During recent cold temperatures, we discovered that our heating was inadequate. I called Allgeier Air and they sent Andy out that same day. He was courteous and professional, took time to fully diagnose our system and discovered the problem. He explained it to me in easy to understand detail. A few days later their office called to inform me the parts were in and they could install the next day. Andy called to let me know he was on the way, arrived promptly, performed the necessary repair, checked to make certain all was working properly. Overall, I was very pleased with Allgeier Air and Andy's work. There were no surprises. Everything was prompt and courteous, the cost was reasonable, communication was excellent, and the repairs made a noticeable improvement. Gary

Our AC stopped working during the Labor Day holiday when we called Allgeier Air. Field Supervisor, Nick, was super available and offered the correct solution at the best price. We've all heard, " you have a friend in the diamond business." Well then, ALLGEIER AIR IS YOUR BEST FRIEND in the HVAC business. My 1st point of contact was Missy whose Sterling personality and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction compelled me to write this review. Normally I wouldn't bother writing a review in today's digital world and lack of customer concern. However, everyone at Allgeier Air goes above and beyond their job description to maintain customer satisfaction in the A+ range. The technician, Andrew was thorough, knowledgeable, diligent, and friendly! ( I'd already had a local company try to make unnecessary repairs that would have been exorbitant and worthless.) Andrew found the mistakes made by the previous technician who claimed I had a leak and overcharged my unit with freon which Andrew repaired and then determined my real issue. Andrew fixed that, all the while being gracious and friendly in this sweltering heat. I cannot thank Missy and Andrew enough for their willingness and determination to resolve my AC issues. It was 96 degrees today, cool air went out and we were roasting, called my home insurance, gave me a time next day (not good enough) searched on maps and found Allgeier Air, very sweet people, understanding, and most importantly, responsive, after 30 minutes Mr. Andrew price came in. I can't say enough good things about Andrew, in less than 5 minutes found the problem and restored cold air, Andrew did not want to stop there wanted to do a full check and cleanup on my HVAC, and with every step he is explaining what is he doing and why, Awesome work Andrew, I couldn't be happier with your services. All that and I ended up with an invoice less than the deductible of my home insurance. Allgeier Air is most definitely recommended , great people, great service, great prices. My furnace stopped working and I had 3 other companies inspect it before calling Allgeier. They quoted me $1200 or more to replace things like the smart valve, flame sensor, roll out sensor, and the control board. They told me completely different things about why it wasn’t working and they claimed the furnace wouldn’t even start up. I called Allgeier on my last leg, completely frustrated because I felt like I wasn’t getting honest answers. Jake M is an absolute LIFE SAVER! He came over and found multiple things off like the flame sensor and the wiring being out of place, which got moved around from previous people “inspecting” the issue. Jake took the time and effort to figure out the real issue. Because of Jake, Allgeier will be the FIRST company I call when I have issues!

Had an issue with the ducts originally installed in the house that needed a redesign due to moisture. Crystal made sure we had people in place to get the job done (there were other contractors to work around). Jeff and Ronnie did inspections and figured out the work around. Bob is THE duct wizard! Bob and Elijah worked in terrible heat up in the attic and got the job done. We’ve used allgeiers for years now. Only trust my hvac to them.

Very quick to come out during an emergency and was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes (turned out to be a bad t-stat). My only complaint would be I was charged $700 for a $300 thermostat. I understand markup, but seems excessive. Otherwise, very friendly and courteous.

Our AC unit died Friday evening, and we were stuck in 90 degrees inside the house, yuck. I searched online to find a company available and was not disappointed to find this company. Nick was professional and help diagnose the problem efficiently and quickly. He found the issue on Saturday evening, and was able to get the faulty equipment replaced Monday Morning. Crystal was the dispatcher who was easy and sweet to talk too. Very professional team and highly recommend. AC is back up and working! Kids and wife are no longer hot headed and cranky, yay!

Jake arrived, came to my door & introduced himself & that he was with Allgeier to do a Seasonal Check of my Furnace. He thoroughly checked my Furnace, thermostat, & filters. Our system stopped working over the 4th of July weekend. We reported the issue at 10 pm and Dru our service tech was there the next day to diagnosis the problem. Since it was a holiday weekend, we had to wait a few days for parts. Everything up and working now thanks to Dru and Chrystal. He introduced himself right away and we chatted for a minute and he said now you tell me what kind of issues you are having and I will try my best to fix it!!! well last night and the night before my heat never turned on an it was freezing cold, NOT GOOD He was very professional and fixed it right away, then he checked everything else and right before leaving he said lets check the thermostat , he said you need a new battery in this and I never knew it took batteries!!! he said if you have some AA batteries I will be happy to put them in for you. Missy scheduled the appointment, she was very pleasant and helpful in explaining what to expect. Called Allgeier on a Sunday for service to a furnace not working. It was the first chilly weather of fall and I knew they would be busy. Left message with the answering service. Received a call back promptly from Angela. She mentioned that the cold weather had them booked but she was willing to try to work us in. Given our plans for the day, opted for an early Monday appointment. Angela called early Monday morning and said a tech was on the way. Drew was the tech that showed right on time. He was very professional. I explained what was happening and he took it from there. 30-40 minutes later, he had identified the loose connection in the multi-stage circuit that was causing the problem. He performed a full inspection of the gas pressure, furnace read outs, and assured it cycled several times before both he and I were satisfied. The unit was still under warranty, so there was no charge. I received a thorough description and invoice in my email before he even left the driveway. Overall excellent customer service all around.

My geo-thermal was 12 years old and started having issues. I reached out to the company that installed it and just for the sake of comparison I reached out to Allgeier Air. Mike with Allgeier was much more detailed and informative than my previous company rep. Although the price was a bit higher, Mike did a great job of explaining the benefit of the Water Furnace Series 5. After reviewing the two options it was a no brainer. Mike was on top of the installation and literally had it installed the day after they received my new unit. It has made a drastic improvement in the climate in our home. We love the circulation option on the thermostat. Thank you Mike for being a true professional!

I was very pleased at the quickness of having service on my Central Air Conditioning unit. The receptionist who took my call was very knowledgeable and courteous. She set up an appointment on the same day I called. When the technician (Daniel) came to my home I felt positive he was going to do an excellent job of repairing my unit. Had A/C go out on a Friday evening and called to check on getting service done. I believe the lady I spoke with's name is Barbara. Even though she stayed in contact with me through the weekend, unfortunately they weren't able to get anyone to me until Monday. However, Andrew is the tech that came to diagnose the issue with my system. He was extremely professional and thorough and gave me several recommendations as well as answering any questions I had. The system was about 25 years old and I decided to replace with a new unit. I was able to get a new install scheduled and completed within 2 days.

I have had a great experience with this company over the last several months. Our HVAC was starting to fizzle out in this winter. I contacted Allgeier to get an estimate on a new unit and they came out and gave me all of the choices, with no pressure. The office contact, Missy, was super helpful and the sales rep, David, even got our system back up and running during his visit! They sent a very knowledgeable technician (Ronnie) over to do a followup to try to figure out why things weren't running consistently. We were back and running for a while but in the end, our motor was dying a slow death and rather than put money in repairs we opted to buy a new unit, which Allgeier installed yesterday. I got estimates from 3 companies and Allgeier's prices were very reasonable but I knew they would provide the best service and that won my business - they have been so responsive at every point (they even lent us space heaters to help prior to our installation!). Yesterday, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie completed the installation of our new unit and did a great job - efficient and friendly! I also spoke with two managers during the day as well and felt very "taken care of". Can't say enough good things about the staff - all knowledgable and helpful - would definitely recommend this company! Many employees have been there over 10 years - that says a lot about a business!

Just bought this condo and 2 weeks later the a/c went out. David was the first tech out and found a faulty circuit board in the a/c unit itself. They ordered the part and Andrew installed a few days later. I was stressed over the cost of the repair but was relieved when the repair came in at a very reasonable cost. So the A/C was working great until a few days later when I adjusted the thermostat upward. The unit kicked off and never came back on. I called the office early that morning and Barbara was exceptionally helpful to squeeze me into the schedule as the second call that morning for the technician. Jeff not only quickly diagnosed the problem with the thermostat but upon further inspection he found several areas in the HVAC unit itself that had faulty wiring and/or was not wired correctly. He quickly rewired those areas then went out of his way to secure a loose panel in the unit with larger bolts, something he didn't have to do. He then went on to re-attach a broken wire and re-wire more faulty wiring in the thermostat, which had been attached to the wall with velcro. Jeff again went above and beyond to secure the thermostat to the drywall. All at no charge to me!!! I would highly recommend Allgeier Air for all HVAC diagnostics and repair. They are not only professional, prompt and efficient, but friendly and VERY reasonable cost-wise, which was one of my major concerns. And they stand behind their work! Look no further than Allgeier Air for exceptional yet reasonably priced service. A great team!

This review deals with a discussion regarding a past due balance for the warranty program for my HVAC systems. The entity’s bookkeeping system did not properly bill me for the program for 16 months. Neither I nor the company realized it until their representative, Crystal, called me to discuss it. While Crystal was very pleasant to chat with, she was new to the company and did not understand its maintenance and warranty programs. It took several tries to get it right. So, while Crystal was good to deal with, I believe the company owes it to its employees to properly train them before they deal with their customers, especially on such a sensitive issue. All was worked out to my satisfaction in the end.

Our HVAC unit stopped blowing air. We phoned Allgeier Air and made an appointment for the following day between 2-5pm. At 12:15pm I received a call to ask if the technician could please arrive early. Andrew and Patrick arrived at approximately 12:50pm, wearing masks (Covid-19) and booties over their shoes to protect my carpeting. Within 10 minutes of their arrival, I was shown a blown fuse from the control board. They could have simply replaced the fuse and left, and I would have been quite satisfied with their service. They continued to investigate the cause of the blown fuse and eventually found a 1.5 inch section of wiring chewed on by some critter, probably a mouse. After replacing the section of wiring, they secured it and taped it to make it more secure from another such incident. Both Andrew and Patrick were professional and personable, not a combination often seen or appreciated enough. Thank you, Allgeier Air! You bet we will be calling you first the next time we need any type of air conditioning or heating services and you would be well advised to do so, too.

About 10 years ago I installed a Waterfurnace geothermal HVAC system in my home. I used another contractor in town and became unsatisfied with their service at the end of that experience. A few years later my brother built a new home and contracted Allgeier to design, plan and install his entire ductwork and geothermal system and he had, and still enjoys, an excellent relationship with Allgeier. It was 3 years ago my system started to leak at the coil due to a manufacturing defect. My system was out of factory warranty. I took that opportunity to engage Allgeier and they went above and beyond. They were able to not only replace the defective parts but contacted the manufacturer and get it cheaper due to the defect. Like I said, my HVAC system is a little over 10 years old now. I recently purchased the annual preventative maintenance check up. I called Missy and we easily set up an appointment and payment over the phone. Scheduled an appointment which was convenient for me and as I am writing this Ronnie and his apprentice Patrick are driving to their next appointment. Both gentlemen were very courteous and professional. In this strange time of COVID-19 they both practiced all CDC guidance and still made it a wonderful experience. I enjoyed seeing the knowledge and skill of a trade being taught to a young person by master craftsman. Allgeier does well in the hiring of good people and their reputation reflects upon that. With that being said Allgeier is second to none in the Louisville area and I will keep using them for all my heating/air conditioning needs.

Power outage knocked out our furnace, Called up Allgeier Air and was able to send out a service technician the same day. Technician Andrew called ahead to let me know his arrival time, upon getting here I described the situation and he began to troubleshoot. He was able to isolate the issue very quickly and began to run some tests to see what systems were affected, he gave me an action plan of what he saw was wrong and going to attempt to repair. Turns I had a physical board failure which had to be replaced and a new part ordered. He was able to order the part and return the next day with it to get it replaced. Patrick stopped for a minute, picked up the ball and engaged him in throwing it back with a "Here it comes." and "Oh, almost!" then right back to work. At the end of the visit, there was some confusion on the billing, I didn't know if I paid or not, and he made two calls to make sure all was settled. In no hurry, he bid us a good night and headed out as the sun was setting, taking a minute to wave. My AC decided to die during one of the many late summer heat waves we had. I called Allgeir and they came out the same day. The technician looked at it and determined that it was completely shot and needed to be replaced. He was able to get the sales guy over within an hour. I was presented several options and was even told the outside unit didn't need to actually be replaced. I was hesitant not to just replace the whole system since it had been nothing but problems since I bought this house 8 years ago. He checked a bit deeper and found a rebate that had just started and was also able to get a longer no interest deal. The fact that he took the time to find these options was great! Since he couldn't get an installer out for about a week, he left a window unit to get us through the 90 degree heat, this was an amazing act of customer service! Installers were great and answered all my questions . The new system is great!!! For the first time ever, the house is a comfortable temperature and I can get it as cold as I want in here. With just a half a month on the new system, the electric bill dropped over $100. I will recommend this company to everyone! From the person answering the phone, to the person that comes to the house, the customer service with Allgeir air is truly amazing!

I was searching for a heating/air-conditioning company to set up a contract for annual cleaning and routine maintenance for my home. I have had one in the past at a different home,and I believe it is a good idea for both the client and company. I called neighbors and friends to get recommendations. I called their companies to hear their plans and costs. Allgeier Air had just completed a service call for a close neighbor, and I decided to increase my search for a contract by contacting them. I found them pleasent to work with, their proposal for me was competitive, most of all, they accept monthly payments for the year around contract to lessen the upfront costs. Their service promises and discounts for repairs were too competitive, and they made the decision easy for me to begin a heating/air-conditioning contract.My recent service with a different company was so dissappointing, I knew I needed to find someone I could trust and would be timely and fairly priced as well. I believe I have found one with Allgeier Air. I hope I do not need their services soon, but look forward to seeing them when the time comes for the fall cleaning and preparation for the winter. Prevention is the key to avoiding as many unnecessary problems when the need arises. You have a lot of choices, I feel good about the choice I made with Allgeier.

Allgeier was the only company I spoke to who could get a service tech out to my house the same day, which was critical due to health issues and the hot weather. Clark was the service tech, very nice, courteous, and explained as he went along. Very pricey, $299, there for 45 minutes, after taking his readings etc, changed out the capacitor. $120 just to come to the house $179 for capacitor and installation (5 minutes), no price on the capacitor itself. Found similar Goodman capacitors on line ranging from $19-35. Last time I changed a capacitor $189.

I called Allgeier on the recommendation of a friend. Called on a Monday morning and was told that representatives were busy but would return my call. They actually did in less than 5 minutes. First good impression. I spoke with a lady named Jessica. She was very polite and professional. She was able to make an appointment for me later the same day. Fifteen minutes after the initial call, she called again and said she could actually have a technician at my house in less than a half hour. Second good impression. Within 30 minutes I received a call from the technician who was Ronny. I told Ronny that one of their competitors had been to my house for a routine service call. That service call from the competitor resulted in over $1500 of estimated repairs. Ronny said he would check all the issues that I had been told about and he would get back to me. After another 30 minutes, Ronny called and said he could only find one issue, not the four the competitor found. Instead of $1500, his repair bill was $213. Yes, that's right almost $1300 less than Bryant (oops, I meant to say competitor). Ronny wrote a detailed report of his findings showing all systems properly working. Third and final great impression. If these two employees are indicative of the service and honesty of the entire company, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Allgeier.

Once again, Allgeier Air to my rescue! I've been a loyal Allgeier Air customer for years & years. Anytime I call, they always work me in the same day. I've called when it was below freezing & my furnace was broken & when it was scorching in the 90's & my ac was broken (like today!). Great service, quick response, and reasonable prices for repairs. Our Lennox furnace had developed a water leak. Had “another company” come do a $189 temporary repair, as they said parts were no longer made. That company said it was past time for a replacement (18 year old furnace) and gave us quotes from $3500 to $5200. I did some internet research and found that Lennox did a conversion part for the furnace, costing about $200. The furnace had at the same time developed a huge vibration in the blower. I called Allgeier as a first time customer to get a second opinion. Ronnie came out that day. On time, courteous, and professional. He quickly found the vibration problem. A piece of plastic wrapper probably from a filter. I showed him the replacement part info and he checked with his supplier. Cost was $200 as expected, but would take two weeks to arrive. I got the piece on the internet and had it in hand in less than 24 hours and Ronnie came the next day and did the installation. I never got a sales pitch on a new furnace! I will trust Allgeier for all my future HVAC work. I have used several companies prior in the last 13 years, but found none to be as responsive, honest, and customer centered as Allgeier. Thank You!
