After receiving several quotes from other places we decided to get one from My Buddy the Plumber, they went through our system like none of the other guys had. They had excellent recommendations about moving our vent to prevent hair build up and expanding the size of both our intakes. Our house is breathing way better than it ever has now. They recommended a quieter furnace and we’re loving it. Korey and Kasey were informative and went above and beyond with the installation and fixing things that our roofers missed, and clearing dog hair out of the intakes. They were pleasant to be around and had no troubles working around the professional cleaners that were working at the same time. Would recommend this company to friends and family. My buddy the plumber heating & air from the beginning to the end of our AC adventure were extremely helpful and reliable. Larry kept us from wasting $700 for a band aid fix on our 18 year old AC unit and instead suggested having Shawn come out and talk about our replacement options. Shawn gave us multiple options and was able to have someone out as soon as two days later. Ryan and Chandler did a amazing job replacing our AC and furnace. Both made sure that everything was done to a T, and that any questions were answered. Id highly recommend this company to anyone and will definitely be using them in the future.

My Buddy was great! Shawn and Taylor was very nice and so helpful and knowledgeable about what my heater needed and the Best options as what i could do .. to either repair it or replace my unit! Casey and Korey (brothers) came out to install a brand new furnace and condensing unit for us. They were extremely friendly and very informative from the time they came, until many hours later when they finished. They were professional and very helpful. They worked hard all day to ensure that our new system was installed correctly and safely. We are very appreciative that we were taken care of so well.

Please be careful with using My Buddy for Air Conditioning Maintenance. The technician (Holland) they sent for routine maintenance arrived with my AC unit working, then ended up breaking wires in our unit, then re-wired the system incorrectly, then asserted that the air fan was now broken, and then left us with a broken AC unit, as a new motor would not be available for one week! I was very upset, and I called a different company to inspect my AC unit. That new, very competent, technician wrote the below. "I found the air conditioner inoperable. Customer advised he has been in the heat for several days because the last tech left his equipment inoperable and left. The owner had some concerns the system had been damaged by a previous company. The owner advised the equipment was running when the previous company arrived and not when they left. I found several screws littered across the walkway. These screws were not replaced into the refrigerant panel and the side of the air conditioner. The capacitor was the wrong size, and the capacitor was not wired correctly. The refrigerant ports did not have caps. I found oil present and the liquid line schrader port leaking." The new technician from the other company fixed the many problems created by Holland from My Buddy. I will be calling My Buddy today to explain the situation, including presenting them with the bill for repairing my AC unit by the other company, given the damage that My Buddy caused to my unit. UPDATE: The manager Vance was supposed to come out to meet with me on August 15th but did not show up. I still cannot explain why the liquid line schrader port was left leaking by Holland, thus evaporating the refrigerant. UPDATE #2: after posting this review, I got a call to have Vance come out, and he showed up this time. We had a good discussion about what happened, and I ended up settling with MyBuddy covering half the cost of the repair. Although the AC unit was working with no problems prior to Holland from MyBuddy touching it, the unit is 16 years old, so I acknowledge that the unit might have been developing problems, despite being given a clear bill of health one year ago during maintenance also by MyBuddy. So, My Buddy did come out and make reparations for what happened, as the fan motor broke again a few days after the first repair by the other company and then had to be replaced, along with the other things already described. Given this, I changed my star rating from a one to three stars. We have used MyBuddy for plumbing needs in the past, with excellent, albeit very expensive, service. Given that I am not an expert in plumbing or HVAC, it is very difficult to judge whether what we paid for the plumbing repairs was over-priced or not, so I recommend getting second opinions anyway on any work needing to be performed.

Our AC has been struggling since the weather went hot. We contacted My Buddy, they can out and gave us an estimate. Will and Tony came today and worked on our AC System. They were a great team. Figured out what needed to be done and got to work. They were amazing. Answered any questions we had and made sure we knew how to manage the new system that they installed. Will totally use them again for future issues! And would recommend them highly to anyone who asks for a great HVAC Guy!

I am so thankful that Preston was able to come out in a timely manner this evening! Are home was having heat issues and wouldn’t turn on, it’s 30 outside and incredibly cold so our house was losing heat quickly! Preston got here and found the issue right away and not only did he fix the issue QUICK, he went above and beyond to find out that there was more issues with our furnace that was causing the system to turn on and off and not keep its desired temperature, because he decided to go above and beyond he completely helped us out more than he knows! Love My Buddy! They’ve been flexible, personal, and quick to respond every time I’ve needed them. They’ve gone beyond expectations to make sure I am well-cared for. They replaced my water main line last summer, and did a furnace tune up just barely. Edit to add: several months later and they did an AC tuneup as well. Professional service. Mark even walked me through proper maintenance of the AC unit so we can keep it working in top shape. Love these guys.

I've had 2 great experiences with My Buddy the Plumber. They installed a new water heater for me 2 years ago on the same day I called them. And today Holland came out and diagnosed and figured out that I had a clogged drain hose that kept my condenser pump running constantly. He unclogged the hose and tuned up my furnace in about an hour. Holland was on time, professional and very friendly. He took the time to explain to me what he was doing as well as offering my a yearly contract so I can keep up on my AC tune up and next years furnace tune up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend My Buddy to anyone I know!

We wanted our furnace checked due to some strange noises. We called My Buddy the Plumber in the AM and they were able to send a tech over by 1 PM. Holland, was our heating tech and he did a great job in diagnosing the issue. He gave us a through explanation and told us our options. He also checked for CO2 and gave us an overall sense of security regarding how much life is left in our furnace. I would highly recommend this company and Holland. he was very professional, wore shoe covers and was very friendly to our dog!

I would highly recommend My Buddy the Plumber. After having an issue with my A/C unit My Buddy sent two different technicians to try and figure out what the problem was. The second technician Pete was extremely knowable and caring he was able to quickly pinpoint to problem. I ended up with a new A/C and Furnace. Shawn their salesman came out to explain my options and ended up staying 1 1/2hrs just talking. He was fantastic. Korey and Ismael came out to install my new furnace and A/C unit and did a great job. Great experience with My Buddy. Holland was amazing! He was on time, identified the problem immediately, we ended up needing to replace a part and he rushed over to the supply store before they closed to pick it up and came back and installed it and the whole thing was done in an hour. Since it was a Saturday I didn’t know if we could even get anyone out to fix it but My Buddy was super responsive, they sent Holland out and he went above and beyond making sure the rest of the vents in the house were open to avoid any future issues.

We arrived home after a work day in January to a chilly house. We soon realized that the furnace wasn’t working and hadn’t been warming the house throughout the day. We called around to get quotes and My Buddy The Plumber was very responsive and upfront with prices and scheduling. They sent Preston soon after. Preston called us before arriving to our house to let us know he would be there soon. He was very kind and was able to fix our furnace on the spot. He was patient with us and helped us understand the problem and gave us information for upkeep and dates of when parts should be replaced.

Our furnace stopped working in the evening and I called around a couple of places, but they said they didn't have anyone available and we were worried about the pipes freezing since it's happened before. We finally call My Buddy the Plumber and Preston C drove in some fairly bad snowy weather and was able to fix the furnace. Preston C arrived quickly, was very friendly, and was able to determine what was wrong and thankfully had a new replacement for the part that was broken. We're very happy with the service.

EB Ismail was professional, efficient, and very pleasant throughout the process of taking out the kitchen sink and installing a new one. He used shoe protection at all times, cleaned thoroughly when finished, checked his work carefully, and was cheerful at all times. Referred by a friend and satisfied customer. We needed help asap. On sunday the A/C gave out. Record heat. No doubt our system from 2006 was on its last legs. It always seemed to struggle to keep the house cool since we moved in. I called just about every HVAC company in the valley. To be fair, I’m sure there were a lot of folks in our situation. It’s a busy time of year for HVAC. It seemed tough to get an appointment that wasn’t on Friday. We had one company come out yesterday. It wasn't a great experience. It did help us see how great Dustin is. Dustin took the time to do the diagnostics on the furnace. Safety evaluation and all. His experience was very helpful. I ended up cancelling my appointment with AnyHour. I only had it in case this turned out to be just like the last company. Thankfully it wasn’t. Timing played into which companies could show up. I’m happy that this one did.

They came the day after the earthquake here in Magna. Daniel looked at my water heater and between the both of us came up with a game plan to get our house back into shape. Unfortunately the water heater we had installed when we first moved in was replaced incorrectly. I explained that when you guys came to fix our AC unit and replace our furnace that our water heater was out of code. Expansion tank on the hot side. No earthquake straps. Wrong piping. Missing parts. No sediment trap on the gas line. Etc.Daniel took the time to listen and showed compassion for what we had gone thru. He offered solutions and advice that was greatly appreciated in a stressful situation. He came the next morning and explained every little detail on what he was going to do. We also found out that the water pressure was not where it was supposed to be. He explained that average range is between 50-80. Our house was 112. So our pressure regulator was the problem. He was a great help and I hope the owner Brandon( Daniel couldn't stop praising him at every chance he could) will see this and Give Daniel the recognition he deserves. You guys have come to our rescue multiple times now and I will continue to call on you guys even when we move. I have told multiple people to call if they need anything. 07/13 New service. We had our water main break and they once again came to our rescue. Brian was out within the service hours and said he would make sure we got taken care of. We don't have enough words to thank this company for how many times they have come and treated us with compassion and respect for our house issues.

I used this company for three major jobs. In 2019 I had a bathroom and kitchen remodel, for which they rerouted all sewer and water lines for the new placement of fixtures. Then, in 2021, for the replacement of all other water pipes as well as installation of a tankless water heater. I had a great experience with both services. Heath was the technician in 2021 for both the recipe, and the water heater. He was very professional and I was so pleased with the work and the price! Fast forward to December, and my water heater was working intermittently. Grrrr. I called, and they sent Heath out immediately to diagnose it. He was very prompt and diligent, as always. Per his diagnostics, there may be a problem with the gas regulator from the house meter, and the unit was leaking, possibly due to a damageded heat exchanger. I had to check with Dominion energy before we could proceed on a plan to fix it under warranty. Dominion came, and denied that it was the regulator, sigh. So now, between My Buddy and Rinnai, I am awaiting a verdict as to who will take responsibility for a water heater going bad after a year and a half. I will ammend this review based on the outcome of this issue. So far this company has been the best, I'm hopeful they will get this resolved for me.

Our furnace died at 10:30 pm during a cold snap, I had heard good things from a co-worker and so they were the first company we called. Although they list as 24/7, we didn't get a return call until the next morning, but hey..who wants to work all night? I don't. The service guy came out to take a look and informed us that our 24 yr old furnace had to be replaced and had his sales guy come out within the hour. Shawn was great to work with and very friendly, giving us multiple options. He then managed to get us in the last slot before the weekend so we only spent a day and a half in the cold. Korey and Kasey were our installers and did a fantastic job. They were at our house within 30 minutes of the 3 hour time slot to arrive and worked until the job was done, which was much faster than I would have imagined it could be done. The thermostat was explained to me and all my questions answered. They were also very good about not leaving the door open as they came in and out for parts, as it was only 20 degrees outside. And bonus, they didn't mind my nosy dog. I will definitely be calling them for our future needs.

Revised Review: I was contacted by the owner and had a very good conversation regarding the work and the cost. I am very satisfied with the resolution. The work as I stated before was very good. Awesome and Fast (That was my initial response). However after digesting the invoice, I would not recommend their service based on how much they charge. I had a water leak coming through my ceiling. I cut out a 3x3 section of drywall, identified the leak, placed a plastic sheet on the floor and had it ready to go. The technician arrived and spent about 30 to 40 minutes working to repair the line. He cut out 18" of pipe, used 2 fittings and installed 18" of Pex. Total cost $555 (I did get a discount for writing a Google review). I called the next morning and explained my concern and was told "That is what it costs to have a licensed professional fix your pipe." The service itself was good as they responded quickly, the technician was very nice and the work so far appears to be good. Simply put, Overcharged for basic plumbing service.

Holland was very professional and offered me affordable options to repair my AC unit. My AC unit is over 20 years old so it will need replacement soon, but I was hoping to wait a little longer. Holland fixed my AC unit so that it would at least get me through the summer. I called Saturday night and he arrived Sunday morning at 9. And I had a working AC in an hour. Update 6/23/22: Just had Holland install the REME Halo LED Purifier. Holland was great, fast and efficient. Very friendly, as all the My Buddy the Plumbers technicians are. Could not ask for better service. This was just for a tune-up. I have had several different techs come over the years and everyone is always polite and helpful. Their customer service is hard to beat. The rating I gave is just for today. Earlier this year I had a heat pump installed by them (and the installers were also just as nice as can be). But I have been thoroughly unimpressed by the heat pump. In the summer it would not cool the house sufficiently (would be 76-77 by 5:00 everyday, though I had it set at 72) and now that it is cold it takes almost the whole day (literally) to reach 69 (we like to sleep with it cold so it is starts out between 61-63 degrees when it first fires up in the morning). Nobody seems to know how to fix it other than telling me to turn it to “auxiliary” which directly engages either the furnace or the A/C (depending on season), but that totally defeats the purpose of paying an awful lot of money for a heat pump.

It’s frustrating because I had to make arrangements to be home. After my third call with no luck, I resorted to YouTube and a couple of trips to Home Depot and got it squared away. I guess once they got paid they no longer felt customer service was important. Our furnace went out due to an inducer issue that was going to cost over a grand to replace. Upon inspection, their technician’s attention to detail identified critical problems with the system that would lead to carbon monoxide issues shortly after repairing the inducer. They were very patient with us as we scrambled to shop around and find the best deal compared to what My Buddy was offering and after calling all other 5 star rated HVAC companies we did not find a better offer than my buddy. They came back in under 24hrs with all needed equipment, and technicians John and Jackson completed the entire removal, replacement (resulting in a greater than 16% increase in efficiency vs original model), and clean up in under 5hrs. We are more than pleased with the new system and wouldn’t recommend any other company over My Buddy.

We had our furnace go out on New Years Day, which was especially awful as it we were having a cold surge with temps in the single digits. My Buddy had a service agent out to us first thing in the morning to see if there was anything that could be done to bring our poor old 20+ year furnace back to life to hold out through the winter. The tech, GT, was knowledgeable and honest with us, showing us the issues that we would/could run into even if we were to do a part replacement. We opted to bite the bullet and go for the full replacement since it was evident that would need done shortly anyway. John came out the next morning and got our new furnace installed in just a couple of hours. He was stellar, and so helpful in walking us through the setup of our new thermostat and showing us all the components of the new furnace also. Just a super nice crew, and we also appreciated how clean they were with their work! Our home is happily heated again thanks to John and his team!

We apparently had a defective water pressure regulator on our main line coming in off the street. It was diagnosed really quick, it was repaired/replaced really quick, was done really well, and the plumber (Truitt ?) was very nice to work with! The My furnace went out late Friday, Alison at My Buddy was able to give me an appointment Saturday afternoon. She even called an hour before the appointment window to let me knew Mike the technician was running late. That's a first, usually Ihave to wait until the end of the window to find out they'll be late. Mike was knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and quickly figured out the problem (the igniter blew apart, he'd never seen that before). Mike even took the time to run down a fan vibration and make sure the wires weren't getting chaffed. For a weekend emergency appointment the price was higher than I liked but well worth it. I had a 35 year old furnace fail Sunday night. I called My Buddy the Plumber Monday morning and they sent Mike Kooy out first thing Monday morning to investigate. We determined the repair would not be financially worthwhile when compared to the cost of a new furnace. Mike arranged to have a new furnace installed the following day at a price I thought to be very reasonable. We have loved My Buddy the Plumber company and especially Derek Sundell and Mike Kooy! They work so meticulously and come when they say they will be there and they work hard to get things going. We first had Derik come and replace an old boiler and he got our in-floor heat working perfectly and replaced our inefficient big water heaters which has saved us a lot in heating bills. He worked hard to do it as quickly as possible as it was in the middle of the winter. He was professional and friendly. Then, just yesterday we had a power outage that knocked out the digital panel on that new boiler. This time Mike Kooy called as he was two hours away, and walked me through all the many steps to open the boiler and work on the digital wiring. He patiently had me check different things from cycling our breakers, to checking the connections. After about 30 minutes we got it working!! Mike was so positive and friendly and wouldn’t give up. This is great customer service! This is why we keep coming back to My Buddy the Plumber. It’s so nice to know there’s a company you can trust with such great servicemen.

Spring of 2021 we used My Buddy for a water leak, the technician Robert Titze was fantastic, super honest guy. Bought the membership back then, the company has been responsive, customer service great so far. Fast Forward to today, we just had the water heater technician, John White, do the hot water tank flush covered under the membership plan. We chatted about getting the tankless water heater for our house in the future as we currently have a 1 year old traditional hot water tank in our house. When it came time to leave, he said the service call would be $40 and would like to collect payment. I said I thought it was covered under the membership's maintenance plan. He said the $40 IS THE "Club Membership Pricing" for the routine hot water tank flush he just performed. He even sent me an invoice that shows the $40 charge but coded it to the tankless hot water flush (which there is an up-charge for tankless flushes under the membership). I told him I wasn't comfortable paying it right then and there and would like to talk to HQ before paying. He was fine with that and left. It turns out the traditional hot water tank flush is in fact included as part of the membership. I've had all great experiences with this company except for today.

We had pipes in our house that were humming when we turned on the water due to poor water pressure. Quote for loud gas furnace, potential repair. They responded immediately. Were courteous and professional. I have used them before. I have a home warranty and after receiving their repair quote ...immediate $2000, imminent $2,500, had to submit to my AHS warranty service. They would not accept quote and sent their own service out. Their service identified problem as a loose screw which cost me $75 for service visit. I'm disappointed in MY Buddy for trying to sell me services/equipment that were totally not needed and charging me $59 for a bogus service quote. So Disappointed. Dec 13, 2021 - I'd like to update this review. I have used My Buddy several times in the past and have always had top notch service. Immediately after posting the above review, Shawn, one of the managers contacted me. The professional that was sent out was newer to the position and probably didn't have the expertise "yet" to provide me with all the information that was important for me to make a decision. Shawn asked if I would like a refund or to have a long time service technician to do a full diagnosis of my system. I chose for Larry to come out and look at my furnace. Larry was amazing and certainly understood furnaces. Although, he found wear and tear he did not find anything needing repair today. When asked if he thought my equipment needed replacing he said... "your system is 19years old, there are parts that are showing wear" "I can't tell you if it will last 45min or 5years" . I will most likely have My Buddy come out and provide a quote for new equipment as furnaces don't last forever and the supply chain is sloooowwww and increasing in price. Update: Tyler came out to rectify everything that happended from the first visit, found the issue and solved it for a great price. So I am very happy now and will call Tyler again. I am disgusted with this company and the “plumber” sent. The My Buddy plumber actually tried to bribe my general contractor, offering to pay him $200 as a kick back to get me, the owner to “bite” on paying $7500 for a plumbing repair that was unnecessary. The leak in the wall was fixed by my GC who was honest enough to tell me about this interaction. When I contacted the company I left a message that was never returned. This same con man then called me at 11pm at night to ask for my credit card Information for his “house call”. The dispatcher told me $149, he tried to charge me $189 after waking me up. Between the bribing and 11pm phone call, this is the single most unprofessional encounter I have had with any services company in 3 years of living in SLC.

Great service. My air conditioner stopped working last week. GT, a service technician, asked if it would be okay for him to arrive earlier than my scheduled appointment. Yes, please! He diagnosed the problem and gave me a pocket-friendly solution. Due to the age of my air conditioner, though, I knew I was facing replacement of it in the near future. I also knew I needed to replace my water heater. GT called a field estimator, Vance, to talk with me about pricing. Vance arrived timely and gave me multiple options, explained the pros and cons of the various options, and was patient while I made my decision about whether to change out the aging furnace as well. In the end, I did replace all three units. Vance sent an excellent installation team (Ian and Ryan). They explained how the updated system worked in comparison to the old one, and worked hard all day and into the early evening to get everything working again. They cleaned up the area and left it looking better than when they arrived. Amazing! Although no one probably enjoys the expense of replacing these systems, I do know they gave me a fair price and I love how well everything is working. From start to finish, their service was great.

My AC had went out on the Friday night of Memorial weekend which is the worst. I called My Buddy the Plumber since they were open 24/7 and had great reviews and they were able to send a repairman to come assess the issue within a little over an hour of my call. Preston was very polite and knowledgeable. He did an amazing job in determining the problem(s) and reason for the AC not working. He went on to explain the details & options I had at that point. Unfortunately it was determined that we needed a new AC and furnace. Not so great news of course. The very next morning, Shawn came out to my house, reviewed our needs, showed us pricing plans, answered all our questions and was able to set up an install for the following day. Sunday morning, the technicians ... Andy, Ian and Korey came in and did the install of the furnace, AC and new thermostat. All 3 gentlemen were fast, friendly and very professional. They cleaned up any mess they may have made because it looked as if they were never even here. They also walked me thru downloading and the set up of the app i needed for the wifi thermostat to ensure everything worked properly from my phone. I am just surprised and very grateful that I was able to find a company that was willing to come out on short notice and able to do an install so quickly. Holiday weekends are such a difficult time to get work done and I really appreciate their time, work and honesty. We will be using My Buddy in the future for other projects that we anticipate. TLDR- Google won't let me leace 2 seperate reviews, so: 5 Stars for HVAC, 1 Star for Plumbing = 3 star Average I called these guys when my furnace took a dive. They (Patrick?)were out the same day with very reasonable fees. Diagnosed the problem and offered to fix the parts without pushing for a whole new furnace. That said, they were also honest about the furnace being 20 years old, but gave me the option. I ultimately decided to get bids for a new unit. They (Shawn) offered me a VERY wide range of options at different costs and were out the next day to install. The installer (John) was efficient and fast. He problem solved a very tight install and also gave some suggestions on a rodent problem we found in the ducting. All in all it was a great experience! I wish I could say the same about the plumbing... While doing the (5 star!) HVAC job, the installers very helpfully pointed out a large leak that had developed on the other side of the basement. We traced the problem to an under sink valve in the upstairs bathroom and shut it off. They helpfully offered to get one of their plumbers out to help. With the magic of ring doorbells, I can tell you that the plumber arrived at 1:56, looked at the valve and said it needed replacement, leaving the house at 2:00. He returned at 2:43 and showed me a bid for $526. When I questioned why the price was so high for a simple valve repair, he explained to me that he would "have to drain the whole house, do a complete "PEX stripdown", and replace the valves". That all sounded fairly time consuming, so I signed the bid and he got to work. 15 minutes later he announced he was done. I was surprised and asked if he could show me what was done. He pointed to the two 10$ valves he had replaced. I asked about the "PEX stripdown" and he gave me a confused look, back peddling. I asked if the "$250 per valve" was labor and his response is "that is what they tell us to charge for this". I paid the man and sent him on his way at 3:06. By my account, that is around $1500 per hour for the time spent physically in my home. Even accounting for the time he left to go procure the 10$ valves, at $500 an hour, I am in the wrong profession! I wasn't sent a link to leave a review :) Basically - everything I fear about getting taken by home repair people was totally put at ease by their HVAC folks and then completely destroyed by their plumbing arm. At least my floor is dry and I have a great new furnace!

Had a great experience with this company. Ran into a plumbing issue on a Saturday. Of all the plumbing services they had one of the most reasonable dispatch fees. They were quick to get out and wrap their head around the issue. they worked hard to try and fix the problem that night. our Tech Eric this day was great helping talk through the problem and coming up with a plan to fix it first thing Monday once we realized we needed parts. Eric also provided some explanations for some future projects we should consider for fixing and upgrading the pipes in our house. Come Monday Our tech Shea showed up right on time. quickly got to work on the problem (even showed up with all the necessary parts). He got the problem solved quickly and walked through the repairs with us. Very friendly and extremely experienced with plumbing. I really appreciated the straight forward pricing and the friendliness of the techs. Overall i would go back to them in the future for any need with plumbing. thanks!

They were friendly, helpful, informative, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. (Sunday) and they were able to come out same day, for a nominal service call, no extra for Sunday or emergency service was quoted or paid. We ended up needing a new Central A/C unit. We have been using My Buddy the Plumber for almost a year. Our plumber is Damon. We have nothing but absolutely amazing things to say about Damon and his work. At this point we have probably done a half a dozen projects with Damon. Everything from repairing our mainline to installing water heaters and RO to fixing corroded pipes. And it’s been a success each time! Damon is on time, communicates what to expect, comes prepared and never shies away from teaching me about our systems if I ask. He leaves the space clean every time too. Damon had referred us for HVAC services as well (so good job on business development) but the company fell short on understanding our needs at that time. In terms of value, I would not say that this company is cheap but we’re 6/6 in excellent projects so I think it’s worth it to get the job done right.

**Update 11/24/20** I still appreciated Preston's work, but this company was a little pushy when trying to sell us a new HVAC system. They also couldn't offer us the best deal, so we ended up going with someone else. I would definitely recommend My Buddy for an estimate, but don't forget to shop around! - Great work! Definitely recommend. They responded to my Yelp message at 9pm on a Sunday night and arranged a visit for the next day. Preston called thirty minutes before he arrived and he was right on time during the window provided. He was kind, patient, and explained *everything* to us. We opted to get the "club membership" because the part he needed to fix was $149 (included the $69 diagnostic fee) and the club membership was only $235. It includes a 10% discount for the next year and a few other free services that we were planning on getting done anyway. Saving money and a nice, reliable company? Heck yes!

Today Daniel came out to reinstall a couple toilets and was able to show me some tips for reseating the wax rings and what might cause them to leak if not done right. Our hot water heaters went out this morning. We called My Buddy the Plumber at 7:45 a.m. and Daniel the service tech was at our house by 9. He did a very thorough inspection and recommended replacing both water heaters since they work in sync with each other. We've used My Buddy the Plumber once before last year and we had a wonderful technician (Jordan), but we've had a torturous experience 12/7 with Kyle Malmstrom just last week 12/7 when we had water in our basement, and he came in and talked my ears off about irrelevant things, just a typical low caliber sales man. Our drain pipe needed to be jetted and he said it costs $1,083, but we got charged for $1,300. Because of some water getting to the baseboards and kitchen cabinets, he told us that everything needs to be teared down. He made the decision on his own and contracted "Dry Wall Restoration, without asking us if we wanted to go with a different company. " We came to learn later that Dry Wall Restoration give My Buddy The Plumber a portion of the pay for recommending them, " very unethical and shady business! We could have hired a different damage mitigation company, but we were never consulted. He lied about our homeowner insurance and said that we would get back two third of the cost of digging in the ground to install a liner BIG LIE, we didn't have a separate underwriter for sewer damage, but he never cared to even ask us if we do or we don't. My daughter had them write on the agreement that if the cost exceeds our insurance premium, we are not liable for paying it. Jetting was done on Monday 12/7, we received a receipt on 12/14 and after I called Kyle and the main office to ask for it. Are we disappointed, and would never hire their services again? For sure! Advice for everyone, if you ever have flooded place, check your policy and talk with your insurance agent first, not with your plumber! Jetting and cleaning out the pipe was done efficiently and our water problem is gone. I wanted to add an update to our yesterday's review. Minutes after I posted the review, I received a call from the owner of My Buddy the Plumber (Branden). He took the time to listen to our concerns and acknowledged them. He shared some feedback with his technician as an area of learning opportunity, and called me at the end of the day yesterday (like he promised) and offered us a credit for our pain and suffering. A true and live example of excellent soft contact leadership skills! Thank You Branden!

This is definitely a unique time in many industries providing services such as these, and we had a few bumps in the road with our installation, but at the end of the day Vance made sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction and communicated with us along the way. My husband and I are so happy with our new Air Conditioners and whole home air purifiers that My Buddy the Plumber installed. Shawn came to give us an estimate. and he spent a lot of time helping us decide what models would best fit our home with the furnaces we already had in place. He also made recommendations that would help the air flow in our utility rooms. The air purifiers we also had installed are amazing! I wasn't too sure I would notice any difference, but the air feels and smells so clean in the home. He didn't try to push us to the most expensive models, either. I had my buddy check out my heating system at a newly purchased home after the inspector recommended an HVAC company look at it. GT was honest in his opinion and let me know the system did not have any major issues. He did recommend lifting the system to get better air flow and installing an air cleaner to go along with my humidifier. No pressure and said I’d be fine leaving it how it was. Ultimately, I decided to get the lift on the system as I could tell there was poor air flow in the house. I also had him install that air filter. My A/C was not blowing cold air when it should have been. I called on a Thursday evening and GT was able to come out and look at it the same night. We noticed ice on the coils and he immediately looked at the air flow as the issue. The filter we had in was not old but noticeably beaten up. He talked me through the importance of having quality air flow and a lot of this depends on the filter we use. He recommended we let it thaw and then run it without a filter to see if it ran smooth with no issue. He gave recommendations on where to purchase quality filters and which ones to purchase. The A/C works like new and I was only charged the dispatch fee to check it out. With the heat we've been having, it was great the GT was able to come out the same day and check my system and give the proper advice without wanting to charge me an arm and a leg to do unnecessary repairs. Our furnace went out 3 days before Christmas. My Buddy the P[umber went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. They came out the same day and gave us a fair estimate. They pointed out some issues that needed to be addressed from the prior install that had caused the failure on the first furnace and told us how they would address them. The installers actually arrived early for the install and were very professional and polite. Corey and Casey were both wearing personal protection gear including masks. They were wearing foot coverings and they put down drop cloths covering the entire work area before starting. The quality of work was above and beyond our expectations. The fit and finish of the install was done very well with attention to detail. Couldn't be happier!
