I work with Matt and Jessie from Burnomatjc on a weekly basis for a building I manage. They’re both great to work with. Matt is extremely kind and was willing to accommodate my organization’s schedule and needs to have weekly boiler inspections. Matt is very responsive and further displays his flexibility by helping me diagnose plumbing issues while he visits the building for boiler inspections. I would highly recommend Burnomatic Mooney and Ridler.

I am slightly frustrated having worked with this vendor to have a toilet installed. When I called to inquire about the cost estimate (having also called about four other plumbers to compare rates), I spoke with Matt who told me with the required City of Minneapolis permit included I'd be looking at a total of $200 to $240. He also noted the hourly rate was $135. After receiving my bill I see I was charged $140 per hour for a total of $440.50. While I understand estimates are not exact I don't appreciate the certainty I heard over the phone only to be charged double that amount once the bill came. I would not recommend this vendor for future plumbing work.

Burnomatic fixed an old ignition unit on our 100 year old boiler and helped us get some more life from it. When the tank eventually failed, they were really responsive after hours and came out right away to try and help us figure out what to do next. I love family owned businesses & have been happy to work with Burnomatic.

Great for boiler and radiator issues - they went above and beyond! They came right on time and fixed the radiator valve I had called about - but also used the rest of the hour to thoroughly check the boiler, where they found various inefficiencies that they corrected and explained everything nicely as they made the changes. They could have just fixed what I had asked for and left - but they showed great professionalism in making sure everything remotely related to my call was in tip-top shape before leaving.

We had service done on our 100+ year old boiler. They got to the root of the problem after being here for only a few minutes, said that they could repair it and had performed this type of repair before. The previous company just said it's old and you have to replace it. Burn-O-Matic's assessment of our boiler? Immaculate. Great shape. Just needed to replace the transformer and the other failing part. Knowledgable, thorough, friendly. With the repair and an adjustment to the water level - our radiators have never worked so well.

I used to work there. They're just about the only place around that bills by materials (with no mark up) and labor, so you know exactly what you're paying for. That's a big deal to an accountant like me who likes to know what I'm spending money on. I really like being able to see that materials were 'this much' and the time spend was 'this much'. They're a union shop, and I don't know how that hourly rate compares with Joe plumber down the street, but they bill in like 15 minute increments past the first time minimum, so you're not getting charged for three hours if the worker was only there for an hour and 15 minutes. I wish more contractors could be this transparent.

Burnomatic is the real deal. Technically knowledgeable technicians for a reasonable price. They are the only ones in town I’d recommend for old house boiler work. They don’t inflate, exaggerate and they don’t gouge.

This is the 2nd time Burnomatic has come out and did excellent work with our radiant/boiler heating system. Coming from places with forced air heat or electric heat, I didn't have any experience with a boiler system until we bought our Tangletown house in 2016. I get nervous around heating a house with explosive gas and heated water but these guys have instructed me in how to bleed the radiators, add water and other great tips. This time Evan fixed a leaky value between our expansion tank and boiler. Instead of a quick fix and exit, he checked the system pressure, bled radiators and added some water to make sure it was at the right levels. I appreciated his explanations, skill and professionalism. Burnomatic is the place to call if your boiler system needs some work. They won't propose expensive fixes - they use common sense solutions that show care for your heating system and pocketbook. I can't recommend them enough.

They are the only ones that not only didn't look scared when they saw our heating system, they could actually speak to it and communicate how it works and why it is acting the they do.
