Brian and Sam were incredibly professional, clean and respectful of my home. They persevered through the heat and humidity and never complained. Absolutely Fabulous! The people at Service First really exemplify their name. They take excellent care of you like you were their most important customer. My central air unit died in the heat of the summer, it knowingly was on its last leg. They got me a new unit as quickly as possible and installed it perfectly. Several months later, when my heater had problems, I knew they were the right choice to fix my problem. I had such phenomenal experiences, there was no doubt who I need to call. Not only can they fix your current equipment issue but they also look out for you long term and find the suitable solution for your needs to avoid unnecessary costs and callbacks. This new home for me has been a little bit of a challenge but Service First has been my Ace in my pocket. A real life saver!

We had an AMAZING experience with Keith. He was able to come out super quickly, he diagnosed the problem with lightning speed (another company had previous mis-diagnosed). He had specific parts to repair and did the repair efficiently. His communication was terrific. October 2022 update: Unfortunately, we needed a new water heater and we hired Service First to do the job. Aside from a clean and professional install, the craftsmanship is absolutely perfect. It’s a shame that the beautiful job they did with the copper plumbing is hidden away in the basement. It’s obvious that these guys take pride in their work. That’s a sign of a good boss and a successful business. We had a minor equipment failure that needed immediate attention, so I placed a call to Service First. Roman called me back almost immediately and was at my front door within the hour. The diagnosis was fast and accurate, the price was very reasonable. We’re new customers having switched after using another local contractor for over 30 years and couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Service First.

Service First Heating & Air Conditioning saved the day for me years ago on a Friday before the 4th of July holiday weekend when my A/C stopped working and yes it was 98 degrees out that day. Roman arrived within hours, looked over the unit, reviewed the repair needed, price, and had the part replaced within hours. Unit is still going strong. Roman is very knowledgable, great at answering questions, prompt, and polite. Since that holiday weekend years ago, I only use this company for all my heating and cooling needs. Bill and Tom installed central air conditioning in our 1950’s home and new addition. They were courteous, worked diligently and were pleasant to have in our home. Other contractors commented on their professionalism and the fact that they worked steadily and were not focused on their phones. Once the installation was complete, Bill guided us through the set up for wireless connections from our phones to the thermostat and reviewed how to use and properly maintain the system. Roman is very professional, very dependable, and extremely knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning. He is always on time, his work is very thorough and clean, and we are very happy that we have an annual maintenance contract with Service First. They provide two maintenance checkups per year, which many times has helped us avoid our system breaking down in the middle of the winter or the summer, because Roman was able to replace any worn parts before a breakdown ever occurred. I cannot recommend Service First enough. I read the great reviews online but decided to ask a friend if he knew of a reliable local HVAC company. He said call Service First, they're great. So I called. Roman checked out the unit and suggested that I should consider a replacement. Brent came over to give me an estimate. He took the time to tell me exactly what I would need and why I would need it and which manufacturers Service First uses. The next day Brent emailed two detailed estimates, each in a different price range. No pressure, no hard sell. On the appointed day Brian and Rob showed to do the installation. Their courteous and friendly demeanor was surpassed only by their skill and efficiency. The completed install went smoothly and quicker than I had expected. If it weren't for the power tools I probably wouldn't have even known they were here, lol. All in all, a great experience for such a major undertaking. Great job, guys!

Removal of old systems and the installation of the new ones went well, except one catch tray under the condenser coil had a crack. It most likely was a shipping damage, because it became visible only after the test.

I highly recommend Service First Heating & Air Conditioning! After signing an agreement of sale for a home that needed a new HVAC system and new water heater, I learned from the home inspector that it wasn't safe to use the heater. The heat exchanger was cracked and it was a safety hazard. My realtor contacted Jody Kirk and had him assess the system so I could request a credit from the seller. Jody promptly provided a written report confirming that the system wasn't safe to operate so I was able to get money toward the repair. While he was there he provided estimates for a new system. He told my realtor they could do the install close to my settlement date which was early November. I was planning on getting another estimate from a friends son who is in the industry, but after he reviewed what Jody provided he told me it was a great estimate. He told me with everything on back order if they can get all of the equipment, and if they are able to complete the job the week of my settlement, that I should use them. After I signed and returned the contract I was immediately contacted by Jody to get me on the schedule. I was told the owner Brian would be doing the installation so that they could squeeze me in on a Saturday, two days after my settlement. Jody assured me would do whatever they could do to get everything necessary for a complete installation of the system, but they would at least make sure I had heat. I can't thank them enough for doing everything in their power to make sure I had my system installed as promised.

Words can not explain how happy I am to have found a company this extraordinary. I was looking to replace my 33 year old furnace and air conditioner and as well as find a company I could trust to maintain it going forward after getting the runaround and price gouged from the company I had been using for service over the last couple of years. I dug in and got recommendations and quotes from more than a few different companies in the area, had them in the house, asked them questions, etc and along the way got a feel for their technical knowledge, prices, honesty and how they treat customers. You get a good feel for who is being upfront and who isn't and who just doesn't know what they are talking about. Service First listened to what I wanted in a new system, helped me through the selection process and had a reasonable and competitive price as well. My installers did a great job of not only respecting my home but also by taking the time to explain things when I had questions. Service First has made me extremely happy and I am VERY pleased with my new system. It's refreshing to be able to find a company I can trust. HIGHLY recommended!

When my HVAC unit started making noise on June 8th (sounded like a helicopter landing) I called ServiceFirst. Jody came out immediately and was on time, professional and so knowledgeable. He walked me through the issues, options and showed me what was wrong. Explained in a non salesy way the difference of quality with systems and really personalized what would work best for us not only quality but price. Jody even had options for financing versus paying cash. We decided it made sense to replace the entire system since it was 15 years old and scheduled install was 6/30. We received our confirmation call on 6/29 and Sam and Colin were here on 6/30 before 8am with the new unit. By 1:30pm our old system was out and the new one installed. Sam and Colin were a great team. They were clean, respectful and walked me through all of what they did and how to work the new & amazing thermostat. I woke up this morning and my house feels great. I highly recommend ServiceFirst- their customer service and quality is top notch. Thank you Jody, Sam and Colin we could not be happier! Adding - Wayne came to check our system as part of our maintenance agreement and did a great job! He was on time, professional, friendly and gave great advice. Best part all was good!

Our 24 year old central air system is on its last legs and we just needed to eke out another 10 days or so from it before our installation date for a new system. We came back from a weekend getaway to 95 degree plus weather with high humidity and our old system just couldn't manage. Called Service First at 8AM and spoke to Sandy (the GM), who arranged to have a repairman come out immediately. He arrived within an hour and charged our old unit with add'l freon to bridge us until the new unit can be installed next week. Wayne, our repairman, was friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'm pretty curious so was asking him questions about the system and he did a great job explaining how it worked and what our issues were. He was patient and very informative. Although we've been with a high quality AC company for over 25 years, their prices have become non-competitive (either due to excessive overhead, price gouging or some other inexplicable reason), so we've opted to switch to Service First for the installation and maintenance of our new AC system. My initial experience is very positive and I think their name says it all .... they are all about delivering great service. My thanks to Sandy and Wayne!

Our upstairs unit finally bit the dust and everyone was backlogged waiting for time and units to replace ours. We reached out to a number of companies for quotes, including our current provider who we have had good experiences with but sometimes isn’t as available as we would like because he’s busy as a one man shop. Service First was mentioned so many times by locals in FB groups, and specifically called out for great service and being very responsive and available which was important to us. Bill and Tom were on time, super friendly and professional and thorough in ensuring their setup was a success. Bill was very attentive and patient, walking us through the setup for our fancy new thermostat. When I was entering my WiFi password he looked away, even though I told him he didn’t have to because of how complex it was and the security we have in our home. I appreciate his professionalism and respect with this. Sandie was the one who gave us the quote and originally visited us, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. I found her to be focused on figuring out the right solution for us, not just selling us. As a professional woman I get frustrated sometimes with companies and contractors who presume my husband is the one to talk to or think they need to dumb it down for women. I love that the owner has women in positions like hers and clearly respects her. We were able to get a fair price on our new system with all the bells and whistles we wanted, and we got it installed in 10 days when other companies were at 2-4 weeks. One of the things we are most looking forward to is their maintenance program where they proactively reach out for service each season. We have had this with other providers who say they will but almost none actually do.

ServiceFirst installed a new boiler in our house about a year ago. Three days ago we awoke with no heat. We called ServiceFirst and they responded very promptly. It turned out to be a manufacturing defect in the boiler, not ServiceFirst's fault. Nevertheless, they installed a new boiler and fixed our heating system better than new. I have been using another HVAC for the past 12+ years. Tuneups and repairs became very high and they tried to sell new systems rather than repair. Needed a variable fan motor (Trane). My current HVAC company was very high with the quote and would not give me a breakdown of parts vs labor. After a few comparison calls, Service First was by far the most informative, professional and cost effective among 5 others. Sandy from Service First was able to get part and schedule within a couple days. Jim,. their tech was very thorough and cleaned up a rat's nest of wires before leaving. Service first is going to be my new HVAC tuneup and repair company going forward. I would highly recommend them.

I began the process of obtaining quotes for a new HVAC system last month. I had the system installed by Bill and Colin this week. They arrived on time, explained everything to me, and answered all questions that I had. We returned from out of town in mid january and had a burst radiator pipe. I called my regular repair service and a few other places who promised to circle back with me in 2-3 days. Jim told me what to do over the phone to hold us over and was at my house first thing in the morning to repair. LOOK NO FURTHER! We’ve been using Service First for years. At least 4 years ago, our furnace stopped working. I know a little about how HVAC systems work and declared this one dead. Brian and his son came out, diagnosed the problem, dismantled the furnace, cleaned everything, reassembled and had the unit working in a couple of hours. Amazing! Every year since then, we had Jody come out and perform maintenance. He took the time to talk and actually educated me on everything HVAC-such a great guy and teacher! Jim came out last time and he said it the system’s days were numbered. Sandie sent over 3 options and we picked one. My wife suggested that I call Jody and ask his opinion. It turns out that the option we picked is the same one he recommended. So, we signed the contract and received 0% financing ! This was a no brainer. Greg and Sam came out and installed everything in one day- just in time for this above average 88 degree day. Also, excellent soldering work Sam. Greg walked me through and explained everything and did not leave until every question I had was answered . Excellent work all around by everyone involved at Service First. Our heat went out on Sunday, January 9 which at the time was the coldest day of the winter. Roman Stepa and Jody answered our emergency call and were able to restart the oil burner. Alas, the burner failed again on the next day. Jim did a more extensive cleaning and got the thing to work again, but indicated that a new oil heater was necessary due to years of water damage. We agreed and Jody arranged for a new unit to be installed the following week. On the day that Dan arrived to do the installation, we tested positive for Covid and had to cancel, rescheduling for two weeks later. Meanwhile, the heat died again, of course on a very cold weekend day. Although we were still sick with Covid, Jody came out to restart the heater while we hid out in a bedroom to hopefully not expose him. Finally, today February 1 we are over Covid and testing negative. Dan and his team, Sandy and Rob were here for six hours installing our new oil burner which will work along with the heat pump Service First installed last year. We are very grateful for the service this company has given us during this difficult time and we are happy to give it our five star rating. Also, a shout out to Sandy and Ashley from the office who handled all of our emergency phone calls.

The temperature had been in the 90's for several days and on a Friday morning my AC unit was declared dead by another HVAC service company. Their salesman came out on Tuesday but could not get a complete new system for us for several weeks. I had called one other company but they also said they could not get equipment for a number of weeks. When I called First Service I was assured that getting the equipment was not a problem for them. First Service's representative also came a few hours later on Tuesday and quoted a complete new system; heater & AC, and assured me that it would be installed the coming Saturday. I accepted the proposal and come Saturday Morning at 8 a.m. four workmen arrived with the equipment.The men worked continuously for five hours until the new system was completely installed and cooling the house. All packaging, old equipment and all trash was taken away. It was a job very well done; the men were professional, polite, neat and very conscientious to be careful not to damage my home. So, I'm a new Dad as of 2 weeks ago. My Father-in Law, Sister and Brother-inLaw were all in town to meet my boy. After my very first pediatric appointment with my wife and baby, we came home to a house that was about 85 degrees on a Friday afternoon - or as we like to call it - Margarita O'Clock. I didn't have a regular HVAC company, as the one I had used in the past had given me some wacky/outrageous quotes for some simple plumbing stuff. So I googled "AC repairs near me" and saw a few that had 5 Star ratings. Service First was the second call and even though it was late on a Friday - the sent Roman over to diagnose the issue. He did it quickly and immediately ordered our part, which happened to be a fan motor. Unfortunately it was a non-standard part that had to come from the manufacturer in Texas. Roman ordered it straight-away and expedited the shipping to PA, understanding my dire situation. Service First kept me informed about the shipping process throughout the next few days - just to give me peace of mind, while I was welcoming my family and new boy into this world. In the end - the part got stuck in Philadelphia and rather than wait another day or two for it to arrive, the owner Brian drove into Philly himself to pick it up at no charge (i.e. they stuck to their original quote). He drove it straight to me and had it installed expeditiously. Now my wife, my boy and I can relax in complete comfort. Thanks Service First - your name is absolutely apropos. Had several providers out to help address an air conditioning issue, which happened as a result from some bad maintenance work last year by yet another provider. After several sales pitches and misdirections, Service First and Harris finally gave me two diagnoses that agreed. I have a 12 year old trane system, so there was some question of whether to do the repair or whether to just get a new System. Service first seemed to have the most professional crew, and had the best pricing on the whole units should we need to replace the system. Took the gamble on the repair, Service first did a great job and were very friendly and professional. In a few years (fingers crossed) when we need to Replace the unit we will definitely use them. I’m also going to see if they can help with other issues like possible adding a second air conditioning zone upstairs (even a properly functioning unit isn’t going to perfectly control temps upstairs in 90 plus degrees ...)
