When our furnace shut off on Christmas Eve and we called a million and one places and got a lot of recordings and very long waits, someone at One Choice Mechanical answered the phone right away, quoted us on an evening arrival, and ended up being able to show about 3 hours early. The tech had our furnace up and running in minutes. We understand it was a holiday, and that a lot of people had our exact issue, so a lot of places weren’t able to get us, but these guys were, and we’re so grateful. I called Christmas Eve morning from out of state, in a panic because my son and DIL experienced a CO2 emergency and the FD said they needed the flue cleaned before they could turn the heat back on. Mr. Parker sent a technician a few hours later and it was determined it was a heating system failure, NOT the flue. We are just one emergency (of many) today and Mr. Parker was wonderful on the phone, Josh was on-time, polite, and also pleasant under pressure (and Arctic temps!). Update 10/4/2022 - Alex did a great job on my annual inspection. Quick, professional, courteous, and clean work. Service got scheduled within 2 days of initial call. The service tech Jared was on time, courteous, and professional. Very respectful of my home and did a great job fixing my system and getting me the best deal available. He was nice and easy to talk to. Left the system fixed and if there was any mess, he cleaned it because I never saw any. Highly recommend.

I inherited my parents house last year after losing both of my parents unexpectedly. I've never had to call any type of technician or contractor because my dad could do it all. When the air conditioner stopped working I had no choice but to call someone for help. Luckily I picked OCM. Josh came out and checked everything over. He explained everything to me, gave me a couple of options, and he even helped me save hundreds of dollars with the Preferred Customer Plan. A few days later Alex came out and replaced my AC unit. Both times the guys were knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly! It really put me at ease, especially since this was the first time I've ever had someone other than my dad fix ANYTHING! Then......A couple of days after the install I discovered the my heat wasn't working anymore. I called and they came back out that afternoon. (The problem wasn't from the work they did, just remnants of some Rube Goldberg set up daddy made lol). I had a great experience with OCM and plan on being a customer for a long time.

Had these guys out several times. They are one of the only places around Louisville that I could get to work on my geothermal unit. They got the issue resolved first time out. Had them back to add a whole house humidifier same week. Friendly staff, special shout out for the great work from Josh Jarrett. Price was great, workers great. I'll keep using them in the future.

We moved into a new house and the humidifier attached to our furnace wasn't working properly - a lot of water was draining below our floors, ruining the installation we had recently attached to our HVAC ducts. We called MANY different HVAC companies but no one seemed to know how to fix the problem. One Choice Mechanical sent Chris over and wow - he knew how to fix it AND he was polite, professional and efficient. The pipe he used to drain some of the hot water from the humidifier concerned him, so he special ordered an insulated pipe for us - free of charge - and One Choice Mechanical followed up with us when it was finally shipped to them. Chris came over again - this time with another friendly associate named Devon and they installed it - as well as streamlined some other piping so that the drainage would function properly! Thanks to Chris and One Choice Mechanical - our furnace and HVAC ducts will last much longer and our humidifier will keep us comfortable all winter long! We definitely recommend this company - they are honest, professional, knowledgeable, reliable and they do high quality work!

Our heat stopped working 🥶 it was freezing we spent the night with a space heater cold. In the morning on a Sunday I called One Choice I just knew it was gonna cost an arm and a leg but I didn't care a we were freezing. They took my info and off to work I went to a warm building leaving my husband in the frigid house. First One Choice left a text of the Hvac tech. Who would be coming to the house with a photo which was nice, Stacy Nix was on time and professional and got straight to work he took the time to explain to my husband what the problem was which I think is nice the cost was fair and responsible and didn't cost an arm and leg. It is an older unit so it was a nice surprise. Will use this company again without a doubt. They are up front about pricing and didn't try to pull a con job which into days world it's nice to see a company have standards and morals and not just about how much to milk us for. One Choice Mechanical will have my business from here on out. They diagnosed the problem with my furnace, corrected it immediately, and were in and out in about two hours-including going to get parts! The expense was about what I expected also. They submitted my issue through their website the night before. They called me the next morning and were there by about noon. This may be the best experience I’ve ever had for an HVAC issue. I have heat now and I’m thrilled!

I wanted to take just a few minutes and write about my interaction with this business. I became acquainted with this company at a local home show and was impressed with the staff managing the display and the range of HVAC solutions that was offered by the company. I was also very impressed with the sales representative that was able to make it out to my home the very same week following the home show. Brent Follensbee was a wealth of information and was courteous and respectful of my time. He is a great problem solutions representative and from my experience and interaction will not sell you something that will not solve the issue a home owner maybe having. I trusted this company so much that I requested that Brent contact my father who is elderly and give him a replacement quote for his 26 year old HAVC system. He showed up at the scheduled time and provided the same excellent experience for my father as he did for me. This was a exceptional experience for me as typically I have to take part in many major expenses for my dad and could not make it to the appointment with him. Because of these two separate experiences with this business I am very pleased with the customer service. Looking forward to new equipment that will be ordered soon at my father’s home.

We bought an older home with no attic space but needed to add some sort of AC option in our upstairs. One Choice Mechanical (Lucas) came in assessed the house and its quirks and came up with a solution that we could live with. Mini splits in multiple rooms running to one unit. Other estimates had us putting in two units, one on each side of our house, with one of those mounted to the side of the house. Not ideal. One Choice came in ran all the lines, installed the units and connected them to one unit. Technicians were nice and cleaned up after themselves. When I was having some concerns over a unit not working Stacy came to the house and patiently assessed each unit, answered all of my questions and we figured out what the problem was. Thankfully it was just user error. I love that each room can control their own heating and air. I appreciate great customer service and this is a great company to work with.

Replaced capacitor and AC started to blow cool air. Less than an hour after the technician left the HVAC fan stopped spinning and blows no cold air. Now they have to come back again tomorrow to possibly replace the motor. Technician seems knowledgeable and was very nice. I’ve used them before, but it just stinks when it’s the middle of summer and they didn’t fix it on the first visit. Would have been better if it at least lasted the night! Hopefully I can update my review tomorrow.

Stacy and Kenny did an excellent job, they removed a 40 old furnace that weighed about 300 pounds, from a room about the size of a broom closet. The new AC, Furnace and blower work flawlessly, quite and maintenance wise, much easier to access. I called the office a couple of times excellent customer service (my apologies for not obtaining your names). Lucas (Sales) arrived on time, gave me a detailed estimate and followed up in a timely manner. Value-my other 2 estimates for the replacement were cheaper, but I had to factor in the Customer Service for the purchase, and that sold me on One Choice.

I hired One Choice to install a new dual fuel propane/heat pump system, to replace an aging propane furnace and AC unit. The salesman was super thorough and professional. I was really happy with him. The fit me in to their schedule super quickly. The installers were professional and did a neat and clean install. However, that night I discovered that the thermostat was malfunctioning. I called the next day and they had a repair tech out that afternoon. He confirmed that the thermostat was in fact bad, but didn't have a replacement. The very next day, a different tech came out and installed the new thermostat. That evening, I noticed that it wasn't behaving correctly. After a cursory look, I found it wasn't programmed for my system. I didn't feel like another service call, so I verified the wiring myself and programmed the Trane thermostat for my system. (It didn't have the OA sensor enabled and didn't have the right equipment selected in the Service menus). We got the big snow a few days later. While shoveling my back steps, I found pieces of the electrical disconnect for the heat pump laying under the snow on the bottom step. I took a look and sure enough, my disconnect was never reassembled, so the heat pump wouldn't get power. I reassembled the disconnect and flipped on the circuit breaker. This tells me the HP was never tested. While I was looking at the back of the HP, I found the thermostat wire's sheath is damaged and it looks like the unit may be missing a panel that covers the penetrations to the unit, but I don't know that for a fact; I still need to research the unit to see. I'll fix the thermostat wire myself, as I don't want to deal with the hassle of yet another tech coming out that may just goof up something else. So from an overview, their salesman was great. The install was neat. They respond to service calls crazy quick. However, their field staff could step up on their attention to detail and making sure the job is "done done". I know the day they did the install was cold and a long day, so I'm cutting them some slack. I don't feel they were lazy or dishonest, I think they were just cold and tired. As I need service in the future, I'll likely call them back, but I'll be verifying the work before they leave.

This company is great from start to finish. When I called them, they were really nice. I was worried that because I didn't know how old the ac thermostat was, they might not fix it but still charge the 200 fee for coming like another company did. This company charges less and guaranteed they could fix it regardless the age. The tech was quick and he knew what he was doing. He just wanted to get the job done. He checked the freeze stuff in the ac and I expected him to call off a few recommendations to get more money but he didn't do that at all. He said everything is fine. I'm saving their number and using them every time. I'd recommend them to anyone.

We finally chose to replace our 40 year old unit since it was going to cost so much to recharge, according to the tech who came to inspect the unit. The install went okay but two days later we noticed there was a leak in the ceiling directly below the new until. The condenser pump had failed and leaked through the floor and the downstairs ceiling. We called service and they came a few days later and determined the pump had been wired wrong which caused the pump to fail. Two days later we noticed the unit was not blowing cold air and once again called service. They came and said the unit was low on refrigerant, which probably didn’t get filled during the install. They filled it and left saying to call if we had any problems. Unit worked great for three days then we noticed the unit ran constantly but never cooled below 78 degrees even though the it was only 83 degrees outside. So, we call service for the third time. The tech arrived a couple days later and said there was nothing wrong and that newer units were made to run constantly and we just needed more insulation. He made an adjustment so the unit would blow more, increasing the noise and still running 24/7. It is now reading 79 and it is only 83 outside. At this point we are at a loss. A 40 year old system was able to cool the space reasonably well. Two install errors caused problems, one of which left our ceiling damaged. This is the absolute worst experience we have ever had and we still are having to install window units to keep the rooms below 79 degrees even on mild days. Basically we just threw away $6000 for nothing. UPDATE 8/18/2020****** One Choice Mechanical has reached out and sent a service manager out to review our situation. He was very understanding of the issue and made some modifications and added some refrigerant and left with the understanding to call in a few days if the situation did not improve. We appreciate the customer service. We will continue to update as the issue progresses or gets resolved.

Although the people that I dealt with were very friendly and earnest, there was a lot of miscommunication and they were slow to get back with me. They did not install the thermostat at time of original installation of AC so I had to reschedule with them a third time.
