along disconnecting a gas line and installing a water line for the refrigerator where the gas line was but issue got resolved a day later. Sarah decided to go with Classic Aire Care preforming the work, admittedly partially out of default due to no other companies responding. But mostly because of our recommendation, and that based on the manner in which business was conducted. In addition, the work was completed on the date(s) stated, arriving at time stated and completed in a timely manner. My husband and/or I were at the house for the inspections as well the installations. I appreciated receiving text stating the arrival time and a picture of the technician, with their name and a brief bio of who was coming made me feel safer and more confident in your business operations. The technicians were polite, cleaned up after themselves, answered questions regarding install as well as some not related to install and were personable. I would recommend your company to anyone needing HVAC & plumbing services, especially in the north central part of the county.

When it became obvious that I needed a new AC system, I turned to them, and because I felt the company is honest, decided against getting multiple bids. As I saw it, I could buy an AC from any number of companies, but I was buying more than an AC, I was buying years of service as well. If they were the company I intended to use for that service, why would I want to go shopping around for lower bids for the equipment? Update - I am pleased to say that Classic Aire Care righted my situation. I received my check back int he mail. The response said they went back and listened to the calls and heard that I was told there would not be a charge for the first visit. Overall this company did a good job with my plumbing needs. The reason for the three stars is due to being mislead on the cost of a service call. When I set it up, I was told a drain tech would come out and there is no charge for a drain tech. He would let me know if a plumber was needed. A plumber was needed, cam out and fixed the issue, I received a bill for the initial drain tech visit. When I called, they said it ended up being a plumber who came out the first time and I had to pay the service charge $69. Well, I did pay it but won't use this company again because they have lost credibility in my eyes.

We have an older home with an old boiler system on each floor. We've hired CAC twice over the past five years or so to fix the boilers when the radiators have gone cold and their techs always been fantastic. This time we had another company diagnose the problem and had no luck finding a replacement part. We started getting a bid for a new boiler system, but I called Classic Aire Care to see if they'd have any luck finding the right part. John M came out to take a look at it, took pictures and explained the problem, and had already called their parts guy to see if they had it in the warehouse. Luckily enough they had the part and had one of their guys deliver it out. John also did a much needed cleaning and tune up on the system in the meantime to improve the boiler's efficiency. I'm very happy with his work and will likely call them again to do a cleaning and tune up on the second boiler again soon.

A wee bit more than I expected to pay with a $60 house call (expected), but then $130 an hour for labor.
