Burkhardt dose such a wonderful job, I have been using them for years and I always have wonderful service. Over the past few years they have repaired, serviced and cleaned my A/C system. I recently had to get a new a/c and duct work. They did an amazing job with the installation, and they clean up and put anything back they needed to move. I also used them to put in a new mini split in my garage man cave. It works great, plus has an excellent warranty being they are a diamond preferred installer for these.

I don't know these guys but I am a home inspector and I see all kinds of crazy stuff. I just did an inspection where they had recently installed a new unit and it was the cleanest install of a closet unit I have ever seen. Very few companies are installing overflow pans on these units because they are not required. Burkhardt went the exterior mile amd installed 2 to ensure if there are any leaks, they will be contained.. I recognize good quality where I see and and this work was top notch.

I needed to have an existing system cleaned and serviced. I called Burkhardt and the tech arrived that afternoon. I was so impressed with the courteous and professional approach of the tech that I decided to obtain a bid to replace the aging ductwork. Another great rep came to the house and we received a bid. We are now proceeding with the planned replacement. We also have a back studio which I had forgotten to schedule for service. Once again the tech was able to come the next working day and take care of that system. Burkhardt also is very good with follow up to see how the service was performed. I can highly recommend this company

I can't say enough about this company and about Mr. Burkhardt, as well as Sean and Ryan. They ALWAYS returned my calls promptly and their prices were extremely reasonable. What I really liked and appreciated is how Sean and Ryan took such care with my house. Daily they cleaned up before they left (they were here for a week because it was a major overhaul). Sean was very professional, very nice and courteous and honestly, I looked forward to seeing them each morning - they were so pleasant. Best of all, the work was above and beyond. Burkhardt redesigned and installed new duct work for our A/C - Heating system. They installed extra vents in our up stairs bedrooms. They installed proper ventilation for exhaust fans in the bathrooms. All the improvements are just amazing! Our A/C system has never worked so well!! Of course we lost AC on the hottest Sunday. On Monday morning my AC folks would not answer and one that was recommended by neighbors could not fit me in until Thursday. Despite the shared surname, I have no relation with this company, familial or otherwise. I've had experience with about three or four area HVAC service providers, and this has probably been my best experience overall so far, although it's difficult to compare because my service needs have varied. That being said, they were responsive and timely, they did good quality work, and they undersold and overdelivered. We needed a coil replaced and we scheduled for the next availability, which was two days. However, they followed shortly after to let us know they would be able to do the work the following day if we were available. I also appreciated that they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I've been surprised in the past that this isn't always a given. I can't comment on the cost/value, it wasn't cheap, but we found their quote reasonable and the work was top-notch from what I can tell. I also appreciate that they also followed up the following day to ensure everything was well taken care of. Thank you, Burkhardt, for rescuing us from our hot, sweaty torment.

Our AC broke at the office and we called Burkhardt, with whom we chose to do a service contract with, to get our issue fixed so we could get back into the office. Burkhardt’s office staff was incredibly polite and professional and kept up updated all day as to whether they could get a tech to us that day. They were able to get a tech out and he came after business hours to fix the issue so we could be back in the office the next morning rather than wait till the next day to come fix the issue. The tech was very well informed, polite, professional and quick. Our issue was resolved within 30 mins and the technician gave us some advice on some preventative maintenance that needed to be done soon. We are super pleased with our experiences with Burkhardt which is why we chose them for our maintenance contact because we can trust them to go above and beyond to get the job done quickly and correctly.

Outstanding sales, service, installation and so much more. I have been looking to install all new central air systems in my house. I contacted Burkhardt's, the salesman came out we discussed options...he explained each system, gave me estimates. No high pressure sales tactics...I made the decision on what was needed...he then scheduled. The installation team was remarkable. With the horrible weather they worked from the moment of arrival until end of each day. Very professional, courteous, always on time etc. Cleanliness again was amazing. Updated as of 6/8/22 The rating increased to “3” as a result of the owner apologizing for not responding to my calls to look into my concerns. He indicated they would change their internal communication protocol to avoid having non-service calls go unaddressed Their response to me occurred after the original “1” rating I provided below. ORIGINAL RATING Did great - for all years I used them. However have to only rate them 1 star (only as good as your last job). They came in early May as part of annual maintenance contract. Got a clean bill of health for both systems. About 1 week later we noticed one of the systems was not cooling. We called and they diagnosed a “large leak” from one unit. Had to replace the evap coil (but under warranty) so no charge (good). Issue is we still had to pay for a leak check, additional refrigeration and a service call fee. I was concerned about why the problem turned up right after the semi-annual inspection. So I called the office and explained to them that I suspect a possible problem that might be worth investigating … either the tech inadvertently did something to cause the problem, the check he did was inadequate (his method), the checks he was supposed to do was not sufficient (bad process) or a massive leak coincidentally turned up right after the check. I have been in refining and chem plants about 40 yrs. Prev Maint (PM) checks are routinely done. I have NEVER had an issue where a check was done correctly and a problem occurred “immediately” after it was released for service. I called to explore this more with office personnel and they said the owner or his son would call me. I was told this 3 times over the course if 7+ days. No one called me back. I wanted to know what they would consider doing differently in the future to prevent a situation like this from reoccurring. I am disappointed that no one returned my call(s), that Burkhardt does not appear to be interested in my concerns and/or they are not trying to investigate potential anomalies/problems to prevent them from repeating. Surely this is not the actions of a quality business.

I have been a Burkhardt customer for a very long time, and I have watched them grow so big, but not big enough to treat every customer as an individual. Whether it is our regular maintenance or an emergency, they treat us with kit gloves. They are very professional, respectful, and very knowledgeable. Last week we had an issue with our ac, as it was not blowing out cool air. It happened to be on a day of severe storms, and I even called to tell them not to come. They wouldn't have it. The service tech, Bailey, came late that evening and went straight to work. As he was working the power went out. We have a home generator, however, it decided not to work. Bailey continued to work, found the problem, addressed the options to me, fixed it to get us cool air, and as I was paying him in the dark, he mentioned that Burkhardt's does generators. How did I not know that, was my reaction. He immediately got on the phone to see how he could help. Through Bailey's help, and the help of many others at Burkhardt, we were able to get a generator tech out that night. Not only was Bailey knowledgeable about his job, professional, courteous, he was extremely considerate and concerned for my husband and I. He took the initiative and made it happen. He is a true Burkhardt employee, high standards across the board. He gets a 10 from my husband and I, along with Josh, Jason, Jared, Nicole, and Colton. I apologize in advance if I left anyone out from that crazy night. If you want the best, if you want high quality performance, call Burkardt.

Cannot say enough great things about using Burkhardt for all our HVAC needs! We first hired them to do home inspections, and they found a serious issue on a newly renovated house we planned to purchase. When we bought our house, we signed up for their annual service and have been very happy for over 3 years. But where they really shined was when our AC went out on a Saturday, in August, in New Orleans. We called to request service, and within 15 minutes a tech called to say he was on his way. Super courteous and knowledgeable (as always) and gave us great tips to help us limp along until the part we needed to fully repair could be ordered on Monday. Highly recommend this company!

He explained what he found to be broken and what needed to be ordered and added freeon to the unit to keep it going till new part arrived. The response time was amazing, John Burkhardt called me first thing in the morning to address my concern. He then explained that he could not in good faith sell me the product I was inquiring on because he didnt think I needed it based on the information i gave him. He then explained what he thought it could be and since I live in an apartment recommended going through the property management company for repairs. If I buy a house, I'm definitely calling John!! We were thrilled with our recent service from Burkhardt. We called late in the morning and had a tech at our home by 1 PM. He stayed much longer than he'd planned (I'm sure) trying to diagnose a problem, fully servicing our unit, and installing an attic tent. We asked about options to reduce our bill, and, although they could have sold us something much more expensive, we were recommended to go with the attic tent. I live in Mandeville La. and my Trane AC unit failed over the weekend. I called Burkhardt AC's service as a new client. My neighbor referred me to them. I called after hours and expected to possibly receive a call back the next day. When I called, I was greeted with a live person. I knew it was a messaging service however, they were professional and it was a live person who took my information and promised a service tech would contact me shortly. I quickly received a call from the "On-Call" service tech who scheduled my appointment for the next morning. The next day early (7:30am), first thing, I was called by "Alex" the service tech who was on his way to our home. My broken unit was fixed, and my 2 other units were PM checked during this service call. Alex was very professional, knew his trade and respected my time as a client. He thoroughly explained what he found, what all the levels of refrigerant meant and didn't try to sell, sell, sell me anything. I highly recommend this company and will keep them as our AC contractor for future needs. PS. The service truck was clean, well logo'ed and stocked. Alex had a clean uniform, with his name on the chest pocket plus had a well designed business card which he was proud to hand out. He also kindly used boot covers to protect our flooring which was a nice touch. You could tell he loved what he did and that he had to have the support of a good ownership!

At approximately 1AM the day after Tropical Storm Cristobal hit the Louisiana coastline, we lost power. My newly just installed 22KW propane fueled Generac Generator ran a total of 9-hrs. Burkhardt’s Air Conditioning are very professional, from the initial site survey performed by Chris to the actual installation of the Generac Generator by Jason and his crew. As my subdivision does not have natural gas lines, Burkhardt’s Air Conditioning even coordinated with a local Propane company to arrange the date/delivery of a 500 gallon propane tank. I can’t thank Burkhardt’s enough for their professionalism in the way the job was done from start to finish.
