I called Hero just to get an idea of price for recessed lighting installation. From start to finish the service I received was top notch! They gave me great information and pricing estimates and scheduled a technician out in just a couple days. When Kris got to my home it was nothing short of great communication. We discussed the project, which he provided options and then pricing. Little did I know, he’d get started right afterwards! Kris was very personable and gave me play-by-play throughout the installation. When completed he walked me through the completed work to assure he had my approval and thanked me for using Hero. Kris was simply amazing and the project looks phenomenal! Glad I called them and met Kris.

While they aren't always the cheapest, they are the fastest and make sure to get the job done right. Thanks to Nick Tovino for the in-depth boiler inspection and service on the system we had installed a few years ago! Nothing prepares you for the enormity of this repair. Nothing prepares you for the unexpected as you go down the line and it just keeps getting worse. I highly recommend getting 3 quotes. The prices for this repair can vary from $75/ft -$150 for digging and for the liner $75/ft -$150. The base prices also vary. Hero Plumbing charges $1665/5’ of trench digging….I’m glad it’s done, but be careful. I feel like I paid double for this job. And they left the garbage in the hole after I asked them multiple times to make sure it was pulled out. Hero also just put the dirt and sand they dug out of my yard to get to the sewer line directly onto my lawn. As you can imagine, when they returned the dirt to the holes my lawn was destroyed. I have watched 5 other jobs on my block get done after my sewer line was replaced. Those companies put down plywood on the clients lawns and when the holes were refilled there was little damage to the lawn that the plywood protected. It’s another story trying to get the spikes that were inserted at the time of the sidewalk replacement. Multiple emails, multiple calls. They came and removed the signs making people aware of these spikes on the new sidewalk, but threw the tape on the ground and left these very dangerous spikes “invisible” when walking in the dark. They also did not repair my cement correctly, they did not replace my last step that was broken but made it all flat to match the sidewalk. This too has seen no resolve or compensation. Finally, they came and finished the sidewalk, pulled the spikes, and took out the sidewalk form. It took persistent phone calls to get it finished. The concrete worker also just threw the garbage in my yard instead of taking it with him. 11/4/2021 they left a message saying they’d be back in the spring to add additional dirt and fill the holes around the concrete. I contacted them on April 1, 2022. I’ll update if this gets resolved. Called to do a follow-up on the dirt/yard issue that was to be resolved from last fall again on May 6. I was told I would get a call back from that department on Monday May 8. I have still not gotten a return call. Wait til you see what I found when I was cleaning out around the new concrete so it would be cleared if they ever follow-up and fill it in with dirt. Picture to follow.

Cam and the entire team at Hero did a terrific job repairing the main sewer line at our 1922 house in Saint Louis Park. They were on-time, professional and thorough - I can't say enough about the high quality of work and communication they provided to me as the home owner. We worked with Tony to set up our purchase and he was very knowledgeable, honest and polite. He was able to get us set up for installation the same day after our old furnace stopped working! Tye, Aaron and Sang completed our installation of our new furnace/AC unit and did a great job! They had it done in no time at all and made sure we understood our new system! They were all very nice and even took time to talk with our curious 3.5 year old. They kept our home clean, and were very professional. I’ve had stopped up plumbing off and on for years. It had gotten more frequent, and this is the first company that ever took the time to really find the source of the issue. Edit: Yet again another great experience with Hero! The member plan is great as I needed them just last week and again yesterday. This time to replace my main shut off valves and install a water softener. The exact price/options were explained before starting and they handled everything, including getting the city out to turn my water off. Travis was amazing, he explained everything very well and went beyond in talking us through installing our bathroom valves. Again very grateful, thank you!!:) Original: First time using Hero, very easy process and quick to get out here! We had Brian and he was amazing, he was like a friend as soon as he stepped into our home. He was very helpful and fixed our drain issues plus some. Our family recently received EXCELLENT service from Hero when our electrical panel needed an unexpected replacement. I received excellent service from my first call to the office to schedule an appointment through the completion of the project. Our electrician Jose Perez (along with his colleague Sam) did an excellent job!!! Jose was on-time and extremely professional, communicating all of our options for replacement and even financing (if needed). He executed the job with excellence, kept me informed along the way, reviewed the final product with me, answered all of my questions and also left the work area clean. Lance did a great job detecting and fixing a gas leak we had in our home. He showed us how they detect them and how to turn off the gas to the house. I feel a lot safer in my home now. He was very thorough and professional. I 100% recommended Hero Plumbing and Heating for any of your needs. They also replaced our furnace earlier in the spring and they did a great job on that as well. Both jobs were done in two days. They didn’t leave me waiting.

I called Hero yesterday and they came out within twelve hours. I talked to Sarah to schedule the repair and she was exceptionally understanding and kind - absolutely fantastic customer service. Lance the plumber was incredible: very kind and straightforward. He fixed the leak (behind the hot water shut off valve for the bathroom faucet) by taking out a section of the pipe and putting in a new joint. I'm a twenty-eight-year-old female homeowner, and most repair people are condescending or take advantage, but not Lance or Hero. The repair was affordable, and he took time to explain what I would be charged for. The leak had been coming through the ceiling downstairs: Lance was thorough in making sure the leak was completely taken care of, and recommended another company he trusts to look at the water damaged ceiling. I am so thankful! I will absolutely call Hero again for any plumbing needs in the future.

I would rate six stars if I could. I had a tech come out to inspect and tune our furnace prior to the heating season. They were able to send someone out the next day and they were able to confirm with amp draws, efficiencies, and pictures what I had been hypothesizing: our furnace was old and on its last legs. Found out our AC was on its way out too. We talked through options to replace parts to keep the existing running through the winter but ultimately we decided to put the money into a new furnace instead. The project engineer came out an hour after the tech left, did load calcs on our home, and provided us with new furnace and AC options along with rebate details and financing. They had a crew and materials available to begin work the next day but we decided to push it back a few days. The installers (team of two and an electrician that came later) came and were very professional, clean, respectful, knowledgeable and experienced. They began work right away in the morning and were wrapping things up around lunch time. When they were doing their walk through, I had a few questions that they were more than happy to answer and provided me with peace of mind knowing my new system inside and out. Pricing was comprehensive and transparent; no hidden fees and included parts, labor, environmental fees, permits, haul-away of old equipment, their 'bumper-to-bumper' warranty and regular preventative maintenance. I would recommend Hero to anyone!

Fantastic job! I searched for a plumber at 6:45am on a Friday and by 8:45am the same day, I had Phil in the house working on the problem. Super efficient, up front, and thorough! We had a great experience with Hero to replace our aging sump pump and battery backup. Garrett showed up right on time (7am) and stayed until the job was done. He did a great job explaining our options and was able to install the upgrades same day. From the scheduling to completion of service, we have been impressed with Hero. I had a sudden sewer back up at 8pm on a Tuesday night. I called Hero, and they were able to send someone to my house by 8:30am the next morning. Stephon was very professional, and was able to clean my sewer drain so that I could start using water again. Before he left, he got me scheduled for a camera inspection at no additional cost for Friday since he did pull up some roots and he wasn’t able to fully clean the sewer (possibly due to structural problems with the pipe). I really appreciated that Hero had a sale going on for $93 main sewer cleaning, and that was the total price that I paid. There were no hidden fees. I will definitely choose Hero for future plumbing needs. Update: Austin came out on Friday to do the camera inspection at no additional cost. He was very professional and friendly. He explained everything he was doing and showed me what we were seeing on the camera. He answered all my questions about the various repair/cleaning options, and he sent me an email with the video and quotes for 3 different services I might choose to have done. All at NO additional cost from the cleaning service I had done on Wednesday. I’m very impressed with Hero and feel that they are a very honest company with honest and friendly technicians.

Chris did a great job for us. We needed a new outlet for the stove we just purchased. We did not know this was needed until just prior to the appliance delivery. Fortunately, Hero was able to schedule an electrician quickly. Chris showed up on time and immediately set to work checking the space and materials needed. He did the work quickly and efficiently, explaining things as he did them. He was friendly, cheerful and easy to work with. He was definitely our HERO today! Now the new stove can come on schedule!

In 2015, I had a 8ft segment of my main drain replaced. From start to finish, they did it in less than 12 hours with easy financing available. It's never a cheap fix, but they made it palatable. The replacement had "U-Pipes" up to ground level. Fast forward to yesterday evening, tree roots infiltrated my terra cotta sewer drain causing a sewage backup in my basement utility sink. The issue was resolved by 8:30AM. Anthony, the service tech, was awesome. Great attitude, very professional, respectful, punctual, and intuitive. Because of the system put in place nearly 7 years ago, the project was a breeze, and it only cost me $93. Hero Home Services, ya nailed'er bud!

Hero was very responsive in getting me scheduled for some urgent home plumbing maintenance the next day after I called (it wasn't urgent enough to justify immediate). They kept me updated on the status of the technician they were sending out, Brad. Brad was personable and very knowledgeable. He kept me informed of what he needed to do and proceeded to fix my broken shower/tub faucet in a very timely manner. He was well stocked and had everything he needed to get it fixed and get the faucet replaced. Very impressed and relieved to have it fixed so quickly.

Technician was great. Friendly, on time and professional. Office support needs work!! I have been a “happy homeowner” member for 5 years, Since I installed furnace. The past couple of years I did definitely not get treated as a premium customer. I had to call to schedule biannual maintenance because I NEVER got called first. Appointments were ALWAYS late in the season (late November for fall tune up and June or July for spring). Then, when something was scheduled the appointments were Cancelled and rescheduled because you were too busy handling emergency calls. It seems to me that the point of maintenance calls is to prevent emergency calls. If I had needed repair because the maintenance was late I would have been furious. I almost do renew the program but I was told I HAD to renew or my warranty would be invalid, even if I used another firm to maintain. Not cool. When work was finally done it was good

Sewer backed up on Christmas of all the days to do so. I was able to get a plumber out right away after Christmas. Brandon Alexander was prompt, courteous and professional. He did his best but the situation couldn't be resolved. He had to escalate the problem to another tech with different equipment (next step up). In comes Chase Gunderson - another prompt, courteous and professional service rep. He gave us his honest opinion and It wasn't the outcome we were hoping for (digging up the sewer line) but probably for the best based on our situation. I would definitely call Hero again for their services. Everyone that was involved so far from our initial call, to them coming out to see what the problem was has been spot on professional. I just hope our next phase of fixing goes just as well.

We are totally pleased with how Hero has performed for us. Two days ago it was identified that our heating system needed to be replaced. Later that day a Hero representative arrived and helped us decide on which furnace to install. Installation was scheduled for the next afternoon. Max and Robbi the Hero installers arrived around 130 p.m. and had completed their work that afternoon. They did an excellent job of explaining how the new furnace and thermostat worked. We are completely satisfied with Hero.

Our furnace went out at 4 am in December and the Hero team was out to our place by 11 am. The whole team was so friendly and professional. John was very informative and showed us exactly what went wrong… Brian was very thorough and made sure we understood our options- and most importantly, he never made us feel pressured to make a decision. Before he left that day, Brian gave us three space heaters to get us thru the night. The next day, Tye and Patrick came out and and worked quickly to get our new furnace installed. We had Hero come out to give us an estimate on either moving our water softener or a new install. Lance came out that very day we called and gave us the choice of three options. He was very professional and gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. We opted for a new softener to be installed in the laundry room where it would be better accessible for us. Lance and Matt came the very next day ( even though it snowed heavily over night and traffic was slow). These two were just two of the four we've had in over the last two weeks to do work and all four were the most professional and courteous men we've ever had do work in our home. Moving and renovating a house can be chaotic and stressful at times - we had multiple contractors in our house but that did not stop Carl from providing great service. He committed long hours working to put up new light fixtures in our house so it would be ready for us when we move in. He did a wonderful job working along side other workers and was adaptable during the renovating/moving process. I cannot say enough good things about Hero! We woke up the morning of Christmas Eve and realized that our ancient boiler had finally breathed it's last breath. We were worried that we would never find someone to help us on Christmas Eve during the coldest week of the year, however that same day, Chad was out here to diagnose the issue. He confirmed that due to a gas leak and the boiler's age (50 years +) it was not safe to just fix it and we would definitely need a replacement. He was so patient as he explained the problem to us and took the time to educate and give us his expert opinion on the next boiler. By that afternoon, Brian was at our dining room table helping us understand our options for replacement and financing. He had rushed from picking his kids up on Christmas Eve to help us out. He was also our Hero and Santa Claus on Christmas Day when he dropped off space heaters to get us through. Although there were some issues with sourcing a boiler due to the holiday and supply chain issues, the team was incredibly communicative the whole way. By 3:00pm on the 27th we had a brand new boiler. Randy, Sang, and crew were so fast, professional, and friendly. Dropping so much money unexpectedly is never fun, but the whole crew at Hero made it as painless as possible and we are so grateful!

Thank you Hero. Seeing your commercials for main drain cleaning, making the call, and the helped i received, I cannot even fully express the amount of gratitude I have for Anthony Mann. His work ethic, his skill, his knowledge, determination, and kindness just goes beyond measure. I don't care how corny it seems, this guy really is a Hero. He cleared my main drain today and a camera person is already on the way for follow up the same day!! We have a large bonus room that we're making into a playroom for our daughters. It had 2 old light fixtures on the ceiling that were dated and didn't provide ample lighting for the space. We wanted to install 2 rows of recessed lighting along the ceiling, and remove the 2 old fixtures in the center. Carl was our technician and he did a great job with the installation and everything looks wonderful. The room has so much more light now and we're very happy with his work! We had a basic kitchen faucet install completed. Jake was great and it only took 45 minutes from knock on the door to completion. We had a very slow leak on the current faucet (if not shut off in a certain way) and needed to complete before leaving for the weekend. We purchased the faucet ourselves. The price for installation was very high even considering the waiving to the service call fee through their Happy Home program (for a 45 minute job), but we moved forward to get it done. We will get additional quotes for basic installs like this going forward.

I only had an estimation done and the estimation for my water line Plumbing that was needed was a little pricey for what I was looking for but I know you pay for what you get and I'm sure that the work would be exceptionally well. But I'm going to look around and try to see if I could get a better pricing otherwise I will definitely give them a try back. He explained that the furnace filters I was going to use were too heavy duty (MERV rating…who knew?) for my furnace. I’ve never had a furnace tuneup that included a hot water heater check and a camera check of my vents—all this for a very decent price.

The service was great. They showed up within less than 24 hours from when I called about main drain issues. When the first guy, Jason, who was sent found more damage than expected, another guy, Austin, with a camera was sent almost immediately afterwards. He was very nice and thorough. Austin and his crew did a great job replacing some piping in our yard. They were a blast to work with! I have also had Hero do my AC tune up which Gary has done both times. Gary always does great work, is very friendly and easy to talk to, and is also very knowledgeable when it comes to AC units. We are now having our AC unit replaced which Brandon showed up for to go over pricing and logistics of it all. He too was very pleasant and friendly to talk to. We had Hero replace our furnace back in January of '20. The guys showed up promptly in the morning and were in and out in no time. They too were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable and have been very satisfied with our furnace. Hero has done several repairs and installs for us. They are great at communicating with us about when and who (with a picture) will be coming out for the service call. They offer helpful hints and tips for us to maintain things ourselves, and things they would suggest to improve or systems. They never pushed us on anything, no thanks once is all it ever took. When they found our furnace was unsafe (crack in heat exchange)they automatically called another tech to come and verify before just tagging it as unsafe, and were able to install a new system the next day. We have not had anyone from Hero come who did not appear to enjoy their jog and working for Hero.

I called for an appointment and got one for the next day. Within a half hour they called me back to tell me my issue sounded pretty bad and they would have someone out within the hour. I was surprised,that they called me back, I hadn't been upset if asking for anything sooner, I know everyone is busy, but I was impressed and thought great, this is starting out pretty good. Well little did I know, things hadn't even began to go wel. John arrived shortly after, assessed my problem and went to work. He explained everything that was going on and what he would do to fix it right away. He set me up with another technician to help with another piece and had a restoration company to my house within an hour, instead of the following day that they told me it would be when I called the company myself. Oh, I should also mention that he accomplished what he told me he was going to do, leaving me able to go about my work day, which I fortunately do from home. My whole situation was even worse than usual because I had returned home to my house flooded from a sewer back up and unable to use any water w/o making things worse, after leaving the hospital for emergency surgery. I can honestly say I have never received such outstanding service as I did from John and from Hero. We all now what a nightmare sewer backups and flooding are, not to mention costly but when it comes with service like I received today, it's a little easier to bear. Today not only did I feel like received awesome service but I felt like the company I chose really cared. It might sound silly, but it meant the world to me. Thank John and the others. Per their customer service team, the company prides themselves in the quality and services they provide and know they are more costly than their competitors. I certainly give 5 stars to the Field Tech who did a great job. My only concern is the pricing of the repairs. There is no breakdown of your cost as everything is lumped together. I questioned their cost and was told their cost was lumped as labor 43%, indirect labor 33%, materials 14% and profit 10%. Before you call Hero or commit to the repair, shop around first for 1-2 repair quotes. A thermocouple repair cost that is roughly 1 hr repair or less will cost you at a high end of ~$700.

They were both timely and professional and we didn't feel like we paid too much. 1st one was a complete AC reinstall after our ac unit inside above the furnace wasn't working. Toilet snaking & check of main line flow. We had an issue that the toilet was slow to flush. After the snaking of the toilet and check that verified the main line flow was not the problem, it was determined the toilet jets were not working. The toilet would flush if a bucket of water was poured in the bowl. A new toilet was suggested. We will attempt to clean the jets before considering the expense of a new toilet. The service was professional and offered a variety of options for our situation as diagnosis progressed. I would call them again when a new situation occurs.

I bought a house with a 1927 gravity furnace five years ago. I knew I had to replace it but it took me years to get up the courage and save the money. I had 11 companies come out and give me estimates, and was super impressed by Tony, Hero's Estimator. He was thorough, patient, respectful, and not at all dismissive - which I appreciate as a young, single female homeowner. Hero's quote was very reasonable for the crazy amount of work that needed to be done (asbestos abatement, ripping out a 100-year-old cast iron furnace, all new ductwork), and they scheduled the job quickly to get it in before the weather got too cold. Everyone, from Tim and his abatement and removal team (who Hero contracted out), to Jeromy, Aaron, and the Hero Installation team - were fantastic. On time, clean, respectful, lovely, and kind with my dog. The work was done efficiently and Jeromy took lots of time to answer my questions and make sure we understood every element of the system during the final walkthrough. This kind of job isn't easy, and it isn't cheap - but Hero made a stressful process I've been avoiding for five years smooth and easy - and they didn't gouge me on price at all (some companies quoted me up to 8k over what Hero did). I'd highly, HIGHLY recommend Hero to anyone with a complex HVAC job, and certainly to anyone who needs a gravity furnace replaced. This is your sign. Call them!

Shortly after moving into our new house, we awoke on a Saturday morning and discovered our sump pump had malfunctioned. We'd worked with Hero at our old house, so we gave them a call. Within an hour our hero Troy was on site to fix the problem. He was as professional as he was friendly, and most importantly he repaired and replaced all that had failed and taught us a bit about how our new system was set up. Wet basements are never fun, but thankfully Hero came through and saved the day. A few weeks later there was a issue with our floor drain and another hero, Brandon, saved the day yet again! He got the drain cleared, and it should be smooth sailing from here on out!

I was very impressed with the admin and tech teams! They were all very courteous and took time to answer any questions. We had a clogged main drain, it was corrected - the techs who arived had the right tools to do the job they were paid to do. The reason that I did not write a 5-star review was two-fold. First, the team was supposed to show up in during an afternoon 4-hour window on a Friday. They did not as they were running late on other jobs. The admin team did call and was able to reschedule the following Saturday morning first thing - which they did and the main drain was cleared. I had taken advantage of the $89 clearing price advertised on TV. Less than two weeks later, we experienced another back up where I learned that a 'clearing' means exactly that - water was flowing again but the drain was not cleaned as I mistakenly thought. We then had to have a visual inspection that verified that there were actually two blockages. Of course, this this was done by another team, and then another had to come out to actually clean the drain, who in fairness, were able to come out the same day. This 'cleaning' was a whole lot more money than $89 mind you. Anyway, overall satisfied with the work, just a few surprises that we could have done without.

The service tec Joh I came within an hour of my boilers inspection. He help me put together a quote for a mini split system that would service my 2800 square-foot house. We were able to use a duct system to go through the ceiling of the upstairs of the home to minimize Wall mounts and help with the aesthetic look. This was not possible for the lower level of the home but we were able to find a way to minimize the ductwork on the sides of the home and still heat and cool the lower level. He went through the seer rating of the units along with the rebates and how this would help cut energy costs in the summer and winter by up to 40%. I’m looking forward to receiving the estimate in 48 hours. He also discussed interest refinance options up to three years. I’m looking forward to the opportunity of working with this vendor.

Last night I plugged in a space heater and it made all the lights and outlets on the circuit go out. I took a look at the circuit panel and saw that none of the breakers had been tripped. That's the extent of what I feel comfortable handling on my own, so I scheduled a visit for today with Hero. They sent a fellow named Kris. He was extremely pleasant and polite, and he took care of the problem. After thorough testing, he had gone to replace the potentially faulty breaker, but observed that a neutral wire wasn't completely connected properly. He took care of it and confirmed that it resolved my issues. If I have any electric work to be done in the future, I'll be getting in touch with Hero, and hopefully see Kris again!
