Had an AC installed. Great experience. The sales guy who came to our house talked us through the pros and cons of several models. We got two other quotes, and this was the best price. Crew arrived on time , completed the work, and cleaned up thoroughly.

Outstanding service! Black Lion does what they say they will do, which may be rare these days! In Dec 2021, Black Lion installed a new HVAC system for us. Unfortunately, the new system did not warm our house adequately. When it was cold outside, our indoor temps did not get above the lower- or mid-60s. Black Lion was extremely diligent about sending service techs out to analyze the situation and even sending manufacturer's reps out to provide their expertise. By summer 2022, Black Lion determined that the manufacturer had over-promised and under-delivered on this new unit -- a problem that's not unusual. What Black Lion did next was unusual, in my book: They volunteered to replace the entire system with a better one, at no cost. They did not scrimp in any way, replacing everything including the thermostat. Throughout this process, their communications were professional, their service techs were diligent, and now we have a new HVAC system that works the way it should. Kudos to Black Lion and sales mgr Jamie Khorrami for providing superb service and delivering what you'd expect when you buy a new HVAC system.

I just had my heat pump installed by Black Lion in July 2022. I initially had contacted them 2 yrs ago, but it was a bit much at the time. After Covid, I contacted Black Lion again and their quote was same as pre covid while others ask for about 15% more. Adam provided a quote for best option for us which was Bryant 224. This is a popular slim model, but we wanted one grade up. Adam had to back order our model 226 and had to wait 4 months for that. But it was worth the wait. The install team arrived early and the install job was smooth and clean. I was working from home without much noise. They finished by 3 and set the perfect temperature and left. I am very pleased with the work so far and would strongly recommend them.

When I decided I wanted to get a mini split system for my townhome, I got three quotes. Reps from 3 different companies came to my house. Of the 3, Jamie from Black Lion was by FAR the most appealing. He was warm and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. The other reps kept trying to upsell me and were disparaging of other companies which was a huge turnoff for me. Jamie was able to beat the other quotes with even better equipment and an install the next day! The crew that came over for the install was incredible. I didn't catch all of their names but Kevin and Renzo were both really sweet and friendly. They did the work faster than expected which was great (I thought they might need to come back a second day) and I could tell the work was done really well. I am so so so pleased with the work and with Black Lion in general. Jamie is incredibly responsive to messages and I have recommended him and Black Lion to several friends already. The company was understaffed for a long time, hence the previous comments about difficulty with communication. This is NOT something I experienced. In fact, I asked Jamie about it and he was totally open about it being something they had discussed as a team and were working to improve. I am so glad I chose Black Lion for this service and I will definitely continue to sing their praises!

I've been a customer for years. They installed an AC unit, humidifier, and have provided annual service. Lately they don't pick up their phone or return messages at all. It's very puzzling given that they had such a great reputation for the longest time. I hope everyone there is okay.

Black Lion installed an AC system on the upstairs circuit of our place about 5 years ago. Their team did a great job with that. We also installed some humidifiers at that same time to keep control of humidity, also great install and doing their job well. Over those five years we've had a few issues we needed help with, including a bad contactor in the Trane XR unit they installed, and called for help on the verge of a Seattle heat wave and Nick, Service manager, was out personally within hours to fix. While I recognize that is not their normal practice, after I explained that we have a heat-sensitive elder in our home and they made us a priority on a Saturday. Cannot ask for more in a company that stands up for their products and service and willing to take special circumstances into consideration. Thank you Nick!

If you want to get your AC installed or any HVAC work, work with Charlie Lightsey from Blacklion. Goes way above and beyond for top notch customer experience. I had my HVAC system installed by Black lion in March 2022. Their installation was good. There were few glitches during inspection but they promptly fixed those. However, right before the heat wave, my system started conking out. No tech of Black Lion was available for next couple weeks. That's when my sales rep, Charlie, stepped up, rolled his sleeves and fixed the problem all by himself. This is possibly the best customer service I have got.

These folks under-bid everyone else by a significant amount. Many of the local AC installers have wait lists that are months long. They were able to get to us much more quickly than everyone else. Although we were not in a hurry on the install, the work was performed quickly after we signed the bid, even though I'd had to wait a few months to get other bids in before making our decision. They answered my questions quickly and completely.

He showed eagerness to win our business and price matched his quote and services. The installation crew were also careful and did a thorough job. The city inspector said that the installation was done perfectly. Black Lion did install my Bryant Furnace in 2013 which included a 10 year parts & labor warranty. I am well aware of the Supply Chain problems. My furnace died in Sept.. Black Lion did not have a replacement part. I was told the part was on backorder until the end of October. I waited until the first week of November to inquire about the part. I was told, they would check & let me know that afternoon. I never heard back that day. I did call again for status, left a message, but no call back. If the date has slid, I can understand that, but to ignore a customer's phone calls is customer service suicide if you want to stay in business. Come on guys, call me & let me know what is going-on with my furnace part! I am using 2 space heaters & a cauldron of water simmering on the stove.

Joey and Cole did awesome job installing new water heater and new furnace! They came on time, did careful measurement, and finished the job quickly. They provided me concrete and helpful suggestions when I wanted to add new vent in the bedroom. They also helped me install Nest Thermostats while I was out for food. The only thing is they really shouldn't skip lunch for their hard work :) Jamie also deserves an applause. He provided lots of advice when he came to get an estimate and he explained in very much details about different systems.

I feel very confident that the installation was done properly and they took time to go over details and answered questions we had , but what made me feel good was warranty that Black Lion Heating provides for a low fee annually to maintain my new Bryant air conditioning unit after initial 1st year no cost service. Jason came out and evaluated our current heating system, took the time to explain all of our options and provided us with several different furnace/heat pump options. Lynai, in the office was great to work with, she coordinated all of the payment details with our lender and was able to get our installation promptly scheduled. I had Black Lion install a new AC unit last year and they were great. I got five bids and while they were not the lowest they were very professional, arrived on time and finished in one day. They did a great job. I bought the annual maintenance plan and they've come out twice since. They checked the furnace last fall and the AC unit this spring. They were not pushy when they advised me the motor in my furnace needed to be replaced. I'm going to have Black Lion replace it. I would highly recommend Black Lion.

When we bought this furnace it was the model that runs at 90% efficiency. It is a Bryant. We also bought the annual service package. For the second year in a row we have had the same technician. He is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, helpful and willing to take the time to help us understand how this furnace works and how the electronics of our thermostat interface with it. I would recommend this company to anyone. We feel confident that i in the unlikely event any issues arise with the future they will be responded to promptly and effectively.

Global warming is a reality and even in Seattle we decided this year to install Central AC in our Bellevue home. After meeting 4 companies Black lion proved to be the best on paper, then it was confirmed by a seamless installation, with a crew that did everything to make me happy (including a more tricky path for the electrical part of the job so the front of the house would be preserved, at no extra cost). We now signed a maintenance contract with them and yesterday was the first visit. As the rest it was perfect. A special mention to the admin team who is also pleasant to work with and efficient. Couldn't be more happy.

Our experience getting a new furnace and AC from Black Lion was great! Greg came out to do our onsite estimate, he was on time and quick, walking me through our options and leaving me with some booklets highlighting some key differences between the units. I did have to wait a little while to get my quotes, but that was because they had just rolled over to a new software and they were on Day 1 of using it, so I'm not going to fault him for that. When I called asking for the quotes, I received them soon after, and they were very reasonably priced! He also called me to walk through the details of the quote, to confirm if I had any questions. We got our furnace and AC in early March, and there were a lot of discounts applied as it was off-season, so the price was extremely competitive. We were also offered an option to do a 6-month no interest finance plan, which is always a plus. The install was also easy and painless. They were able to come out less than a week after I signed the contract, on the day that I requested. The work took a while (probably 5 hours total) as they were removing a 44 year old furnace, and bringing the entire space up to code. The installation team was very friendly, and as promised there was no smoking onsite, and the team was very polite and professional. They performed the work efficiently and even assisted us in making a good choice on where to place our AC. Black Lion's head office also handled all of the paperwork with getting a permit for the AC, and also handled the PSE rebate on our behalf. It really helped alleviate some of the frustrating painpoints of making modifications to your home. So far we have really enjoyed our furnace and AC and have had no issues with either. They are both green models that have low environmental impact, so I feel good about our purchase!

Great service! I called over the holiday weekend and an actual human picked up and scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Monday. Most places were 2 weeks out. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained what was happening and showed me the part that was damaged, replaced it with a new one and he was done within 45 min. He then gave me some advice on him I as the homeowner could take better care of the furnace.

Black Lion overhauled and replaced an efficient and basic furnace with a complete variable speed heat pump, furnace, and air filter. The system had to fit in a very tight mechanical room in an occupied home. The crew did a great job fabricating and installing all of the equipment. And, the new thermostat and configuration were much more involved to program. There was also a lot of follow up to get things tweaked and keep us happy. The crew did a fantastic job and we are very pleased!

I recently had an AC installed in our full-sun house. This job included an extension of ductwork for a garage to living-space (office) type of conversion. Our salesman Jason Smith was very thorough and explained his perspective on what made sense for us and what didn't given our house's unique design and our personal goals. The install team was great very efficient. Price-wise, they came in a little higher than the competition; however, I'm confident that they did a good job installing the AC and did a good job running the duct-work -- even in the ridiculously hot weather we had the day they came (some attic duct extension work was involved, plus running the line-sets). I had a second call out today to seal up some spots that had air leaks. The Service Technician, Scott who came out is very knowledgeable on HVAC and had been out to our house back in 2016. He double checked the work that was done and re-tested the pressures for the system. I'm very pleased with the team at Black Lion and the work they performed. 5/5 would recommend.

Nick was great! He showed up on time and was extremely helpful and honest. I had booked the appointment because I purchased a smart thermostat that needed four wires (I only have two). Nick mentioned the thermostat I had was one he often replaced or had issues. So, instead he installed a programmable thermostat he had on hand and it didn’t require new wiring. First they checked my gas fireplace and got it working again and then found a cracked burner in my furnace resulting it needing to be replaced last year. The current service was for my thermostat which was not functioning properly and Everett came by to reprogram it. He is excellent and also answered another question I had regarding the best option for efficiency with my furnace and thermostat. I could not recommend Black Lion more highly. They are awesome! All were responsive and professional. We appreciated that Jason wasn't just a salesman, but does actual installs as well. He was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good information. We received several quotes from different companies and Black Lion offered the best equipment at the best price for what we were looking for. They passed along manufacturer rebates as well as the Sno Co PUD rebates which made for very competitive pricing. Adis and Jake are true professionals, friendly informative and decent guys. They replaced my horrific 50s electrical panel with something that won't burn my house down and let me know all the options and kept me informed all the way. Adis came round first and gave the overview whilst helping me with a few other things that needed tweaking and Jake installed the panel. Work was clean and done efficiently for a very competitive price. Ive used Black lion over the years for a few other things like a complete HVAV gut and reinstall with new AC, again for a very competitive price and also regular HVAC services. Since buying our 1922 Craftsman house, I've used Black Lion a few times in the span of a couple of months. They are great to deal with from the initial scheduling appointment to the final installation. I had them install a new AC unit, and from that experience I learned that they have a separate electrical division. Therefore, I hired them to fix electrical issues created by a different electrical company. Matt and Jacob of Black Lion were top notch. To me it's the little things that make the difference... when they came out to inspect the house in order to provide a quote, they actually changed some burnt-out light bulbs at my back deck area that were never replaced prior to us taking ownership of our house. It was that attention to detail and customer service approach that sets this company apart. Recently, I had them fix our furnace (installed by another company). They ordered the parts and completed the job quickly before the cold season hits us. All in all, I highly recommend Black Lion and we continue to share their information with anyone asking for HVAC and Electrical recommendations on the West Seattle Blog and Mom's Page.

Our creaky old gas furnace gave up the ghost, so I found Black Lion on Angie’s List. I called, explained the problem, and a courteous woman set an appointment for the next morning for an inspection. The tech was on time, pleasant, and we set an appointment for the next morning to install a new furnace and thermostat. The installers, Darrius and Jacob, were quiet and efficient. I bought a water heater from Black Lion last year, found them on Angie’s List. Just had the first annual maintenance that comes with the original water heater package. Both the installation and service were on time and done professionally. The service guy Mark took time to explain potential problems with our furnace and best pratices for maintaining the furnace and water heater. We purchased their annual maintenance as a result. Their price wasn’t the lowest but it seems fair to pay a little premium for the quality.

I requested trouble shooting services through email and had almost immediate response from Kirsten at Black lion indicating that she could have someone out that same day. The technician Jeff arrived at the appointed time, evaluated the furnace, establish to my satisfaction that the furnace was in very poor condition. Jeff prepared a proposal on the spot for a New furnace, contacted his installation supervisor and was able to make arrangements for the installation of the new furnace the following morning. The following morning Jesse arrived with the new furnace and single handed he completed the work by 11 AM that same day. These three people that I worked with at Black lion more than exceeded my customer service expectations. They were all knowledgeable and helpful. I have mixed reviews so I would give half of 5 stars because we have had fine experience with just repairs however Last Week we had a new furnace installed and smelled smells for 5 days before we agreed this was more than just new furnace smell- I called PSE and the guy came to see the installer did NOT tighten a bolt causing a gas leak smell. We were not expecting that from a new furnace install! I called and left feedback with the business the day after PSE came. It is imparative people should check over their work so we will choose another company next time.

We used BL for a new A/C unit last year. Yesterday, we woke up to a cold house and broken furnace. I was a little panicked because in the winter, it can take a while to get someone out for a repair. I called BL and they called me back in just a few minutes and had a technician, JJ, out in a couple of hours! There was a part that needed replacing, and he let us know it would be a few days. This was particularly troublesome because we have an infant and a 2 yr old and the house temp was dropping by 1 degree each hour, a few days would be impossible! JJ spring into action and went and picked up the part himself that night, and came back the next morning between service calls to get us all squared away. Without him we would have probably had to go to a hotel, which would have been super inconvenient with our two little ones, not to mention expensive! I had a new Rheem gas furnace, A/C, and Honeywell air cleaner installed in our house in July 2008. After some initial issues that the HVAC contractor, a Rheem representative, seemed to resolve, all was OK until December 2012 when we had trouble keeping the furnace operating. It would shut off and not re-start. Repairs seemed to work until December 2013 - January 2014 when more repairs & adjustments were made. 2015 was trouble free but the same issues occurred again December 2016 - January 2017. The original installation contractor could not seem to determine the reason for all this. Obviously the contractor was frustrated, but so was I, losing heat over several years in the dead of winter. It got to the point that the installer would no longer call me back. Slugging through most of 2017, I called Black Lion HVAC to service the furnace in mid October. On 10/30/17 Everett Powers serviced the furnace, performing more functions than the Rheem contractor ever did. I brought Everett up to speed with the previous problems. To make a long story short, Everett needed to come out several more times through 11/16/17, including bringing Brad Stoddard, Black Lion Service Manger with him on the 16th. I discovered through their trouble shooting of the system that there were issues with the original installation. Worse yet, several "work arounds" were performed by the Rheem contractor trying to "force" the system to function. One of them was dangerous, bypassing a factory installed safety device that could have resulted in emitting CO gas or even a fire. Everett & Brad made a number of system changes, most importantly bringing the furnace back to Rheem specs. Water damage from improper initial installation will probably adversly affect the life expectancy of the furnace. A lot of that could have been avoided if the installation contractor would have told me they could not determine the problem; I would have called Black Lion a long time ago. So far so good with the changes made by Everett and Brad that will hopefully give me a little more service life. Not only do I appreciate the prompt service from Black Lion, Everett and Brad really are trying to help me extend the furnace life. They were both sympathetic with what had happened to me. When the time comes to replace this system, Black Lion will get my business with new Bryant equipment.

But, I feel I was over charged. $92.00 for diagnosis was very reasonable, but I was charged $346 for a replacement pressure switch. I found the exact switch online anywhere from $25 to $50. Total ripoff! I think $200-$250 would have been a reasonable price for an hour's worth of work. I was charged close to $500.

I have had the opportunity to have Black Lion Heating and AC work on my furnace and my AC. My AC unit died and the beginning of the Fall season, I contacted Black Lion knowing from my previous visit and maintenance. I was scheduled for Friday morning 1st am appt.. I met Kyle their technician, he did his isolation test and found a bad capacitor, a bad fan motor, plus the outdoor unit needed cleaning, he proceeded to make repairs and ran into issues. Because my Lennox unit is about 26 years old I never had trouble with this unit prior to this break down, he had a problem removing the bad parts, and being Lennox doesn't offer inter changeable parts he had to order them from Lennox, so he made temp repairs. Part showed up the following week and of course it start cooling off so I didn't use the AC at all. Kyle showed up on the the following week and replaced all the bad parts, washed and cleaned the unit and it was better than before, house got cold really quick. I learned that no matter how.much you can take care.of.your equipment, age will always take over. I highly recommend Black Lion Heating and AC, on a scale from 1 to 10, I give them a10. Black Lion came out to replace the furnace and add central air to my house recently. This required a lot of extra work, such as adding a return up through the interior of the house and attic and rerouting some water and gas pipes. The quality of the worksmanship was excellent. For example, they had to run a new return through the floor in the back of the closet, and the gap between the pipe and the hole they cut is minuscule, and they were able to seal it with flashing. The carpet around it even sits flush with the edge of the pipe. I was expecting to have to do a bunch of work afterward to make it look nice, but it looks great.
