I had Tyler from Whipple come and do a furnace tune up. He went through everything on our furnace and gave us a full diagnostic on everything. It was well explained and provided different options for maintenance based on what was discovered during the review. Many companies try to force additional services afterward, but that didn't happen. They told me what they recommend doing and gave me pricing options if I wanted to proceed with them. Loved the non-pushy approach! He also set up an appointment for us for someone to come look at AC for our home as well. Great experience with them, knowledgeable and professional!

They took care to ensure the home stayed clean even in the face of a wet snowstorm. They also praised their employer, which you don’t often hear these days. It’s nice to see a company that treats its employees well and invests in their training and development.

We got a thermal expansion tank leak over our water heater over the weekend and we decided to try out Whipple for the repair because we saw an ad for them. They came the next day after we called and gave a call when they were 30 minutes out from arrival. They were knowledgeable, fast and professional. I enjoyed their friendliness too. Jay Canfield has great customer service and professionalism. The new expansion tank came with a 2 year warranty. We are happy customers. We recommend Whipple and plan to use them in the future.

Frank came out on the 4th of July to assess our AC issues. On July 5th, we had a new HVAC system! The following week, the duct cleaning techs discovered a serious problem with the aging water heater. Today we have a new water heater. Whipple technicians are conscientious and knowledgeable. The products and services are fairly priced. I can't speak highly enough of this company!!

Jason and Mac were thorough in their inspection, and in explaining the issues my air conditioning/heating system was having. Gave me options on repairs and replacement. They helped me make the best of decision for my situation. My inspection was late at night. They wore shoe covers which was appreciated. They were able to get the parts the very next day and repair it quickly. Everything was cleaned up when they were finished. I appreciate their help and will be recommending them to anyone needing help with their furnace/air conditioner.

They were fast, efficient, professional and above all provided amazing service. These 2 guys were incredible and I highly recommend them on the job. They cared for my home, cleaned up and took any trash out, made sure I was comfortable and extremely personable. Whipple hit this one out of the park again.

This began with a clogged bathroom sink. My house is 92 years old, so I wasn’t surprised when Danny told me some pipes needed to be replaced. Replacements went from under the sink down into the basement. Kevin happened to come yesterday, too, to flush my water heater. He and Danny both noticed that the drain to my main sewer line was corroded and clogged. So Danny ended up also replacing the P trap (I think that’s what it’s called) and augured the corroded pipe as well as he could to buy me some more time before I eventually have that whole pipe replacement job done. The little job turned into a big one, but it all needed to be done. Danny was amazing! He worked from about 8:30 am to 7:00 pm yesterday, then worked about 4 more hours today to get the job done. My old house kept throwing surprises at him, especially as he worked to remove and replace the old pipe under the sink, but he persisted until he was successful. Danny is personable, smart, skilled, detail-oriented, and continuously kept me in the loop about what was happening. I’m so grateful that he came to do the needed work.

It was time for my furnace tune-up. The technician, Sony Soto, was easy to work with, courteous, and respected my time. The work was completed as expected. He needed to return the following day to install a part. He had the autonomy to schedule the return appointment himself; I didn't need to call the main office or wait a week. He came back early the next morning and completed the work. The dispatch personnel are also very responsive and easy to work with. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the service I received. One extra note on this. Sony is the second technician I've worked with at Whipple and neither tech tried to add on products or services I didn't need under the guise of "I'll just do a quick inspection of your water pressure" or another similar excuse to walk around my home looking for potential "problems" they "should" fix. Whipple is still a business and services are offered but I didn't feel like I was an "upsell opportunity" in either visit. That is one of the main reasons this is a 5 star rating.

I had a great experience with Whipple Service Champions. My air conditioner and furnace needed to be replaced and it was on my to do list. Well, my air conditioner stopped on a 100 degree day! Whipple sent Clayton to do a prompt professional evaluation and I now have state of the art cooling and heating system. I couldn’t be more pleased! The company notified me of who would be doing the initial bid and then who the tech would be. I appreciated the pictures so I knew who was coming to do the work. Andy and Alex did a great job with the install. They were professional, knowledgeable and patiently walked me through my new heating and cooling system. Excellent service! Tyler came out and serviced my hvac system. Turns out the furnace was shot after nine years and needed to be replaced. Toli and Justin came out the next day and installed a brand new furnace abd ac unit. They did an amazing job and I couldn’t be happier!

I set up a online appointment at six in the morning and they arrived at My home around 8. Max was our technician and I explained my kitchen drain problem and then looked at my plumbing and gave me several options. One was to snake the drain. And then he said they could send someone out to send a camera down free of charge to see what condition the pipe was to the main drain so I said yes let’s do it. Within the hour Dylan showed up with the camera he didn’t get very far into the pipe and showed me how bad it was. So max ended up replacing a section under the concrete and to my upstairs kitchen. He did all this in one day. Both max and Dylan was not only fast but they kept me informed though out the whole process from payment options and the options they could do fix the problem . They are highly experienced in what they do and they really care. I would highly recommend Whipple plumbing for all your plumbing needs. Thank you max and Dylan for being upfront and honest. You guys are the best! We also had had our fresh water pipes done and are technician was Sam and since it was a bigger job he had some help Phillip and Roderick they spent time here replacing all the galvanized pipes from 1957. They also did a amazing job for us and made sure we had water each night before they left.they spent some later nights to make sure of that. They cleaned up every night and made sure not to leave a mess they also kept us informed on how the progress was going.I’m so glad we had the pipes done not only for the worry of one bursting but the fact that our water taste’s a lot better we are not drinking rusty water. I really highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs!

Our technicians, Stewart D and Ceol R took great care of our electrical needs. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. This was our first experience with Whipple and now we will use them again for sure! In fact, we signed up as members of their club program. The Whipple plumber came by today as part of the club plan and fixed an annoying water draining sound that was driving us craze. Dalton R listened very carefully and fixed just what was needed. He had the parts on the truck, did the repair right then, and solved our issues. Highly recommend.

I had to get some shoddy electrical work fixed on our sump pump and switch. Stephen came over to take a look and answered a few additional questions I had with our electrical system. He was amazing to work with! He was very professional and helpful through the whole situation. He kept in contact and was very responsive. Stephen later returned with his brother Michael and got everything fixed. I have peace of mind going into the Spring that our sump pump is ready to keep our basement dry. I called as my furnace was shutting off shortly after turning on, and turning it off and on worked the day before, but not this morning. I called Whipple as my dad had a good experience with them recently, and they were able to get a tech out to my house within about an hour, they quickly diagnosed a sensor issue (which I suspected) and were able to replace it, and get our heat back on quickly. Their tech, Chance, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, and even let me watch, and explained several things as he worked on the furnace. Will definitely use Whipple again in the future!

Bill did a superb job - very professional, informed me of all the work performed and let me know when there was a particular item that needed replaced by showing me the voltage test that was outside of the normal range. He estimated all costs ahead of time, cleaned up all the work spaces and was very respectful of me and my home in the process. Thanks, Whipple and Bill for another great 5-star experience!!

They assured me that this is not the type of experience I should expect and apologized for the interaction. They mentioned there is no policy that would prohibit the tech from telling me what part I need and that they would have liked him to be more transparent. I do feel their concern about the situation is genuine. They have also refunded the $27 diagnostic fee and offered to tune up our furnace. I am choosing to change my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star as I do appreciate their efforts but the initial interaction, in my opinion, is still worth noting. However, I'm looking forward to our furnace tune up. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** Our A/C went out during last week's heat wave and I called Whipple around 9 AM. We weren't given any estimate on time other than "today". I called back around 2 PM and they let me know they're open until 8 PM so it would be sometime around 8 PM. I was told I would receive a call from the technician 30 minutes prior to their arrival. That evening it was 85 degrees in the house so we left around 5 to get dinner and escape the heat. We received a call from our technician at 6 PM and he stated he was just down the street and would be there in 5 minutes. I told the technician we would need about 15-20 minutes to get home but that our back yard was accessible and he was okay to check the unit if he arrived before us. He seemed a bit put out by this. We arrived home 20 minutes later and he told us he had already diagnosed the problem. Our capacitor had gone bad and would need to be replaced. The tech stated he didn't have the exact part but he could "daisy chain" two capacitors together to get it working that night and the cost would be nearly $400. He then stated that we should upgrade the motor to extend the life of our A/C unit and that would be $700~. I didn't try to negotiate the price, I simply let him know that $400~ was too much money to replace the capacitor but I would pay the $27 diagnostic charge. He seemed to become defensive and mentioned that I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the "2 year parts and labor warranty". Meanwhile, my brother had called me and told me I could buy a capacitor from a wholesale supplier in town but he wanted to know what size the capacitor was to verify if they had it in stock. I asked the the technician what size I needed and he said "Well I COULD tell you..." (mind you he had told me when giving the price quote but was not willing to tell me again when I told him I would not be using their services). Determining what part I needed myself was as simple as loosening two screws to pull the side panel off. I determined the type of capacitor I needed and found it was $22.75 wholesale. I completely understand that these types of businesses need to make money and that I can expect to pay more for the parts and labor. However, I felt that paying nearly 20x the cost of the part for a 15~ minute job is exorbitant (I'm assuming with this price quote I would be paying for two marked up capacitors so they could be "daisy chained"). It seemed it was more of a priority to up-sell us on a new motor than to get our A/C running in 100 degree weather. I felt the technician put us in a bad spot by not giving us the 30 minutes notice prior to arriving and I thought it was extremely petty when he refused to tell me what part I needed after learning I would only pay the $27 diagnostic fee. In the end, I paid the $27 diagnostic fee + booked my family into a hotel for the night for $120 + installed the $22.75 part myself the next morning and still saved $230~.

He was the absolute best and one of the most thorough, friendly, and kind people to grace our threshold. He helped me to fix an immediate issue with a condensation line routed incorrectly and told me what to do in the future, if need be. He was thorough and made sure he checked all possible sources. Once it was determined that the water was coming from the hvac system, he set up an appointment for that team to come out to check the system. He did not charge Barbara for his services! Great service!

Mike Taylor was an absolute rock star. He took several hours of deliberate troubleshooting to find a leak. He helped move appliances and furniture to get to all the areas needing investigation. He was deliberate in making every effort to limit damage needed to access piping. When it was all done he cleanup up everything and put things back that had been moved. He did this all over two days, on a weekend, and smiled the whole time. Top this with a quick dispatch team and constant notifications. Whipple has consistently impressed with their service and Mike was even able to the high expectations they have set for themselves. I won’t hesitate to call them for all our future needs!

Our water heater went out and had a big puddle Andriette. Luckily, it was under warranty and they came out and replaced it the same day. However, the first plumber (who will remain unnamed) reconnected our hot water recirculating pump to circulate cold water instead of hot water to our distant bathroom. So then it took minutes for the hot water to reach our shower as opposed to the mere seconds that we enjoyed previously. So Sam came out to fix the previous plumbers mistake. Sam was awesome! Super kind, very knowledgeable, worked quickly and efficiently and communicated well and saved Whipple from getting a bad review. Thanks Sam!!!

When trying to get an estimate to replace a toilet, the dispatcher wouldn't even give me a ballpark estimate on how much I should expect. He would also only give me a window of 8am to 4pm for the technician to arrive with a 30 minute notification. Luckily I didn't have plans that day or it would have been extremely inconvenient to rush home in 30 minutes or less. I had the toilet on hand so I wasn't purchasing a new one, just a straight replacement on a ground floor bathroom. The Technician showed up, was very nice, courteous, and professional, so no problems at all with him. He was great. Then came the quote... even with me supplying the toilet, the company pricing to replace the toilet was over $550 and to change out the guts in the tank would be another $450+. I understand that plumbers need to have a livable wage, but since no parts were being purchased, that's $500 an hour if it took 2 hours to do. But it's a toilet and not a very technical repair, so I can't imagine it would take the Tech more than one hour as that's how long it normally takes me, who knows very little about plumbing. Instead I still had to pay the service charge for the 5 minutes the Tech was there. I feel that I could have been given a general estimate to save us both some time and had been given a smaller window of when the Technician was to be expected. Don't expect to have my business or anyone that asks me until you make some more accommodating changes and lower your prices to something more reasonable.

Called a couple of drain cleaning companies in St. George UT, and Whipple / All Pro was the first to respond. I had All Pro do plumbing work before with very good results. This time Koren and Devon came out and dealt with a difficult fat build up in our drains. They had to try several pieces of equipment and approaches in dealing with a small pipe diameter, but they worked until the problem was solved. Then they cleaned up the work site / kitchen, and explained steps we could take to limit the problem in the future. The price was very reasonable for the time involved. We were very pleased and highly recommend the company and both servicemen.

Ricardo came out to give us a second opinion on a major repair that had been quoted by another plumber. He went above and beyond to come out the same day on the weekend to address our issues. Once he scoped our sewer line he was able to confirm that in fact the repairs that were quoted were not needed. The other plumber had mislead us almost into an over $20k fix that was not necessary. The pipe does need a little a attention but it is not urgent nor to the extent the other plumber had quoted. We would definitely recommend not only going with Whipple but ask for Ricardo. In a hard time he was able to bring an honest work order that saved us a life changing amount of money. You don’t know how much this meant with the current circumstances we are in. Thank you so much Ricardo!

The team was awesome! Koren did a fantastic job installing our new sink faucet and bidet. They also did a water heater flush and repair which saved us from a potential disaster and replacement. We are so happy they have finally come to ST George. We have been members for years up north. The monthly membership service has saved us so much through prevention services alone. One can buy the hose and tips on Amazon for around $50 that attaches to your pressure washer relatively easy. If Whipple could lower their price to around $200 for this service I think they would clean up as most would do that without hesitation.

I will save you all time and money right now and tell you to just call Whipple! Our ac went out first week it got hot in summer. Most the other companies were booked out a week just for an estimate then another couple weeks for an install. Ask for Frank! Frank came out right away, gave us a very fair and upfront quote. The other companies were much more with hidden fees and interest. Then we expected to sit in the heat for a few weeks til they could install.. wrong! They came next day and got us taken care of. They had to cut out some of our cieling to add new vents, they had a company come and patch it up like new too!! I'm telling you, you WONT find anyone better, value for your money, Customer service, quality, and timely mannered like these guys. They also did an amazing job on our duct cleaning and warranty parts AND labor for 10 years!

He cleared a bathroom drain that was slow and ran a camera through the house sewer pipe to the street and found a major problem. He thoroughly explained the problem so that I understood the issue. He called Mike to bring a more powerful camera. Mike ran his camera clear out to the city sewer system. He identified a “belly” that is retaining water and sewage and is impeding free flow to the city system. I have been very impressed with the service representatives who’ve come to our house and the work they’ve done for us.

Bill - The tech who answered our call, diagnosed our problems and took many, many photos of our issues. With incredible detail he painstakingly explained every detail and was more than patient with my myriads of questions, addressing them all. Our next decisions got us to …. Josh - the salesman/planner came out within 30 minutes. He took measurements of our house and drew up plans for the purchase of new Furnace and AC units. He presented us with 3 solid options. Each option addressed distinct issues pertaining to our home and our life style with all dynamics covered by each option. He was wonderful and made our choice an easy one. Our choice got us two great, hardworking individuals …. Todd & Jay - the installers showed up within approx 1 hour with the new equipment we had chosen. Todd & Jay put their heads down and started working, didn’t stop until cleanup was done. Pretty sure they left it cleaner than when they arrived, thank you for that! They then spent time with us introducing us to the new equipment and showing us how it was all performing, right down to teaching us about our new thermostat. Amazingly. we went from an old, dilapidated, poorly installed, dead HVAC system last night to a brand new one, fully operational in approx 8 hrs. I whole heartedly recommend ‘Whipple’. We are pleased beyond words. Thanks Whipple!

Updated review since work was completed. Work crew – 5 Stars! Dispatch/scheduling/coordinator - 2 Stars Porter, Bruce, Aaron H, Chase Chris S, Thomas, Max, Ricardo. All of the crew that worked at my house were amazing. They were professional, kept me informed of what was going on, and came to me when any decisions needed to be made or problems arose. It wasn’t an easy job and there were plenty if issue that kept coming up. They handled each issue before moving on to the next part of the job. They worked around my needs at the home and made me feel comfortable bringing questions to them. Dispatch did not keep me up to date or inform me of changes. On the day the project was to start, staff members called in sick. Totally understandable and something out of their control. However me sitting at home missing working waiting for a work crew, not understandable. They should have called at any point that morning and let me know what was going on and that things would have to be changed. Even when I called in to clarify what was happening, I was told I had the wrong start date and that they would call me back. They did not call back, I had to return the phone again to check in. After a very frustrating phone call they told me they would not be coming out and I should not wait for them anymore that day. The follow up from someone in the office after this interaction even took a few more days. At this point someone had already reached out to me from the work crew to explain and help patch things up. Ricardo went out of his way to make sure I was happy and taken care of. Overall Whipple is great and fixed my plumbing issues but there phone system and scheduling leaves much to be desired from a customer service stand point.

They diagnosed the problem in less than 15 min, and recommended a to change gfci that was "malfunctioning" and charged me close to $400 for the job that took less than 30 min in total (from the moment they showed up to my doorstep). I felt that this was an abuse and overcharge of the situation. Would not recommend working with them. Update review: I received a call from the company the next day asking the details of what had happened. They seemed that they genuinely cared about the experienced I had. They then reviewed the time frame and the work that was actually done and realized that I was truly overcharged. The reason was that the techs were new to their system and added an additional charge. They removed it immediately, making the actual change more reasonable for the work done. I’m impressed with how quick they responded to my concerns.

I love Whipple, they’re always available when we need them either same day or next day, we got their membership and as a old house homeowner it’s definitely has been worth it and has paid for itself countless of times. Ceol & Austin M came to help out with some electrical work and helped remove a recall item in my breaker, treated my home like it was family living there and did his best to inform us on the dangers of recalled electrical items in the home, prior to that we got an inspection with Stewart D and he was amazing as well! he reached out to me a week after to see if we wanted to go through with a panel that was way out of budget which he was understanding and wasn’t pushing us or made us feel forced or any salesman type of vibe. Bill came out to fix a motor that went out on our furnace and made sure we got out heater back to running in less then an hour and his boss come out and check on his work so I felt well taken cared of. Tim M came and replaced our water heater and communicated us not having water or hot water, also helped us out apply for Ally to pay for it, he was great got the job done professionally and in a timely manner. We definitely don’t plan on going with anyone else or other company, since every technician that comes to our house is just spot on amazing. Also shout out to Malik & Justin S, who have come out our home as well, you won’t regret calling Whipple for any home repairs, their employees are amazing.

I would Not use Whipple Services and especially do not sign up for their club member program. They misrepresent what club membership offers and then do not provide the service they claim club membership offers. I signed up in February and in the spring requested a service check on my air conditioning unit. It took me 2 months to get an appointment and then they canceled the day they were to come. That weekend my AC went out on me and now I was one of the emergencies they said they had to cover when they canceled my appointment. When I called this fall to get my heater unit checked under the club member plan I was told that I had it done in February and therefore didn't get another seasonal check unless I signed up again for the plan. This place is dishonest, misleading, misrepresent their services and slow to adequately support a program you pay additional for. I highly recommend Not using this company for any services!!!!

When our hot water heater stopped working today, we called Whipple, who had installed it a couple of years ago, at about 5:30. Thankfully, they were able to get a technician out this evening. JR called us at 6:00 to let us know that he would be at our home at around 6:30. He arrived, as promised, at 6:30. He was very polite and friendly and even memorized our dogs’ names! At about 6:50, he came back up to tell us that the water heater was back on and working. Turns out our son had put some furnace filters over the vent, which caused the water heater to shut off. He removed the filters and even swept up a few dust bunnies that had accumulated in the room. He took photos of everything he did and explained what had happened. It was truly a pleasure to have him in our home and we would be happy to have him return for any future repairs or maintenance.

Furnace stopped working. They had a technician to my house within a couple of hours. His name was Derek. Before he bagan anything he introduced himself asked if he could come in the home and before he arrived I had a picture of him so we knew who to expect. Before any of the work started he went through a detailed process of what he was going to do so there was no confusion. I agreed that he may proceed with his work. He was personal and knowledgeable and after he diagnosed the problem we agreed to have him do some basic maintenance that would get our furnace to heat our house up. Now the thing is, the furnace is old and at the end of its life, so great news, we have heat. But, also due to the builder not building our system correctly we are short a couple of return vents. We only have one return for 2,000 sq ft. Derek explained the benefits of having a new more efficient system designed and installed. For reference, I’m a contractor and I agree that sometimes these systems can be poorly installed. Because the furnace has cost us so much for the last 7 years we have owned the house, we have decided to replace it. Derek set up an appointment with a comfort consultant who will be here in 2 days to measure and prep everything for installation. Consults be more thrilled with the service and professionalism of Derek. If you are looking for a company that will take the necessary time to walk you through the ins and outs of all of the potential options these guys can help. Oh and also, not everyone will do this, but Derek called his install manager to double check a few peculiar things with our home and our system and essentially put a second set of eyes on the situation to make sure he hasn’t overlooked anything. So, long and short of it, we are thus far pleased and I’ll be sure to update if we move forward with Whipple to complete the new furnace install. Thanks Derek.

They just did my annual furnace tune-up which is "free" with my $20/month club membership, and to replace my furnace humidifier medium (a 5 min job and an $11 part at Lowes) they charged me an extra $125! That's allegedly after a "service club discount" too. Feels like the "free" furnace tune-ups are just a ploy to sell you extra services and charge for exorbitant prices for anything. The tech also "recommended" that I have my HVAC vents cleaned, at a cost of $1000! Ridiculous.

We had Whipple inspect a system we had installed a few years ago that just hasn't preformed up to expectations. Gene showed up on time and when be felt needed he got more people another tech to come help and then the field supervisor. They were very professional in thier evaluation of another companies work. They high lighted what needed to be done to fix the problem. Not once did they just try to sell something else.

On New Years Day 2023 my heater stopped working. I called a few places but no one answered their phone and I could only leave a message. I did get through to one company who wanted $299.00 just to come to my house due to the holiday. I called Whipple Service Champions and they answered right away. I spoke with Alex, a female. She said even though it was a holiday their fee to come out was only $27.00. They were able to dispatch a technician within a few hours. The tech seemed to believe my thermostat was broke and he replaced it but my heater still wouldn't work. He did some troubleshooting and after three hours got it to work. I didn't notice until after he left that the thermostat was not equivalent to my old thermostat that I had asked for because he only had two thermostats in his truck so had to have them come back. They replaced it straight across to the thermostat I had originally asked for with no extra cost. I also got an estimate on a whole new HVAC from them. All in all the entire team and all those I spoke with were really great. They aim to please and their technicians are awesome. I would like to give a special shout out to the two technicians, Gene Shelley and Taki Taoho for their expert knowledge and performance and to Daniel who gave me an honest and reasonable bid on a whole new system and had a hand in helping me get the type of thermostat I originally asked for. Every single person at Whipple did exactly what they said they would do and I am a happy customer. I recommend them for all your plumbing and HVAC needs. THANK YOU WHIPPLE!

He showed us the defect and explained everything. He installed a surge protector for our home and we are very satisfied and highly recommend him! We needed to have all of our electrical outlets and switches checked. James was the technician who came out, installed a new ceiling fan and then did the house inspection.
