I moved to the area and signed up for a maintenance plan as a silver member. The membership is reasonably priced compared to competitors for the services provided and the perks of membership were a nice plus. At the time I had no idea I'd be using the perks so soon. After our very first service, we found out that the 22yr old AC unit we inherited was leaking and they recommended replacing it. Again, we shopped around on pricing just in case and SM Mechanical come out as being a good value. Not the cheapest quote, but they provided better equipment and better labor which justified the difference. Everything went very smoothly and I have no complaints so far with any aspect of their service. The only thing I have against them is I had to remind the salesman twice to apply my member discount on installing the new unit. If you work with them, I recommend double checking the bills to make sure member discounts are applied.

Excellent installation of high efficiency boiler. I am posting before and after photos. From start to finish, I have to say SM Mechanical exceeded my expectations. Alex was very responsive to providing a quote and answering all my myriad questions before the sale. The installation technicians, Angel and Angel, were fantastic. Their attention to detail was impressive. And they were so patient with me, answering all my questions in a friendly way. They represent SM Mechanical very well - their competency is impressive. SM Mechanical Services are very good communicators. They also showed up on time. They changed the old radiator for a new shorter one. They bled all the lines at the end and the heating system is much more efficient now. The heat is even throughout the house. I was very pleased with the men that came. My 93 year old Grandmother didn’t have heat (gas) all day (thank god for electric heaters). Waited on hold for 40 minutes with the gas company and called literally called 10 places before I found this company. HIGHLY recommend them!! Honest, respectful, personable, care and take pride in their work! Beyond reasonable $ for the diagnosis/parts/labor especially considering the time it was!!! I can't say enough good things about SM Mechanical Services! When you're dealing with heating problems and temperatures are in the single digits, it's very scary. Sal came to the house and would not leave till he figured out what the problem was and fixed it! I had other companies come and temporarily fix the oil burner and then have problems a few weeks later. Sal and Angel got to the root of the problem, explaining everything they were doing along the way and fixed it. They were professional, courteous, informative, prompt and diligent! Update 6/3/2022: Had SM Mechanical come out today for service and they always do an amazing job! I really appreciated the master technician today since he was kind enough to explain everything he was doing to service the unit. SM Mechanical installed an inline, on demand, propane fired hot water system for me. Communication along the way was excellent. Job involved installing a propane gas line from outside the house through the drop ceiling of my finished basement and then putting the water heater in the basement in a fairly crowded location. Angel and the team were efficient, hard working and kept me informed all through the process. They put down drop clothes in finished areas, performed a neat installation and cleaned up well afterward. In dealing with SM, I spoke with Alex and Sal during the quoting process. I found them to be helpful, well-informed and reassuring. Some other contractors were less informed about the type of installation I wanted. The cost was very competitive and fair. The workers were competent. I plan to shift my maintenance contract to SM for furnace, HVAC and hot water systems.

Just excellent. When they are done with the job, I know it is done right. They are not the cheapest, but you can depend on SM to do top notch work and to stand by it. Dependable and quality. The best. And the customer service’s great. All professional. We shopped around a bit before settling on a plumber after we bought a really old home and had some problems. SM definitely made the cut way above any competitor. We won’t use another plumber except SM while we live here. Installed split unit ACs, took care of our tankless water heater and we were eligible for a lot of things from the state for investing in energy efficient appliances. Helped remedy some shoddy plumbing from the previous owners. Pretty happy with the work and the service over the last 5 years. I really couldn’t say enough good things about SM. You will be happy, and your problem will be fixed, or your home upgrade will be excellent.

My air-conditioning went out just prior to a big heat wave (that we are currently enduring), as no doubt many people have experienced. I called around to a few of the larger local HVAC companies and was given a one to two week wait until someone could come out. So after reading some reviews of SM Mechanical Services, I thought I would give them a try. Sal answered and told me he could probably make it out by the next day (tomorrow) and I said that would be great! A few hours later he called and said he could actually be at my house within an hour or so! Incredible! Anyway, Sal and Connor came out and repaired my system for an extremely reasonable rate! Very professional and fair. I will absolutely strongly recommend and utilize their services again. Thank you Sal!

Excellent service from start to finish. Alex came out to the house and provided a quote for a 4 ton 5 zone ductless system. Their price was the best quote out of the 4 companies we had come to the house. The install team was timely, efficient, and respectful the whole time. They even made it a point to let my wife know that they were fully vaccinated, which we appreciate given they were in and out of the house and we have a 3 year old at home (they also wore masks in the house which was respectful). Everything is up and running and working great! I will never have to lug window air conditioners up and down the stairs again! I would highly recommend SM Mechanical to anyone looking for HVAC work.

When had issue with HVAc - called SM mechanical - once I reported the issue they quickly scheduled a visit in a day, came on time and fixed the issue. At first, I reviewed the service from SM Mechanical at 3 stars due to some miscommunication about the initial service contract. Within a couple hours of my review, the owner Sal had reached out to me to figure out what went amiss. Offered to do whatever it took to retain my business. Can’t thank him enough for that. Truly appreciated. The Serviceman Connor did a nice job on the maintenance of my furnace and Alex in the office was kind and helpful with my questions. That kind of personal attention seems more rare nowadays. I will definitely be staying with SM Mechanical for future service and I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

He was the only one who was willing to come to my home on a Sunday morning when I no heat for a couple of days this weekend. I did not even have a service contract (although I sure do now) I have recommended him to several friends and family members. I am very happy with the service SM Mechanical Services provided. They removed my fuel-oil fired boiler and reserve water tank, and installed a new high-efficiency combi natural gas boiler. It was not an easy job as I live in a small house without a hatchway to the basement, so the oil boiler and reserve water tank had to be removed through the central staircase and out of the house. The two service men (both named Angel) worked VERY hard during those hot days and never seemed to take a break. The old system was out and the new system installed in just two days, without interruption to my water supply. Sal came out after the job was completed to inspect the job and talked me through the system and how to maintain it. I would happily recommend SM Mechanical Services.

I contacted Sal to have baseboard heating install in my 4 seasons room. He was very professional and gave me a fair price. I had many questions and he always answered the phone and called be back quickly when I left a voicemail. On the day of install his guys treated my home with respect and put down tarp on my basement carpet to ensure they aren’t walking on it with their shoes. I’ve had contractors in and out this month and they were the first ones to do this and it was such a nice touch and shows how much they care about their customers. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone and will be using them in the future for anyone other HVAC concerns.

SM installed our HVAC system and when we had questions, Sal patiently and thoroughly explained things to my partner and me on separate occasions. We asked him to do some plumbing work and install new appliances - oven, washer, and gas dryer. Compared to another quote, he was less expensive and offered more efficient solutions. When I was having a problem with the washer, Sal was very responsive via text and encouraged me to seek a less drastic solution than I asked him for. It saved money and time! I called the appliance company, figured out the problem, and Sal came over in the next few days to help correct the issue.

Our furnace stopped working during the night and SM Mechanical was able to get us on their schedule for early the next morning. Jesus was our technician and was able to diagnose the issue quickly and replace the part to get us up and running within a couple hours. SM Mechanical will be my first call the next time I need any work done.

The young man who came to do maintenance on my AC was courteous, professional and answered questions I had. I needed a part replaced and he showed it to me then explained the reason needed replacing. He cleaned not only the system connected to furnace area but washed the outside unit. The company I had before never did such a thorough job. Installers of the heat pump were great 5 star, where it goes wrong was from the sales guy who told me they're going to keep my ecobee thermostat stat, turns out it wouldn't work, also for a project as big and expensive as this you'd think you can get a briefing on heat pump system as it is relatively new in this part of the world, didn't get none of them and how it ties in with secondary heat source absolutely zero information on how this would work. I was told to call the vendor who intend told me to call the installer. So 2 star on communication
