We had Barlow install a new Furnace, Heat Pump, Water Softener and Tankless Water Heater... Zack, Luis, Jacob, Taylor, Andrew and Robert did a fantastic job installing all of the equipment... Very professional and friendly service... the install was complete in one day... very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions... left the work area clean. I will recommend Barlow and the guys who installed to anyone who needs upgraded HVAC.

I had a new furnace installed in June 2020. It worked perfectly with the AC system and fixed the problems my system was having. The installers were efficient, did a good job and were very professional. Nine months later, the furnace wouldn't turn on from the thermostat. A Barlow technician came out and had it working again in probably 5 minutes. He indicated that the pilot light sensor developed some type of buildup(corrosion?). The technician suggested a dirty filter caused the issue. He was understandably reluctant to show me how to fix this myself. ("Check Google") He did offer to enroll me in their monthly fee maintenance service. Since that time, I have regularly changed the filter, however, the pilot light sensor continues to develop buildup. As a result, I have had to remove and clean the pilot light sensor three times in the past year because the furnace stops turning on from the thermostat. I'm rather disappointed that the furnace is so finicky that it requires this level of intervention. This has not been my experience with prior furnaces.

Barlow did an ‘attic cut-in” for me, installing a furnace, A/C unit, and ducts in my older home. Barlow took the time to calculate the correct size of unit for my home (4 ton A/C) and understand my heating and cooling needs. The installation crew—Jacob and his team (Rob, Luis, Andrew, Taylor)—were very professional and did a wonderful job working in tight spots in my attic cutting in 15 supply vents and 3 returns. The installation was done correct. I am very pleased with the system and I love the I Comfort thermostat.

His equipment provided clear accurate readings for airflow and expected temperature. He walked me through the readings as the test was run and explained thoroughly. Barlow provides both great Customer Service and Maintenance Service and has great employees. I would rate them a 10+. Darren is the tech that came to my property today and he was very professional and knows his business. He replaced a faulty gas regulator and also re-worked some of the natural gas piping and fittings which connect to the hot water heater. I also am under an Annual Contract for both the Heating/Cooling which is a great service and at a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend Barlow to both family and friends.

We recently had Harry Biswell help service our AC and he was pretty much the most informative technician we’ve ever had. He explained everything he was doing and why and made sure our AC unit was running as efficiently as possible. If he ran for a political office I’d put his sign in my front lawn and vote for him.

Came home and my furnace wouldn’t turn on. I called Barlow Service Experts to see if they could come that night. It was an after-hour service, but they arrived in less than 1.5 hrs. The service technician, Jim, was awesome! He fixed my furnace, gave me a few pointers on maintenance, and answered all of my questions in a very friendly/professional manner. Best part, the price was very good! Didn’t break the bank like I was afraid would happen with a short notice and after hour call. Every thing about my experience with Barlow Service was outstanding! And I’ll definitely be calling them in the Spring for an after season tune up on my furnace and a tune up on my AC before the Summer heat kicks in… I would recommend these guys to anyone! They were awesome!

Update: We just had Taylor and Chris install an endless water heater and they went above and beyond what I expected. It’s a very nice unit and they did a great job installing it. Rodolfo did a great job checking out our heating and a/c units. Got us ready for summer and answered all of our questions while addressing our main concerns. Just an all around good experience.

Garrett was very professional and answered all of my questions regarding the furnace inspection and service in language I readily understood. He did not try to oversell new products but rather explained to me the reason he'd recommend upgrades to existing systems and/or replacements. Garrett also flushed the newer hot water heater. AC unit finally gave up the ghost and I knew that with the unit’s age (21 years) and the furnace being just as old, we might have to replace. Which was the recommendation. Geoff Raymond come out to the house to assess them and then again to go over options. Geoff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Got the new AC furnace installed a couple days later by Chad and Bryson. They had a few challenges because of the way the previous unit was installed and the house was built, but they got it done and were courteous and professional and did a great job cleaning up after the job was done. Barlow’s advantage program is a great option.

Harry Biswell was awesome. He found why we were so cold. The ducts were not connected in the attic correctly. We will now have heat. This issue was already checked on a previous service call and the ducts were not secured correctly so they had come lose. We were cooling the attic this summer and paying a higher power bill. We had to call Barlow late on Friday afternoon for a furnace that that had shut itself down including turning off our thermostat. When I called I was told that a technician would call as soon as they were done with the call they were on.Trent called to let me know there was one customer in front of me and he would be to the house soon. Trent then let me know he was done and on his way. When he arrived he got right to work diagnosing the problem. He had everything needed on his truck to fix the problem and was done quickly. We originally called Barlow in May '22 to amp up our swamp cooler for the summer; now we called them in November '22 to winterize it! Was able to get an appointment within a few days, and then the morning of the appointment they called to say they'd had a cancellation and could come earlier. That was great because it freed up the rest of my day. Rodolfo was the tech and he was great - friendly and smiling, got the job done quickly, asked if I had any other questions. So far our experiences with Barlow have been extremely positive. We were happy to find a company that works on swamp coolers; not all AC businesses do. Harry Biswell was the tech who came to start up our existing cooler for the summer. He was friendly, helpful, and professional, and gave us several informative tips. Very happy with his service and would call this company again.

I have an old furnace and A/C that broke and needed repair. A technician and salesman came out. To their credit, they were very kind and professional. However, from the start it seemed like they were looking for a reason to replace the entire system. They eventually did find the problem and gave me a rough quote of $1k to replace this part and urged me to replace the system altogether. I decided to get a second opinion and was told not to replace my system and that the problem would be $450 to replace. It just seemed like from the second they saw my system that they wanted to replace it. The other issue I have is how they try and push the monthly payment/subscription. Instead of paying cash up front I could pay a monthly amount for 10 years which would end up being over twice as much.

First let me tell you about the technician Rodolfo. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He would have received 5 stars by himself. While Barlow has a good Lennox furnace that they sell, they do not keep parts for all of them. My furnace went out overnight on Dec 23/24. I called Service Experts the morning of the 24th and they had a repairman out in 2 hours which was awesome! But, they did not have the parts required to fix it in stock. Parts had to be ordered in from Texas where, you guessed it, they were closed for the holidays. The parts came in on Jan 3rd and it was repaired Jan 4th. My recommendation to Barlow service experts is to keep at least enough parts on hand to repair any part of any model they sell. Then when that part is used, order another one in.

Garrett arrived early in the appointment window and spent an hour and a half setting up our window swamp cooler for the season. He was very meticulous, cleaning the scale from the inside of the cooler and the filters, and then cleaning the patio where the detritus had fallen. He checked and repaired leaks. Although he was here only for the swamp cooler, he climbed up into the attic and repaired a loose cover on the furnace which had been making an annoying rattle. We have lived in this house for 44 years, and Derrick is the best technician who has ever come here. We will be asking for him every time we schedule future service. 9/29/22 Rodolfo was very competent, positive, and friendly. When we asked him to disconnect it hose inside the house, he did it without complaint. He’s a good member of your team.

I only signed up for their maintenance program to have my tankless system maintained, yet they haven’t done that for quite some time. The latest I heard is they don’t have a plumber on staff certified to do that currently. I think it has been years since they serviced it, like three or more. Even when they had someone, I had to request multiple times each time for them to send someone to do it, as only the a/c guy would show up. Thinking I should cancel my maintenance contract. After posting this review they came and serviced the tankless. I don’t know if that was related to my post or not but we are now up to date

I had Trent come by to fix my old unit (he came the same day I called), and he did very quickly, he was very knowledgeable and professional. He told me about the newer units and how more efficient they are and set up a free consult about upgrading. Drew came and did some measuring and inspecting of what I had and gave me several options for upgrading. of course, I wanted the best system for the lowest price. I ended up getting what I felt was the best system, I got a new A/C unit, new furnace with humidifier, and a water heater. they had to make my return air vents bigger and add another return air line. they did it all in one day, Dave, Garth, Jones and about five other guys came. overall I’m very happy with everything, there was a small water leak from the humidifier line that Trent fixed when Trent and Drew came back a week after the install to see how everything was working. Thought that we had a service contract with them, but unknown to us when we had to replace a system a year ago, that the service contract was automatically cancelled in favor of the warranty. Normally would not be a big deal, but the service contract was for more than one system. After a bit of digging into our account history with Haley and Katie of the office staff, we did figure out what had happened, and Harry Biswell, our technician made sure that we were taken care of and got us back on a service contract. He did have to make a return visit to finish the service, but he made sure that we were his first appointment the next day (Saturday). Very great service by the technician! Pretty upset that I am told I have a freon leak that I need to pay over $400 to fill. Certainly not the technicians fault, but when I bought the house 4 years agi the previous owner reported needing to add freon to the AC units, therefore I bought an extra year in home warranty. I reported this to Barlow and recorded my AC creating a high pitched whining sound....they found nothing. Now my home warranty is up and I must pay this in full. Second opinion is going to be required. The constant attempt to upsell me on a new unit, because the builders didn't raise my furnace off the ground to allow proper airflow (which they also told me at my old house that was newly built) is ridiculous. Barlow you just lost a customer.

Harry Biswell was my technician. He showed up on time and performed everything he needed to do. He even added salt to my water conditioner which I purchased from Barlow just a few weeks ago. However, even though this appointment went well, you need to know how two others did not. I had and appoinment on Monday the 21st between 2 and 4. At 4:15 I called to see when they were going to arrive. I was told it was too cold that day to check my A/C out. I can understand that but no call to let me know. So we reset the appointment for Tuesday between 2 and 4. At 4:15 that day I called to find out when they would be here. I was told that they called at 12:35 to see if they could come earlier. I phone (house or cell) never rang and the call logs on my phones show no rings.Then they said they came to the house and no one was home. Another lie. We were home all day and never left the house. I checked my doorbell and it was in working order. They said they left a sorry we missed you note on the front door knob. Two more lies. No note on the front door. Your office staff didn't seem to care about me being lied too. Neither your clerk or your dispatcher. Just thought you would like to know.

We were due for replacement of our home HVAC system, including both furnace and AC. The estimate for the work was reasonable and well below other estimates for the same level and quality of equipment. We went with Barlow and we're very pleased that we did. John, Justin and Jake worked the system and there was a significant amount of duct re-work in order to install the system and have an efficient duct system. They worked all day and well into the evening, and throughout their long day they were cheerful and pleasant, hard-working and determined. Their work, and especially the duct work was impressive to say the least. We had our estimator also estimate the cost of a water heater, which was also due for replacement and the new water heater installed the same day was icing on the cake, once again at a very favorable cost. We really loved our previous technician, JD, and were sad to see him leave the company (he had previously said such good things about working for Barlow so I don't attribute this to bad employment practices). We were customers of Barlow Service Experts for 5+ years and they were great during those intervening years, servicing our HVAC each spring, each fall, and of course when needed. We would've continued with them, except for the fact that they couldn't install a desired unit when our older system eventually failed. They too were affected by shortages, but we needed a particular unit which they could not obtain. They would've received 5 stars but for the quote process that required us to push the salesman at every turn, in the middle of a summer heat wave, and was much more expensive than it should've been for the units proposed. Barlow Service Experts are not the best HVAC provider, but they are sufficiently good.

My hot water heater started failing and my immediate response was to call Service Experts. Daren visited my home within 2 hours, inspected the hot water heater, and provided me with different replacement options. I was able to make a decision and with Daren's help was able to get an appointment for the water heater to be replaced between 8am - 10am the next day. He was very professional and helpful. Tony and Ben arrived at 7:50am ready to replace the old and install the new hot water heater. They were very professional, competent and finished the work within 2 hours. The technician, Adam G., arrived on time and showed desires to understand our problems and perform good maintenance. He worked diligently and asked us good questions to understand our needs. He reviewed with us his scoresheet and encouraged us to pursue replacing the equipment, which is 13 years old on a 10+ years estimated life. He also did his best to clean the outside equipment to increase performance efficiency. Unfortunately, he turned off the outside equipment for the major AC system so he could clean it with water but he forgot to turn it back on after he was done. So we went the rest of the day and night without AC on the main floor of the house. This was remedied the next day when I called Barlow, who sent out another technician who was in the area that day. I will use Barlow again. Excellent service - forgetting to turn on the outside equipment could happen to anyone.

Had a basement toilet mounting go bad so called for some expert advice. First appointment was in about 28 hours, so I took it. About an hour later I get a call and they could come out in an hour. Since this was an install performed by the previous owner in an unfinished basement at the time, it was not the best of techniques and there was a lot of work preparing the site to put a closet flange in. After seeing the worked involved and knowing how some people would do it, I was impressed with the detail work that Howard did to get the flange flush seated in the pipe, flush mounted to the concrete, leveled, and at the correct height so that the toilet seated correctly. A simple job that took longer than expected because of the original install. If you need someone who does not mind explaining why he did something, and does the job right, Howard is a good choice.

The whole process of buying a new AC and heater was off to a stressful start. Then we got a quote from Barlow Service Experts per a friends recommendation and all the stress melted away. This was the 3rd quote we received and not only was the price fair but the service we received was awesome. Drew measured all areas of our house and correctly sized our unit which wasn't properly sized with our old units and what a difference it has made. Drew was very helpful in answering the many questions we had and didn't seem annoyed with us having so many. We didn't feel pressured to make a decision right on the spot like other companies had done. When we made our decision to go with Barlow, Drew came back out to answer our final questions and get the finances worked out. Which was also pretty painless. We were able to schedule the install within a week at a time that worked best for us. The install went great and they took their time to make sure everything was done correctly and also consulted us when needed to make sure it was done the way we had wanted. A few weeks later we noticed there was a small gap between the furnace and the return duct that wasn't properly sealed and before we got a chance to call in to see if someone could come back and correct it Drew had given us a call back to check in with us and make sure everything was working well and was done to our satisfaction. After we mentioned the duct work issue they were very fast to send someone out to correct the issue free of charge and we couldn't be more satisfied with the work and experience we had with this company. Jacob & Taylor were the Barlow service technicians for my new home installation upgrade - furnace and outdoor AC ( condenser ) unit ( Lennox ) in South Ogden here recently. We were told that they would come between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m., they got here a little after 8 and were completely done, cleaned up and out of here by 2:30 p.m. They were respectful of our home and property the units look great and they took all the old units with them. We are truly satisfied with their service. These service techs were polite, wore masks and did their job.

Great customer service. Called on a Sunday not really thinking I would see anyone for at least a day and within 2 hrs they had a technician out to fix our problem. JD was our technician and he was great. He was very professional and courteous. Fixed the problem and gave some helpful advice on maintaining our furnace. We will definitely be using Barlow for any future service and needs.

Our water heater finally died and they were able to install a new one the same day. They arrived exactly on time and kept our home clean. They removed the old one and made the entire process simple and fast.
