*We have a (new to me) boiler whole house system and have been using NW Mechanical now for 2 years, they are without a doubt experts at taking care of our heating system. I signed up for the yearly maintenance program for peace of mind and we have them out once a year to proactively maintain and test things. Running tip top and their techs are SUPER knowledgeable. Great outfit!

NW Mechanical is our go to place forever. We’ve used them before and they are very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and reasonable in their pricing. Aaron was our boiler expert. He was amazing he installed and fixed our problem and even instructed me on how to adjust the flow on some of our old radiators. I would highly recommend!

Just had a heat pump installed, replacing our gas furnace in a very old home. They were great from start to finish. Informative estimate, including what options were available and which they would recommend, and the work happened right on the schedule they set up. The installer, Brendan, was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job adapting our old forced air system to the new heat pump. Kept the place clean, and kept us informed. They also represent Mitsubishi heat pumps, which are very quiet inside and outside. We're happy, and recommend these folks for this type of work.

NW Mechanical is an outstanding company that has serviced my heating needs for a number of years and recently upgraded my oil burning furnace. They also fixed/repaired my pipes when our remodel guys messed up the install. Ally in Dispatch/Scheduling is great to work with and Steve Miller and his team are outstanding. Steve recently completed our annual service and was arrived with mask, gloves and made sure we maintained our social distancing. He represents himself and his company with professionalism and fantastic customer service.

I had purchased this new home and the previous owners gave excellent reviews for Northwest Mechanical, so of course I reached out to them for my regular maintenance. Kyle was super helpful, as he walked me through the boiler system and he even had much of the history associated with this installation having done regularly scheduled maintenance in the past. I was reassuring to have that level of history and knowledge of the unit. Kyle even installed a new thermostat up in the kitchen which I hadn't noticed had stopped working. Overall, this has been an excellent investment in our home, which is heated by radiant heating throughout... I'm on their maintenance schedule, which offers discounts if you're in it for the long run... which we are! -Darryl

We've been satisfied customers for years. Recently installed a new boiler system which is keeping us toasty in the cold weather. The yearly maintenance plan has kept us in hot water (in the good way!) and without major incidents for 15 years now. So nice to know that our system is in good hands.

Chris came to inspect our 30 year old boiler and thermostats. We had been having a heat fluctuating issue. He was very informative and showed me the batteries that are in the thermostat that I had no idea were there. Of course they were dead after 30 years but they kept the connection between the thermostat and the boiler and were calling for heat even after the desired temperature was reached. New batteries and we are back in business. We will have Chris come in a month and do a full boiler inspection and update. We were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Pricing was reasonable also.

I have a 13-year old Triangle Tube radiant floor heating system and a 2-year old Mitsubishi ducted mini-split system installed by NW Mechanical. NW Mechanical has provided the last two maintenance service on the radiant system while this was the first on the mini-split system. Like my earlier experiences with NW, this second experience was excellent. Steve arrived on time and practiced social distancing while wearing a mask. We discussed one problem I was having which he solved immediately. He then proceeded to work through both systems for a detailed inspection and service. Any issues were discuss in great detail and all my questions were answered thoroughly. He was prepared with all the necessary parts where changeouts were needed. I expect to be a long-term customer and highly recommend NW Mechanical for new or replacement installations and maintenance.

NW Mechanical recently installed a new Hot Water Heater and a new Heat Pump for us. The technicians were very knowledgeable, arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They answered any questions, explained what they were doing and what the equipment should do and the results we should expect. They were correct, we have been very happy with the performance of both. Kyle was prompt, professional, friendly and on time. He was thorough and quickly diagnosed the problem with my on-demand hot water system ( for hot water and radiant heat). He clearly explained what had happened and what needed to be done to resolve the issue. He also detected a natural gas leak in the heat exchange unit, which saved us from potential disaster. When I elected to replace the system Kyle rearranged his schedule so that he could perform the replacement. He was concerned that we had no hot water or heating, so he wanted to perform the replacement without delay.

Our technician was great, explained some things about our boiler system we didn't know. We were ready to hear we needed a new boiler, but our tech just did a heroic cleanout job (we didn't know it was supposed to be cleaned every couple of years--it was gross) and left us with a reasonable bill and a safe unit. We've been using NW Mechanical for years to service our boiler/hot water tank system. I tried finding a cheaper company a few years ago. The first one I called never showed. The second one sent someone who didn't know how our system worked and tried to sell me stuff I didn't need. NW Mechanical has considerate (they always take their shoes off), friendly technicians who are experts in their field. They don't oversell, arrive on time, and are pleasures to have in your house.

Kyle was professional in appearance, including a mask prompt to the appointment and proceeded to share his knowledge and experience with our problem. He was respectful and answered any question sincerely. He absolute was there to serve, not sell something un-needed. In the end we decides our problem was under control, and Kyle said, “ if this was my house, I wouldn’t do a thing to this system.” I would definitely recommend NWM and Kyle to anyone needing a bid for heating.

So grateful for this company! We purchased a new home from AKA Builders in Seattle, owned by Alicia Arsene. They never pulled a permit for the boiler, and we had numerous issues with it for months on end, resulting in a very cold winter. Turns out the issues were due to improper installation, which resulted in safety concerns as well. NW Mechanical diagnosed the issues, re-piped the system, installed the correct safety features, programmed the unit correctly, and finally got us up and running 10 months after we moved in. They were fast and efficient. It only took them about 4 hours to get us all fixed up. We had the builder out here more than 10 times over that time period with no results. The City of Seattle is now inspecting the other homes that AKA built without permits. Hopefully their boilers are properly installed before safety problems arise. Apparently this builder has built over 40 homes without pulling the permits and installing the boilers correctly. Lesson learned: Ask for copies of the permits and final inspections from the Builder when purchasing your home. If they refuse to comply, it may mean certain permits were never pulled and installations never checked, even though the home passed a Final building inspection. Anyway, NW Mechanical was professional, prompt, courteous, and did a great job. The inspector came out and passed everything off while they were still here. Grateful to finally have a safe system in place . . . what a relief!

Michelle at NW mechanical saved me!!!! I had such an unfortunate situation where I was not able to service one of my customers and I called NW and they were able to get out same day!!!! They went above and beyond coordinate a tech who had to work late on a Friday! Rachel in accounting was amazing and reminded me to use my resale permit since they were a sub! Duh! This company has it together!!! Thank you!!!

Since we are not using our heatpump intensively I feel that the maintenance work does not need to be done on an annual basis but maybe every 2 years. Hopefully this is acceptable to you.
