Darrion was fantastic! Very professional and extremely helpful. He explained what was needed on my furnace as well as mentioned it would be a good idea to get my air ducts cleaned. I expressed my concern on the high cost of that service and being unsure whether or not it would truly make a difference based on past experience with it through another company. Darrion reassured me that the job that their company does is extremely thorough. I do feel better knowing he so highly recommends it. Good customer service is rare these days, but these guys impressed us every step of the way! I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the woman I scheduled with(probably due to my brain overheating) but she was very pleasant to work with! My house got up to 87 degrees today and I could not find someone to come out till tomorrow. Until I got ahold of this place and she got us in same day, called my landlord even faster than I could to confirm with him and she even called me to update me when our technician was on his way. She was very personable and is a wonderful representative for the company! Chris got here over an hour earlier than the window we were initially told and we could not be more thrilled, for obvious reasons. He was also very personable and he cracked us up a few times, while remaining completely professional. He is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in ways that are easy to understand. He did a great job, worked fast and his positivity is infectious. You can tell that he really cares about his clients and that says a lot about him and this company! And same goes for the lady I scheduled with, I wish I could remember her name!

I woke up this hot July Friday morning to no air coming out of my vents and was given a window for same day service. Hank arrived exactly when he said he would and got my A/C checked out, figured out the problem, lined up a new blower motor for me with installation tomorrow, and told me about/signed me up for the service program. He was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and expedient. Could not be happier. I highly recommend One Hour Heating and A/C and Hank and I am very happy to have found them. The following day, Carter followed up to install the new blower motor. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable and got right to work. Unfortunately, he discovered immediately after he was finished with installation that the blower had a manufacturer defect and it needed to swapped out. Carter arranged for the new blower and returned this evening, Saturday night, for install. Even after a long day of solving problems, Carter had a big smile on his face, a great attitude, was very reassuring, and had the new blower installed in under an hour. The A/C is officially working again and it’s a huge relief in this heat to feel that cool air coming through my vents again. I was very impressed with both Hank and Carter and I feel confident knowing I am being taken care of by a company that has such professional, knowledgeable and friendly technicians.

Darrion Freeman is top notch. At explaining this four year old house is new to us & we would like a thorough check of a/c system, he got right to work. Systems reviews were comprehensive. His willingness to explain in detail various findings is greatly appreciated. Documentation of performed services/existing status of equipment is given us via email for easy storage & reference. McCarthy’s house call procedures/phone contacts are “delightful”. One may actually speak with a human being at calling. Pleasant folks track the scheduled appointment. When the technician shows at the front door exactly as anticipated, that person presents professionally dressed, concerned not only about our health (think Covid) but our carpet, too. I feel I know the technician because I’ve already been sent a short bio & picture by the front office. As with so many of us, money is an issue. After several years now with McCarthy’s, I am convinced their work represents fantastic “bang for the buck”.

We needed a quick response as our AC went out around 8 pm, 6/13 after a 100 degree day. We called late for assistance and was told the earliest appt was between 12-4 pm the following day. We asked if anything opened earlier we would appreciate it. Some open time came up and Hank arrived around 10:30 am. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. He ID the problem and had it repaired within an hour. We were very pleased with the overall outstanding response and service provided by Hank and McCarthy's.

Our air went out on a Friday night and I was able to call and make an appointment at 11pm that night for the next day, Saturday, between 2-6pm. They called about 9am Saturday with a sooner opening and our technician, Hank, was here around 9:30am. Lots of good communication between business, tech and us. Hank was friendly, professional and very responsive and quick to assess the situation and knew exactly what to repair. Had to get two things fixed on a 15 yr old unit, which wasn’t bad at all. Hank went out of his way on a very hot day to travel to the only part store open on Saturday to stand in a long line to see if they had one of two parts needed and luckily, they did! Hank brought it back, installed it, our problem was solved super fast. Hank went above and beyond and we appreciate him so much for it. He is an A+++++ tech. Hank also filled us in on a maintenance plan that we are seriously considering. Even though it was an uncomfortable situation with our air going out on such a hot weekend, Hank just made the situation feel bearable bc he worked so hard to get us cooled off. I appreciate this encounter and will definitely keep this contact for future needs. Thank you Hank, you are awesome.

Carter was great! It was 100+ degrees out and my AC coils were freezing over. He checked the system out and delivered the bad news about our system being so old and outdated that he couldn't repair it. I knew it was coming, but he delivered the blow very gently. He gave us lots of options, set us up with a sales rep, and talked about some of their other programs. What I liked best was no pressure, just info and he didn't care if we bought from them they just wanted to be sure we were taken care of. I was expecting them to be slammed busy for the next week, but he was out in a couple hours - same day as the call. It was so freakin' hot in and out of my house, but he stood there talking to us, no rush, and just laid it all out what we were looking at.

AC went out this afternoon and it was a hot one. Called McCarthy's and they were able to get me in same day. The tech, Carter, was very professional and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it. Got my AC working and I'm back to loving cold air. Signed up for their monthly service so now I won't have to worry about the AC or furnace again. Definitely recommend calling them for all your HVAC needs.

We've been McCarthy’s customers for 15+ years now (since 2004) and they've taken care of our HVAC needs. They installed the first system we had after we bought the house (in 2007), and a replacement air conditioner unit in 2017 that uses the new coolant. Most recently (2022), they replaced our roof vent pipe and cap that had been damaged by a hailstorm. Don and Pleh were thorough in assessing the roof vent repair needs. Don was very helpful in explaining what he was doing all along the way. It was great to have someone with his experience handling the installation. Our current technician, Brent, is fabulous! For our most recent visit, he did both our heater and AC checks. He explained one slightly out-of-range reading and gave us a suggestion for an additional equipment modification that could help extend the life of the unit. He is very friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we have. Our former technician, Henry (Hank) was also awesome. He also thoroughly explains what he's doing, and makes suggestions to help us improve our furnace and air conditioner performance. In addition, he has a great personality. We always look forward to his service visits. (We're part of the McCarthy's monthly program, so we get to see our technicians twice a year for our equipment tune-ups.) I love that they call or text to confirm the appointment AND then let us know that our technician is on the way. Would definitely recommend McCarthy's! Update Oct. 2022: Hank is back and we are thrilled! Would definitely recommend McCarthy’s!

He made several suggestions for prevention/maintenance of the system-offering valuable information on which to base decision-making without being "pushy". I did purchase one preventative measure that made good sense to me from a short-term cost/benefit perspective (i.e., a way of prolonging the life of the system) He answered all my questions. June: Jason went beyond the failed part to figure out what made it fail. He explained what he was doing, and told me how much it would cost before proceeding. I don't know why this review didn't post in June. October: The thermostat reported a memory error. Hank suggested replacing the CR2032 battery to see if that fixed the problem (I had replaced the AA batteries in August). He saved me from having to buy a new thermostat. November: The thermostat decided to act up again. It went totally blank, drained its batteries, got hot, and wouldn't turn on the furnace. The house was down to 58℉. McCarthy's dispatcher didn't have any openings until the next day. I took it, and asked to be notified if they had any cancellations. A different dispatcher (I think it was Elizabeth) called back in 10 minutes to say someone would be able to come this afternoon. Chris Rajca came, explained what he was going to do, then reset everything and got it working. Thanks, Chris!

AC and furnace installation 9-9-19: Dylan, Neal, and Gordan were in my words ‘the A team’; They were professional, knowledgeable, caring of my home, and respectful in performing their service/installation. I also know to have people like this it takes a great company, so my hats off to McCarthy’s. We are enjoying our new AC system! The duct cleaning and aero seal 9-13-19: Taylor, Adam, and Brandon did a good job today. Unfortunately, the aero seal machine had a breakdown, so the aero seal could not be performed. They will have to order the part, test the machine, and then schedule another appointment to perform the aero seal. We are very pleased with the duct cleaning that the team completed, they were very thorough. We can really tell the difference in our home as far as dust is concerned. When we bought our house last year, we knew that we were going to need a new HVAC unit this summer. We did not anticipate that the dated unit to not even turn on once it got hot out. We made arrangements for two different HVAC companies to come out and give us estimates. The first company came out and it was purely a sales pitch filled with glossy brochures. McCarthy's representative, Tim, came out and filled in a lot of missing information that we did not get from the other company. For example, he asked me if he could measure all of the windows and doors. I must have made a confused face because he asked me if the other company measured. I told him that they did not, instead the representative just asked for the approximate square footage of the house. He review the quote that we received from the other company and determined that they were trying to sell us a 3.5 ton unit when, after accurate measuring, Tim advised us that we needed a 2.5 ton unit. He also broke down the difference between single and double stage compressor, as well as the pros and cons to both compressors. We had a complete HVAC unit put in last Friday by McCarthy's One Hour and are completely satisfied. Dylan and Nick did an amazing job! From putting on and removing the red shoe covers every time they entered and exited the home, to poor Nick being stuck in the attic so they could run new returns in two of the bedrooms. They were at our house until well after 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and neither of the installers were even fazed that they were working after 5:00 p.m. on a Friday. At the conclusion of the install, Dylan took the time to go over the new system, including how the unit will function and a detailed tutorial of operating the thermostat (which, by the way, is super awesome). I cannot recommend McCarthy's enough.

A couple months ago McCarthy came out for a service call due to our AC fan not turning on and cooling our house. They came out and fixed the problem. Today 8/7/21 they came out for a service call to make sure everything was working just fine. When they left they stated everything checked out just fine we just needed a new filter. After he left I went to get a new filter as advised. And it was the same exact as the previous one I bought. Half hour after he left, the fan stopped and it won’t turn back on and our house is getting warm. I called McCarthy and told them of this situation, that their technician clearly caused, and that someone needed to come out and fix the situation. They told me there was nothing they could do to help me until tomorrow between 6pm and midnight. This is totally unacceptable. We got a new HVAC system from them 3 years ago and spent a lot of money. The least they could do is come out and fix the issue they clearly caused. At one point the technician stood in front of my thermostat looking at it not understanding why it was doing what it was doing. And he’s supposed to know what he’s doing??? Scary!!! I’m very mad and frustrated. Thank goodness it isn’t 100 degrees with 100% humidity out today. Updating this review as someone did come out and fix my issue. It was a service tech who found the problem and took care of it. He said if it wouldn’t have been fixed, it was a big fire hazard. Very grateful for him coming out. Now we can sleep soundly and cooley.

My furnace quit working in the middle of the night. I was able to talk to someone at McCarthys and schedule service for Saturday morning. Taylor came and fixed my furnace was very helpful in recommending options and am appreciative that they were able to fix my furnace and so I have heat this weekend but if I choose to replace my system, they will credit the price of the parts to my replacement. We recently had a furnace maintenance check and the technician we dealt with, Grant, was great. He was punctual, polite, and communicated clearly about the work he was doing. Yesterday, May 25th, 2022, Carter came out to do the yearly A/C maintenance check at our house. From the first minute he was here to the last, he was full of enthusiasm. He shared a lot of knowledge of HVAC systems, including his very own personal use of the products he recommends. We would welcome him back here easily again, if the opportunity presents itself. Keep hiring men like Carter, One Hour! Today, July 31, 2020, Chase and Avery came out to our home to clean all of our duct work, which included the blower unit itself, all the registers, and all the return vents. These are 2 very friendly and knowledgeable guys. They did a great job. First, everything was explained to us before they started the cleaning job. The vacuum machine is HUGE; it is almost as tall as Chase! We were shown the pictures before and after cleaning. This was about a 5 hour job, because they are very thorough in what they do. We had NEVER had a duct cleaning done before, so this was kind of interesting for my husband and I to witness. It was a LOT of dust and debris that they pulled from our vents! Just amazing! Today, April 29, 2020, Joe Boneham came out to give us an estimate to replace our air-conditioner system. We were notified BEFORE he arrived with a phone call, confirming the appointment time at our home, as well as receiving a text message stating his name, short bio, and a photo of him. He arrived a couple minutes before the appointment time, and stayed almost two hours, going over our current set-up, taking measurements, finding out what we were looking for in a cooling system, and providing us THREE options to choose from for our situation. WOW! He knows his stuff! He is a very pleasant "Comfort Advisor" that took his time explaining answers to all of our questions. Before he left our house, he had the whole replacement of our air-conditioning system set up for the following Tuesday! Great turn around! Today, Nov. 26, 2019, both Chris and Mark came out to our house for a regular check-up on our heating system. The original appt was set for Dec. 20th, but because an opening became available, they were able to come out today, we were very thankful for. Chris and Mark are both very friendly guys who know their stuff. While Chris focused on the physical checkup of our furnace, Mark focused on the air quality part. They both kept us informed with their findings and also e-mailed us those numbers of their findings. They also provided some recommendations for the future of our system. They were very professional in their manner and very helpful. We plan to have One Hour back here in the spring to give us an estimate for our air-conditioner replacement. We chose One Hour when we first moved here because that was who we used in our former residence back in Kentucky. Update: For my heater the service and technician where amazing, they respected the warranties they had posted on the heater and even replaced a defective item during servicing. Fast, friendly, helpful, competent technician. Got the job done right but the tiered pricing bites you in the end. I feel I was overcharged for a capacitor and a/c renew. They do provide a 1-year guarantee on work completed, even cleaned the outdoor unit without hesitation. Does good work, tiered pricing structure seems to need better qualification at times.

Taylor and Jeff from McCarthy’s went above and beyond for us today. First of all, the company’s customer service and response time is unmatched. We phoned them and they were at our house within an hour. They even sent a text telling who our serviceman was with a picture and a way to track his location. The two of them spent almost 6 hours with our heat pump and refused to leave until the problem was discovered. The amount of time they spent was not due to incompetence; we had a very complicated issue and they refused to be defeated! They charged us for the initial service call and for one part that ended up being a casualty of a much bigger problem. We had no cold air coming from our vents. I called this morning at 7 am to schedule an appointment. The tech was here in a couple hours later. He quickly determined the problem was an electrical issue. He thought it might be the breaker itself. After getting electrician here it was really bad. Guess the wires burned the quick disconnect box and my siding. They said they surprised it didn't burn my house down. So by Mccarthys quick response and hank figuring it was electrical issue . I don’t like strangers in my house especially pushy sales people. This was not the case. Hank also served in the military and we just entrusted the United States Air Force to borrow our son. I never knew after experiencing the military life first hand how much that would influence our respect for anyone that has ever served. Very professional treatment. Timely, knowledgeable and personable. Following the original appointment to determine what was not working about our air conditioning, we met with the Comfort Advisor. He evaluated the current equipment and how it related to the size of our home. Taking into account the age (11 years) of our heat exchanger, he recommended that we replace it with new AC unit. After careful consideration, we decided to replace the ac, and then have the duct work cleaned and sealed. This is a 90 year old house with a lot of original duct work. It had had minimal maintenance the past few years, and was ready to be updated. We definitely recommend McCarthy's.

Bought a condo 2 years ago. The furnace i thought was inspected? Had the furnace checked by, McCarthys before the winter at the end of October. Found out only 1 out of 2 coils were working, had exposed wiring also, however it did run, but may go out at anytime and didn't want to chance waiting til it's 10 below zero. Went over options with Tech & Adviser, who are very explanatory. Went with a heat pump and had installed..I would recommend them to anyone needing service with furnace or AC. McCarthys service was really impressive. Our AC stopped working and they did come out right away. Unfortunately, the AC had some major problems. They were explained clearly with pictures of the damaged areas inside the unit. We were given options for repairs vs. replacement. We decided to replace the unit after understanding the issues involved. We eventually worked with 5 employees of Mc Carthy’s - the original service technician, the person who helped us choose the replacement unit and set up financing for us and later 3 men who installed the replacement unit. After calling another heating and air conditioning company out Platinum Heating and Air he advised me I had nothing wrong with my furnace and he was able to troubleshoot my air conditioning problem without charging me $1,600 which McCarthy said that's what they would have to charge me they told me I needed a new air conditioner and a new furnace my furnace is old but it did not have a crack where the service man got the picture from I do not know but he did not get it from my furnace as far as I am concerned McCarthy's is very untrustworthy I would not recommend them to anybody on June 1st I talked to the general manager Scott wood he had me send a copy of the other companies bill he stated they would reimburse me for my service call and he would take care of the service technician so at this point I am satisfied

Chris was punctual. He introduced himself and got right to work. I pointed out an issue with the Humidifier and he addressed it. He checked out all of the components of the heater. He made a couple of recommendations: get the ducts cleaned and replace humidifier filter and furnace filter.

Had a great experience with this company my AC went out on one of the hottest days in August in NE and all the rest of the companies couldn't get to me in for at least 2 weeks it took them 30 mins to see me and 4 days to come put ac and furnace unit in .Came on time completed the work in a timely manner no lunch break....( Thank you Jesus) from tech to installers were knowledgeable and professional. But it cost a pretty penny..... will recommend but make sure you price check, save some chips up and pray on it.

My elderly parents needed to have their furnace cleaned when I just happened to be in Omaha a few weeks ago. My sisters and I live all over the United States, so we are not often there to assist them with things of this nature. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the entire group -- particularly Taylor and Adam, who spent time answering my Mom's questions and explaining the entire process.
