If you need a HVAC unit these guys are great! They helped us pick out a unit we could afford and gave ideas on how to finance . The guys that installed it were coplete gentlemen. They answered all our questions big and small . Comunication was fantastic they were always there to help. No pressure at all. If you are looking for a unit give these guys a shot. I honestly cannot say enough good things about these guys. We reached out to them after we received a very steep estimate from a large HVAC company in regards to a new heater kit and ductwork replacement. We emailed Jeremy, the owner of Hicks HVAC and discussed our concerns. He sent out Coley, one of his guys immediately who checked our system and ducts. Coley was super friendly and really just addressed our concerns. He gave us an immediate estimate on our heater kit and got in touch with Jeremy about the duct work. I love that they only fixed and addressed what we NEEDED to get replaced and fixed. The other company was trying to upsell so much that we did not trust them having our best interest in mind. Jeremy Hicks runs a very professional business with the best AC service and value I have seen in the Nashville area. My AC was out for almost a week at the beginning of the summer and I needed it fixed fast. I unfortunately had to get a new unit but Hicks offered the best quote and offered a financing option. Jeremy and his team did a fantastic job on the installation of my new package unit in Hurricane Mills. Despite the Thanksgiving holiday, Jeremy was able to get out to my property with only two days’ notice the Friday after thanksgiving and he arrived exactly at the time he said he would. It was immediately apparent to me that Jeremy is extremely knowledgeable about his craft. He was able to thoughtfully and eloquently explain the issues with my aged unit such that I could appropriately determine the appropriate course of action for repair versus replacement. Ultimately, the unit had exceeded its advertised average useful life and I determined that replacement was the best course of action. This might seem like an up-sell on Jeremy’s part but I am confident that he could have made more money constantly coming out to my house in the future replacing various parts trying to address small pieces of a larger problem. He was able to get the new unit + parts ordered, delivered, and installed a mere two business days from his initial visit to my property. He also identified some issues with my duct work, gas piping, pad leveling, and system flashing, that were likely resulting in a major loss of efficiency on the previous unit (he was right, my monthly electric bill to keep my house at 80 degrees this summer was $200 per month). He was able to include these other updates in the scope of the install and got me fully squared away with my new unit, more aesthetically pleasing exterior setup, and a ton more efficiency with regard to the infrastructure around the unit. I would strongly recommend Jeremy and his team to anyone in the area that is looking for quality HVAC service, maintenance, or repair. Beyond the definitive quality of Jeremy’s work, he is also an effective communicator and kept me abreast of any and all updates with regard to the part ordering, job scope, and time-frame expectations. He followed my personal three rules for effective customer service “Tell the customer what you think they should do, do it, then tell them about how you did it so they can better understand.” I can’t speak highly enough of Jeremy and he was a pleasure to work with.

Our HVAC sytem recently gave up on us. We called Jeremy first, from his ad in the Buffalo River Review, and he was here the next day, despite his busy schedule. He identified the problem and had a solution for us right away as a faulty thermostat. At that time he advised us we had a freon leak, and filled for us. Very reasonable pricing on that. Sadly, a few days later, the leak gave way, and we ended up purchasing an entire new system, inside and out. We feared the cost, but was VERY reasonable. Jeremy was able to procure is a full system in less that a day. This was much appreciated as there were some nice hot days coming up. He and his assistant were SO polite, courteous and professional, and really did get the system installed far faster that I assumed that would have taken. Jeremy Hicks with Hicks HVAC is one of those people that you know would never cheat you, or try to overcharge you. He is very professional, and very good at what he does. I have a rental property that has needed AC work twice, and both times I was unable to be there. I knew that my HVAC unit was on its last leg last summer, so when we immediately started having cooling issues this month I wasn't surprised. I called Hicks, and Jeremy came out the next day. He physically showed me all of the things that were going on with my HVAC, and believe me, there were a lot. When he told me he recommended a replacement, I knew exactly why and didn't have to second-guess that opinion. That was yesterday. He arrived first thing this morning, and 3.5 hours later my house is cool again. While replacing an HVAC unit is a mighty expensive task no matter who you go with, I have no doubt that Jeremy gave me the best price I would have been able to find. I highly recommend him to anyone needing HVAC work. Also, I liked the fact that he didn't try to upsale me on the best unit around. He knew that we were only planning to be in this house for a couple more years before we sell, and he understood that it didn't make sense for us to pay thousands more for a unit that we really won't get the benefit of for years to come. That isn't to say we didn't get a good unit. We just didn't get the top of the line unit that most companies would push despite the benefit to us being really obsolete.

It’s never a good time when your water heater dies and leaks all over your basement. I spoke with Jeremy soon after I found out we needed a new hot water tank in a panic and he helped me out via phone so by the time he actually came out to the house we had a good idea of what we were going to do. I was informed by another company last week that I needed to replace my upstairs AC unit. They quoted me an amount that sounded outrageous, but I signed with them anyway. A couple of days later I decided to check with some other service providers to see if what I was paying was reasonable, and wow am I glad I did! I had another company and Jeremy from Hicks come to my house to quote on the job. Jeremy gave me a quote that was $2,500 less for the very same equipment the other company was going to install (and $1,000 less than the other company I had give a quote that day) - and he said they could do it the same day the other company was going to do it. Sure enough his guys showed up when they said they would, and they did a stellar job of installing my new Trane AC! Jeremy and his men were a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. I can not recommend Hicks HVAC enough.

In the process of buying a house in Nashville we had a home inspection completed which suggested that we have a HAVC company to further analyze the HAVC. Upon the recommendation of our realtor we contacted Jeremy Hicks, Owner of Hicks HAVC. We found his report of condition to be quite different and included much more detail than the one provided by the seller. As a result we now have a new HAVC system. A year ago I was having issues with my AC. I called ARS Rescue Rooter and someone came out, spent hours on the roof, and convinced me I needed a new AC that would cost thousands of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion with Hicks HVAC. Jeremy came out and inspected the AC, within about 30 min to an hour said he could fix the problem, for a FRACTION of the price. I couldn’t recommend Jeremy enough. I was having issues with my heat pump, and initially had a well known local company come out and take a look. They charged a hefty fee, took 5 minutes to diagnose what they thought was the problem, and immediately started the selling process for a new hvac unit. Wanting a second opinion, I called Jeremy. He came out the same day and did a thorough review of my system, clearly explaining his actions along the way. His attention to detail led him to discover an issue with my thermostat, not the hvac unit itself. His knowledge and hard work saved me about $8,500 dollars that day. His price point is better than many larger companies around town, and I can confidently say that his service is also a level above the rest. Along with his skill, he’s just a really nice guy. He didn’t have to offer detailed explanations of the work he did, but he did it anyways. I’m definitely calling Jeremy when this old hvac of mine finally does decide to stop working!

After 4 hours of extensive Diagnostics it was determined that my unit was unrepairable. If you're looking for an honest, professional, and truly kind person to come help figure out what's wrong with your HVAC system, call Jeremy Hicks right now – I bet he answers :) I have an extremely old HVAC unit that most places would assume needed to be replaced – and a few have told me that. Jeremy didn't pass any judgement whatsoever on the units' condition, he just jumped in and checked it out thoroughly. He was able to repair it within a few minutes and my house was ice cold by the time he left. If you have just gotten bad news from one of the bigger, greedier companies out there- or are not sure who to call, I highly recommend giving Jeremy Hicks a ring and letting him take another look, you won't find a more honest and professional tech in the Nashville area. They even went above and beyond with minor repairs and improvements to get the system back in tip-top shape. The next week, the temperature dropped dramatically and suddenly the heat wasn't working. I contacted Jeremy, and once again Hicks came out on short notice to save the day. They found a bad startup capacitor that was affecting the blower motor and also found that the emergency heat wiring had come loose. This company is very responsive, thorough, and has very fair pricing. They don't upsell you on things you don't need. I'm very thankful to have found these guys.

A/C wasn't cooling and hardly blowing. Over the phone he worked with me to determine that the blower was OK. We scheduled a repair for the next day. When he arrived he diagnosed the problem and showed me my options and costs. I approved the work and he went about to get it done. It is working great now. We are nursing an older A/C unit so that it lasts as long as possible. Jeremy understood and worked with me to accomplish my goals rather than pressuring me to get a new unit (as other companies have tried to do).

After having a very disappointing (and expensive) morning with Donelson Air, I came across several good reviews of Hicks HVAC. The response time was very quick, and the cost of a diagnosis on the unit was MUCH better than what Donelson quoted for me. Once the problem was identified, Jeremy throughly went over the issue, what caused it, how he proposed to fix said problem, and a price quote to get the unit back up to par. I shudder even thinking about what Donelson Air would have charged for the same job. Jeremy was a knowledgable professional all the way around, and he even gave me some useful tips on keeping my unit running efficiently. 10/10 would recommend

I am a single mom and live in the Kingston Springs area. After returning home, I noticed my ac unit was not working correctly and had a terrible smell. The unit was installed in 1999 and my worst fear was I had to buy a whole new ac unit. I went online and after reading over reviews I called Hicks HVAC. A technician came out that day, due to the weather dropping to 8 degrees that night and explaining my situation was emergent. The problem was diagnosed quickly and I was really relieved to have a through explanation of what was going on causing the smell and what needed repaired. The technician was able to repair my unit quickly and I was even told about using my thermostat properly, and educated on auxiliary and emergency heat use. I was so glad to find an honest company and was able to make minor repairs to a fan and my unit still running great. Will definitely call Hicks HVAC for any future heating and air conditioning needs!

Jeremy is awesome! When my AC went out, I found him on Yelp with a handful of great reviews. I called, HE ANSWERED, and gave me an appt for 2pm the next day. The next morning he texted to say he could fit me in at 9am. He even showed up a few minutes early. I told him what it was doing, he went straight to my outside unit, swapped out a bad switch, and had it running in 15-20 min. Service call fee + $100 for the part. He didn't try to sell anything I didn't need. Quick and painless. I would highly recommend and call again.

Called at 7:45am this morning. My a/c was frozen. Was told they could get somebody here in the morning if I needed and someone would call me shortly with a time estimate. It's 6:15pm now. No one ever called back. Throughout the day, I called back THREE more times, each time getting a little more irritated. The last gentleman I spoke with assured me someone would call shortly. Never did. Will NEVER call these guys back. Poor, terrible customer service. Plain sad. UPDATE: Jeremy (owner) has since been in contact with me apologizing for my experience. His answering service was where the problem lied. He since has removed them because of THEIR horrible service. Jeremy needs to post a bad review on them. ;-)
