I had a complete new HVAC system installation. Installation techs were professional and polite. Recently, about 6 months after the install, it began making noise... The repair was easily scheduled, quickly completed and under warranty. This occurred while I was deployed with the military. I could not be more pleased. Great Organization! Great People!

Excellent customer service. My repair was completed by Bryce and he is top notch. My system had a hard to diagnose issue that several others missed causing me an exponential amout of money over a few years. Central Air involved a rep from the ac manufacturer and he spent hours with Bryce troubleshooting and once they were finished everything started working as it should. Highly recommend the company and Bryce!!

Service tech was very nice and knowledgeable. Our issue is that we were charged $177 for the service call when it was an installation issue. We built our house 2 years ago. Central does all the hvac work. He noticed that the freon lines on both units were installed wrong. That's why the main floor unit froze. If it was correctly installed there would have been no issues. No service call.

We had Brendan Gaines and Josh Morgan install the full unit. They were extremely courteous and even fixed our ducts that were about to fall. Super nice guys and very hard workers. Woke up to our unit leaking and called a few different places. This place was the most responsive and had someone come out immediately. The technician, Bryce was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and had the issue fixed in no time. He then went over the steps with us, so we could fix it ourselves, in the event it ever happened again. This is definitely going to be the place we use for any issues that may arise in the future.

These guys came recommended on Facebook. Thank you to Katherine and the service tech who stayed a full hour showing how to operate the furnace even though there was nothing wrong with it, regardless he gave it a thorough inspection. Very reasonable price as well.Most techs would have left after 20 minutes and charged $300.00.

My HVAC unit was original to my house and season after season it would need a bunch of love to limp along until this year it had a major failure so it was time to replace it. Gordon was the one to come out, diagnose the issue, give a rough estimate for repairs and produced four different options for replacement as an alternative. Each option was thoroughly outlined and the pros/cons were well explained. After deciding which option was best, he returned to get accurate measurements to make a custom furnace enclosure (that they make in-house) which made the turn around time very quick for BIlly and Nick to come install it. The installers arrived precisely on time, they asked where I wanted various components, accommodated some last minute requests, and their estimates for time were spot on. The quality of work they left behind was top notch. They moved components and ran the equipment in ways that would have been very easy to just slap in but went out of their way to do it right despite adding to their workload. Long term performance remains to be seen but at the time of install I feel very confident in the quality and perfectionism of the installation. My preference was to support a local business if at all possible and in the end Central Air made it easy as their prices were competitive, they did not change pricing from what was quoted despite some unforeseen hurdles, and I'm not sure the overall experience could have been any better. Special shoutout to Charles as well for really coming through with bumping us up in the schedule to fit our circumstances. If you are searching for a company that is reputable, no-nonsense, and will leave you with a memorable and positive experience, I cannot recommend Central Air enough.

My only regret is that I didn’t find out about this wonderful company sooner! it started with Catherine in the office who coordinated everything! The Billy and Owen showed up the scheduled morning and immediately went to work. They were removing an air handler and heat pump that was nearly 20 years old and replacing them with all new equipment. Billy & Owen both took a lot of pride in their work and the company they worked for and it sure did show in their work! If I had any thoughts that this day would be filled with unpleasant surprises, they quickly erased them with the high skills and quality of their work! They started around 8 and finished in mid afternoon. One would be hard pressed to find a better company than Central Air with their above average personnel such as Catherine,Billy and Owen, great equipment and pricing. I have no problem recommending this great company that is locally owned and operated!!!

We were very pleased with Central Air Heating and Cooling. Our a/c was out when the temperature was in the 90's, and they still got us on the schedule right away and repaired it the next day. Fantastic experience, Bryce was extremely helpful and it was a great educational experience! I only needed a capacitor and he gave me the more economical choice because my unit is old and it wouldn't be worth an upgraded one. Could've charged me any price on earth because I know nothing about hvac but gave me a price way below what I was expecting. Also taught me how to clean the fins which i did not know needed done (assumed it only needed done when the outside was visibly clogged). Will go back for a full unit and ductwork when that time comes!

Simply Clean Laundry Service

AC shut down on the hottest day of the year. We called all over looking for someone to come out within 24 hours and Central Air made it happen. They texted when they were on the way, were within the window of time they promised, and a great value for the work we had done. Best of all, the AC for our business is now cooling again. Bad capacitor. Wouldn't you know it. Bryce was great to work with and we will definitely use Central Air next time we need work done. Thanks Central Air.

Called on Saturday morning around 8:30 a.m. with AC issues. Gordon responded promptly and put us on the list. AC was fixed just after Noon on Saturday! Fortunately, all needed parts for repair were on his van, and he had them installed and checked in a flash! Best part was all work done was covered under warranty. It only took one call to receive prompt service when our AC quit just before Memorial Day. Gordon arrived promptly, explained the problems with our 30+ year old A/C unit and left me with options to discuss with my husband. Great experience working with Central. Gordon did an initial analysis of our system and recommended improvements to address some issues we were having with noise and filtration. We decided to move forward with a new furnace motor, replace our metal duct work with flexible ducting, and install a better air filter. Skip did the actual installation. A few weeks later, we had a minor issue with the unit (not related to the installation) and Gordon came back out to check it and make some adjustment. Bottom line: these guys do quality work and care about their customers, something that seems to be increasingly rare these days. Everyone we worked with was professional, courteous, and responsive. So, it has taken me awhile to write this review because I’m a very suspicious person and always waiting to see if people/companies are really what they say they are. I have to say that this company did everything they said they would and correctly. I had no heat and it was January. Gordon came out and told me the problem and the cost. We worked out the details that night and I received a call the next morning with the date of instillation. Billie and Jalmal came out and were there for quite sometime but when they left, everything was working and the house was warm. They had also cleaned up after themselves. A few months later it was time to switch on the air conditioner and it didn’t work. I called and the next day George was out and had the unit up and running. There was no problem, it was just that they couldn’t know the issue with the AC in the middle of winter, but they were out immediately and took care of the matter. Not really sure I like the Nest thermostat but I am very pleased with the service of this company and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a fairly large residential project and received several bids. Ultimately, we chose Central Air H&C, and I could not be more pleased. The entire process was made easy with clear communication (Charlie), and excellent customer service (Katherine). Our installers, Billy and Deno replaced our two separate HVAC systems. This included relocating the new heat pumps, fitting the new air exchanges, furnaces, etc. You could tell they both took pride in there work, were very professional, and did a fantastic job! Both systems look perfect, operate as expected, and the job site was left spotless after completion. I am very pleased with the quality, efficiency, and noise level of the Ruud product. I have no problem recommending Central Air H&C based on my experience.

Finally, A fantastic company to do business with. I woke up at 6 AM with my thermostat set on 70 and it was 61° in my house. I called later that day and They were able to get to me same day within hours of my phone call. My technician Gordon White was the best. I got updates on my phone when he was showing up he was on time he was extremely professional courteous great sense of humor and he was able to show me things about my system some issues that no one else ever pointed out. He was able to save my old furnace and it is running better than it has ever run since I have been in my home nine years. Gordon is a true stand up gentleman and he never felt like a stranger. Felt like I had known him for years. Everything about my experience has been over the top top notch and I never say that about anything . The lady who works in the office was nice and as sweet as can be everything has been great. I will definitely be calling them back in the spring to go through my AC and get ready for this summer. Gordon came over several weeks ago when we had a problem with our heater that we have had for over 26 years. It is slowing dying. He suggested we might want to schedule a replacement for it so we don't need to as an emergency. I communicated back and forth with Gordon and their office Many times on brands and financing. (I also did my own research, which matched what he said.) He was always pleasant and took all the time I needed. I did schedule for new equipment. Separate review.

Called on Labor Day for service on 9/3. Gordon came by and had me back up and running in no time. He really took the time to explain what he found and answered any questions I had. I would definately recommend Central Air Heating and Cooling. I ended up getting a new unit installed on 5/29/2020. My unit was installed by Billy and Nick and they did a great job. The whole process took about 4 hours and when they where done everything was running perfectly. They also made sure the area they worked in was cleaned up. I also received a follow-up call from Gordon to make sure I was satisfied.

We recently switched from propane to natural gas. This required a new condensing unit, furnace and water heater. Central Air did it all and we could not have been any more pleased. Billy and Dino did the install. Very professional, did an awesome job and like I said we are very happy with their work. He soldered a likely joint in the copper line near the furnace, tested the system, and had my house cool later that day. The pricing seemed appropriate and his work was quick and professional. We had an air conditioner that was 36 years old. On Saturday morning of a holiday weekend, the unit died. We called Central Air Heating and Cooling for emergency service. To our surprise, Gordon showed up about an hour later and diagnosed the problem as a blown compressor. 100% Satisfied! Gorden came to my home to diagnose my furnace that was acting up (17 years old) instead of dumping more money in it, I asked for a quote to just replace my whole system, (the AC had acted up last summer and it was just getting old) Even though Gorden was not a salesman he quickly showed me all the different systems, and answered all my questions. Gorden really knows his stuff and is good at explaining everything. I told him I wanted a middle of the road system, that would be simple to operate and maintain, he didn't try to push me into a more expensive system. As far as the install, Billy and Nick were very professional and respectful. Their work was clean and neat, and lines were run neat and tidy. The unit performs as expected, and the Nest thermostat is a nice addition. I highly recommend Central Air Heating and Cooling, They are an asset to our community and very good at what they do.

What an amazing experience. They handled everything. The two installers who came out were incredible and took the time to show us everything we needed. The consultation was great and that guy was super knowledgeable and very friendly. It took about 4 hours to rip out my old internal fan hardware and my outdoor unit and install the new ones. My house has never been colder. They also completed the registration with Rheem for me and emailed me the certificate. Hands down, best AC/Heating service you can call. 3/27/2021 Update: Today was the first really warm day in St Louis. We got up to about 81 degrees. Knowing this in advance, I turned my air on for my dogs when we left for the day today. I checked the thermostat settings a few hours into my day on the Nest App and saw that the temperature inside my house was 80, despite the air being on. Alarmed, I headed back to my house to find out what the issue was, as I was concerned about my dogs. When I got home, the air coming out of my vents was hot, not cold. I checked the actual thermostat instead of the app on my phone, and sure enough the air conditioner was set and the thermostat believed it was on. Frantic, I called Central Air Heating and Cooling and spoke with Gordon. Let me tell you all- this guy knows his stuff. Based on my description, he pretty much knew what the issue was and walked me through fixing it over the phone, saving a service call and getting my air working right. The issue wasn't a bad install or a faulty unit. No, in this case, for whatever reason, the Nest thermostat reassigned one of the wires it connects to to toggle the heat on, instead of the AC. The AC worked perfectly last summer and the heat kept us warm all winter. But for whatever reason, Google's Nest thermostat changed something on its own. However, as I mentioned, Gordon saved the day. He walked me through the Nest settings and helped me reassign the wire to AC. I turned it on again after changing that setting and the unit began blasting cold air perfectly. Thank you Gordon! You are a life saver. And thank you to Central Air Heating and Cooling for supporting your installs, hiring great people and being reliable!

Took less than a week to get everything scheduled, inspected, and a new unit installed. Gordon, Billy, & Nick were very professional when discussing the job with me and made sure I always understood why something needed to be done. We ended up needing a whole new unit and they gave us precise information detailing which unit was best for us. I'll definitely be using them from now on for anything heating and cooling related. Edit: about 2 weeks after install, we got hit by a storm on a Sunday morning and it took our AC offline. As soon as we called on Sunday, Pat came over and got us fixed up in less than an hour. I called Central Air Heating & Cooling and after choosing sales and service the phone was answered by a live person. The repairman, Pat came out the same day. Diagnosed a bad motor and had to take it back to the shop to research for a model number (remember it is from 1979). I had a quote to repair it the next day. The quote was very reasonable and the news was delivered with a very subtle, no hard-sell suggestion of a new unit. I decided to get a new unit, partially because Steve and Charles made the whole process of service call, financing, ordering and scheduling seamless. I don’t think they even took a lunch break they just kept at it and got the old system out of our attic (thru a really small access hole) and the new one in and running (thru that same access hole) without so much as a scratch on a wall... they also went above and beyond by straightening up the condenser for our first floor unit - had nothing to do with what they were called out for but they noticed it looked bad and wanted it to look nice next to the new condenser they just put in. I seriously don’t think you’ll find another HVAC company that cares so much about what they do that they even pay attention to how nice the condensers look in the backyard! One thing that is great about them is that even when things are out of their control, they apologize and work hard to meet the needs of the customer. I was frustrated by how long it was taking them to fix our unit, but the problem was from the manufacturer because our parts were still under warranty. Although I'm frustrated by how often our mini split unit breaks, I will keep calling Central Air Heating and Cooling when we need it fixed.
