We’ve had Pearce do our system maintenance and repair for several years now, and had them install a new furnace and A/C unit a couple of years ago. The furnace was a replacement, A/C was brand-new. We were super happy with both, so we just had them come back and install a replacement for another furnace. The team is great - Clair is our main point of contact, and Tim and James have worked on the installations. We’re really happy with Pearce and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for A/C or heating installation, repair or maintenance.

I’m lucky to have come across Pearce Heating & A/C. They were able to come out the day I called, then proceeded to diagnose my issues and put together an estimate in less than an hour. Then they provided me a convenient way to sign off on the desired work options and got straight to scheduling. Once the team was at my house, they were super friendly and clear about what their plan was. Execution was flawless and my new system is running great! The gear they installed will be saving me about half of the energy and natural gas that the previous system was consuming. They were able to do all of this around Thanksgiving time and did a great job communicating available time to work.

Pearce were recommended by our regular furnace technician (he recommended a complete replacement vs. repairing every other year). From the initial consultation and communication with Clair to the installation project with Travis, James, and Jacob, the whole experience with Pearce was pleasant and instilled confidence in us that we chose the right company to install AC. Each team member was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They even helped us remove a small tree to make more room for the AC unit in the backyard! They also did additional work to fix our furnace so that it would be easier to change the filter and made sure everything was up to code. I would not hesitate to recommend Pearce for AC installation.

We had a complete loss of power on Wednesday, 11/23/2022 caused by a power surge from a PSE failed ground cable. Left us with burned out circuitry no heat in our furnace. On Monday, 11/28/2022 at 8:00 am I called Pearce Heating & AC and Claire Parker arrived at 9:00 am and diagnosed a burned out transformer and fan motor in our furnace. He was able to replace the transformer; but, had to locate a fan motor. He was able to replace our fan motor on Tuesday, 11/29/2022 at 3:30 pm and restored our heat. Overall service from Pearce Heating & AC was outstanding and Claire was exceptional. I would highly recommend both Pearce and Claire Parker for any future heating or air conditioning needs.

We have been using Pearce Heating & A/C since they installed our furnace ten years ago. When we came home from a vacation on the 23rd of December, we had a problem getting our furnace to come on. After trying a variety of things, we got it to fire up, but this did not last. By morning we had no heat, the furnace would not start. We contacted Pearce Heating, and they had a technician at our house in an hour and a half!! After testing, Clair the technician found we no longer had a working thermostat. Fortunately, Clair had a nice one in his truck, which he installed in no time and was on his way. Clair was also at our house for our furnace checkup in November. He is always congenial, and I find him very easy to work with. He gives me honest assessments of our system, so we don't get that big surprise when it's time for a maintenance upgrade.

We recently had Pearce replace our furnace and install central air conditioning. Even though we have used Pearce for years prior to this for servicing our heating and have been very pleased, we did our due diligence in talking with several heating companies since this was such a significant investment. When Pearce came to provide us an estimate, they spent time looking at the best way to install our new HVAC, including counting floor registers and returns and investigating our crawl space and our breaker panel. In contrast, other companies spent less than half the time that Pearce did and left us with the impression that they were paying nominal attention to the existing duct work and what a new installation could/should look like based on our concerns and questions. It took three days to install our our new furnace and central air. The Pearce installation team was professional, knowledgable, and thoughtful (shoe coverings every time they entered the house). Everything went exactly as they indicated it would from installation through the electrical and mechanical inspections by the city of Bellevue. In fact, both city inspectors indicated unsolicited that our furnace and ac installation was a top notch job and that they don't always see such professional work. Pearce charged us the amount indicated in our estimate. There were no last minute surprise charges even though their original plan for running our condensation line had to be altered a bit and a mal-functioning condenser pump caused an unforeseen installation challenge. Most importantly, the day our furnace was scheduled to be installed happened to end up being the coldest day and night of the year, to date, so the team double-timed the furnace installation to ensure we would not go without heat more than absolutely necessary. We could not be more pleased with our decision to go with Pearce. Not only has working with them given us considerable peace of mind around our HVAC investment, we get to support a local company that is bucking the trend of making the consumer pay more money for lower quality and poorer customer service.

My HVAC system had an elevated CO, Mr. Parker taught me a lot regarding how severe problems could happen if we don't stop the gas furnacing, even he offered the 2 portable heaters to help us with the low room temperature during the preparation of the parts. From the moment that I met with Travis and James today, they were very professional to explain what are the problems from my original HVAC in my garage, the new system was installed extremely nice and cleaned up after they were done, the whole experience was great and my home is getting warm again. Pearce has an easy scheduling service that works well via their phone line or through text messaging. I was able to get them for an emergency service on a holiday weekend and the technician could diagnose the issue quickly and solve. He was well equipped with the right parts based on my initial phone diagnosis (thankfully not having to wait for a second trip for parts). The shop charges a trip fee which includes a diagnosis. The trip or diagnosis fee is not applied to the fix.

I needed my 27 year old A/C replaced during August. It was important to get it done quickly because we have a baby in the home. Pearce was able to send someone out the next day, and Peter B. and TJ had my new Bryant 4 ton A/C unit up and running by 5PM the same day. My air filtering unit was also replaced, which required a bit of duct work. They explained every step and the work is very high quality. The entire team from Pearce Heating was outstanding throughout the process of getting a new furnace. Our furnace went down on Saturday with no hope to repair. Brian, the owner, got us a quote promptly on Monday which turned out to be better than the competitive quotes we received. He also arranged for the install on Thursday. Clair was our technician and was friendly and professional throughout the service call. He was very knowledgeable and straightforward with his diagnosis and explanation (wearing a mask and keeping distance too). We called the company in the morning and Clair arrived the same day in mid-afternoon. Very important with the furnace problem on a cold day. The office person was fast and polite too. Cost was reasonable. I was able to verify part cost online and the Pearce installation cost was reasonable too. Major note: other firms quoted a same day service call charge 3 TIMES the price of a "normal" service call - two weeks out. We came to Yelp and found Pearce. They were excellent.

If you're reading this review, I'm going to recommend that you stop your search and give Pearce Heating & A/C a call. Following last summer's heat wave, my wife and I finally committed to getting A/C installed at our home. From the first interaction with Claire, through successful installation, I can't say enough great things about our experience. Claire was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about his job. When it came time to install, we had the pleasure of having Travis and Sabastian work on getting the new A/C unit put in. Similarly, they were very knowledgeable, friendly, and overall amazing to work with. In particular, we appreciated their attention to detail and the care they took in their work. During the same timeframe, the crew also discovered that our furnace was operating at extremely dangerous levels and educated us on the reason for the issue. Ultimately, they encouraged us to replace the furnace. Given the pressing nature of the install, they were able to get a crew back out to our house the next day to successfully install the new unit. The customer service and care they had was simply amazing. Overall, it was an absolute pleasure to work with this team and I have no reservations about seeking their services in the future.

From the point of first contacting Pearce, to the team leaving after completing the installation of a new furnace system, everyone was very professional, responsive, and informative - addressing all our questions. Clair did an excellent job up front outlining our replacement options and brainstorming various ideas to address a few tricky challenges the installation crew might face. He always kept us informed at every stage (when we could expect his quote to arrive, when he would be able to confirm parts availability or installation scheduling, etc.). What really came through was a strong desire to have us as their customer and doing whatever they could to ensure we would receive an installation of the highest quality. The installation team (Mike, James, Travis & Pete) were right on time and Clair came to introduce us to the team. Within 5 minutes of evaluating the current setup and reviewing the install challenges, Mike outlined his overall plan with the team and everyone dove right in. I was impressed by how well everyone worked as a team and the level of care, craftmanship and pride they took to ensure everything was done just right (including correcting multiple issues with the original furnace installation 20 years prior). After completing the installation, Travis walked me through all operations, warranties, and the list of post install actions items, which Pearce would take care of on our behalf, etc. We were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend Pearce.

I had Pearce Heating & A/C install A/C in my house back in early June 2021. I enjoyed working with Brian, the owner. The installation went very well. Mike, Pete and Travis showed up on time both days and finished up just before the heat of the afternoon on the second day. A great time to try out my new equipment. They all did a terrific job. No mess, no fuss and the price was right. They also had to address some (minor) "code" issues with my existing gas furnace, at no extra charge. My house has been nice and cool all Summer. Got AC and new furnace from Pearce. From quote to installation everything was perfect. Bill from Pearce provided the quote. My old furnace had some duct work which was making installation of AC coil difficult. Most of the other companies said no, but Bill was confident he would get it right. At this time of the year, everyone was giving dates for 3-4 months out, but Bill got the installation done within a week after I accepted the quote. Entire Pearce crew was super professional and did great work.

Pearce has an excellent team, competitive prices, and professional service. I've been relying on Pearce Heating for yearly maintenance since I bought my house in Woodinville. Once they pointed out that our 20-year-old furnace was finally on its last legs (cracks were forming), I priced out a new furnace and was pleased to see that Pearce was also competitive for new installs. They installed a new Bryant furnace. With only a little convincing, I also had them install the furnace as A/C-ready, since that could heavily reduce labor charges for installing A/C down the line. Several years later and the heavy heatwaves in WA State have convinced me to have Pearce install A/C early next year (the earliest they could, due to the surge in demand). Sure enough, the price differential of the furnace being A/C-ready will likely save us thousands in labor and parts (the parts have more than doubled in price given demand and pandemic shortages!). I'm very glad they had presented me the option of making the furnace ready for A/C, since I'd have never thought of it myself at the time. We recently did have some issues with the furnace (several parts were going bad: the pressure switch and the power switch). For both cases, Pearce's responses to our calls were exceptionally swift; they were out to inspect and repair within an hour each time! Since the furnace was still fairly new and the parts were all under warranty, the service itself was free of charge, as well. Overall, I'm very happy that we chose Pearce Heating for our maintenance, furnace install, and A/C install. I especially appreciate the excellent services provided by Bill and Claire and the reception/dispatch team including Allison and Sandra (apologies if I got anyone's name wrong).

I learned about Pearce Heating & A/C through solid five star reviews on my Nextdoor site. I called them initially to do an annual maintenance check on my furnace. I knew the furnace was nearing the point where it was going to need to be replaced and when the time came I also decided to install A/C as well. I called Pearce. Clair led me through the ins and outs of heat pump options vs A/C. He provided a detailed cost estimate, discussed equipment options and what installation would entail timewise. My installation team was headed by Mike with Diego, Travis and Pete assisting. It went faster than expected, communication about install details was great and they made sure everything worked. Mike took time to walk me through the new equipment in terms of how to change the furnace filter and how often, shut off valves, and things to note in terms of normal operations. They explained the inspections that needed to be done and that they would help me schedule them. They left the work area cleaner than when they started. The final price was exactly what the original estimate had been. Their customer service is 5 star. I cannot recommend them highly enough! Great company!

I had my furnace replaced and a new A/C installed, along with a new thermostat. Clair, Tim and the rest of the team did a great job and kept me informed every step of the way. The new furnace is nice and quiet - the old one was a monster that roared every time it turned on. The new thermostat has wireless sensors, so we can be comfortable wherever we are in the house. Greatly appreciate the customer service provided by Pearce Heating and A/C. They recently installed central A/C at our house and it was an excellent experience. Claire, our sales technician, was very thorough in walking through the install options for the new A/C. My furnace went out on a Saturday night. I called Pearce Heating on Sunday and they had a technician at my house by Sunday afternoon. As I suspected, the furnace needed to be replaced. The tech left me with two space heaters to keep me comfortable until Tuesday when a new furnace could be installed. Pearce Heating and A/C installed a new Bryant Air Conditioner, added duct work for an air return on the second floor, and ran duct work to supply additional cool air to the upstairs. This completely solved the problem of an overheated upstairs during hot summer days and smokey fall days. Brian, the owner, was knowledgable and provided an excellent plan and a very reasonable cost proposal. I was also very impressed with the installation crew (Mike and Pete). Pearce heating did a full system install (AC as well as Furnace) around September 2020. They also added a new air return to my upstairs and reconfigured my supply ducts in my crawl space so that I can push more air upstairs. I am more than happy with the work they did at my home; The house is much more comfortable while using heating and cooling. Brian, Tim, and the crew were respectful, on time, and fun to interact with whenever I had any questions. They worked for around a week and completed all the tasks with due diligence. We felt the need to replace a sixteen year old furnace with a new one, after the old one was showing signs of wear and tear. We entertained three different bids, and chose Pearce based on referrals, reviews, pricing, locale, and commitment to making us a very happy customer of theirs. Our 30+ year old furnace stopped working 2 weeks before Christmas. We were given 3 recommended contractors by Puget Sound Energy. We contacted all three to schedule a repair or replacement. Only Pearce responded that day and scheduled a visit that day to inspect the furnace. Clair inspected and said he would try to find parts, but due to its age he was concerned parts were no longer available. In the meantime he provided replacement estimates that gave us three different options. The next day he called saying the part needed was in fact no longer available, and where he had looked for it, so a replacement was the only viable solution. He clearly discussed the pros and cons of each quoted option and suggested the least expensive. Given the holidays we were sensitive to when the work could be done. Pearson applied for the permit with the city and they scheduled a crew for 9:00 am the next say. Tim and James arrived just before 9:00 am, wearing masks and distancing appropriately. They informed us what they would be doing and said they would be done between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. During the removal and installation they were fairly quiet and we heard no foul language. At about 4:45 Tim told me they were done and after the cleanup they would be gone. This is a small local business that provides excellent service with a sensitivity to timing and integrity. We are very pleased with the entire experience we had with Pearce Heating during a high stress situation and highly recommend their work to anyone who wants someone they can trust.

On Saturday morning a few weeks ago, I woke up to a cold house. I poured my coffee anyway and sat down to look at my phone and catch up on the news. But when my wife got up, she wanted some answers! I checked the thermostat, and it was properly set at 68 degrees, but our house was only 62 degrees. I could hear the furnace running so I was confused about why it was so cold. After watching the furnace run for a few minutes, I could tell that something wasn’t right. The furnace was short cycling (shutting off before reaching the programmed temperature and then turning on again). Why do these things always happen on weekends? I called the “Big Corporate” heating company that installed our furnace 16-years ago. They said that they could put me on a wait list for a weekend service call and that the fee would be $295 just to show up, plus a diagnostic fee and repair costs for time and materials. I then remembered meeting Brian from Pearce Heating and A/C at a house that one of my real estate clients was purchasing so I gave them a call. They answered right away and said that they could be out the same day and that the fee was $169, and I said “great!”. Bill showed up in the afternoon and we looked at the furnace together. I had turned it off and when he re-started it was functioning properly. Bill said that when the power is shut off, the circuit board resets itself. He checked the error codes, and they didn’t make sense, but then he pulled out the filter and we noticed that it was wet – not good. Bill said that the secondary heat exchanger was leaking water (this is a high-efficiency gas furnace that creates condensation) that was draining onto the electronics and that the furnace would need to be replaced. He told me that the normal life expectancy for this type of furnace is 14 years, so at 16 years of age it had already outlived its service life. Bill immediately started making calls and was able to find a comparable unit in Kirkland. He thought they might be able to install it as soon as Monday, for which I was very grateful. He quoted me a price that was the same as “Big Corporate” heating company had quoted me two years ago when they came out to service the unit. We survived the rest of the weekend with space heaters and our gas fireplace and Bill emailed me on Sunday evening informing me that they would be out Monday morning at 8:30 AM to install the new furnace. Good service, right? It only gets better. The installation technicians that showed up Monday morning, Travis and Sebastian, were incredible. Not only were they happy and polite (when’s the last time you’ve seen service people act like that?), but they were very communicative and highly skilled. I checked in with them throughout the day and they explained what they were doing and they also showing me things that were done incorrectly the last time. Later in the day, my service tech Bill, and the owner Brian, stopped by to check on the job. Wow I couldn’t believe it. What incredible service! Travis and Sebastian fixed everything that was wrong with the previous installation and did a fabulous job installing our new furnace. They also installed a new filter compartment in which standard size filters would fit so now I can buyer filters at my local hardware store for $10 each instead of having to order custom sized filters from “Big Corporate” heating company for $46 each. Writing that check to Pearce Heating was the easiest thing I’d done in a long time. What a great value! Pearce Heating and A/C is now my HVAC company of choice, and I will be referring them to all my real estate clients.

For us the true test was when our furnace went down two winters ago on a frigid Friday night. I requested a semi-annual service/safety check on my seventeen year old heating/air condition system. A technician came the next day to check the both the equipment and the installation. Upon completion he reviewed his report with me and explained that although the system was nearing the end of its normal life expectancy, it was for the most part performing very well and would likely make it through this season and perhaps well into next year. After reviewing his cost estimate, I decided that the replacement cost was only going to go up and there was no real savings to be gained by putting off the replacement. We scheduled the work to begin as soon as possible and his crew arrived at the agreed upon time. They went right to work and to my amazement the equipment was installed and functional in about eight hours. The finishing touches were completed the next day, including a number of unexpected items such as the repair of the existing leaking condensation drain piping, an override switch to allow the makeup air fan to be turned on/off manually and installation of a new electrical outlet at the location of the exterior a/c condenser unit to facilitate future servicing. When all was completed the final invoice was for the exact amount of the original estimate. The work crew was very professional, efficient, courteous and considerate. They cleaned up after themselves leaving things looking better than when they arrived. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We'd been nursing along a 30+ year old furnace and did not want to take the chance that it would last another winter. After getting a recommendation for Pearce, we called and Brian came out within a couple of weeks to give us a quote. We accepted what I think was a competitive quote, especially given the state of the economy/supply chain etc. Brian then called and fit us into a time slot that opened up on short notice. I have to say, several of the "bigger" HVAC outfits in the area were incredibly unresponsive and it felt like pulling teeth just to get quotes. Bill came to do a yearly check on my A/C and heater. I bought my home several months ago, so these units were new to me. Bill is knowledgeable and free to offer me information about my units and how to care for them. He was thorough and efficient in his examination. I asked him about a “mystery” buzzing in my closet that was on the other side of the heater wall. I wasn’t sure if it was caused by the heater. Bill investigated and found it was a transformer in the crawl space under the closet. It was a simple, quick fix to stop the transformer buzzing and I am thrilled to not be bothered by this mystery noise anymore. Bill took good care of my appliances and went above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely continue with Pearce Heating & A/C to maintain my appliances.

I went by the guidelines offered by HVAC.com in what to look for in hiring the best HVAC company/technician because if they don't do the installation correctly, the equipment won't perform as expected. The owner, Brian Pearce, was so much more knowledgeable and thorough than the other salesmen. Unlike the others (one who gave me a bid after spending 15 minutes looking at my current equipment), Brian spent at least an hour explaining everything to my satisfaction. Our AC unit died in July post-heat wave, and we called Pearce to come out and take a look. Because of how busy the market was, the first available date to get the unit replaced was a month out, but the team went way above and beyond once the installation appointment came. While the entire installation was scheduled for three days, Mike and the team worked hard to get the new unit up and running on that first day. This was a lifesaver, because it was 95+ degrees that day, and around 90 inside the house. After the work was all done, there was a minor electrical issue due to some weird wiring decisions by the previous owners, but again the team came out and quickly resolved everything. Highly recommend Pearce for any of the services they provide.

After looking and getting quotes from a few different companies, I settled on Pearce Heating & A/C for getting my furnace replaces, with new a/c and water heater installation. Since then I have also been using them to do the servicing of the a/c and furnace (2 yrs now). Highlights: - Did not try to push for more expensive equipment if not needed for the home (this was a big plus as a few companies kept forcing me to upgrade) - On time, clear about communications and providing updates. Finished on time. - Clean and organized work. At the end of all the installation the garage was clean, the installations were well done. - Competitive pricing. - For servicing, they actually sent me details of the filters I could by myself (amazon/homedepot) if I wanted to change them on my own or buy it from them if I wanted to. - In my case there was a rebate from the energy company and also the old furnace had cashback from the company on being returned. They handled both of them (and the checks were mailed to me so I could see that they were not trying to take a cut on that).

Wow. Brian and his crew are amazing. This is the second time I've had him install AC and a furnace. in 2003 he did all the ducting, gas, and HVAC for our home addition and remodel. His bid was competitive and his work was outstanding. He can back multiple times to add ducts and make sure everything was perfect. He never tried to upsell me but rather talked me out of some expensive ideas I had. I regretted it when I didn't listen to him. Last week my heat failed and it was cold. It was time to replace the system. It was Saturday and most places were closed. I didn't realize Brian was still in business. I called, they answered right away, and Brian came out on Monday! By the middle of the day I had a bid. He had an install crew out on Tuesday. Heat was working end of day Tuesday and everything, including AC, was finished end of day Wednesday. This was crazy fast and his bid was fair and competitive. I don't think I've ever had anything major fail and get fixed that fast! The whole crew was super nice. The office staff always answered the phone or email and was friendly. They arranged the permits and scheduled city inspections around my schedule. Response time was excellent. Tim and James did the install. They were nice, polite, friendly, and hardworking. They are the kind of guys I would enjoy working with on a daily basis. The knew what they were doing and were efficient. I was impressed with the quality of workmanship. Wires were tucked in and organized, even behind the covers. The vents were straight and sealed. Everything was done perfectly - certainly better than I could do it! They cleaned up and even raked the ground around the AC unit. As a surprise, they painted a special cover I had that diverted air - it was rusted and they painted in a nice black. I didn't even ask! Brian came out and inspected everything and made sure it all worked. They left the job site clean and with everything working. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brian and his team. I've tried some of the others for companies for maintenance and have at least four different bids over the years. I would pick Brian again - no need to even get another bid.
