My first interaction was with the soft spoken & polite ladies at Balls Heating and Air Conditioning. The Serviceman were very thorough & polite. They clean up behind themselves inside and outside. They return to answer any questions I had concerning my new unit. Balls Heating and Air Conditioning is the company to call for Heating installation. Thank you for your service. PLEASE NOTE: Individual Thanks to Israel L. Nolan, DJ, Jim Green, there was another technician but I never knew his name. Thanks for treating my 2 bedroom 1 bath Cottage Home, built in 1945, like you would the White House. Bbless Sincerely, Janet UPDATE as of 02'18-2023 Came out again, temperature was staying at 78 even though it was set for temperature higher. Technician will helpful & kind.

Very knowledgeable and efficient. Extremely satisfied. I spent an absurd amount of money with another AC company and dealt with technicians from that company that outwardly advised me they were not knowledgeable about what they were doing. As much as I appreciate honesty I do not appreciate getting charged for something when the service is not to standard (which I was). With Ball, however, they provided the confidence and knowledge I needed to feel my situation was in good hands. Mike was amazing and professional. Plus their prices and packages are very affordable and realistic. Thank you for everything!

Justin and another technician (who’s name I cannot remember) were very professional, and polite. I work from home, and was very comfortable with them in my home while I was working and they installed our new unit. They even respected my request to not leave doors open so my cats would not get out and to secure my gate correctly so my dogs would not escape. They cleaned up everything when they were done and explained what they did and how to use the new thermostat. This is the second unit we had installed by Ball, the first in 2006, and we have never been disappointed by the workman’s ship of this companies employees or the level of professionalism with the office staff. Would definitely recommend them for your ac/HVAC needs!

This was my first time using Ball; I was very impressed with their clear and prompt communication, timeliness, work performed, and explanation of coverage. My technician, Zach B. was thorough, explained everything he was doing, and patiently answered all of my questions. Just want to up date , John Yarbrough called me and returned the labor fees. I appreciate that so much and was great the way he stands behind his business. Also confirmed unit warranty is transferred over. Unit went down again and Zak Cooper came out and replaced a contact switch at no charge. I would have been glad to pay the labor fee but he said no, since we had issues before, there is no charge. I greatly appreciate this and will be glad to recommend this company to everyone. My one year old AC unit stopped working randomly on Labor Day. When I called into the company that had installed it, I discovered that they had merged with Ball Heating and Air. The Ball Heating and Air office representatives were quick to relieve my fear that I would be left in the heat, and they arranged to send a technician out. They also offered me a protection package that includes two free cleanings, and 20% off of any repairs for only $14.95/ month. (You can be sure I jumped on that!). The technician, Zack, had arrived within 2 hours. He did a thorough inspection, made some recommendations to improve efficiency and the life of the unit, and discovered the issue within a short time. I am so very glad they were there to answer the call, even after hours on a holiday, and I am happy that the AC is up and running again. Thanks Ball Hearing & Air, and thank you Zack!

I became a member at the beginning of the month and it’s worth it. Since I was a member, I called around lunch time for my A/C flipping the breaker and not working properly. They said I would have someone come out between 4-7, but the technician was on his way around 2:30! The technician was able to find the issue and handle it quickly. I've lived in my house less than 1 year now and wanted to do preventative maintenance. I sent a request via their website around 11pm and was contacted 8am the following day and had a tech out by 2pm the same day. The tech, Evan Cruthirds was knowledgeable and a professional. The manor he carried himself, his work ethic and the way he explained what he was doing and why was phenomenal. I was absolutely shocked when I found out he was 19 years old. I felt very comfortable having him in my home. I will remain a Ball customer as long as I am in Mississippi as long as they have employees like Evan.

I have been a Ball customer since about 1994 and in all that time, up to and including the present day, I am pleased to say I have received excellent service. From the office staff to the field personnel, I see professional, friendly people who appear to be all about taking care of their customers. Just today our HVAC system was cleaned and serviced by Zachary Burkett, and although this was the first time we met, I immediately found him to be friendly and got a good sense of his personality and professionalism from just a few minutes of conversation. He serviced our system very efficiently and even recommended a leaf filter for our outside unit, something I had not heard of before but I immediately saw the value in having one installed, which Zachary took care of for us. All in all this was just another example of how well Ball has taken care of us through the decades. I feel good about Ball, I recommend them and plan to continue with them.

My A/C was not cooling my home and it was 82 degrees inside. I called Ball Heating & Air and was given assurance that a repairman would be at my home within 2 hours. Billy Thomas, the repairman, called 15 minutes after I called the office and he was at my home within 30 minutes. He was very professional, knowledgeable and repaired my A/C unit within 30 minutes. Billy’s troubleshooting revealed the contactor needed to be replaced. He performed additional test to be sure everything was working properly and his extra efforts were greatly appreciated. I rarely ever submit reviews for service vendors, but in this case I made an exception because of the professional, transparent and trustworthy service I received from Zack Cooper (a 7-year employee), Ball's representative who performed my maintenance service. My evaluation rates Zack's service and performance on 3 criteria: 1) process; 2) quality and 3) customer satisfaction/loyalty. PROCESS: The process was streamlined and unrushed in execution from the beginning. Zack was patient and knowledgeable in explaining his technical analysis (via software & iPad) of identifying not only what service/parts were needed but also why they were needed. His assessment and recommendation of my service/parts requirements were objective, reliable and driven by the specific needs of my home A/C-Heat unit. QUALITY: The quality of Zack's service, without reservation, was first-class, thorough and efficient. His technical knowledge in addressing my requirements were impeccable and engendered a confidence in making the right decisions as a first-time Ball customer. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION/LOYALTY: My rating for Zack's entire process, quality and completion of my service maintenance call is 5 Stars. While my original intention was to become a one-time Ball customer, I switched by joining Ball's Shield of Protection Plan to become a long-term continuing customer! I called on a Monday, they came to visit right away and after a site survey and inspection of what I have, and discussed the options and cost, I was was happy with the estimate and moved forward with a new unit which I got installed Tuesday. They were quick, efficient, had parts on hand, relocated my unit to the back side of the house and had me up in running the next day. I am very happy with the service and am enjoying the hell out of the cool air in the house! I highly recommend them. They came out and added freon and checked my thermostat (I had the switch on gas instead of electric). I worked better but not how it should. I called back and they sent a new tech out the same day and repaired the faulty part for free. They were very quick to respond and resolve every issue I had. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Our two year old heat pump suddenly stopped working soon after our return from Church on Sunday. The outside temperature was projected to reach 95 degrees and we had no idea how we would proceed. On Monday morning, we interviewed several repair facilities. After weighing in on the services provided, we chose Ball Heating and Air to repair our unit. The company dispatched technician Cody Walker to inspect our unit. He exceeded our expectations in every way. Cody arrived promptly and he was very knowledgeable in terms of identifying our problem. Quick, fast and in a hurry, our AC problems have been resolved. We also signed up for the maintenance agreement and we are looking forward to their visits at least twice per year. We highly recommend Ball to all our friends and neighbors.

Update: I bought a second home that needed a new unit and Ball sent out a wonderful tech who was attentive to my every need and questions. I would recommend it to anyone especially if they have an older HVAC installation. I want to give a call-out to Ball Mechanic, Zack Cooper who has performed most of my checkups as well as a very prompt response (2 hrs) to a condensate leak. Ball installed a new unit (heat & cool) that worked well for one year. Then they sent a tech to clean unit. He tore the unit completely apart and spent about 6 hours trying to get it back together. He tried to check the freon on the compressor and let so much of the freon escape that Ball had to send another tech to recharge the unit. Since that time, the A/C has leaked water inside the house, even though we have call and several techs have tried to fix the problem that still exists and creates mold and mildew which is not good for old people like us (89) or our daughter which has an immune problem. UPDATE: Okay so I just got a call today from this company more than two and a half weeks since I called them and needed a new compressor and they called today to tell me that the part would be in later this week but I already had my unit fixed with the other company two weeks ago. So if I had waited on ball to fix my AC, I would have been without an AC all of the last 2 weeks in the 100° weather. I just can't even reconcile the service, or lack thereof, of this company. Who can go 3 weeks in 100° weather without an AC unit? Definitely will not be calling them back! I had Ball come out for a quote, as well as 2 other companies. Although Ball came in a little lower than the company I went with, I felt like the technician was more concerned with selling me a new unit than he was fixing my problem for the best price. All he did was explain the different plans, but not what was wrong and it didn't seem he was concerned with how much it costs to put a whole new unit in. This may be one of the more popular companies, but my meeting felt more like it was all about money rather than getting my a/c working again. Hire this company at your own risk.

The service technician performed the semi-annual cleaning service in a timely and professional manner. He also was very helpful in answering my questions about the system. However, there was apparently a lack of communication between the office and the technicians. The service was scheduled for a time between 12 noon and 3 pm., and after receiving two email reminders a day prior to the date of service , (both emails were incomplete and confusing) I called the office and verified the scheduled time of service. Based on that verbal verification, I left my home , on the date of service , for a scheduled activity and returned at 11am to find a note on my front door from a service technician. It stated he had arrived at approximately 10:30 am and no one was home . I called the office and asked if someone could come at the arranged time, and she said she would send the next available technician. He did arrive shortly and completed the work as I described in the first paragraph. I realize this is not a major issue in the scheme of things, but the point of scheduling service should be to benefit the company as well as the customer. The company had a technician’s time wasted, and that costs the company, all of which could have been avoided by correct communication.

Condensing my experience with this company so far, I would have to say that I am incredibly dissatisfied, and a bit surprised at the level of ineptitude and poor customer service it offers. I hate to have to be writing this, as I had heard good things about Ball Heating and Air's service. However, after spending over $12,000 on having a new unit installed on Friday, I have had nothing but trouble. The man who came out to take the quote, and the installation crew themselves were very professional and nice. The man who came to take the quote and provide our contract ensured us that if there were any problems that there was a 24 hour repair service we could use. This obviously does not seem to be the case, as I am now sitting without A/C for the second time since the units installation. Friday, my unit blew cold air for all of two hours before shutting off. When the individual from the repair service showed up, he began to complain and tell my husband he wanted to go home because it was late. The time was 8:45 p.m. After he argued with my husband outside for a few minutes, I decided to speak with him. He began to argue with me, and tell me that he was tired and just wanted to go home, and come back the next morning. Leaving me without air conditioning in an 87 degree house all night. I told him that if he left, I would have to make a complaint. Finally he relented and decided to take a look at it. He was able to repair it, and we thought that was the end of it. Until today, at noon when the outdoor unit stopped working again. I called the office number, and spoke to a secretary who was both professional and sympathetic. However, she also said that no one would be able available to come out until tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Leaving me again, in a house with no A/C during the peak of the summertime with 97 degree heat, and a heat index of 105. This is beyond unacceptable given their promises and guarantees outlined in our contract prior to installation, as well as the price we paid for it. To say I am dissatisfied and displeased with my experience so far would be a gross understatement. I am hoping to find an expedient, reasonable ressolution to this problem. However, I will not be satisfied until I have spoken to the manager in charge or someone of other equable power at the company. Particularly when dealing with large home appliances at these prices, a manager or other person of authority should be on call at all times for situations such as these. I have been told to call tomorrow morning and speak with John, the manager, which I plan to do. But having to wait this amount of time, in this heat, after the myriad issues I have experienced will inevitably put me in a less than pleasant mood. Hopefully I will find that my concerns and poor customer service experience will be handled in the timely, courteous and reasonable manner expected of a purchase this size. However, until such time, I will be exploring all the options and contacting all parties necessary to rectify the problem. I will also be relating thing experience to everyone I know, as well as anyone I hear considering using Ball Heating and Air for their needs. Depending on when and how this problem is resolved, I will consider amending my review. Until that time, I cannot recommend this company to anyone I know. *UPDATE* I was able to speak to the manager, John, today. He was very prompt and apologetic in his response. He said that my experience was not acceptable and he would insure that it will not happen again. He also extended my year long service free warranty to two years, as well as is sending me the guaranteed compensation outlined in the contract I signed with them. He is also sending out a service man this week to check over the system again and make sure we will not run into any more trouble soon. I now feel much more comfortable recommending this company to anyone I know. They have shown that if someone runs into issues such as these, they are willing to address and correct them promptly.

22May2020, I did some research after my last visit and I began receiving receiving promotional offers in the mail. I thought it strange they seemed bent on selling me a new system when mine hasn't went out. Things felt different. Turns out that Balls owners sold the company and while the customer service and maintenance plans seem mostly unchanged its obvious the company is different. The prices for the new systems they are selling are ridiculously high under the new owners. I thought for sure after being with Ball for years that when my system needed replacing it would be by them but I may have to price around now. I hate that the Ball sold out and they clearly seem focused on selling new overpriced systems. I have used Ball AC and Heating in the past and their professionalism and thoroughness in whatever they are doing is unmatched. Amanda worked to schedule the appointment to suit my needs with work and was extremely professional. All there technicians are extremely knowledgeable, on time, and don't take any shortcuts. This cleaning of my AC and Heat pump with the technician Jared was no exception. I'll be using them for all my AC and Heat needs in the future and have taken their Maintenance contract.

If you are having a new system installed, ask them to send Justin and EJ -- they won't disappoint. When they left, you'd never know they were even here, other than seeing a new system.
