Mike T. arrived right on time and promptly put on a face mask and booties on his shoes, something I always appreciate. He clearly explained what he was going to do during a furnace check, then worked away for almost an hour, making sure that everything was working properly. Then he walked me through what he'd accomplished, which was very reassuring, with the winter heating season approaching. Then at my request he even looked over the ac unit outside, since it had been bumped by a landscaper's equipment during the summer. All in all, Mike T. is an excellent representative of the high quality work that I've come to expect from Krinkie's, and I'm always happy to welcome him into my home.

We've been using Krinkie's for a few years now and are continually blown away by the quality of their service, their professionalism and their willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done right. They did a great job installing our new split level AC units. And, recently, when one of the units (mfgr. issue) was giving Joe (the technician) a problem that Krinkie's hadn't encountered before, he was committed to getting to the bottom of it in the right way. He was innovative, considerate, persistent and communicative throughout the problem-solving process. AND he was clear about next steps and what to expect for follow up (which is wonderful). Plus, when he saw that I was wearing a mask when he arrived, he put one on too. It's that level of service and consideration that has made us repeat customers. Krinkie's is our first choice for all our AC and heating needs.

They installed 2 cutoff vales for a shower and replaced a block valve for an outside faucet. The work was fast and clean. The two workers were polite and responsive to questions. The price was set up front and no extra charges were involved. They charged $109 to show up and about $350 for 1.5 hours work. I am not sure if this is the going rate or not but it seemed OK to me for the work involved.

Frank Installed a shower mixing valve. He was professional in every way, answering questions while he worked. He was polite, deferential, and unassuming. He pointed out an unrelated plumbing issue that I should monitor closely. He quickly showed me how to access the interior of my gas log fireplace for cleaning. Why do water and other emergencies happen after hours or weekends? Not sure there is an answer but Krinkie's was just the sort of quick response we needed when we noticed water on our dining room floor. Service was very quick to respond, and master plumber Joe DeWaele came when expected (called first to confirm the issue and his ETA). Upon arrival, assessed the situation, ruled out a couple potential problems and discussed next steps. We felt much better after his visit. Joe was extremely pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and very helpful.

What can I say? Joe D saves the day and $13k. the prelude to winter cold weather last week hit us unprepared. We have a boiler and radiator type of heating system in our house. the boiler is running but it's not warming. Called Bon** to check the boiler. the guy said that we need a new one because it's old and the stack is in dangerous level (like over 2,000) of CO. he shuts it down and posted a red card (MN law that if CO is high the boiler should be shutdown). then quoted me for a new one of about 13k. a friend of mine advised me to call another company for the second opinion, guess what, he came and saw the red card, he just checked the boiler here and there and agreed with the first Bon** guy and offered me to replace the boiler with many option but it would still cost me at least 10k. Then I called Krinkie's, because I saw their sticker attached to the boiler (Krinkie's did the service 7 yrs ago when we first bought the house). Joe D. came and looked at the red card again but went on to really checked the boiler and found out that some kind of "switch" got stuck. when he went to adjust the "switch", the copper pipe started to warm up, and ran a test at the stack and CO level is 0 and never goes up above 5. That was just incredible, from dark clouds to bright and sunny sky. Joe D is the best. saved from unnecessary spending of 10k. our old boiler is still up and running, he only replaced the circulating pump plus enrolled on Krinkie's program. spent only around $600+ vs 10-13k. I totally recommend Krikie's Heating. Check them out, you'll be happy you did.

I checked off many of the services that Paul performed yesterday and also checked the ones that he has performed over the years. He has been servicing my furnace and a.c. for many years and guided me through the purchase of new ones - when necessary - and also came out on a Saturday night when my OLD hot water heater broke = - and guided me through that problem and installed a new one - -went over and above on a Saturday night looking for the right size heater. Did everything that he could do to try and locate the right size hot water heater - -after hours- on a weekend. Paul is always on time -- very friendly and goes above and beyond what would be expected. He offers many valuable tips and answers questions about not only heating and a.c. but other "mechanical" things as well and gives advice as to things that need to be done and good places to call, etc. I have been "burned" in the past by not getting proper referrals. Now I rely on Paul for advice on that. He never hesitates to answer a queston and is so very knowledgeable about his job and does a remarkable job. I would highly recommend Paul and Krinkie's to anyone. I have used them for years and not once have I been disappointed. After having other types of maintenance people doing other things here with construction, etc., I more than ever appreciate Paul and the job he does here. We had a new construction home and we're having issues with our two stage furnace where it would shut off when it was below 0 that the builder hvac contractor could not resolve. Mike was able investigate the issue and found some adjustments were needed to solve the problem. Really appreciate the thoroughness and expert help to diagnose and resolve our issue. Mike was also able to ask their master plumber via phone while he was still on site with a unique plumbing issue we were also having and got a helpful recommendation on what we could try first. On 05-Jan, 2023, Shane arrived at our home to complete the furnace repair, that consisted of replacing the secondary heat exchanger, which is a major job. Shane was friendly, very respectful of our home, and happy to explain what he needed to do. In fact, I feel like I received a master class in how a gas powered condensing furnace operates. Shane is very organized in how he dismantles a furnace, and the full dismantle to replace the Carrier heat exchanger, was done in less time than estimated, and the furnace started on the first try. No corrections required. I will confidently recommend Krinkie's to anyone because they offer great customer service, communication and quality work for a fair price.

I had Krinkie's come to replace a shower valve cartridge. Their plumber Frank came. It was quite the effort getting it out - it was stuck - but he persisted until he got it out, preventing a more expensive replacement of the entire valve, and replaced the valve only. In late January during -30 degree weather our furnace died about 7 pm. Krinkies, unlike the many other companies we tried, had an on-call technician answer the phone (24/7 it turns out) and came to our home w/i an hour. The problem was diagnosed and he gave us many portable heaters to keep us warm. The next day we met with an office rep and within 2 days we had a new furnace (and added a new AC to meet code). All of it was done professionally with very knowledgable technicians. Our old furnace leaked like crazy (the steel components were not assembled well by the Snelling Furnace Co technician years ago). Not the Krinkies furnace. It is well built. We recenlty used the AC and it works well too. Look no further than this company for your St. Paul and north end furnace and AC needs. I had an issue with my humidifier; it was not working. I called Krinkie Heating hoping to get someone to come out the following day, but I was surprised when I told someone would be at my house within two hours of less. Within approximately an hour, Mike B was knocking at my door. He came in fixed my humidifier, and he also checked my furnace. As usually, I hadn’t changed the filter. Mike then did a complete furnace checkup. He also suggested that I join krinkie’s club for my home as I was already a member for my rental property. I was a little hesitant to pay the entire yearly fee at once, but Mike suggested that I paid the fees monthly. When I heard this, I joined the club plan. I believe I got a good deal. Plus, I feel good knowing that krinkie will be checking my furnace behind me. I’d like to add that Mike was very professional. I have always had a professional experience with Krinkie Heating in the past. I would recommend them to anyone.

Frank came several times (we needed to wait a bit for a new sink to arrive first) and he could not have been more professional and done a better job. Frank reflushed the toilet repeatedly to ensure that the problem was solved. When it came time to buy new units, I called them first to get a quote. David Krinkie explained the equipment options, costs and answered all my questions so that I could easily understand. This relieved a lot of anxiety for me because I am frequently out of state. The install went well. They were very considerate of how looked. They had to remove some sheet rock in the garage to add the new exhaust pipes and they ended up fabricating custom heat shields to cover the holes when the pre-made ones wouldn’t fit. They replaced the copper gas pipe with more solid black piping. The exterior work on the AC unit is very nice and instead of just guessing on the proper charging of the AC system since it was too cold to do so yesterday, they said they will comeback in the spring and do it properly. They put down drop clothes on the carpet and did a full clean up and vacuuming after the project. I was very impressed with both the quality of work and the costumer service.

Joe did an amazing job figuring out our complex Heating System in our new home, and fixing an intermittent issue with our heat not coming on. They were also able to install a Smart Thermostat when I was told by another provider that it "wasn't possible". We will be going to Krinkie's for our future HVAC needs.

We called Krinkie's for a central heating emergency on a weekend. They were able to have a technician arrive within 1.5 hours. The technician (Dan) quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem and went to great lengths to keep failing part functional until a new part could be obtained. The next day, Mike B. arrived and installed the new part. After installing the new part, he performed combustion safety checks that should have been done during a previous year's maintenance and apparently were not. Those tests revealed a major problem with the furnace. At that point we decided to purchase a new furnace. Mike then removed and returned the new part and did not charge for his 1st class work. Both he and Dan were courteous, knowledgeable, professional and informative. We then worked with David to put together the pricing of a new HVAC system. He went to great lengths to explain the pros and cons of the various options and really worked to provide us with the best system at the best price. The installation team of Ryan, Kevin and Andy had a difficult job installing the new system and had to fabricate new ducting on site. They too were 1st rate and great to work with. During the installation, David and Jeff came on site to make certain that the installation was problem free. Because of their professionalism and expertise, a potentially serious situation was avoided and we ended with a excellent HVAC system at a competitive price. I will be using Krinkies in the future for all of my HVAC needs.
