I recently had an A/C unit installed by Pyramid. We tried to book early (in March) to ensure the work was done prior to summer. The work, billing, and inspections were communicated clearly and scheduled promptly. When the initial install had trouble, and a critical failed part was on order for an inordinate amount of time, leading up to the summer and recent heat waves, the folks at Pyramid went above and beyond to get the unit repaired ASAP, culminating in a full replacement which went off without a hitch. The service and responsiveness of the folks at Pyramid was fantastic, exactly what I was looking for when I opted to work with a local business. My family and I couldn't be happier with the outcome - thanks again to everyone at Pyramid!

We had Pyramid come and make repairs to our a/c. The HVAC unit broke in the middle of the 100 degree weather. The original installer (Apex) did not come a d diagnose properly. When Pyramid came out, Victor, made as many fixes as he could to help remedy for a short period of time but recommended putting UV dye in the lines to see if there were any more leaks that can't be seen. I'm very glad he did this because the lines froze up again and we were without cold air in the middle of the heatwave yet again. Victor made final repairs that are holding up without issue. Victor came to the house a total of 3 times and each time was so kind. He was processional and thorough. He treated all the spaces in the home as if they were his. He definitely went above and beyond with his work. I am so thankful my children can sleep in their rooms safely now. Thank you Pyramid! I highly recommend Pyramid to anyone needing HVAC work done.

From the beginning, we had a wonderful experience with Pyramid Heating & Cooling. Ellen was a pleasure to schedule services with. We had someone come out to take a look at our furnace and make sure that it was in working order. Our furnace is very old, and we knew that it was making a clunking sound. Deon diagnosed the issue, in that we needed a new motor to the furnace. He found the the part, drove to pick it up and installed the new motor all in the same day. He was courteous, prompt and very professional. We had another person from Pyramid Heating scheduled to come out the next day to do duct cleaning. Dale arrived on time, was courteous and did a wonderful job cleaning the heating ducts and dryer vent. I am so glad that I called this company to do this work. My experience with Pyramid excelled from the beginning sales contact through to final installation and customer support followup. I met with multiple companies for free bids on a new HVAC system for an older home I had just purchased. Pyramid was the only one that first assessed whether they could save the existing HVAC. Ultimately determined for long-term cost effectiveness a new HVAC was needed. Dave Salholm (Sales) answered every single question I had to ensure that prior to my final acceptance of the bid that I was comfortable with the company, the system, and the warranty/ongoing customer care. Bryce (installation lead) led the 2-day install job and exceeded my expectations on the care of install, final clean-up and ensured all my questions were answered before he left. Additionally, Bryce improved how a condensation line had been previously installed to be both physically improved and visually appealing. He did NOT have to do that as part of the install and I found his work ethic pointed to a company leadership that takes care with how they hire their staff. I have already recommended Pyramid to a few people. As long as Pyramid keeps supporting me as well as they have so far, I will continue to recommend and use them!

Five stars for my technician, Randy. He was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and answered all of my questions. I had some concerns that I addressed with him and he shared the company will follow up with me after further, more detailed review. I chose Pyramid because they installed my system as a new build and I figured they’d be familiar with the layout. Randy confirmed my suspicions that there were airflow issues on my second level (no damper was installed on the second level duct) and it could possibly be error of the initial installation. I’ll be back to update this review after I see how Pyramid handles this from here. Again, Randy was wonderful! Highly recommend this technician.

Of course I always wince and moan when they tell me how much it's going to cost, but it would cost the same elsewhere but without the great service!

Justin was very professional, very thorough and explained everything he did. Feel very good about the service and would happily recommend them to anyone! Pyramid heating and cooling go above and beyond! 2 years ago they installed our furnace and The service and quality was excellent, but the true test comes when something needs repair quickly. Our air conditioning unit was initially installed by another company. Turns out, it was installed improperly and was working at half capacity! We had an inspection for our home sale and a puddle was found below our main vent in the crawl space. We had no idea what was causing this. Despite how busy it is this time of year for AC issues, and the difficult diagnosis of the problem and locating the proper parts, Pyramid stepped up, and got the parts and squeezed us in on the only day available before our home closing! Victor and his partner Randy were outstanding! They were on time, professional, courteous and explained everything to us! They did their due diligence and I felt so confident in the result. I would use this company for all heating and cooling needs in the future! Plus I love working with the customer care team Deanna and Jennifer; both are great communicators!!!

Great service! Our technician Randy was awesome. He did an excellent and thorough job cleaning our ducts and vents using a vacuum and a brush to get all that caked on dirt and dust. It was way overdue. He answered all our questions about our HVAC system with knowledge and professionalism. He was also very focused, attentive and didn't waste any time getting right to work. I have a carrier high efficiency furnace that had a bad secondary heat exchanger. Victor came out to diagnose, and was very knowledgeable and professional in guiding me through my options. Parts were ordered and 2 days later Spencer came to install. He was also very knowledgeable and professional. Great experience with Pyramid. I had a strange noise in my ducts and needed them cleaned. Pyramid was less than half the cost for cleaning as another company I called ($350 vs $900). Randy did a fantastic job finding and correcting the noise too! A duct in the crawl space needed to be strapped up better. We are so happy to have that fixed, and he didn’t even charge more than the cleaning. I highly recommend Pyramid. Fantastic experience!!!

Randy came out to check out our furnace and air conditioning. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also showed us that our furnace has a damper and how to adjust it through the seasons. We just purchased our home and thought we should have the HVAC system checked out and we are glad we did as he found a problem with the motor. My wife was complaining about a noise that she heard when the system started up and sure enough there was a problem. We are glad he came out now as opposed to when the system breaks down. It was money well spent!!!

I could not be more pleased with Pyramid. A few weeks ago a breaker on our furnace tripped. We had an emergency service and the person showed me. how to set the breaker if it happened again. Last week it tripped again and started going off every 30 minutes. I figured I needed a new furnace so I called some local companies and checked Home Advisor. Pyramid came by and their consultant suggested that I first have a technician check out the furnace. I scheduled an appointment and this Wednesday Keith came by and did some diagnostics. He told me it was the secondary heat exchanger. He also told me that Carrier had issued a Bulletin about the heat exchangers possibly being defective and that he could replace them at no cost. He also advised me that the blower was not performing well and recommended I have that replaced as well. I agreed and the following day I got a call that the parts had arrived and could be replaced that day. Keith came back and within a couple of hours we were back up and warm. Had these folks not been ethical they could have just sold me a furnace for $8K or so and I would not have known better. If I ever need service again there is only one company I would consider calling

After being stood up for a maintenance appointment without an explanation or phone call by another heating and air condition company I decided it was time for a change. My first call was to Pyramid Heating and Cooling as I had heard good things about them. I was not disappointed. Everything about Pyramid was first rate from beginning to end. When I called their office for the first time Nichole took the time to explain to me what Pyramid offered for furnace maintenance. She was very friendly, professional, efficient and easy to talk with. I scheduled furnace maintenance with her for one time so that I could see how timely and efficient the technician was. The day before my scheduled service Nichole called to confirm my appointment. How nice was that! The next day the technician Deon arrived right on time as promised. Deon introduced himself, presented me with a business card and showed me his company picture identification badge. Deon was very courteous, friendly and professional. He made a very good first impression on me. While Deon inspected the furnace I observed and asked questions as they came to mind. Deon was efficient and definitely knew what he was doing. As he worked he was always happy to answer my questions and explain every step of the inspection process. Deon did not rush through the job. He took his time and made sure he did a thorough inspection. All in all the furnace maintenance call was a very positive experience. I was so impressed with the overall performance of Pyramid Heating and Cooling that at the completion of the call I decided to sign up for a yearly furnace maintenance plan. I mentioned this to Deon and he made one short call to Nichole and I was signed up for yearly furnace maintenance. All companies should be as efficient and nice to deal with as Pyramid Heating and Cooling. Thank you for a job well done from start to finish.

I have always been pleased with how efficient and professional pyramid heating and cooling has been. The technician Michael has been a joy to work with. A new technician came today, Deon, who was rude and unprofessional. He was misinformed and tried to charge me 3x what was quoted. This may be a glitch in their system with how many mini splits I have. But I turned him away due to his unprofessional behavior. I would have paid it but did not want this technician in my home. He could have handled it differently.

Don't we all dread it when you go turn on the furnace and it doesn't work... I immediately picture a visit to Jiffy Lube to have my oil change and the team member explains if my car does not have at least 3 services, they are not responsible for my disabled vehicle...We all know the story. I went down the Google reviews and found Pyramid Heating. Hopped on their website and realized my search now rolled into after hours. I went on the online chat and listed my information and brief description. Shortly after I had an email regarding an appointment for the very next morning. Wow -Great!! Currently the town is experiencing a "Stay at Home" request from the Governor and only a handful of businesses are open. I wasn't sure if anyone would be able to come out to begin with. The next day a really nice man named Keith arrived. He was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and figured out the problem really fast. He got it back up and running, provided some helpful tips and suggestions on what we could do to have the furnace running smoothly. I was so please to hear how reasonable their prices are. Finally my bill $170. Next day service? I didn't have to buy 3 services and sign a year long maintenance membership agreement! Keith was really an A+ knowledgeable guy who truly is an asset to Pyramid. I really appreciate this company even during our countries hard time. This really should be your first call when your searching for a Heating and Cooling company. I'm thrilled to now have my new go-to business. Highly recommend!!

Our house was built in 2006. We bought the house in September 2017. One of our two 14-year-old heating systems failed just as the colder weather came upon us. Our main floor system was dead. A neighbor recommended Pyramid and I am so glad he did. Our Pyramid service tech, Deon, was so personable and forthcoming about all he found out about our failed old system. He explained each step he took to diagnose the problems and the potential for repairing it. He got the system "up and running" for now. His inspection of the second system revealed a significant leak in the unit. It's on it's last legs, too. Deon shared all the relevant information about that furnace/heat pump, too. Now, we can have a few days to evaluate the replacement of the 2 furnaces and 2 heat pumps we have in our 6,000 sq. ft. home. I believe that part of the cost of the home visit will be applied to a new system in case we purchase from Pyramid, so that's an added bonus. Great work, thorough explanations! Update: 2-9-2021 Our service technician, Deon, just left. He performed a maintenance on the system installed a year ago. All functioning just great! We continue to appreciate Pyramid's top flight services.

This is our second year having Pyramid perform annual maintenance on our furnace, A/C, and tankless water heater. The experience was great, all around. This review is to report on Tony who is the extraordinary service technician who came for my first experience with Pyramid Heating. There were a few issues and questions regarding what was needed to replace the UV light kit system as it is apparently not a common one. He was smart and focused with a quick investigation and was able to provide clarity and peace of mind for me quickly. Tony is unusually patient and kind which is what I needed that day. I am glad I called Pyramid and very very grateful that a guy like Tony showed up! I feel quite sure that I will be able to rely on Pyramid Heating and Cooling for service twice a year now for A/C and furnace.

Professional, trusting, and efficient. They caught an issue with my newer furnace that I didn't even know about. Apparently during the install, it was never configured correctly to have the High turn on - only Low. Pyramid heating recognized this through a regular maintenance check and configured the unit. Handbook was hard to find online, and we didn't have one as it was a floor model installed by previous home owners. Glad Pyramid does good work.

This firm is one of the most fair and honest heating and cooling firms I have ever used on my rental properties. Randy (Technician for Pyramid) had just pulled up to service my neighbors furnace so I ran over and asked him a question about my own inoperative furnace in my property. Randy was kind enough to come over immediately after he repaired my neighbors furnace and in 2 minutes he discovered that I had incorrectly wired a new thermostat which was blowing out a fuse in the furnace which he quickly replaced. During the recent wildfires and resulting heavy smoke, we consulted Pyramid Heating and Cooling for advice on how to mitigate the smoke in our home. They suggested an air purifier in addition to changing our furnace filters daily. These guys are easy to work with. We have the 3-year maintenance plan and, even though it’s a lot of money up front, it really is worth it. We didn’t want to be caught with a big issue from not maintaining our systems so regular maintenance was smart, and the priority service from being a subscriber came in handy when the huge fires blew smoke in and our furnace needed a service. We got prioritized adequately and I could have asked for even sooner if we’d needed it. The service techs always put on booties and are efficient, professional, and polite. They’ll answer all my random questions, too, like “What’s this light do?” And “Why do I need to have the fan on override?” Finally, I was really impressed with the reception staff when they helped me find filters cheaper online than what they could offer if they brought them. Seemed so thoughtful of saving me money rather than trying to nickel and dime me. (FilterBuy is the place to go for filters, by the way.)

TL:DR - Incorrect/Misleading diagnosis. Suggested we buy a new furnace by red flagging our furnace. Our furnace is 100% normal. We had Pyramid come give us a diagnosis on our furnace after a carbon monoxide alarm went off 1 time. The service tech wore a mask and was pleasant to deal with. The tech determined the furnace was bad by highlighting the color of the flame being orange and not blue. This was the only test he performed which should have been a red flag but I didn't know any better. After getting a second opinion from a company who is a preferred supplier of the furnace manufacturer, they confirmed there is nothing wrong with our furnace/heat exchanger. This tech used a carbon monoxide tester in the air flow and used a mirror/scope to determine the health of the furnace/exchange. The flame also stayed blue and he showed me how 'some' service techs trick people into thinking their furnace is bad by blowing into the flame causing it to be orange. I'm so incredibly happy I got a second opinion as that cost me a service charge instead of a new furnace. I really hope this tactic was not used on purpose to try and get us to buy a new furnace of a competing model manufacturer. Pyramid quoted us for a new furnace and failed to mentioned just the heat exchanger could be replaced. I understand the part would be very expensive for Pyramid to replace as they are not a Trane dealer but they could have at least given me that option. I called 2 other companies and they both suggested that pyramids initial diagnosis didn't seem right and advised I get a second opinion. One even mentioned that Pyramid was a good company so perhaps I just got a bad tech. Judging by the other reviews, the company is great so maybe this was just a fluke. I guess the lesson is always get a second opinion.

I depend on experts to help me in areas I know nothing about...as is the case in a boiler in my basement...However I feel taken advantage of by Pyramid...They performed a routine seasonal service and indicated we had a valve that needed to be replaced...this seems to be the case every time our furnace is serviced...however in this case, not only was I charged for the service call, I was quoted $425.00 additional labor and part to install the valve (15 minutes tops, I was there)...I found identical part on ebay from $49.99-$129. I feel molested...I called their attention to this disparity in pricing, the service man said, "I don't set the prices!", but called his supervisor to get us a discount down to $334.00...final bill for 1.5 hr maintenance/service & part, $583.00.

Pyramid Heating & Cooling has serviced our house in the past so we used them again this year for furnace and a/c check up. Our tech was Deon, nice guy, explained stuff. But he said since our a/c made noise it meant there was a leak & probably needed replaced. He would have the office send us an estimate. I told him we've been in this house 8.5 years and the a/c has always made the noise (which is low) and the previous techs didn't say anything about a possible leak. I mentioned our neighbors a/c does the same thing, he said then hers has a leak too & probably needs replaced. We replace our paper filter about every other month. Deon showed us ours (yes it was dirty) then showed us a metal looking filter (didn't know we had one) as previous techs didn't show us that. He said the metal looking one was bad so he threw it away & put another paper one in (we had a new one waiting for the switch out). Now it makes me wonder if the previous techs didn't do their job & bring this stuff to our attention or this guy went a little overboard? Guess we'll never know...

I have been waiting to write my review until we have had a chance to really enjoy our new mini-split heat pump, which was installed at our cabin on Mt. Hood. Alas, weather has conspired to keep us away! So for the moment I will review the team: What a terrific group of people, from the salesman through to the nice guys who came and spent a very cold day installing the unit, they were an impressive bunch. Great communicators, polite, friendly highly skilled and very thoughtful. Brian and I came up with an installation plan when he visited the cabin to give us an estimate, and the installation team arrived right on time, ready to carry it out, but devised an even better one on the spot. They were efficient, and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. And I can tell you that on a 31-degree day, when the final hook up was complete and we hit the on button, the air coming into the cabin measured a toasty 94-degrees. So, if the snow ever actually melts enough for my family to get back up there, I am confident it will be warm and cozy. I whole heartedly recommend Pyramid. What a terrific company!

Excellent all the way around. My old gas furnace needed to be replaced. I also wanted to add air conditioning. I called three HVAC companies who were top rated. The first one gave me a quote for a Lenox gas furnace and air condition. The salesman at Pyramid gave me that option but also let me know that a Carrier Heat pump might be a better solution as it is much more eco-friendly as it doesn't use gas and it heats and cools. Awesome. His quote was actually $3,000 less than the gas furnace / AC combo. The 3rd company said I could do a heat pump, but I would still need a gas furnace for when it gets colder than 35 degrees. His quote was $7000 more. Naturally, I went with the more eco-friendly solution that was less money. No brainer. The day of the installation came. They said they would be at my house around 9 and it would take all day. They showed up at 8:45. Masks on the entire time. Knocked on the garage door anytime they needed to talk to me. Took their shoes off (without being asked) anytime they needed to come in the house. Excellent communication throughout the day. Nice clean work with everything they did. Finished right about 5pm. Explained everything to me. I was very impressed with the entire process. PS. Looking forward to this summer to have central air and not have the window a/c's anymore.

heres the story. We had our roof done last week and noticed that the very day the roof was finished, we’d run out of hot water and our furnace was no longer turning on. We called pyramid and were placed to speak with an after hours technician (Deon) who walked me through all of the normal checks. Not once did he make me feel like I should know any of the information or questions he asked. He was very knowledgeable and kind and sympathized with our situation. After talking for about 40 minutes, we determined that it may actually be an issue for Nw natural to advise on. NW natural confirmed that our hvac vent was blocked/ filled with something and that in the end we should reach out to our roofer as well as have it looked at by an hvac specialist. I called pyramid hoping to get a same day visit and was advised that they were booked until next Wednesday. This was crushing. I believe I spoke with Nicole who listened to my frantic story and said she would try to get us in for after hours the next day but that she would see what else she could do. On my way home from work that very same day she called me again and said that specialist Randy was just getting off work but would come by our house on his way home to take a look at the situation. Randy was also very kind and knowledgeable and determined that our hvac vent in the attic was gone and that the hole that should be venting was covered in insulation. He advised that he would need to come back tomorrow with an additional person to find the hole and reconnect the vent to outside. Even though our issue is not yet resolved, I have been very satisfied with the level of service given by every single Pyramid employee I’ve spoken to. We had them do work on our hvac 2 years ago and the service was memorable enough then that we opted to use their service again. Highly highly recommended!

My mini-split unit stopped cooling in early August, during those triple-digit hot days. When turned on, unit cooled for 10 min. or so, then the fan stopped and the system just hummed. I called Sky Heating, since they'd done "regular maintenance" on the system last April. They didn't know what was wrong. (See my yelp review for Sky Heating for details). So I called Pyramid. They were swamped, couldn't schedule me for a few days. But I know they are familiar with mini-splits so I said OK and took the first appointment available. Spencer was the tech they sent. How great was he? When I turned on the unit it seemed to work. Spencer said no problem, let's let it run for a while. He checked circuits, told me about the training he'd had on these units, did some cleaning as the machine continued to work PERFECTLY, darn it! Then we went outside to look at the pump. And when he opened the pump, the cooling stopped inside and the unit went into it's usual humming non-activity. So, turns out the folks doing 'maintenance' had apparently never looked at the pump - at least when I was here no one ever asked to see it. Spencer cleaned out the pump, and cool air began to flow into my hot house. And Spencer lingered a while longer to make sure nothing else was wrong. I highly recommend Spencer particularly and Pyramid in general.

Dan thoroughly explained the Aeroseal process and then promptly followed up when I decided to go for it. The crew that came out to do the work, Rick, Alexsis, and Gabe did a fantastic job. They skillfully covered all surfaces and were careful to keep things clean and protect any furnishings. Actually, if I hadn’t been there to watch I probably would never have known they were there. As to the Aeroseal process. It’s only been a day since but there is no detectable smell and my house feels warmer already. The printout report showed how much the Aeroseal sealed the ventilation — an 89.9% reduction in leakage. I can’t wait to see how this will effect my heating bills. I highly recommend this company.

During the last heat spell, I turned on my airconditioning for the first time since I had a new furnace and thermostat installed by Pyramid. The air compressor did not come on, only in fan. I called Pyramid. They sent someone out the same day. The problem was that my new, "smart" thermostat and furnace and my old, dumb air compressor were not communicating with each other. It took a lot of time and troubleshooting, but in the end, I was only charged for the new air filter that I had also asked them to bring. Even though this was the correct and ethical thing to have done, since the entire system should have been workong togeather; here are many companies out there that would have tried to charge something extra anyway.

No issues at all. However, the administrative side of this experience was less than one star. As part of my initial call to request service, I emailed a photo of the repair to better prepare the tech. Athen was at a disadvantage right from the start since his documentation not only didn't describe the repair well, there was no photo attached. One more example (but there were many such frustrations.) I specifically asked to have Athen return for the 2nd part of the repair (all according to plan.) When I received a call for scheduling, I was told "a technician" would be back out. Again, I had to re-inform the office that I wanted Athen to complete the repair. That required more calls and more delays. Very unfortunate to have such a quality tech, but with inept behind the scenes support.
