I located Briggs Mechanical using the Better Business Bureau website and when I visited their website noted they were a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor. Briggs Mechanical offered our family the most thorough proposal including installation, electrical set-up and financing options. We hired Briggs Mechanical to install a Mitsubishi Standard Heat Pump for our raised ranch home and we were very happy with their work. Their installation staff arrived at our home and proceeded to first lay protective covering from our front door to where they were to install the unit in our living room. The team took the time to speak with me at points during the installation to explain the work which they were completing. The Briggs Mechanical electrician arrived soon after the product installation to complete the full installation (and also was able to install an electrical outlet which was not working properly). Chris their salesman made his final visit and was able to demonstrate the use of the unit and how to understand the financing repayment. I am happy to recommend Briggs Mechanical for any type of ductless installation to your home.

I’m a first time customer of Briggs Mechanical. My existing heat pump system had to be replaced just under 6 years old. Did my research on energy efficient heat pump systems and called Briggs mid June 2022. Their first appt was 6 weeks out so I booked it. In the mean time I had 4 other companies give me estimates of the brands they sell. Was not impressed so far. Briggs Mechanical was my last appt. They were worth the wait! They’re the most professional organized HVAC company I’ve ever talk to or hired for service! Sales Rep Chris Instasi came first. Looked over the job. I told him what brand & model energy star rated heat pump I was interested in. Chris suggested the Bosch 20 seer high efficiency inverter heat pump system, Bosch Smart 2.0 Variable speed air handler 2 Ton with coordinating Bosch BCC100 WIFI digital programmable thermostat. This system was a few thousand dollars less than what I was inquiring about. Chris did a test email to my cellphone before he left. He said I will send you a job quote in 15-20 mins. I received the quote as stated good for 2 weeks. The job quote was a very detailed line item quote, just the way I want it which no one else has done. I paid the down payment within 1 week. Took 4 weeks for all the ordered equipment to come in. I booked the install 2 weeks later. It was a 2 day job. Service techs James & Arter were very professional and neat in their work. They explained everything. I asked for a picture of my new compressor up on my building roof. Air Dropped the photo to my cellphone. Salesperson Chris Instasi came back by appt 4 weeks after job install to look over the work, gave me a 3 hole binder book with my warranties all set up, a rebate application for my local electric company that I qualified for, Briggs service information and the 3 Bosch booklets for my models installed. Then I paid my remaining balance for the contract. I was amazed they didn’t require final payment on day job was completed! Briggs Mechanical Inc will be the only HVAC service I’ll need for now on! Thanks to all that work at Briggs! You’re the Best!

We selected Briggs for our min-split installation after getting two other estimates. Chris from their sales team spent at least an hour with us, really trying to understand what we were looking for, how we spend time in the house, what our expectations were. He got us a quote over the weekend, just as he said he would, and he answered multiple questions we had via email. Briggs was the best value, and they had also been recommended by friends who had used them. When the equipment came in, they scheduled us the following week. The installation technicians were great, very personable and professional. They kept our house neat and clean, were on time both days, answered all our questions, and finished a day ahead of schedule. We've already started using the downstairs unit for supplemental heat and can't wait to have a cool summer. We would definitely recommend Briggs, they did a great job!

Overall excellent experience with Briggs, from introduction to post-installation walk through. We had a full system removal and install of central air and furnace. Chris the sales rep knows the business, and right sizes the system to what you need, not what they need to sell. Very trustworthy company with honest pricing and recommendations. The system installers were also puncrual, clean, and presented a nice finished product, including finishing the look of our outside AC unit with garden stone. It looks excellent. Overall fantastic experience from beginning to end, and within a reasonable price for the high quality brands they offer.

Briggs installed two new replacements A/C units and air handlers in our home. Our prior system was 20 years old and ran on the old refrigerant so it was time for an upgrade. We had several quotes and while Briggs was a little more money, they definitely spent the most time going over our needs and wants. In the end we thought their service and professionalism more than made up for the slight premium over the other quotes. The team arrived on time and performed the install in just two days. They were very courteous and clean. At the end of each visit you wouldn't even had known they had been there. We are so happy we decided to go with Briggs. Highly recommended.

The work was done on schedule, employees were efficient, focused, respectful of my property, informative and very pleasant to deal with; Jimmy and Arter were the installers but the additional employees who assisted in the removal of the old units were all equally great. I also can't fail to mention Candice, the electrician, who was equally as pleasant, focused & efficient in her aspect of the install. Great job done by Briggs Mechanical. Since day one they were very responsive and professional during the whole process. As a plus they did it really fast. Took about 4 days to install six wall units plus 2 outdoor heat pump units. Special thanks to Chris Instasi who helped us with this process, Patrick Brogan, and Corey who worked on our house, completely alone for most of those 4 days. Really cool guy. Briggs' staff made a fairly difficult installation through crawl spaces underneath a family room uneventful and eliminated the need for outside electrical conduits. Both the electrical hook up and interior and exterior installation of the Mitsubishi mini split system were completed efficiently and cleanly. Extremely professional work. Last summer my AC was failing so I called Briggs Mechanical for a quote for an all new ducted system to be installed in my basement. I received a reasonable quote for the service and scheduled the installation. Although I had to bear it out with my failing AC last summer, Briggs came through and installed an all new system (in basement), removed my old system from attic, and cut a hole in my concrete wall from my basement to my crawl space to run new ductwork their as well as in the existing basement area in the fall. The personnel at Briggs were great to work with and very knowledgeable about their products. Thanks for all the great work Briggs!!! Even though their was a slight delay due to supply lines for equipment, my AC was up and running at the beginning of this summer and providing us with a quiet, cool and enjoyable breath of fresh cool air in our house. I held off submitting a review of Briggs until we had switched over from cooling to heating this year so I could accurately assess the whole install and in-use experience. Our AC failed last summer so we hobbled through the summer with old window AC units until we were ready to replace. We contacted Briggs and were put in touch with Chris. Chris visited our house and assessed our AC needs. Chris provided a number of quotes based on our discussions. He was on-time, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. There was ZERO pressure which myself and my wife appreciated. We ultimately decided to replace both our AC and furnace with Trane equipment. (Our furnace was old and coming to the end of its effective lifespan, so we opted to change out and start with a clean slate) We also had an additional return put in which turned out to be a GREAT addition!! The units were installed by Cam and James over two days. Both of these gentlemen were excellent. They installed both units and communicated well regarding the installation. The install went smoothly, and snags identified during the install were resolved. Both of these guys did great work! Post install, Briggs came back to balance the AC system so that all was optimal for the summer ahead. A big "thank you" to the service engineer who came to do this as he had to engage with an ornery chipmunk who paid the ultimate price when he ran from the base of the condenser and jumped into the rotating blades. The engineer cleaned everything up and had the AC balanced and ready for the summer ahead in short order. Additionally, I had multiple conversations/ emails with Diane at the office regarding signing off on contracts, scheduling the install, and filing of rebates. Diane was a real pleasure to work with! Briggs Mechanical were great to work with. The team there were simply NICE! No pressure, knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. An all-around great experience!! The Trane AC unit and furnace are working great!!!

I was very pleased with the service I received from Briggs. They were timely in their scheduling and arrival at my home. Peter, the technician, knew the issue with our heating system immediately and was upfront about the fact that it was an easy fix but not necessarily a cheap one. They honor appointment times to the minute. The install team showed up on time and couldn't have done a better job. They respected my home by putting down floor protectors from the door to the actual work space and made sure there wasn't any mess left from the install inside or outside. I replaced two gas furnaces with Amana , AC and two heat pumps with Bosch. I compared to four competitive bids and Briggs’s pricing was competitive and level of service over the past year has been great. We did have an issue on installation with oil that accidentally leaked out on the basement floor and a few dings in our basement steps from bringing the equipment in or out. Mike Briggs personally came out to the house to inspect those areas and got them repaired. I appreciated how he stood behind the quality of workmanship and followed up to ensure we were happy with it. It also took RI Energy a very long time to process our rebates but Chris and Mike followed up diligently with them to help us with that process. Overall we have been happy and would recommend them.

Highly recommend this organization. They did a complete A/C installation. Mike Briggs himself responded to the house and was very detailed in what the job was going to be. He took the time to explain and insure I understood the entire process. The guys he sent over were extremely professional and hard working. They took the time to explain what they would be doing and how the old system was going to be removed as well as going into detail on how the new one would be installed. They brought tarps and were very careful when doing both the removal and installation. They were hard working and made sure to clean up the work area completely at the end of each day. Vacuuming all the surrounding area as well. The entire process start to finish was completed in four days! Mike Briggs himself made sure to have me schedule an appointment once the system had been completely installed. It was great! He provided me with a bound notebook containing all the warranty and system information. He also took the time to explain everything as well as conducting a thorough inspection of the completed work. Briggs are real professionals. They just completed a ductless Heating & A/C installation at our home for all rooms using Mitsubishi products. Chris came out to do the walkdown and was very professional and more to the point (unlike others who bid) he listened to what we wanted and provided a quote based on the information gained from the visit. The install team lead by Cory installed 4 tons of A/C & heating capability without any unforeseen problems. They clean up all the mess at the end of each day. Use a combination of drop cloths and booties to keep the house spotless. The system is tied to our oil furnace to assure we gain the most efficiency in the winter with temperatures above 35F. Mike Briggs was out to the house a number of times to assure that we were all aligned prior to and during installation. Totally issue free. Chris is applying for our rebate and helped us with the 7 year interest free Energy Loan.

My furnace would not turn on and last year I had the central a/c removed. The tech came fast and on time. I got a call when tech was 20 min out. He fixed everything and installed my Google Nest for the 1 hr labor charge. Tech was nice and seemed knowledgeable. No complaints.

We had Briggs Mechanical at our house to service an older unit. I'm terrible with names and I don't remember our technicians name but he was punctual, polite, and thorough. There was some miscommunication from the office and the technician about what he was there for but he was able to get it squared away, explaining to me what happend and apologizing for the mix up. I was given an estimated arrival time of between 10a-12p. At 10:30 I got a call from the office just to let me know the tech would arrive in about an hour and he was right on time! He was honest about the repairs and cost. Ours is an older unit and he was able to present all of our options and the price for each option. He made sure that all of my questions were answered and that I understood the work and pricing involved in each option. Ultimately, we are going to replace our entire unit and will have Briggs Mechanical back to quote us and do the work.

I received several quotes for my HVAC work (heat pump with central air) and I went with Briggs Mechanical because it had the most thoughtful plan, a competitive price and a good reputation. I had very good experiences working with Chris, in sales, as well as all the techs who came to install the system. Then (!) I had insulation work in my attic done by another company and they damaged parts of the HVAC system. Briggs Mechanical was extremely helpful in helping me assess the damage and fix the problem. To me this is the sign of a great company. HVAC work is complex and expensive and you need a company who will be responsive when something pops up. I highly recommend Briggs. If you are getting a new HVAC system I recommend getting several quotes because it’s a good education and you will have an appreciation for the knowledge/information from Briggs Mechanical.

We chose Briggs Mechanical to install our A/C system this past fall and are glad we did. After 20 years of installing window A/C units every summer, we decided it was time to explore the cost of installing a central A/C system. I had heard about the Mass Save rebate program and thought this would help offset the costs. I contacted several contractors listed and endorsed on the Mass Save website. We meet with 3 contractors who provided estimates for various systems. After the initial Sticker Shock and reviewing their recommended systems, we decided the Mitsubishi heat pump mini split wall and ceiling cassette units were the way to go. This system not only provides A/C but also heat to offset the use of oil in colder months. Since the rebate covered almost 1/3 of the cost, it was a no brainer. We decided on Briggs Mechanical based on their initial presentation and the details included in the estimate. Chris, who was our initial contact, was very clear in his presentation of this particular system. He also walked us through the Mass Save loan/rebate process which was of particular interest. We took advantage of the no interest Mass Save loan program. Chris provided all the documentation we would need to submit in the application process. A few weeks later, Pat the project manager, walked through the house with me explaining exactly how the installation would be done. A week or so later, the installation began. Corey and Connor, the installers, did an amazing job running the lines and installing the 5 units. They came everyday with clean drop cloths and were very careful to ensure the work areas were spotless before they left. Corey set the system up on the Mitsubishi Kumo Cloud app allowing us to control it through the internet. Following the completion of the project, another appointment was scheduled with Chris to address any questions or issues we may have had. Briggs Mechanical took care of submitting all paperwork to Mass Save for the rebate. We are extremely pleased with the entire process from start to finish. All the staff in the field as well as the office are knowledgeable and professional. I would not hesitate to use Briggs again or to recommend them for any HVAC work.

I can't say enough good things about Briggs Mechanical! After researching a couple different companies to install a mini split system I decided to get a couple different quotes. The first company although having high reviews on google tried to up sell me big time recommending equipment I did not need for my situation! Chris from Briggs came by and listened to my needs and recommended a system perfect for my situation. This company has a high degree of integrity and professionalism. They show up exactly when they say they will and do exactly what has been planned on. The whole project went seamless from planning to completion. I had a Mitsubishi 18,000 BTU's cooling and 20,000 BTU's of hyper heating installed in my kitchen. The fist floor forced hot water base board in my house during normal cold works good. However during extreme cold my kitchen and living room would see temps of 60 degrees in the living room and 57 degrees in the kitchen. Now my kitchen and living room have been toasty warm during this latest cold snap with 12 and 16 degree temps at night. The T-Stat for the hot water baseboard barely calls for heat now. After the system was installed I could not even tell they were there as they cleaned up so well. Also they were done by 11:30 AM. Thanks Briggs Mechanical! I will look to Briggs for all my heating and cooling needs in the future. Chris from Briggs is great to work with and I highly recommend him he will even help you with any energy rebates.

My furnace was in need of maintenance and I wasn't sure what to do. I googled companies in my area that could service my furnace which is only 2 years old. I called a few companies but none of them seemed to care and couldn't come out. I finally decided to give Briggs mechanical a call. They answered the phone and immediately scheduled someone to come out and service my furnace the same day! The technician who came out was Roy Galloway. He was prompt and very friendly. He came in to have a look at my furnace and immediately got his gear and went to work on servicing my furnace. I never had my new furnace cleaned and serviced before and it showed by the amount of soot that was present. Roy was extremely knowledgeable and giving me a good education on furnace maintenance while working extremely hard to get my furnace in top shape. Roy took my furnace apart and throughly cleaned and inspected every bit of while explaining what he was doing so that I could understand. After he serviced my furnace he made sure it was running and in tip top shape. I'm extremely happy with the service and professionalism from Roy and he is definitely a class act. They definitely don't make them like Roy anymore. If you need your furnace serviced or repaired I'd HIGHLY recommend using Briggs mechanical and definitely ask for Roy Galloway! This past summer our AC compressor was leaking in the basement. The company who had installed it years ago was no longer in business and we could not get anyone to come to fix it. When we called Briggs, the woman who answered immediately set up an appointment a few days later. The service technician fixed the leak but noted that our furnace/AC (two systems as we added an addition to the house after it was built) were quite old. We called Briggs and after meeting with Chris decided to replace both systems. From the women we dealt with on the phone in the office to Chris, the salesman, to Patrick who came for a pre-installation check to the installers we found everyone we dealt with at Briggs to be professional, polite, knowledgeable, and competent. The installation of both systems took four days and each day new drop cloths were used, the work area was cleaned up and we were informed about progress. All of our questions were answered fully by all employees and everyone showed up on time as scheduled. We cannot stress the cleanliness enough from the trucks to the work areas, we didn’t have to clean up after anyone. Even our neighbors noted the shiny clean trucks and said they would use Briggs when necessary. We recommend Briggs highly for their professionalism, competence, cleanliness, knowledge and patience with our questions.

This is my second install with Briggs Mechanical. I had 5 Mitsubishi ceiling cassette's installed in my second floor. Worked with Chris over the winter to scope out the project. Due to some COVID related supply chain problems it took about 4 months after signing the paperwork and handing over the deposit for the install to take place. Another 2 months for some non essential sensors to arrive. In the meantime Pat came by to review the plan and the installers Cody, Sean and Brody did an awesome job and left the house clean after each day of work. While there were a couple of minor miscommunications between myself and the sales/project management and installers on what was expected, these were all rectified by pretty simple conversations that were handled professionally by the team. Before I called Briggs, I emailed our building neighbors for recommendations. In turn, I received several recommendations for Briggs. One neighbor took the time to share her own outstanding experience with Briggs who ended up replacing both her heating and a/c systems a month or so prior to my query. From the first call that I made to Briggs, I was impressed by their friendliness, helpfulness and exceptional customer service! I immediately knew that I made the right choice out of the myriad of options available. The technician, Peter, was incredible! He was polite, efficient, took the time to explain the service and took the time to answer questions I had about the system and it's expected lifespan, etc. Again, I was very pleased that I made the choice to work with Briggs. Following our maintenance service, we ended up having an issue with our air-conditioning. When I called the next morning, Renee was friendly, polite and wonderfully helpful and reassuring. She was very responsive to my needs and worked very hard to schedule a tech for the needed support! She worked her magic and the tech was able to come the same morning. I was thankful that it was Peter who was now familiar with our unit (although I am sure all of their techs are highly trained and equally as strong). Peter was able to quickly determine the issue and replaced the worn-out part. Based on my experiences to date, I will forever be a loyal Briggs Mechanical customer and have signed up for their annual service agreement. Additionally, when the time comes to replace both units, I will work exclusively with Briggs on the replacement. It can be challenging when you move to a new city and state, especially in terms of finding the right people to support your house maintenance needs. I installed the mini-split heating/cooling system the summer of 2019 installed and I couldn't be happier. The system is quiet and keeps the entire house very comfortable. Everyone at Briggs did a wonderful job. They were considerate and responsive and did a great job on the installation (I wouldn't even have known they were there). I got 3 estimates before deciding on Briggs and I know I made the right decision - they are professional and they did a great job. I highly recommend them and the Mitsubishi system! Unfortunately, after just 2 summers of using this system (only in the summer for cooling) realized that the pipes are leaking due to faulty materials. Apparently the insulation that wraps the pipes eats away at them causing leaks. The manufacturer warranties this for 1 year only so I am going to have to spend over $1000.00 in repairs in a 2 year old system. Very disappointed. While I don't believe this is the fault of Briggs my advice is make sure they are NOT using these materials if you opt for this system. Hopefully there will be a class-action lawsuit against the manufacturer which I will happily join.

Chris came out and went through the options to heat and cool our back family room that the previous owners put on but lacked heating and cooling. We chose to go with a Gree minisplit. Installation guys came out and made quick work of it and we're very friendly. Placement is exactly where we wanted it. So far the unit has been excellent keeping the room very comfortable even with outside temps hitting 8*. Unit runs nice and quiet. Looking forward to the summer months with A/C. We had the installation completed of the Mitsubishi Multi-Zone Heat Pump with two Wall Units. This will complete air and heat into 2 bed rooms and pretty much half of my second floor. We already have the Mitsubishi Air Con unit for our first floor and have loved it for several years. I found the pre and post installation meetings informative, no-pressure, and providing many options to consider. Chris's knowledge of how the systems work in houses was impressive and excellent for what we needed. The installation team from project manager to the installers was top notch. All were professional, considerate of our privacy, and by all means, clean throughout the house. The electrician was also very good in keeping the wiring orderly. Even the office people are delightful to work with. Very reactive to my calls. Overall, the two systems in the house by all means do their jobs and we are very satisfied. WOW! Just "WOW!" We solicited three bids. Briggs came in neck-to-neck with another company. Briggs identified a problem (that we thought we had), that was deemed as "not a problem" by the other company. We chose Briggs based on on-line reviews and from identifying an issue glossed over by their competitor. We paid more and are darn glad we had the extra remediation work done! On time, communicative and professional on ALL levels from, Sales, Installation Crew, and Office Support! A few days after the installation (A/C, furnace, hot water heater, and a mini-split) was said 'n done, I discovered a minor leak at the base of the water heater. I sent pictures and a note via text to the project manager - on a SUNDAY...expecting a response on Monday. Twenty minutes after I sent the text, he was at my door!! I had Briggs Mechanical do an install at my house with the Mitsubishi Ductless Splits. We chose to go with the ductless splits because our oil furnace was about 30 years old and inefficient with forced hot air. Briggs was the most reasonable out of about 5 other companies I researched for price quotes. They explained that these units to both AC and Heat. This is great because you can basically run the system from an app off your phone or off the remote and if you wanted to you could run separate zones or all zones. They system is tied to the furnace as a last effort if the temp does get in the negative teens. This system has great ratings as well as being energy efficient. We also got an excellent rebate through Mass Save. The staff at Briggs were professional, friendly, got the job done within the time frame they gave. They did a pre and post inspection to make sure all expectations were met by the customer and answered any questions. Also this system is quiet not only inside but outside as well. I was very impressed with the job they did and the employees that did the install. I would recommend anyone who is considering getting a heating or cooling system to speak with Briggs Mechanical to go over the options they offer!

I recently had a heat pump installed by Briggs Mechanical. All of the staff are great at communicating and were very informative at all levels from scheduling to final walk through. The real selling point for me was that Chris helped me assure that I would receive a rebate through Mass Save by confirming an exception through them. There was a question because there was no history of heating, which is required for Mass Save, since I purchased my home in May. None of the other estimators had offered any help regarding the question. The installers of the heat pump, I believe were named Cam and Shawn, were very professional. Minutes after the install was complete and they left, I had a small issue with the heat pump that I called the office about and they immediately turned around and checked it out. Turns out my issue was just a little water left over from testing the pipes for drainage and nothing wrong with the install. It was an overall great experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for heating and air. I checked out 5 companies in total for the same job since they were so different in their estimates and work styles. Briggs was more reasonably priced than most of them and definitely exceeded expectations for communication to the customer which is very important to me.

The entire house was without duct work and they made it happen. They wore masks making us feel safe. They fixed my bathroom vent no charge. This was appreciated. This experience started amazingly . We already had a home equity line of credit previously secured when Briggs Hvac employees informed me to apply for a no interest loan with masssaves. I had a Trane forced air A/C and gas heat system that had zero maintenance (except filters) for 27 years. The main blower motor recently failed but rather than repair such an old system I elected to replace it with new and more efficient technology. Naturally I wanted a Trane system so I called Briggs. I accepted their proposal though I was a bit concerned about their backlog and delay to start work. However, they wound up doing the install weeks before the promised date. I'm very pleased with the clean and neat installation - much better that my old system. It included a new programmable thermostat that required fishing a new wire . The gave several weeks after the install before to make sure the system was working properly before a doing final walk-though with me and collecting the balance due. Their office also took care of submitting my Mass Saves rebate claim. I'm very pleased.

This is the second home climate project that I contracted with Briggs to do. Last year they installed a Bosch boiler, indirect hot water heater (replacing a 28 year old boiler and hot water tank) for my home heating needs plus a Mitsubishi mini-split (replacing an Amana PTAC unit) to take care of heating and air-conditioning in my 4 season patio room. This month, Briggs installed 4 ductless Mitsubishi units (primarily for air-conditioning but they can also provide heat) in my home as installing a central air-conditioning system was impractical. During our annual spring maintenance appointment Peter uncovered a crack in our furnace heat exchanger. He immediately shut it down to keep us safe but that left us with no heat. Luckily it wasn't the dead of winter so we were able to get by with a few space heaters while we dealt with the situation. We immediately reached out to Mass Save & decided that since our Hot Water Heater was also 13 yrs old, now would be the time to look at converting to a Tankless System. From start to finish Briggs was absolutely perfect. We booked Briggs through the MassSave program to install a new ducted AC system in our 1960's ranch. We had 5 other quotes some higher some lower and while Briggs was just about the top of the budget the initial walkthrough is what sold us. Briggs was the only company that felt prepared for the job and that actually WANTED it. Many of the older guys came with triplicate carbon copy paper, wrote down things like "ducts" and "air handler" and of course "labor" but their walkthrough consisted of looking in the attic and measuring a few rooms and telling me what I need for the house. After that the left a carbon copy estimate with an end price but no line item prices. It all felt like these old timers were sitting on a stock room of outdated equipment that they would just slap up into the attic and hit me with a final price. Chris came out with a fully integrated computer system that showed us exactly how many linear feet of ductwork we needed, how large of an air handler we would need to hit every room equally, how many air vents and the location of them as well, and how efficient a SEER 6 vs a SEER 7 system was. Everything was detailed out so we saw the line item price by the linear foot with labor included. We worked it out together that some rooms did not need an AC vent and ductwork which would lower the cost of the project by specifically selecting which rooms required cooling. After all, who needs an AC vent in a 30 sqf 1960's bathroom? You would just be wasting money every time you ran your exhaust fan. They measured every room and first asked me where I would like vents, and then helped me understand where I might not necessarily need them and more importantly where I absolutely did. The job began every day at 7:30AM SHARP. these guys were never late. never had to "go back to the shop" and were honestly extremely quiet. Our kids are in virtual online school and the crew would literally whisper to each other while the remote classes were in session so as not to distract my 1st grader. The electrician they brought on the job was excellent as well. His name is Peter Perella, for anyone who needs an excellent and professional electrician please look him up. Peter would have little side conversations with our 3 year old who desperately wanted to clip on a tool belt and get to work himself. He talked to me about the other various electric projects we had going that week and he even talked to the building department for me so we could get all of our electric jobs tied up in a single inspection. It all felt like people who WANT to be working on a family home instead of people who were there for a paycheck. 4 days later and we had crisp ice cold air pumping through the house and it is ABSOLUTELY SILENT. If you are hesitant about a quote that is at the edge of your budget. Please consider Briggs. The difference in quality of work, and quality of product between quotes that are different by maybe $1000? over a 7 year Mass Save program is negligible, we are talking $11 per month difference. The difference in the service and equipment from the other guys means less frequent and cheaper house calls for maintenance or repairs over the lifetime of the system.

After 10 years of installing window units in my home, my wife and I decided it was time to get a more permanent system installed. We reached out to a handful of different companies and went through the quote / design process. Of all the places we dealt with, only Briggs walked through our house taking into account all the odd designs and built a system custom to our home that would cool the whole house as efficiently as possible. Their installation team was top notch. An incredibly pleasant group of qualified installers stormed our house. At the end of each day, you'd be hard pressed to know that they had been there. Incredibly clean and a solid eye for detail. I cannot speak highly enough of Briggs and their team. They are everything you want in a contractor that you let into your home. Update: I'm dropping my rating down to 3 stars. Our bedroom unit was defective and has a leak causing the machine to run too cold causing it to make loud clicks. Techs have been out to investigate, and last I was told my unit needs to be replaced. It's been weeks of silence from the company. The unit in my living room is also making noise, and I was told it would be investigated after replacing the unit in my bedroom. Rolling into November, I do not have a fully functioning unit and have been waiting to hear back from Briggs.

We had Brigg's Mechanical install a new conventional central a/c system to our colonial. We don't have any existing ductwork so he had to run ducts through our closets on the second floor to access the ceiling on the first floor. The work done was very clean and thorough. The ductwork that was installed through the closets are a little big and wrapped in a reflective insulation but they are in the corners so are hidden as best as they can be. The owner, Mike Briggs, is very helpful and informative and was very easy to deal with. Any calls to him have been easy and a quick response which is a little rare with contractors. He has been in the HVAC business for a long time and it really shows. I would highly recommend anyone to consider Mike for their HVAC needs.

We are so happy with our new Trane high efficiency furnace and air conditioning units, installed by Briggs Mechanical in North Attleboro in April, 2017. Our experience was so satisfying that we felt compelled to write this review. Our 23-year-old Amana furnace, with 80% efficiency, was dying a slow death and every winter we'd be out of service several times. We did our research and had 4 companies come out and discuss options. Three of them tried to sell us junky systems for a lot of money. But when Briggs came by, they took the time to thoroughly document the air flow through our house and determine the most efficient system for us. They took the time to explain how 2 stage furnaces work with variable speed motors. We decided on the Trane S9V2 96%AFUE furnace and a Trane 3-ton XL18i condenser for air conditioning. In addition, we purchased a Trane Clean Effects air purification system, which is attached to the furnace. This eliminates the need for buying and changing out furnace filters every month. We also purchased a XL50 Comfort Link II thermostat, which is both state of the art technology and visually appealing. It is very easy to adjust. That said, it cost us a bit more than what the other companies had suggested. But we felt confident that it was the best system on the market and confident in Briggs mechanics, if anything were to ever go wrong (which it hasn't). We qualified for rebates through the Mass Save program...and also were granted a Mass Save Heat Loan, which is at 0% interest for 7 years! The process took about 6-8 weeks and Briggs submitted their paperwork to Mass Save in a very timely manner on our behalf. The installation was complicated due to tight spacing in our furnace room, in the garage. New PVC piping had to be installed & much more work. The Briggs workers were very professional and efficient. Both systems were fully replaced and operational within 2 days. There was one slight glitch (a switch left in the off position) but one call and they came right out and flipped the switch and everything worked 100% properly. Currently, we are paying about $145/month (interest free Mass Save loan) but we are saving way more than that. Our electric bill in the summer dropped from $225 on average to about $100 or less on average and our gas bill has dropped from about $230 on average in the winter to less than $100 !! And, National Grid says we are ranked "great" compared to other efficient neighbors, whereas we were consistently in the worst category before. But more importantly, we have the comfort of knowing the system will be working when the next below-zero arctic blast comes roaring through (like it's been for the past 2 weeks). The heat in the house is very uniform -- with this system, we get even and quiet heat -- we don't get a sudden blast of very hot air, like we did with our previous system. Anyway, thanks much to Chris Instasi, our very informed and efficient salesperson, and to the entire staff at Briggs for getting the job done well. By the way, our neighbor next door highly recommended Briggs Mechanical because they did his system a decade ago...which sealed the deal in our minds (after we'd already decided to go with Briggs). Highly recommend the company.

We had a ductless AC put in our house in December 2016. Not only was Briggs patient while we made our decision, they were the only ones who explained every step and what was needed. Since we took so long to make a decisions they installed the AC during one of the coldest weeks in the December. The most honest review that I can give is my email message to the sales person and project manager that I sent immediately after the installation was complete: Pat / Chris, I just wanted you to be aware of what happened during the installation of our heat pump and how Cam, Sean, Pete and Dave conducted themselves. Professional and Knowledgeable from Chris taking his time to go over all the options, to Mike the owner doing a walk through before the work started in order to make sure that there all questions were answered and to make sure we wouldn’t have any surprises. The techs ( Pete, Jeff and Jake ) showed up on Day 1 and went right to work. They made sure they cleaned up behind them as they worked, Very polite and kept us informed throughout the entire progress. They went through all the features once the work was completed. Chris came back approximately a week after the work was completed to perform a walk through to verify all the work was performed as requested and to make sure we were satisfied as well as review all the features again.
