We were in a must replace situation with our furnace. We had four bids and there’s was by far the best. The whole crew was professional and did a great job. The furnace and ductwork are great. Fully recommend them.

Great ideas and help figuring out a couple of significant projects in our “new” home (20 years old). Did some creative cold air return duct work in the basement last winter. This fall the guys put a heater in our garage which was continuation of planning we did together starting a year ago. They still had the bid handy and used it to give us the same price quote as a year ago. Crew and workmanship have been top notch with each project. These guys are it for our future home HVAC work. Thank you!

Practical systems tackled the installation of new venting to add a hood to our kitchen and move a gas line for our range top. Everyone was professional and helpful throughout the process. We did run into a couple issues including the estimate not taking into consideration that we have a shingle roof that they could not vent through as they had planned to do. But they were helpful in directing us to find another professional that could do the work for us. This delayed the work a couple days as they could not continue until another company finished the roof work for them. Practical systems credited back the additional money we spent on a separate contractor from their bid. So it didn't end up coasting us any more. The other delay came when the appointment was not made through Practical Systems to line up an inspector. They apologized for dropping the ball on that and we had to delay the finish of the project several more days until an inspector could come out. The finished project is very nice. So although it was disappointing to run into these problems I am very happy with how they worked to resolve issues and admit their fault. All companies have problems here and there. It is how they handle it that is most important to me.

Purchased 2 Mitsubishi Split System HIVAC 's Received multiple bids before selecting this vendor. Very impressed with the time the salesman took with me and his knowledge of the product line. This was not an easy application to tackle but they did a wonderful job. Units were as promised and described. Service & Installers were very polite. Very pleased with this operation and would highly recommend.

We had a gas insert put in an are very impressed with the service. Not only did PS come in at 1/2 the competition's price, they were also very easy to work with and very professional. They install our entire system, including adding a gas in, in about 6 hours including inspection. John was fantastic to have working on our project and explained the entire system to us. I would definitely recommend PS for you fireplace needs.

Professional, respectful, timely, and intentional in explaining the new heating system and peripheral upgrades to my understanding. Team also made sure the directions were clearly written and understood ('air flow', furnace filter options, routine care of new furnace). Cleaned up after work completed, above and beyond. Even as a seasoned homeowner, this team still exceeded all of my expectations. Bonus points were given by my cat, who purred and rubbed approvingly against the warmth of the new furnace long after the strangers were gone...

My furnace stopped working on one of the coldest days of the year, and I was fortunate enough to have a technician named Noah repair the problem in an efficient and high-quality manner. He was very friendly, patient and talked through everything that he was checking throughout his evaluation of my furnace to uncover the problem. I learned quite a bit from him actually! After dealing with another company who wouldn't return my calls or answer my questions, and then told my insurance company "they don't think they install furnaces" (they do, it's on their website AND they are one of the largest installers in the area), I dumped them and went with Practical Systems. They were fantastic from start to finish -- they returned my calls on the same day, had great communication, worked seamlessly with my insurance company, and the installers themselves (Josh and Eric) were outstanding. They completed the install in half a day and when I got home there was absolutely no mess. It looked like a new furnace had magically appeared in my home! In addition, the new Daikin furnace they installed is top notch. These guys are the real deal.

The rep who sold us our Mitsubishi mini-splits was way more knowledgeable than reps from the other companies whose bids we solicited, and he mapped out a cooling system that allowed us to have the cooling units on opposite sides of our house, connected to one compressor (or whatever it is called). Our experience since with maintenance and response time has been perfect. The technicians are prompt, respectful, and good at troubleshooting (not that we’ve had anything major - just needing more refrigerant).

Practical Systems installed the HVAC system in a basement remodel project that included installing a separate basement zone. The new zone has worked out very well in the house. The installers were always on-time and worked efficiently to get the project done. The quality of work was excellent. Practical Systems also came out last winter when my furnace blower malfunctioned. They replaced it with a new blower on the same day.

I came here to write how a practical systems driver sped through a stop sign and almost hit me turning onto 57th by university. To make it worse he turns right into the far left lane and I see him look for traffic after he’s into the road then get on his phone! Crazy

We had Practical Systems give us quotes for a new AC, humidifier, dehumidifier, and gas lines (for our fireplace inserts). We moved forward with the humidifier and gas line work. They were communicative every step of the way. They told me what steps were next and explained the work. The two installers did outstanding work. They took no shortcuts. They were truly top-notch professionals. In the spring, we will use them again for other work. I highly recommend them!

We moved into a townhouse that had an Aprilair home humidifier that did not work. Wanting to get it set before the heating season. It took two trips. The first to diagnose the wiring, which was wrong and a control from 1980 that was shot. We decided on a remote control system and it was installed on the second trip. The service times were both right on time and work was excellent. Well the heat is on, the whole house humidifier is working. The things I notice first the plants need less watering, no shocks from the carpet and a totally warmer house.

Our heater quit working and after sorting through a handful of businesses I finally decided on Practical Systems. And I am glad I did. They came out the same day I called and their rate was a little more reasonable that the others I called. The technician (Chad) diagnosed the problem, got the part ordered and came out on a Saturday to install it. Once installed the unit worked fine until Monday. Called them Monday night and left a message they got back to me right away on Tuesday and sent Chad back out that same day. Got it working again but noticed that there may be a bad connection on the main board. A few days later it quit working, I once again called and they said they would send Chad back out with a new board to get it fixed. This time they only charged me for the part! They have gone above and beyond all expectations and I would recommend them to anyone.

My thermostat quit working and I called PS for the repair. I rarely write reviews, but was so impressed with Robert's attitude, efficiency and proficiency that I had to share. Some repair people come with one intent - to fix the problem and get out as quickly as possible. Robert's intent was to figure out what was wrong, find a solution and then see how else he could help. He got my neighbor's hose and cleaned out my air conditioning unit. Then he cleaned out hers as well. He said his goal is to be the nicest person you've met that day. Robert - you reached your goal for today!!! THANKS so much for your service and your professionalism. I can't often say I enjoyed having someone over for home repairs, but I certainly did today.
