Philip and Brandon were both very professional, courteous, friendly and and respectful of our home and us. Removed shoes or wore shoe covers, offered to wear a mask, explained how the unit worked, and cleaned up after themselves. Very satisfied. I also liked the text before service showing the technician's name and picture. Very nice to see who we are allowing into our home. Nice safety feature.

We had a whole home humidifier installed on our furnace. Service technicians arrived right on time and were efficient, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain how it works, maintenance, and answered all our questions. Techs also did a great job with cleanup. My AC stopped working on a 97 degree day (the outside feels like temp was around 101degrees). I have their annual service plan and once I called the office for a repair call, their technician, Brandon called me back within 4 minutes and was here within half an hour! A part had broken and he had it fixed in no time! I have also used them for annual maintenance of my entire HVAC system and also for my gas fireplace service. I can say they are very good and I have always been happy with the services. Thank you!

AJ was out for routine inspection/service. He was very efficient and found our 16 year old system to be working just fine. He did not try to sell us on a new system which we don't need at this time. A report on our furnace followed the next day which was nice. They will be back in the spring for an A/C check! I recommend this company.

AJ found the problem with our direct vent gas fireplace quickly. He took great care in protecting the hardwood floors in his working area and path to it. We have had many over the years. We give them 5 stars because they are professional, fix it right the first time, we have never had a complaint from tenant, and the office staff is fantastic. Update: the company did reach out after this review to apologize and refund a portion of the money I paid them in an effort to make it right. I did appreciate that. I contacted them on 12/24 when my heat went out. They did come out fairly quickly and said everything tested fine, wiggled some stuff, blew in some hoses and the heat came back on, but he thought the gas valve was bad even though it tested fine. I decided to gamble and see if it would keep working until the 27th when it would be regular price since it was currently working. I paid him $225 to wiggle some stuff. When i later got the diagnosis email he said the pressure switch tested bad, but he still thought it was the gas valve. He NEVER mentioned the pressure switch to me. Then on the 26th it went out again and wouldn't come back on again. On the 27th the same guy tested everything, said it tested fine, but he really thought it was the gas valve. I asked about the diagnosis from previous and what he said about pressure switch and he assured me the pressure switch was working well. So I told him to go ahead with the gas valve. I pay him another $744. The furnace works, and keeps working for exactly a week. Then I come home and it's out and doing EXACTLY the same thing it was doing at the very beginning. I call and ask for a new guy. New guy comes quickly and is pretty nice. However the furnace then decided to kick on. He still Tests a lot of stuff and said it's hard to tell since its working, but says he thinks it the pressure switch...WTH?! After some debate i decided to put on the new switch, but make it very clear I believe I was scammed into paying $630 for a gas valve I found at supply house for $92.13 that I never needed in the 1st place since it's doing the same exact thing it was doing before the 1st guy put on the extremely marked up gas valve. The 2nd guy was very nice, he said he understood, but couldn't do anything about it except not charge me the new $65 trip charge. I pay him another $309. I get it, its out of his hands, but I feel like the company needs to make it right. I paid extremely inflated prices for a part I never needed. I don't feel like I can trust them and will never use them again. I guess there is a reason they were the only ones not too busy to come out on Christmas eve. It's very sad to me that they would have a 500% mark up on parts. They obviously only care about the almighty dollar and not the customers. They will not get my business again.

This time the office scheduled me for service from 8-noon &when I hadn’t heard from the tech at 11:45, I called the office & was told they had me down from 1-5 that same day. But the tech was very good as always. At one point the office person said she would call me back, but she didn’t so had to call her again. To say the least I was not completely satisfied this time but will continue to use them with the hope that my next experience will be much improved in the area mentioned. Thank you.

AJ was a very nice man. Called ahead and was here quickly. Explained everything was running fine but if the coolant runs out the price would be exorbitant. Options either pay for the coolant which has been stopped by the EPA or a new air conditioner.

I contacted Kohles & Bach to repair my 20 yr. old Heatilator gas fireplace after a referral from a neighbor, and I was very pleased with everything about my experience. The technician (Garrette) arrived as scheduled and was great at listening to my explanation of the problem. In addition to replacing the faulty component, he also thoroughly cleaned the glass and replaced the decorative rock at the base of the fireplace, and more importantly sealed up the opening around the gas line to provide insulation from the cold outside air. This far exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely use them again for any future repairs.

I can’t say enough good about Kohles and Bach. They were amazing and completely honest. We went on vacation and came back to a broken air conditioner. My husband called the first name he saw when he looked up AC service providers and that was Service Legends. A rep came to our house and charged us to look at the unit and then said we would have to spend $800 more to even see what was wrong. The $100 charge I was fine with but the rep should have found the problem. I wasn’t comfortable and it didn’t seem right so I called Kohles and Bach. They had a rep there within the hour. Eric Steinick was the rep and you couldn’t ask for a more honest and efficient employee. He asked what was going on and then asked if he could look at the AC. I said sure but was thinking it just needed to be replaced. About 10 minutes later Eric called me out and said it was fixed and the part was going to be about $250. The part was a capacitor and the one he had on hand was not powerful enough so he said he would come back with the right sized capacitor. He did and our problem was solved. Eric’s main priority was not to sell us a new unit but it was to solve our problem more cost effectively. We felt Service Legends only wanted to sell us a new unit and make as much money in other ways possible but not in a way that made us feel comfortable. My husband called Service Legends to get our $100 back and as of this week it was refunded because on their website it states fix it right or it is free. Since we felt their goal was to sell us a new unit and not fix it they did give our money back. The rep from Service Legends that my husband spoke to said that Kohles and Bach look like the heroes in this situation. I guess he was right they were our heroes back in August. Thanks Kohles and Bach and Eric for your honesty and service. When it is time for a new unit we will definitely have Kohles and Bach as our service providers. Thanks again for truly putting customer needs first. It will always pay to be honest in the end. Please do your own research when using service providers but know that we have total trust in Kohles and Bach.

As the temperature started rising this year, we discovered our AC had stopped working on a Thursday morning before work. By 9am I had spoken with the team and Kohles & Bach and their technician arrived at our home before noon the same day. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair our (old) AC unit, but Kohles & Bach was able to locate a new unit and schedule us for install the following Wednesday. The technicians who came to install the unit arrived exactly when they were scheduled to, were knowledgeable and very friendly. Both technicians were incredibly nice and very competent. They immediately put on the shoe booties which I appreciated, layed down a heavy cloth and started to work on the fireplace immediately. They cleaned it and fixed my issue (a spider was stuck in the orifice - yuck! - blocking the gas line.) They cleaned all parts, reattached everything and tested for leaks. All this in 30 minutes! We had our furnace shut down during the extreme cold front , kohles and bach sent a technician in 15 minutes when the other companies I called could provide a technician the next day. The technician who came was sherril james who was extremely good. The issue was that the water trap was full and the furnace shut down. But Mr.James spent time to find out the root cause and identified that the water line was close to the intake air tube which caused ice formation in the water line. So in addition to just removing the water and getting the furnace up and running, he fixed the root cause by moving the water line away from the intake air tube as well so this will not happen again in future . We were extremely happy with his service.

I am so impressed with Kohles & Bach! A little backstory.. I had a leak in my furnace back in December. I contacted Schall Ya’ll who determined the problem was the collector box & seal, which I replaced for $700. I did not get a second opinion. Fast forward to June, we have a river coming from the furnace. I call Schall again who found the problem to be the coil panel had melted away which left a hole. They could fix this for $1700 or also change out the coil for $2k. My concern was figuring out the underlying issue to prevent this from happening again. He said my filter was completely clogged, which was true, and also asked if I had regular maintenance- guilty again. He also said the furnace is too big for the property but didn’t offer a solution. I paid the $79 diagnostic fee and sent him in his way. Because of the cost, I decided I would just buy a new furnace versus pouring money into this one. I had scheduled 5 quotes with various company’s around the metro. Eric Steinick is the service manager who came to do my quote with Kohles & Bach. I explained the backstory and why I wanted a new furnace. He insisted on taking a look at it for himself. He found the same issue and told me a new furnace would not fix my problem. Right there, he earned my trust. He showed me the melted coil pan and explained the underlying root cause and how to remediate it. He got someone on the phone right away to see if the part was available. I asked if I could sign up to have K&B do my annual servicing. He said that would save me 15% on the work I needed done for the coil pan which, with labor, was quoted at $750. 1k less that Schall! He thought maybe they would get it fixed by the end of the week. They were able to get it fixed the next day. Eric didn’t charge me a diagnostic fee, he didn’t try to sell me a new furnace I didn’t need, Hell he didn’t even try to sell me on the service maintenance. Before he left I thanked him and said I appreciated not being hosed. My experience with the tech that came out and Kathy who scheduled the appointments was all very positive. So far, I am so pleased and so thankful!

My furnace went out on a Sunday night during the January Polar Vortex. Brandon M. With K and B came out, diagnosed it, and went and found the part needed. Great guy, very professional, and explained everything. Well, hello, the part was defective and the furnace quit again. I called at midnight on the ff Wednesday and Brandon, again, came out at 1 a.m. Same great guy, professional and willing to do what had to be done to keep the house warm and pipes from freezing. A new part was found the ff morning. Long way to say Brandon, his uncomplaing and professional service at difficult hours, and in lousy weather, and K and B's prompt follow through the next morning have made me a solid customer.

After a $600 charge from another company for a service charge and a Freon fill last summer, I found my old 15 year old Ac unit was struggling again with the summer heat. Rick Bach came and inspected my old system and evaluated our needs. We agreed on new equipment and I signed the deal. We selected a new Lennox Elite 2 stage furnace and 2 stage A/C Condenser.
