Absolutely fantastic to work with. We had an old crawl space furnace with central air replaced, and they did a fabulous job. Fair prices and they do the work promised. They also went above and beyond by helping with a thermostat installation that wasn’t part of the bid. Adam & Ben did most of the tear out and installation and were a pleasure to work with. Dustin did the initial consultation and Corey put together the 3 system options for us to evaluate, and they were all a pleasure to do business with. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Phil’s again in the future. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I recently bought a house that wasn't exactly put together correctly. My heating consisted of in-floor heating and a gas fireplace. It was too cold this winter so I worked with Cory on some options. Peter and Adam were able to work some magic by installing a furnace without having to completely destroy my basement ceiling. Now, my house feels like a normal house in MN winters so I'm quite pleased with this company.

Dustin showed up MUCH earlier than I was expecting and despite it being a bit of a chaotic scene he was able to get right to work. The issue was diagnosed and resolved quickly, and he stuck around for a bit to make sure everything was working as it should. (He even put up with my 90 lb overly friendly big black dog without batting an eye!) Many thanks to Dustin for his great work!

Corey made two trips to our home to look at a chugging noise that our baseboard heat/boiler was making. It was a mystery, for sure! He was so good with our 140 lb. dog who wanted to "help", was patient and informative in answering all of my questions and took the time to explain how the system works. In the end, the noise just stopped, so Corey didn't even charge us! Phil's has earned themselves a new customer thanks to Corey.

I was very happy with my furnace repair and the courtesy and helpfulness of Dustin , the repairman. He even checked the thermostat I had just installed and tightened the wire. He also promised to call at a later date to check how the furnace was performing.

Technician actually was able to arrive early, called to confirm I was at home, did a fast, professional job of repair. Also, he was courteous and cleaned up what little mess he made. Would definitely recommend!

He explained the cost of repairs needed before any work was done! When it came to cost they were even offering to work with us on payment due to the weather this time of year! Installed a new furnace 7 years ago. Serviced it on year 2 and several times since. Had to replace the circuit board this year. Unfortunately the part warrant was only for 5 years. Of course labor was never included in the warranty. At least the can get here in a reasonable amount of time. No fun when the furnace goes out in the sub zero weather. It negative was the tech saying they'd leave the ticket open since the furnace stopped acting up. He said that bill me when the had something to fix. The bill ended up in collections rather then calling me and letting me know. Oh well life goes on.

We arrived at our Cabin New Years Eve to 42*, needless to say we were stressed as we don’t know a lot of service industry people up there. I called 3 different Furnace repair people around 6:00am New Years Day. Phil called back within 5 minutes and was able to get to us in the morning. He had to come back in the evening and the next day to get it fully working but he was honest, professional and even gave me names of other great people to call in area for other services. He will definitely be my 1st call for any heating or cooling issues in the Brainerd area!

Not once has he ever left me stranded. I totally trust Phil's opinion and I wouldn't question it. He is the only person I can say that about. He really looks out for his customers safety and well-being. He doesn't try selling you anymore than what you need and only if and when you absolutely need it. Our family experience a gas leak. The fire marshal deemed building unsafe until the repairs were made and I contacted Phil's heating first thing in the morning they were there within 2 hours the inspector showed up at 2:00 and was very pleased with their work and the fact they took photographs of the work before and after. I would highly recommend Phil's heating to anybody. The building received a clean bill of health and we were able to get back into the building in less than 24 hours after the emergency thank you Phil's heating.

He thoroughly checked out my furnace and added glycol to my in floor boiler system to get the pressure to where the system did not ping and knock. Very knowledgeable on both fronts and Dustin told me what watch out for per my furnace being an aging older model. Great job all the way around! Thank you!
