Terrence from Empire stopped by my place today to fix my central air. The system was blowing cool and hot air at the same time. This made my place feel like a sauna. He was very professional, friendly, and responsive. He got the job done in a timely manner. If you need your system fixed, I highly recommend that you call Empire. Almost consistent great service. Appreciate having their annual maintenance contract with 2 annual visits to make sure all is working well and to change filters, if needed. Have recommended them to others. One of two units was installed by them and they have helped prolong the useful life of the other unit.

Empire was quick to have someone come over to my house to take a look at my furnace, however the quote was way too high to consider using them. Was quoted almost $900 to replace an inducer motor when I found one online for $160 and replaced it myself in about 30 minutes

This was my first a/c maintenance for my annual service contract agreement. Empire was recommended to me by my previous vendor as they stopped servicing my area as it was too far away from their primary service area. Zeke arrived on time, was super friendly and professional and explained exactly what he was doing. The fan on my compressor was not running as the dual capacitor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The a/c is running great and I’m ready for the heat. I feel good about choosing Empire.

Travis was fantastic! We are new customers of Empire and couldn’t be more satisfied after our first appointment yesterday. The technician, Travis came with a mask and was thorough and efficient in explaining what he was doing. Empire was very responsive, professional, and easy to work with. They took care of the warranty (with the manufacturer) on the condenser that was previously installed by the builder. Because we were having a winter heat wave, we asked them about the option to rush the part here, which they provided at a reasonable cost. We are glad that we found them! They also do residential, I have had great experiences with them there, as well.

Excellent. In Ga you CANNOT get through the summer w/o AC. Had several other hvac people come in and none told me why my house wouldn't cool. Empire came in, found the problem, and got me set up with am amazing system - AC and HEATH plus new ducts since the old ones were rusted - and now it works like a gem. They were prompt, straightforward about the cost, thorough about the work and even had quality check done. There is a reason this company has been a staple in ATL for over 35 years. They get the job done and get it done right. I will keep using them to maintain my system and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs hvac help. They are the go to.

My heating system failed and would not power on! I contacted Empire and informed them of my issue. The receptionist asked if my heater was working and I told her no. She responded with a sense of urgency and made every way possible to get a technician ASAP! Technician, David Wilkinson came out and conducted a thorough inspection of the heating system. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional and resolved my issues! Empire made my birthday brighter and I’m so grateful for their help!

I've really enjoyed my experience with Empire. I had a maintenance contract with another provider when I bought my home, and every visit with them left me feeling less than satisfied. They also tried to add on unexpected costs. The Empire service professionals I've had come visit are so personable and knowledgeable, and despite my system being old and needing to be upgraded, they're not pushy when I tell them I'm going to wait until it dies to make that purchase. My heat was not working properly on the day before Thanksgiving. I used the intake form on Empire's website when I discovered there was an issue after I woke up. Someone reached out to me to schedule an appointment on the same day before their office had even officially opened. Travis was very professional and personable. He walked me through everything he was checking and made recommendations specific to my system. He was able to replace a part and get my heat working within about an hour. Empire totally resolved my issue on the same day I reached out to them. I would highly recommend Empire if you need a quick response to a heating issue.

Purchases two very expensive ductless A/C units for less maintenance however they require extensive, expensive cleaning and we were unhappy that this was never explained beforehand . Not cost effective. We've purchased three major A/C units and a boiler system in the past and this is first time we were unhappy with company.

From start to finish Empire Heating &Air did exactly what is expected of a great company, communicated effectively with a scheduled timeline, followed up with a call notifying us that they could arrive a little bit early, then when Kyle the technician arrived he was very courteous, polite, well groomed, and professional. A technician named Ken came out on time, diagnosed the problem, and explain the what was happening, he was able to fix the problem immediately. I arrived home Saturday at 1:00pm to discover our A/C was not functioning (in 90 degree heat). An Empire representative responded within 10 minutes of leaving a voice message and said a service rep would arrive by 5pm. The technician arrived at 2:30. He was very professional and efficient. I used Empire to diagnose my failed air conditioning system. We were 2 days from the hottest day of the year so far and I was able to call and schedule a visit from their technician on the second day after my call. I had tried a couple of other hvac repair companies and was getting first available days a week or more in the future. Terrance, the Empire technician arrived right on schedule and within a half hour diagnosed my issue (burned out fan motor). He gave me a price quote and said the repair could be done in 2 more days as he had to obtain the motor. I am very happy with the Empire service and all around experience. I recommend them to others looking for repair of their hvac system.

They’re almost always available same day and are punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. I had a heating emergency & they put me on a work-in for that day. The office called to let me know they were on the way and should arrive between 3:30 & 4::00. The technician arrived right at 3:30, listened to the problem & immediately went in search of a solution.. Within an hour he had located the problem & corrected it. Empire is responsive and has good quality parts and usually get it right the first time. The yearly maintenance fees are pricey if you have multiple systems for different floors etc as they charge by the unit.

Empire was the 4th company I called for my rental property. The tenant let me know the other guys walked in the garage looked at the system and left saying repair would be $1600. The empire tech came by and found where the simple leak was because a hose was misplaced. Saved me over $1400. In the times we are living in integrity is scarcely found. So many people are greedy and will make a profit at the expense of others. I am overwhelmed this morning with the honesty trait some companies still value. I highly recommend Empire and will use them again if needed.

At this point we have been using Empire for over 7 years across two different houses. We had them completely redo the HVAC in our old house which took the house from downright unlivable in July to quite lovely with zone AC. As we were selling our old house, the AC of course acts up and they were able to come out the next day and fix it BEFORE a showing. Currently in our new house we have a 16 year old system we knew needed to be replaced. We were planning on doing it in October but it just went out. They were able to move our instillation up AND get us window units until they were able to come out. They are the ABSOLUTE BEST in Atlanta.

I had a leak in one of my units. Michael was punctual and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I live in a new home and the builder did not tighten a connection that was causing the leak. While he was fixing the issue I asked him about a piece of equipment that I was not familiar with. He took the time to explain it to me and also saw that the Honeywell fresh air ventilation system was in place but the builder never hooked it up to electricity. He took care of that also. Ken Kolar is an excellent professional. If you are looking for a heating and cooling expert with a great sense of accuracy, professionalism, cultural diversity, fair billing, and customer-client relations, Ken is the go-to-person. During the ongoing pandemic, I engaged him to replace my thermostat in my house - a very old house with multiple complications. Ken displayed unique accuracy and professionalism in getting around the complications by carefully running the right cable wires for the new device. Apart from the fact that Ken is an excellent communicator, he did not waste my time. The device has been working excellently on my phone and that of my wife. His fee was fair. Ken is a great asset for Empire.

I called Empire to repair or replace a thermostat in a house where my brother and his wife live. Both have mental health issues. I was not able to be at their house while the technician was there. I was concerned that they would get very confused by the process without me being there. David arrived on time and talked to me through Google Duo. He replaced the thermostat. After he was finished, I talked to him again. He explained to my brother how to operate the thermostat while I listened in. I was able to help my brother feel less anxious about the service call. David was professional, patient and represented your company at the highest level. I will strongly recommend Empire because of David’s excellent work.

Empire scheduled me quickly when I had an issue with my HVAC, and being on the maintenance plan saved me money when it needed a significant repair. But even more impressive is how helpful their office staff is (Samantha not only confirmed our part was under warranty but also worked to fit me in so we didn't have to go days without AC) and how competent and knowledgeable their repair people are (Keith explained everything to me and did everything he could to make our repair as economical as possible). Mike (Tech) showed up on time and got to work inspecting our furnaces. He explained a lot about how our systems functioned and answered all my questions. He explained the charges for the work I had scheduled and compared them to an annual service plan without trying too hard to sell the latter. He gave me options on the small bit of repair work we need, again without pushing too hard. Mike was easy to speak with and worked to make sure I was satisfied before he left. He seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. Although this was just a routine inspection type visit (our first in a few years), it went well and I will not hesitate to use Empire again.

Had a new furnace and AC unit put in 9/18 and wanted to wait until I received my first electric bill before writing a review. I received the bill today and it's half what it has been for months! I would have been happy with 1/4 but half.... Thanks Empire, I love the unit, your installers were great and my power bills are perfect. Bravo Had to update my review, after several issues with the AC unit that were all manufacturer related Empire replaced my entire unit! While American Standard has a "3 things must go wrong" policy Empire has a "we will make our customers happy no matter what policy" and they have succeeded. Empire operates their company like they are doing business with their friends. From management to every single tech the "take care of the customer" attitude of this company cannot be beat. I recommend this company above all others in the Atlanta area. If you don't do business with Empire then you have made a mistake.

For my latest maintenance visit, Joseph arrived on time though I was running late and had just mopped the floor. He voluntarily put on booties and proceeded to do the maintenance on the unit. When I asked how dirty was the old filter he went back out to the van and brought it to me so I could see it. I needed to know how dirty it was and whether I needed to increase the frequency on changes. Seeing the filter was a big help. He diagnosed the problem; debris, possibly from humidity, age and recent activity around the vents on the roof (we had just had our roof replaced) had caused the pressure sensor to turn the heat off. I appreciated the way he explained what he was doing. I really felt that I learned about our heating system from him. I found that our furnace does not have a pilot light. Surprise to me! Charles saved us two times, already!! He's the best HVAC technician,!! In June, our main unit wasn't cooling and quickly he found a small part that a beetle got under and shorted the A/C- he quickly replaced the part and we've been good since. Lately, our realtor, requested her company to look at our furnace on the upstairs unit, which wasn't due for any maintenance yet (we didn't have Charles last season) and found a small crack, they wanted to replace the entire furnace! We asked for Charles to assess the unit and he found that the crack was only in a small part and quickly replaced the piece, and it's now great as well. I turned on the Auto function on my thermostat and flipped it over to Cool. My auto temperature was set to 82, so of course nothing happened. I go down stairs and the pump is running but nothing else. This morning, I called Empire at 8:01am requesting service. I knew is was going to be a long shot, but they worked me in and fixed the pump in less than 30 minutes. (I am a regular customer - but this kind of service is why I am.) I worried about finding another HVAC company, especially now that I'm renting out that house and currently am not in the area. While many companies have problems with me not being present and only dealing via email, Empire excels at it. I don't have to worry about having to be on the site to oversee them on the job - I have full confidence they will do a good job without me there. Recently, I asked them to install a Honeywell UV Light Air Purifier in the duct system, to further protect my tenant against air-borne viruses and generally to purify the air. Amanda and Jorge answered all my questions and sent me plenty of literature to read on the process. The tenant told me that the installer, Mike, did "an excellent job". The ladies in the office were so nice when I inquired about payments and were very helpful and flexible. I decided to pay via credit card so that they would be paid immediately. He replaced the air filter, unblocked the exhaust (which fixed the heat!), and suggested another company to see if the exhaust line needed better anti-critter caps. Mike came to do the annual heater check-up on our prepaid plan. It was only a year old so all it needed was a new filter and he confirmed that I had ordered the right one at a good price. We asked whether we should get a dehumidifier for the basement (a recent flood exposed some rotten looking wood), so he checked the humidity level for us and made a few recommendations. Then he noticed a couple gaskets on top of the water heater were partly melted and he tested the expansion tank and found it had no air in it, so he recommended we call a plumber. He also tested for particulates and carbon monoxide in the air and gave some helpful advice. I felt he went above and beyond the call of duty.

As we walked over to the outside unit, he was able to diagnose the problem by the sound before we even got to it. He told me that the pump wasn't on, so it could just be the capacitor. Sure enough, that's all it was. He had it fixed in less than 5 minutes. He also went ahead and double checked the refrigerant (Freon) which was fine. Then we went inside and he checked the filter on the unit and suggested I replace the filters. Sure enough they were filthy and needed replacing as well. The technician was Lewis and he did an excellent job. He was courteous and professional the entire time and obviously knew what he was doing. I definitely recommend them.
