Have used them several times in the past. Called them because I suspected a furnace scam at my daughter’s home from another HVAC company “free” inspection. John Waters inspection determined furnace was OK. They returned to get CO reading when furnace was turned on first time to insure there was no health hazard. Shame that all companies are not this trustworthy.

I actually found this company when my mom had work done in he house and she was very happy with their service, professionalism and excellent attitude of the guys that came out and did the work and she is rarely happy with technicians but she likes John Waters Inc. So when I needed some electrical work done I called them and they're the best electrical company that I have dealt with, so far. I got quotes form only him because all the others could not get to me for at least a week. John Waters Inc was there the next business day and the owner came to make sure that everything was done correctly. I was shocked when I got the bill because it was way less than I expected. I had my service panel replaced, an exterior outlet added, and a tankless water heater connected through this company. Although the work was performed satisfactory, I'm taking stars off for the following reasons: 1. Cleanliness - Every where they worked they left remnants. It's like they didn't care to clean up after their work. They even left tools in multiple locations on different days, requiring them to return to collect them. It was obvious they did not inspect their own work spaces. 2. Lack of communication/involvement with customer - I just moved into the house and there were random 2x4's on the wall from previous owners. It would have been nice for the installers to come and say, "If you remove this block, we can mount things flush or make this work for you a little better." Also, no final walk through was performed. I was teleworking and crew said they were done and just up and left. I did have an HVAC quote done by them and the gentleman was very thorough and professional, it just did not fit the bill.

Love this company. We've used in the past for our HVAC and have had great experiences every time. Tonight we had an electrical issue in the house. Called after hours on a Friday and my call was returned within a few minutes. An electrician was here promptly. He was courteous and worked quickly to diagnose the issue. I am not very experienced with hvac systems, but the technician was patient and very kind while working! He showed me how to change my filter in the future and walked me through what he was doing and why he was doing it to help me understand what was going wrong with my unit! He also fixed the unit very quickly and stuck around after he reset to make sure everything was working correctly. I can not recommend them enough! Great experience and I will definitely be reaching out to them for any other Hvac issues or maintenance!

I was notified when the tech was on his way, and it was within the window of arrival. John did a thorough job and explained things as he went and had no problem with me hanging around and asking questions. The big concern for me was the 14 year old furnace and its status. Replaced the coil and other things in 2019 but the metal pan and such was showing rust. John was able to allay my concerns. The next concern was the blowing out of "dime size dust flakes" out of my split unit. He explained how the split actually was structured and why that occurred and what was needed to fix the problem. He also explained it didn't hurt performance and even if cleaned it would come back in a few years and we would need to do it again. Or I could just keep vacuuming the particles. He called into the office to schedule a cleaning of the split unit. Made my part easy. Great experience. John was patient and considerate of my questions and concerns.

Excellent service! My air conditioner went out over Father’s Day weekend and it was 90 degrees in the House! I checked with my home warranty and the company they referred me to said they could not come out for 5 days! John Waters called me yesterday to remind me of my scheduled 6-month service appointment. the service tech showed up today on time, professional and friendly, quickly resolved my A/C and furnace issues, and answered all my questions. several years ago, both my furnace and A/C went out simultaneously; John Waters handled the full replacement and installation. I signed up for the annual service contract, well worth the cost to keep my equipment in proper working condition, extend equipment life, and reduce/eliminate future breakdown costs.

We live in an older house, and our HVAC system was getting close to 20 years old so it was getting time for a replacement. I had worked with John Waters previously for some HVAC service calls in our previous house so I figured I would see what they had to offer regarding new systems. Mike was quick to respond and laid out multiple options for me, he was very on point in making sure I was kept updated on progress in regards to install date. He answered all my questions thoroughly (and I tend to ask a lot of questions) In regards to price John Waters prices were competitive with other quotes I had gotten and they were able to work with me regarding financing (They had better financing options than other companies). Kevin was the technician that came out and did the install. He was very professional and did an excellent job as there were zero problems during the install. Kevin also ensured that the workspace was cleaned up afterwards as well. I would absolutely use John Waters again and plan to for any more HVAC related services.

The office was due to close ten minutes after our call, but the people at John Waters Inc. couldn't have been more pleasant and cooperative. I really like their bi-annual service plan. The twice a year visits make sure everything is in tune seasonally and provides a discount on replacement parts. They replaced our AC a few years ago and did not to to over-sell on the new equipment. The service techs have been friendly, timely and always clean up after the job.

Dennis came and fixed our air conditioning last week. We loved him. He was very nice, explained everything to us and when he went to go fix the problem we were already feeling cooler in about 5 minutes. He was honest, thorough and talked to us about the issue, the things that he needed to do, and the pricing and let us have a private discussion to make our decision whether to let him go ahead. Great experience! I had a long list of electrical services to be done - from bringing closet lights up to code, adding coach lights by the garage and another outdoor outlet. Because of the age and design of the house, some of the wiring took a great deal of time. John Waters sent a second technician and a supervisor to complete the work, and to look at what would be the best option. Work was done professionally, in a timely manner and at the rate quoted. The electricians took great care with my home, and cleaned up throughout the day so I hardly knew they'd been there. Highly recommend!

Very prompt. 4 hours from my initial call for service, my AC was up and running again. Efficient, fiendly, knowledgeable technician diagnosed the motor as the culprit within moments of looking at the machine. He got the cost for parts, picked up the new motor, and had in installed in a hour. I have an older system and he provided some wonderful advice on maintenance. Never pushed for a new system (like others I've had out before), completely understanding my desire to keep our old behemoth running for as long as possible (and financially feasible). My air conditioner froze up and it was a scary situation. I called John Waters who I had recently contracted with to do my semi-annual maintenance and they sent someone (Joe) quickly. Joe was very professionally and explained what had happened and the cause. He worked to fix the situation, all along, patiently informing me of the next step and how my unit was responding. Joe was able to reach a successful outcome and my 10 year old unit has more life left in it. The cost was not as high as I had expected given how long Joe worked and that he made multiple trips. I felt that he listened to what I needed in a unit, then took the time to measure and discuss my options. I felt I was getting a fair price compared to the other estimates. Since then, I have contracted with them to do the spring and fall servicing. They contact me to set up appointment, contact me on that day to let me know status of arrival time. Absolutely love these guys and gals, can't recommend them highly enough! I had a whole new system installed back towards the beginning of the year, and the AC was struggling to keep up with the recent heat wave. I called them when I came home to the house in the 80s (after hours), and a tech was at my house within half an hour, identified the issue, and had my system strung back together for the next day until they could get the parts for a permanent fix. Everything was covered under warranty, but that didn't stop them from going the extra mile to make sure everything was fixed, cleaned up, and in absolutely perfect condition before they left!

Fantastic service! A technician quickly responded to my emergency call over the weekend when my heater stopped working and the outside temperature was low! Instead of paying the emergency rate for a house visit, the technician spent time on the phone listening to the issue and provided suggestions that temporarily fixed the problem. This is the second time that I've used them for an issue with my AC and both times the staff was very professional and efficient. I will only use them in the future! They could have ran up a pretty large bill doing various checks, but instead gave me a couple options that I could choose from. Troy was very personable and professional! He explained what steps he was taking and why for everything he did.

I have a PTAC wall unit that was making a lot of noise. A technician came to my home and he was very inexperienced. Could not find the reason for the noise so he stuck cardboard sheets between the wall and the unit to try to reduce noise. Did not service the unit or clean it. Could not offer advice for replacement. This totaled 160$ for 30 min of services rendered. I ended up taking the unit out the next day by myself, to find that 2 important screws were missing from the fan casing which was rattling and causing the noise. After discussing with the company the possibility of a discount I was promised a call back but did not hear back. Addendum: As a response to this post the company did call back and offered a 50% discout for the services offered.

My AC/heat pump wouldn't turn on, so no heat or cooling at all. I called at 8am on a Monday and they scheduled me in for that afternoon! I've used John Waters twice in the past because they've been able to find/repair electrical HVAC problems that other heating companies ignored/couldn't find or properly fix repairs previously done by other contractors. This time, they found two electrical shorts and had my AC running in no time. They also took care not to overcharge me for the work! I've learned the hard way not to use anyone but John Waters!

Our recent issue was due to something I would never have thought about and the technician took the time to explain how to prevent it in the future by keeping the cold air returns unobstructed. We just moved to the La Grange, KY area. When our AC stopped working we called John Waters. They sent John A. out right away. He arrived when they said he would and took care of the problem quickly and efficiently. We also called John Waters for some electrical work and they sent Drew. He listened to what we needed and did a great job, even cleaning up afterwards. I recommend them highly for both electrical and HVAC. They also service our GENERAC whole house generator. Hired John Waters to install 4 dimmable recessed light fixtures in our top floor nursery. All in all, the can lights look good installed, but we had a few issues. First, they forgot the light switch the day they installed, so we had to schedule another day with them to come out and install the light switch. When they finally installed the switch it was backwards (flipping the switch down was on and up was off). They also had drilled a rogue hole in our nursery ceiling and didn't plan on patching/fixing it. Had to ask them to patch the hole. Lastly, when I went up into the attic I realized they had removed insulation to install the can lights and did not put the insulation back or attempt to re-insulate around the fixtures/wiring (see photos). So we're losing AC to our attic due to these insulation leaks. Just seems to be slightly amateur work with little attention to detail for an electrician company. Probably would not hire them again even though the end result looked good.

The other company was trying to tell me the compressor was bad, and it was going to cost $3300 to fix!!! Frank with JW came out took a look and said the fan was loose and I needed a new fan blade. $300 parts and labor, compared to $3300!
