Charles came to my condo for a consultation on installing a mini split heating/cooling system in my bedroom on the second floor. After reviewing the room, where the system needed to be placed, the cost and the disruption to my condo building was prohibitive. He then asked if he could look at my furnace to see if it could be zoned. After reviewing the furnace, he sent me a quote the following day. The cost was reasonable and the process sounded like it would work well for me. I really liked the idea of using the current system I already have in place but making it more efficient. Thank you so much Charles Fitzgerald for the recommendation ! Charles came yesterday with two other outstanding techs, Jeremy Newton & Jon Comancho. They spent approximately 7 hours installing and testing the new set-up. It went amazingly well. Surprisingly, I now have heat in my bedroom and cool air after 10 years of living here. Thank you Charles for the suggestion, it seems perfect ! Thanks to all 3, (Charles, Jeremy and Jon) for their outstanding work of installing the system. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you.

I worked with Brian to get a quote for a mini-split a/c to cool the downstairs of my house. He came and did the quote and National Refrigeration was the most reasonable price I receive, especially since the electrician cost was included in the quote. They were able to get the mini-split ordered as soon as I was ready and I decided to add the heat pump option for $500 more. Once the unit came in, they came and installed as soon as I was able - the team that installed was courteous, professional and worked diligently throughout the day to get everything done. They also cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

All the technicians are great. Sam G. did a great job. My issue is with National Refrigeration itself. I was lead to believe that my last service was covered under my plan when I called to schedule . I was not told that it was not till after the work had been done, and essentially trapped into signing up again.

I've never written a review before but felt compelled to do so with National Refrigeration. I have been a residential customer with National Refrigeration for over 10 years. Over this time, beside preventative maintenance calls, I have had a heat exchanger, draft motor and circuit board replaced. In all instances, I have found their technicians (Dave P and Ryan most recently) to be prompt, knowledgeable, thorough, neat, professional and always willing to answer my numerous questions. Brian Kelly as Service Manager as well as Elizabeth and Jessica as service department representatives have always been extremely good to deal with on quotes or service coordination. The three gentleman, Rito, Sean, and Charles, who installed my new furnace and air conditioner were very professional. They took the time to answer all of my questions in a patient and courteous manner. For a while I wasn't sure that they would be able to get some venting into a tight space, but they hung tough and finished the job. These men seemed to be dedicated to doing a good job. I have told some of my friends and neighbors about your company and they are interested in possibly contacting you about servicing them too. I have a service contract with National and have been having my heating and air conditioner serviced bi-annually. You guys do a great job. Last week, Jarrod serviced my heating system. He was very thorough and did a great job. I had a few questions for him and he did an excellent job answering them. I'm very satisfied. Also, this survey is a great example of why you have a great company. Review of service on 12/2022 I called National Refrigeration to report that water was dripping from a gray plastic pipe running from the front of the furnace and eventually emptying into a drain in the cement floor. I told them that, if there was a tech in the area, I'd like him to stop by and check out this annoying sounding drip. The HVAC system is only about three years old. A couple of weeks passed and I called again and scheduled to have a serviceman come by and see if there was a problem with the system. The gentleman was very polite and did a good job identifying the problem. The drip sound was from the upstairs unit's furnace dripping water into a pipe that connects with the aforementioned plastic drain pipe, I thanked the tech and was stunned when he told me that the bill would be $149.00. I told him that I had a $200.00 yearly contract, but he said this was a "diagnostic" evaluation. He was in my condo unit for about 30-35 minutes. I feel that I should have been made aware that there would be a charge for this "visit". Up to this point, I have been very happy with this company and have recommended them to 4 or 5 of my friends and neighbors. This was a most unpleasant experience to say the least.

I called when my AC stopped working during the last heat wave, being a new home owner I didn't have much knowledge about the system, it's set up in my house, or it's history. The woman who answered the phone was amazing; she asked my concerns and listened to what I had going on. She was so kind, and had excellent communication. She let me know someone could come out the same day(!!!) and kept me updated with the ETA of the technician (without asking!) I can not emphasize enough how much love, appreciate, and value good communication. Dave came to the rescue (right on time!) He was clearly very knowledgable and was able to swiftly diagnose the issue and replace the flux capacitor (just kidding - it was the run capacitor). He answered all of my million questions, and was so patient and friendly, despite the extreme heat he was having to deal with for the repair. He was also very kind to my overly friendly cat (if you have social pets, fear not!) I had just installed a nest thermostat myself and he optimized some of the settings to help with my lack of power and explained the prior thermostat was battery operated and took the time to show and explain some settings to make the nest system work better. I also decided to join the "comfort club" so he also did a nice cleanup of my system. By later that night my AC was completely back to working order and I feel good knowing the whole system just had a tune up since this is a newly purchased home and who knows when that was last done. Anyway, my thanks again for the quick and excellent service!

Always pleased with his service. Was right on time/ even a few minutes early. Explained what he was doing as he went along. showed me a couple of things I didn't know about the heating unit. Hi, today we had Samuel Gil from National Refrigeration visit our home to service our HVAC system. Samuel was very polite and courteous and got right to work. We had several questions and concerns to ask regarding the system and Samuel checked out each concern and answered each question with detailed explanations. Samuel was neat as he came in and out of our condo. Samuel performed maintenance on our HVAC system thoroughly checking the components. He also replaced the filter in the system. He completed the service by checking carbon monoxide levels at each vent. We thanked Samuel very much for his service and thank you National Refrigeration for having such experienced and efficient service staff. Also, we want to commend National Refrigeration for their customer service, who took our request for service and helped us schedule a date that worked for us. Also, their followup calls to remind us of our service date and time were very helpful. National Refrigeration, A great organization.

I recently purchased a home and noticed that there was water leaking from my bathroom fan. I was able to get someone to come out and check out the issue within 48 hours. Jarrod P came out and was very professional, thorough, and honestly quick. He was able to determine it was condensation caused by the extreme cold we have been having recently. He took photos to show me what the situation looked like in the attic and let me know he rearranged some insulation already there so it better surrounds the fan area. As part of a winterizing maintenance service David made sure the burner was functioning by calling for heat on all thermostats. He found air in the line of the air handler in the unfinished basement (near the burner), and resolved the issue by bleeding out the air in the pipe. He also vacuumed under and around the burner, as well as replaced an undersized screw on the thermostat in my son's bedroom.

Our scheduled time was between 8 &10:00. David arrived a little before 8 which was great. He checked inside to see where he needed to go...attic area. He had booties on his feet. This was a big plus as far as I was concerned. He was also masked. Another plus. He was upstairs doing what he does and then went outside to check the condenser. Did I mention he put in a new air filter for us. David spent more time examining our system, and cleaning the condenser than our previous company. Bob Okerholm installed a utility sink in my basement, which involved connecting a number of pipes and replacing an old drain. He was meticulous, thorough, and efficient, and tested all the connections very carefully. He also took time to explain what he was doing and answer my questions in a friendly, patient manner. I went to two other companies to get estimates before going to National. I prefer talking to people face to face and went to their location in Warwick, RI. My initial meeting was with a service supervisor, Brian K. Great first impression, Brian was courteous, professional and informative. He encouraged me to describe what my desires were in a new system and walked me through several pros and cons of the options available. He was definitely not trying to sell me on the highest end models and was more concerned about me being informed on potential decisions. Several days later Brian came out to the house to perform the estimate. Again, he was very informative as we discussed different options and expectations and got me a proposal within a day. National’s quote came in lower than the others and when dealing with their support department Doreen was professional, a pleasure to deal with.
