When I decided to upgrade the heating system in my home I called Home Heating and talked with sales Rep. Joe Ludwig. He came to my home, evaluated my system, answered my questions, and calculated what equipment that I needed, and gave me an exact estimate. Joe is extremely knowledgeable and gave me all the information that I needed and made it easy for me to make a decision. Definitely a man that knows his trade. Thank you Joe. Job # 22-1125 Nick and Reggie from Home Heating did a spot on professional job installing my new furnace. Tested and adjusted all functions after installation and cleaned up any mess when they were finished. Sure put my mind at ease before we start the winter season. I am very satisfied and couldn't ask for a better job. Thank you. Job # 30-8133 Brad and Paul from Home Heating did another spot on professional job cleaning my duct work and vents. I did not know how this process worked as I have never had it done before and they were very informative about their process and proceeded to do an awesome job and I am very satisfied. Thank you.

Joseph Eiman installed a new dishwasher and a new kitchen faucet for me. He pays great attention to detail. Service with this company is always fast and reliable, always friendly and Joe takes the time to do the work just right. Joe went above and beyond, driving all over town to locate a sink hole cover to match the new faucet and even polished out the rust stains in my white sink. He took extra time to make sure the dishwasher was installed evenly - a perfectionist every time. I highly recommend Joe and Home Heating! If you are doing business with another company you are using the wrong one.

We noted a small leak in our "Marathon" water heater that was about 12 years old. Called for service check and they were able to come out within 24 hours. Determined that a new water heater was needed. When purchasing our original "Marathon" water heater it came with a "life time warranty". Service personnel quickly contacted the business that it was purchased from, went to pick up a replacement heater and installed it all within about 2-3 hours! Great service. Thank you!

They contacted the city for us to have the water shut off properly and then made sure that their repair was done quickly and because we have an old house the repair brought the old pipes up to code. We had our sump pumps fail due to a frozen output line. Per recommendation from a family member with Home Heating, I contacted them to determine and rectify the issue. They showed up in a timely manner, diagnosed the issue, replaced the sump pumps and check valves, and connected the output to an alternative flow route. The sump system was operational again. The technicians were the epitome of professional and courteous. I highly recommend them if you have any plumbing or HVAC tasks.

Update: I received a call about this review and they acknowledged that the ball was dropped and have since sent me a refund. The service was not there in the beginning, but at least they made it right in the end. Thank you. Blower went out on our air exchange system. 20 minute visit and I was told they may not have the unit and that they would call around and get back to me. Never heard back until I got an invoice in the mail 45 days later for $128. Invoice stated they had told me to call someone else when I never heard back from them at all! I've emailed them 5 days ago now expressing how they did not provide the services quoted, trying to give them a chance to make things right but have gotten no response. Extremely poor customer service. There are far better places to give your business to in the FM area.

I have a 47 year old furnace that has not worked since 2013!! Try having a broken furnace for 9 years. It’s not fun. I’ve been heating my house with candles and space heaters all this time trying to save up enough money to repair it. Eventually I saved up enough spare change to call the professionals. Mr. O came out and got the old girl up and running again. Turns out the power switch was just off by accident the whole time. Thanks Home Heating!

Having worked 35+ years in aerospace I've dealt with a large number of contractors and special service providers. My recent experience with Home Heating, Plumbing to select and install furnace and A/C equipment was a pleasant event. From point of sale with Joe to the installers I was impressed with their professionalism and job performance. Mat and Travis were punctual to the minute and took the time to walk the job while we discussed the scope of work, work breakdown structure and estimated completion times. They worked as a team, to dismantle the old systems and install new with no disruption to my home office activities. Care was taken to protect my home (floor coverings and doorways) we couldn't even tell a major installation has taken place. What a pleasure to work with a team who knows their trade inside and out. Highly recommend this company for residential servicing of HVAC.

Plumbing technician was able to come quickly, was very polite and got the job done quickly. Did a nice job of sharing options and helping check for warranties on our old water heater. Excellent experience, will definitely use Home again. Furnace repairman was very thorough and found a number of minor improvements for furnace performance as well as a motor replacement. When the new motor failed multiple times, he was prompt to come back and replace again at no charge, and eventually went to a different supplier as the motors that were failing seemed to have come from a bad batch.

Our 20 year old boiler had a couple of valves that started leaking bad, Brian and another gentleman came over and were extremely professional and knowledgeable with the system. Home Heating was great! We had them install a garage heater and a tankless water heater. They did outstanding work. My only complaint about them was the mess they left behind. The work they did required them to add another gas vent outside our house, and we found a dried foam insulation, metal shavings, and very sharp chunks of metal conduit outside. In the garage we also found sharp chunks of metal pieces and shavings on the floor. Outside was much worse though. I would not hesitate to use them again and would certainly recommend them to others. I would just ask them up front to please clean up at the end and check things over before they left.

Joe and Joel did an amazing job, after I called in and was told your company didn’t do anything with sewer vents on the roof they came out, unplugged the vents and made copper T pipes to put in to keep unplugged. They also found a floor drain in the basement that was cracked and determined a lot of the septic smell was coming from there. They came back out and jackhammered the drain out and replaced and were extremely neat and cleaned up great, besides a bit of concrete dust I had nothing else to clean up. I have not had any issues since they were out. I have had issues with this for several years and never had anyone find the problem, they always just put a bandage on it. My mom and brother have also had Joe over and have been extremely happy, I recommended your company to my neighbor and your guys came out and took care of their problems also. We had a water heater issue that caused it to stop working. The technician was able to show up within 30 minutes of when we placed the call and very quickly fixed the issue. He also helped explain how we could self-repair a similar issue in the future as well as spending 10-15 minutes waiting to make sure the issue didn't reappear before he left. He was very professional, courteous, and helpful. We would recommend.

I had an alarm light and beeping coming from my filtration system. They came out the day after I called, and DJ explained to me how the filtration system worked and replaced the ultraviolet light bulb. He was very helpful in explaining the system to me and gave me direction on what filters to replace and when. We are new to West Fargo and have found Home Plumbing and Heating to be a reliable and reasonably priced plumbing and heating contractor. Will definitely use them again.

Trevor from Home Heating service our fireplace and did an excellent job. Looks like it's practically brand new. Well worth the fee. Trevor was very personable, friendly and professional. He did an outstanding job of cleaning up after himself. He's a great asset to Home Heating. He also serviced our electric heater which took 10 minutes of him checking the filter and the electrical wiring. Informed I should replace the filter which I had to order online. For what we got, the service fee seemed very expensive. Especially when I had to spend another $40 on a filter. My system uses a 4 inch thick filter. For that kind of fee for a 10 minute check of wires, I think the filter should have been included, even if Home had to order it for me. If they would have covered the filter cost, I would have given them a 5 star review.

I have worked with Home Heating on a number of things from new AC install, sump install, and general HVAC maintenance. The people I have worked with starting in sales are always willing to answer my questions and work with me to figure out the best solution to things. I never feel like they are selling me what they want to sell me but rather what works best for my situation. Also, the technicians, both installation and maintenance are always clean and professional. Update: Called to get a new garbage disposal installed. While they were here I inquired about some new faucets that I was meaning to have installed as wall as one faucet that has poor pressure. They gladly installed the faucets and fixed the pressure issue while they were here (added to the cost of the garbage disposal of course). I was impressed they took time out of their day to do this even though it hadn't been discussed initially.

I wasn't sure if our AC unit was running correctly. So I had Home htg come out and check it out. I thought that it might need a new fan motor as i didn't see the fan running. The technician checked out everything and confirmed it had a sensor that once the AC warmed up allowed the fan to kick. Everything was working correctly despite that fact our AC unit is 34 years old. The Technician was on time, very knowledgeable, and professional.

Home Heating has serviced our equipment since we purchased our home so when it came time to replace our 30 year old equipment they were one of the first people we called. Joe was great to work with in getting a quote. He answered all our questions and sent us a quote the same day he came out. We did get quotes from other contractors but Home came in a bit cheaper than others and were more professional and friendly. Nick and Reggie did our install and they were great! They showed up early, finished an hour before the quoted time and made sure to walk us through everything we needed to know about our new furnace and AC. Our thermostat did fail a few days after the install but Home was quick to come out an replace it under warranty! I called because our water heater had completely quit working. It was -20 degrees out so I thought they would be booked solid fixing peoples furnaces and such, and that it would be a long time before someone could come fix my issue. I didn't catch the name of the guy on the phone, but he was very courteous and helpful. Justin Aguirre showed up about 20 minutes after my phone call, knew right away that we needed a new water heater, under warranty, and had it installed in what I considered incredibly fast. Justin was very professional, worked hard and fast, and was pleasant to deal with. My expectations were far exceeded today, and I thank Home Heating for the quick service and Justin specifically for the great work.

This is the 3nd time we have had Home come fix our HVAC. Our furnace once & AC twice. Our furnace would kick on but then shut off right away. Tech showed us the issue (flame sensor was dirty) & how to fix it ourselves if it happened again. 2nd visit was to recharge the Freon. They were very helpful & informative. A couple years later our AC unit was running very noisily. The tech couldn't replicate the noise but was very receptive to our explanations & came up with a solution as well as alternatives should the fix not work. Very courteous, professional, & informative. I highly recommend Home for your HVAC needs.

I liked the prompt service from the time I called to schedule until I had an appointment was less than 3 hours. While I needed to have two separate service times (one for the furnace and one for the fireplace), I appreciated the quick scheduling. The only negative comment I would make is that the service technician said someone from the office would call regarding details of the furnace replacement scheduled the following Monday (this was Thursday) and I did not receive a call so needed to call them late Friday afternoon and got everything resolved.

Then we scheduled him for service. We became desperate because of the hot and humid conditions, so I called Joe to ask if we could get in earlier if there was a cancellation. Later that morning he called to say that he indeed had a crew he could send down the next day. They attended to their business, called when they were finished, and followed our wishes regarding the old unit. We were thrilled! As far as value goes, I don’t know if it’s good value or not. The Workmanship was also Excellent. It was well done, done on time, and tidy. This job was part of a whole-house remodeling project in a 105-year-old farmhouse. All of the old ductwork was removed and a new two-zone system was installed, including a propane furnace, electric plenum heater, and central air conditioner. The installers did an excellent job of efficiently placing the ducts, preserving ceiling heights, and getting the heat where it is needed. In any remodeling project there are always challenges that come up. The installers met every challenge and found ways of getting the job done right while preserving the look and functionality of the house. The workmanship was excellent. Every heat and return run was well planned and really became a work of art when the job was completed. The materials they used were all good quality, with many special fittings that were perfect for the job. They also coordinated well with the general contractor and other tradesmen. Overall, I’m very pleased with the work performed by Home Heating on this project. I would hire them again without hesitation based on this very favorable experience.

We had work done in August of 2016 and couldn't be happier! I spoke to Heather in the office who made sure we were taken care of and that we received prompt service. She sent Brandon over to look as to why our air wasn't working. We had just built our house about two years prior so beings it was a new unit, we were kind of disappointed that we were already having problems. He took a look at the unit, ran a few tests and came back the next day. Since it had only been a few years, we were still under warranty for parts but not labor. As we know, labor is sometimes the most expensive part. After he determined what the issue was, I asked about the warranty and had mentioned that it was kind of a bummer because we were right outside of warranty but the unit is still so new. We really had only used the air unit for one summer. He went outside to grab some tools and to call the shop. When he returned, it was to my surprise that they were going to cover ALL costs and not make us pay. Not only did he fix our issue timely, but he also took customer service to a whole other level. My wife and I had a home built a couple of years ago, and we are now in the process of finishing the rest of our basement. My wife and I are managing the project ourselves through subcontractors, and we needed some heat runs added and I had a lot of questions. Matt took the time to answer questions for me related to the project on several occasions and either answered when I called in or called me back within a half hour of leaving a message. What puts Home Heating above the rest of the group? It's because they were there when we needed them. On Nov. 2nd over the night we ran out of oil, I emailed Matt T. Monday morning seeing if we could get in sooner. Matt T. and Glen worked together to find away to get us the furnace installation by Tuesday, a total of 15 minutes wait until he called me with success. This meant so much since I have a young child. Tuesday morning arrived, Matt and Jeremy showed up 15 minutes early. They were polite and explained the plan to me step by step. When they were done they walked me though everything they had done, along with the thermostat and how to set it up. From my first phone call through the process including the follow up with me a week later has been an amazing experience.

**still unhappy but adjusted my one star rating to three as I received another call after I posted the one star review and was asked if I could adjust it as I am getting a whole $34 refunded to me.*** Called to have someone come look at my toilet as it was leaking. The receptionist set up an appointment but didn’t mention pricing at all. The plumber came out and took a look for about twenty minutes (the plumber was very polite and helpful) I was then told the fee for coming out was $94. I’m a new home owner and I have little experience with plumbers, I’ve had contractors come out but it’s always been free until you have actual work done. I paid the $94 but I was surprised I wasn’t told of any fee beforehand by the receptionist or plumber. I was disappointed when I talked to the manager who became very defensive and rude and was told it was my duty as a consumer to ask beforehand and then was asked by him if I work for free. I do agree I should have asked first but I also think it should be their company’s policy to tell the customer what price they charge before you agree to an appointment.

Bryan from Home Heating came to do a clean and service and check on problems with fan turning on at proper time. He was very professional and gladly answered all our questions. He went through the through all the connections to see if there were any problems and made a few wiring changes to see if that would solve the problem. 2 of the 3 fusible links were bad and were replaced. He determined the problems may have been caused by the thermostat and recommended replacing it if I felt comfortable to do it on my own or he would be glad to do it but did let me know that it obviously would be a fair bit more expensive to have it done professionally. I appreciated that he would not try to push that it needed to be done by him for a price, if he thought it could be handled by the homeowner in most cases.

Home Heating did our HVAC on our new build so when it was time to finish our basement we called them for a quote. The quote came very quick which often isn't the case. Scheduling the job was easy and the guys showed up right on time. The whole basement was finished that day. We did have them come back and tape our seams (which I guess isn't required anymore) and they came right back out to do it. When the job was done it came in under the bid! We had a drywall crew accidentally rock over a return vent that we noticed and we were worried that the drywall crew might have covered up another one that we couldn't remember. We called Home Heating and one of the guys from our job called me back that afternoon and walked me through the whole basement and where all the vents they placed were located. Fast service. I had an outside spigot that lost pressure over the winter. It didn't freeze up either. He diagnosed the problem and made sure it was alright to cut into my ceiling to find out where we could fix it. He determined it was the galvanized pipe connectio that had been corroded over time and was almost collapsed. He replaced it and now it works great. They were clean,they put down drop cloths everwhere they worked, after they were gone I searched I found one (1) stray screw in the river rocks we have around the foundation.
