The company is great because they focus exclusively on Mitsubishi heat pumps. We decided to go the heat pump route on an older craftsman. We got multiple estimates and the range of proposed installations and estimates was vast. It was clear to us that many companies don’t know much about heat pumps. Progressive was both one of the less expensive bids and the most rationale. Our system was installed four years ago and we have not had any issues. Great local company that cares about what they do. Highly recommend.

We got quotes from a couple companies and went with Progressive because Suraj was super knowledgeable and professional but was also fair priced and even suggested a less expensive system. His team actually installed our system over a year ago so we’re now on our second winter and have had one summer with it. Both heating and cooling have been great and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Progressive. Highly recommend them to anyone!

I engaged Progressive Comfort Solutions after talking to several ductless heating/coollng contractors in the area. This company is by far the most professional one I contacted, with a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure the best possible design and installation experience. The system they installed has worked great for two years so far. It is comforting to know that if there is ever a problem, a team of experienced professionals are there to take care of any issues. I highly recommend them!

Suraj was really great to work with! We got a few quotes for a full ductless system and ended up going with Progressive because they were realistic on the timeline, their price was competitive, they had installed in multiple homes in our neighborhood and it didn't feel like they were trying to "sell" us. I would absolutely recommend working with them!!

Just got the work done. I was a bit worried about drilling into my walls during rainy season and WFH times. Everything was sealed well and the exterior wall (stucco) looks great. Everyone always wore booties, no damage to the flooring. They took extra care to avoid being loud while my wife and I were on conference calls, which I really appreciate. Specifics: I live in a house with an 18 year old existing ductless system. we wanted to replace it and add 2 more heads. I got about 4 quotes. Suraj from Progressive was as knowledgeable as the rep from Greenwood. Progressive was the only one willing to snake the new hoses alongside the existing routes. All the others wanted to do much more drilling on the inside and outside of the house. I love how they were willing to adapt to my project's needs. Conclusion: It's true, the quotes did take a week to arrive. That part doesn't really matter once you have that expectation. Overall, I highly recommend this company.

We chose to upgrade our heating to the ductless system, both to add AC and to eliminate our old gas furnace. This was driven by our goals to improve indoor air quality by not burning fossil fuels in our home and also adding the comfort of AC. Shiraj and his team did a great job of explaining the process and cons of the system and also the install process. I have no complaints about the installation. It's great having AC for our increasingly hotter summers. The heating during the recent cold snaps does sometimes require an additional space heater. We're still figuring this out. All in all, a great upgrade- especially with our new solar system!

We worked with Suraj to find a good solution for replacing our furnace. He was very pleasant to work with, steered us away from some upgrades that we didn't need, and did a great job of situating lines so that they were as unobtrusive as possible.

We decided to go with Suraj (Progressive Comfort Solutions) for the following reasons: He was unwilling to cut corners on the install (like some other installers we talked to). He's the owner and came out to do the estimate (other installers sent sales people). He was more knowledgeable about product maintenance (other installers gave us incorrect information on cleaning/filter replacement). He "right sized" the install. Another installer gave us a lower spec unit, and I'm happy we have the more powerful unit this winter. Our initial appointments went very well. Suraj was very responsive and communicative. He worked with us to get the install done quite quickly, even though he was concerned that parts might not arrive on time. The install looks very good. Much better than our neighbors. I had some issues with the way the electrical was run (quality of pipes and design of the channels on the house). I brought this up with Suraj. He agreed to fix and did not collect the final payment for our install until after the electrical work was done to our satisfaction. It took a while to get this work done (a few months). However, the system worked fine during this time and there was no hardship to us. There was a part of the electrical that I wanted different even after the fix, but it wasn't important enough do have it redone. To clarify I asked for seamless galvanized pipe and the electrician used plastic, fit-together pieces. The rest of the issues were resolved. We're about 8 months in and we're very happy with the heat pump install. Suraj estimated and charged more than some other bids we got, but I don't regret spending the extra money for the quality and service we got. I would recommend Progressive Comfort Solutions.

Suraj came out on extremely short notice on a Saturday on his vacation, no less! Talk about customer-centric. He was extremely knowledgeable. Progressive Comfort Solutions installed a six head unit in our house about 4 years ago and the system has been trouble free. We clean the filters every few months and perform no additional maintenance. The installation process was a breeze and Suraj was easy to work with. Suraj was very good at communicating and responding to us to set up a date and time. Once he came over, he showed us the proper way to use the system and make it more efficient. Suraj and his team installed our ductless heat pump systems almost 7 years ago now - it was such a good decision for us! They were so awesome, considerate and responsive during and after the work - I had just had a baby and was on maternity leave during the installation and what could have been a stressful time was made so much easier with their kindness and professionalism. Suraj and team installed our ductless heating and air conditioning system almost five years ago now. We had gotten other estimates from companies, but they were more expensive and suggested installing ugly pipes across the front of our home. Not only did Progressive find a novel and aesthetically-pleasing solution, but they offered a competitive price. Recently, during our snowstorm, we noticed that our system was having an issue. We emailed Suraj and he immediately texted back, joined us by FaceTime, and helped us solve the issue that night-- after hours. That's really remarkable service given that we did not have a maintenance contract and hadn't been in touch for almost 5 years.

Suraj and his team are one of a kind. My installation was a 5 unit mini-split. Never before has it felt so easy to have a crew of workers in and around my home for consecutive days. They are very respectful, lighthearted and hard working. Questions and concerns were addressed kindly and patiently. Follow-up responses on minor adjustments happened without delay. I would argue that the tagline "comfort with a conscience" actually also alludes perfectly to the way business is done at PCS - "with a conscience".

Suraj seemed great initially, re-arranging his schedule to come out to our house for an estimate the day after I called him (we're looking to go from oil to ductless electric). He promised an estimate 5 days later, but it's now been two weeks, two unanswered messages, two unreturned calls, and no estimate. Update: Suraj contacted me right after I left this review, and has already sent me an estimate.

Highly recommend: Not only is the Mitsubishi ductless mini-split heat very comfortable and consistent, it was a real pleasure to work with Suraj and his Progressive Comfort Solutions team. They were very attentive to our concerns and went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, even with a cramped crawl space and a convoluted attic space. We would gladly work with them again. I wrote a review several months ago (you can find it further down the line) about how friendly and helpful Progressive Comfort Solutions was even though they did not work on my brand of HVAC. I had said that if I ever needed a new unit, I would call them. Well, after speaking with the technician for my brand, it turns out I did, indeed, need a whole new system. Guess who I called? That's right! I put my money where my mouth was and hired Progressive Comfort Solutions to install. I called for heating service and Suraj got back to me promptly. After I shared my problem with him, it became clear he would not be able to service my heat pump as his company does not work on that particular brand. However, he spent several minutes with me on the phone walking me through how to locate a service company who may be able to help me, explained what he thought my issue might be so that I could provide the idea to the next repair person, and was incredibly helpful and kind. He devoted all of this attention to someone he would not even be able to do business with. If I ever need another system installed, I am calling Suraj because I know I'll get an excellent level of care!

PCS recently installed a single-zone Mitsubishi ductless system in our house. We were very particular with what we wanted in terms of function and aesthetics (both indoors and out) and PCS was extremely flexible and creative at coming up with solutions to meet our needs. The installation process was painless (actually enjoyable and educational!) and demonstrated a very high degree of craftsmanship and expertise. Bought a mini split system from them - great experience! Cheaper than the competition and didn’t try to upsell in rooms where it wasn’t really necessary. Units are solid - kept the house cool in the 2021 heat wave where it was 108 degrees outside, and handled the winter just fine too!

We needed to have a very old gas furnace replaced. Given the increase in very hot summer days in Seattle, plus the desire for something efficient and all electric, we went with a heat pump system. We got four bids, and Progressive seemed to offer the best package for us. We had a ducted unit installed to replace the gas-fired hot air furnace, connected to our existing hot air duct system. We also had a wall-mounted mini split ductless unit installed in a room in the basement not well served by the duct system. We have been happy with the result. On very cold mornings, this system does take longer to bring the house temperature up from the nighttime temp to the daytime thermostat setting, so we now have the thermostat set to 62° from 10 PM to 5:30 AM, then it goes up to 64 at 5:30, up to 66 at 6:30, and then up to 68° at 7:30 AM. Works for us!
