I 100% without a doubt will never recommend any other company for hvac installation! Not only were they efficient, I received calls and texts along the way with amazing communication from the office and technicians. I also had an amazing experience with Tyler! On the first visit he came out and explained all of our options and ensured we understood everything. He even was willing to answer further questions I had when I called in on the weekend. His customer service was outstanding!

Update: They finally returned my call. Hopefully have someone out here by 3pm. I will update after this. I've been in the hospital all week and returned to no heat and freezing temps. I spoke to a very nice lady on Thursday 11/17 and she tried her best to get me on the schedule given my circumstance. A tech was supposed to come here yesterday (Friday 11/18) between 2-6pm. Nothing. No call, no show. At this point it's too late to call anywhere else without getting charged extra. I left a message with the answering service to be passed on. It is now 11:15am Saturday and no one has called me. I tried calling, but it just rings. I can't afford weekend rates somewhere else, so I will just continue to freeze. The customer service from the woman was exceptional, but the rest was a huge let down as a first time customer. It's better I know now that they didn't take accountability for missing my time block or the fact I'm disabled and freezing and now stuck until Monday to find a place.

We had this company install a new furnace and AC unit in 2016. A couple days ago we noticed the furnace wouldn't stay running. We called to place a service request and Justin came out to perform the work. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He let me know the part that wasn't working and got the new one installed within an hour. Great and friendly service.

They had to sync our new furnace with our already installed thermostat for the furnace to work properly. They had to come back a few times to determine that this was the problem and they fixed it. Update [new service story]: Charles came today to do the annual inspection of my furnace, which was installed by CJS several years ago. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient ~ couldn't ask for more! Update [new service story]: CJS sent Jamison when my water heater (which had been installed by a different plumber less than 5 yrs ago) stopped working, and Jamison was a total angel! He tried his best to adjust and clean parts so that it would at least work until a more permanent repair could be made with replacement parts, but still the flame wouldn't stay lit. He went out of his way to track down the needed parts, and returned the next morning ~ on his day off! In no time he'd installed the parts and once again I have hot running water! Many thanks to this friendly, caring and capable man for making this extra effort. And by the way, the CJS charge was way less than the estimate for the same work from Eco Plumbers, who'd come to evaluate the problem several days earlier (I didn't realize that CJS does that kind of work or I would have called them first). It was worth waiting until CJS could send someone. ALL of my experiences with CJS have been very positive. [original service story] Andrew came within an hour of my call to ask for help. He seemed very knowledgeable and explained the several problems with my furnace in terms I could understand. Without any pressure, he described my options. I will continue to do business with this company.

Showed me the problem part. Provided with me repair options and estimate. Was able to schedule me to meet with company representative to review my options. Again provided me with estimate on the spot. This was all done in my home. Suggested I should have AC assessed since it was same age as furnace. Technician returned the same evening I am completely overwhelmed with the level of service I was provided. Unfortunately this may be my last encounter with them as the units they install will have longevity Highly recommend without reservations

I called CJS Heating & Air for seasonal maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner. I just bought this condo 7 months ago and I knew there were some issues, but I was hopeful that some tune ups and minor repairs would solve the problems. The tech that came out was very friendly and helpful, and he walked me through all of his concerns and showed me the problem areas so I could see for myself. The repairs I needed cost more money than I was willing to put into and old heating and cooling system, so he called one of the project managers (Joe) and told him I was interested in purchasing a new system vs fixing the old one. Joe came out the same day and walked me through all of my options. 4 days later I have a new furnace, air conditioner and hot water tank, too. It is so nice to have a comfortable home again!! There was one tiny spot on my carpet that got damaged, about the size of a quarter (and to be honest with the amount of pieces and parts and heavy equipment coming in and out of here I am surprised there was not a lot more damage) but the install techs and Joe offered to "make it right" for me no less than 4 times. I declined the offer to repair the carpet because it's on my list of things to upgrade anyway, but I REALLY APPRECIATE that they were forthcoming with me about the damage and sincerely wanted to make things right. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a new HVAC system or repair. Very happy with my experience!

I had a problem with my heat pump. Brooke and Jamison did a fantastic job finally fixing it, but the other technicians definitely struggled a bit. All in all I’m satisfied with the work that was done (broken contactor switch and capacitors replaced) and I felt good about Brooke and Jamison’s knowledge and trusted that it is now properly fixed. However, I was disappointed with the original techs that were sent out who had accidentally knocked loose a wire and then spent hours unsuccessfully trying to figure out what was wrong. Throughout the repair (a total of 3 visits across 6 days) the communication was excellent, the technicians called 20-30 minutes before arrival and arrived in the window they were scheduled. I felt like the prices (for service at least) were comparable to other providers. So in general, I would say this a good company, but if the technician that comes to you is saying something questionable, you may want to ask them send one of their more experienced people.

So far everything has went well. I've not had a problem with my furnace or air conditioner yet. I just got inspection on furnace two days ago. The gentleman who arrived was very nice and actually picked up my over turned trash can and put all the trash back in it for me. That was above and beyond nice. He was very upbeat neat and punctual. He answered all my questions . Very nice company so far. I have read a lot of negativity I find some hard to believe. So far I would recommend them for new instlations.I just had my new air conditioning checked 41520 . It went just as well as the furnace inspection. I was well pleased with every one involved with the new inspection as before. Thank you CJS. 10/20/20 just had my first year furnace inspection for the winter months. Angela, you did a great job. I still recommend CJS. 6/6/2022. Great job always CJS. Technician, She was outstanding, She is from the Dayton area and was great. Did her job extremely well and timely. She kept me informed on all systems and what went wrong. Repaired all. She was neat,cleaned after what was repaired and waited to make sure all was in working order before leaving. Thanks again. 9/23/2022 Great Service as usual. I did not expect anything else from CJS. They did all on time and diligently. Thanks again. 1/20/2023 all was great as usual. Judaon was a great technician and explained what he preformed and why. Very likable person. He's a keeper. My furnace and AC your company installed is great.

Charles was my technician today and he was absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a more friendly, knowledgeable, and overall genuine person to come out to help us when we've been sweltering in the heat without ac for a week. He made sure to explain everything in layman's terms so I could actually understand, was very thorough and answered questions we had. He also was so kind and even spoke with me about my flowers for a bit! Sometimes having someone you don't know come do work in your house is daunting but Charles really made it feel like I'd known him forever. Couldn't recommend this company or Charles personally more. Very happy we chose this company over the others!

It was an odd turn of events but Angela and Jud stuck it out for hours trying every trick in the book. Turns out my AC system was definitely installed improperly by a previous company. This did not stop them from trying everything they could to get my house cooled down. Sadly after hours the conclusion was made it could not be fix that day. I was not charged for the visit. They really stand by "fixed right or it's free" motto. I'm looking forward to Angelas email in the morning to see how this problem can be resolved. Her dedication to helping my family and me get and stay cool speaks volumes. Thank you. The next day Sabrina came to my house and checked everything out to get me all set up for a new unit. This is after Angela sent me all the possible options so I could make an informed decision. Sabrina was very knowledgeable, personable and didn't suger coat things or try to over sell me on anything. Made me feel very comfortable about my decision and got me on the right track to a new ac unit. CJS has a customer for life.

We had the amazing Josh duo out this morning to install a tankless hot water system. We originally had an electric tankless that was installed through a deal from a contractor working on other projects. Big mistake!! Never hire a chuck in a truck. Definitely did our research and chose CJS for their quick response time and professional service. From the Project Manager all the way to the installers. They gave us the red carpet treatment and was very thorough with their options they presented us. It is true what Jim and Val say, they care about our Safety and want to ensure that we are Happy and Comfy.

New water heater installed, Jonathan came back and too out the old, replaced water and gas lines and installed the new water heater. Fast and professional, I would highly recommend them.

My husband and I were having issues with our AC and we planned on replacing the AC and the furnace together, so we called CJ's. The tech came out, but we had changed our mind about the diagnostic and we told him we were actually looking to replace our entire system, so the tech called Joe to have him come look at everything. Joe came out the same day to go over our options to replace the equipment. He checked everything out and got all of the measurements he needed. He was very thorough about everything, professional, and extremely patient. Because of him, I learned a lot about HVAC system, maintenance, repair, importance of permits, etc. He basically gave us a free course on the importance of proper installation and a lot of other beneficial information. Joe was helpful and did everything he could to help us get a good deal for a new HVAC system. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a good financing option to use for them, but they had several options, Of course, they don't control who gets approved or doesn't. Since we weren't able to pay out of pocket, we had to go with another company, but I would still recommend them because of the excellent quality of customer service and willingness to help.

My experience with CJS has been nothing but positive. I’ve used them for the last 5 years and everyone I’ve interacted with has been so nice. I had an experience where a technician came to the house and thought the AC had a bad compressor and suggested I get a new unit. Joe came out to discuss new AC options and looked over my unit one more time. He thought it might actually be a different part that went bad. He changed the part himself and did not charge me for the part or labor. After that experience I have stuck with them. This year I needed a new furnace and Joe was the person that came out again to discuss options. I have never felt pressured into getting something I don’t need with CJS. For the furnace installation, they provided a 3 person crew so the work could be done faster (less time with the heat off). They did such clean good work and walked me through everything when they were done. I will continue to use CJS.

While I understand emergencies, I do not understand having to wait over a month to get the units serviced, again. The service techs are excellent, the office, no so much.

In December of 2020, Andrew came out for a routine Heating/AC checkup. He identified some issues with our furnace that would be expensive to replace, so we opted to have it replaced along with our AC. Andrew was very knowledgeable and friendly, and showed us the issues he described with a camera inside the unit. Andrew helped connect us with Joe to determine cost and recommendations for the replacements. Joe came out to see us within a few hours of getting in touch with him. He was thorough and very friendly and we are very happy with his recommendations. Joe was able to arrange an install for us within 48 hours. Dustin, Jeff and Josh were the team that installed our AC and furnace units. Dustin installed the AC and it looks BEAUTIFUL. He graded the area around it and incorporated two stepping stones that we had by our previous unit. He did a fantastic job on the install. Jeff and Josh installed the furnace, and they also did amazing work. The piping they installed is out of the way and minimal, so it doesn't disrupt anything we already had setup in the basement for storage and pathways. They did a great job applying their skills to our specific space and making it all work. The entire install team was friendly, professional and respectful in our home. Additionally, you could tell they were all very proud of their work, as they should be! We're very happy with our purchase, and will continue to use CJS for our biannual checkups. Thank you, CJS!

We had a water heater installed. While not everyone may be as lucky as we were, when our water heater died we were able to get a new one installed the next day. Everyone we spoke to one the phone and came to our house were friendly, helpful and professional. If you've ever been without hot water in your place, you know what a hassle it is. CJS Heating and Cooling reacted to our situation like they knew what a hassle it was too and really worked hard to get our hot water back on with a new water heater in less than 24 hours from our call. Like I said, you may not be as lucky as we were, but they really did a great job making it for us, a first time customer.

I am always so frustrated when working with contractors of any kind, and I am the daughter of a contractor. Getting through all of the sales pitches and the lack of trust is always so draining. I immediately trusted that with CJS that I would get quality service because of reviews I had read and the project manager who walked me through an estimate, but I was still concerned that I was getting a price that was too high. I did get other estimates and discovered that the price was in the ballpark for a company of that size and level of service including warranties, etc. I refused to make a decision until I had at least three estimates in spite of the pressure that all of them put on me to do so, moderate pressure. While CJS did tout their well trained technicians, etc., they never bad mouthed any other companies unlike some of the other people I talked with. While the estimate process is clearly a negotiation process with all contractors, my project manager, Chris, was responsive and respectful. None of the companies I work with give itemized quotes, but when I asked CJS specific questions, they always answered me, and their responses were consistent with the research I was doing. The technicians, Ganga and Amber, were polite and professional and did their jobs so efficiently and quietly that other than the occasional banging noises, I didn't even know they were in my house or yard. There was no up selling from the technicians with the exception of one quick comment about my current UV filtration system. I have only had the new AC for a couple of days, and it is lovely. I would recommend CJS for install projects. I will have to update my review later regarding how they handle service calls.

Installation was the next day and went smoothly for the most part. When we had an issue I gave Joe a call and he had it squared away in minutes. A few days later Justin came back out to ensure everything was done properly. He was thorough and did some fine tuning to make sure everything was as it should be. Overall, from my experience I would say CJS hires quality knowledgeable people and has a great culture of customer service.

I am more than impressed with this company from start to finish! Of course my AC unit decided to died in the midst of 90+ degree weather...and of course I didn't find out until I got home from work after hours. I called several companies that offer 24 hrs service as I had no service contract in place. All (but CJS) had representatives answer the phone that could not provide ANY information such as cost, estimated time to repair, nothing! They only offered a call back from someone who could. The CJS rep answered ALL of my questions! Even more impressive, they would not charge extra for the after hour call, but offered me a discount as a first time customer (Under $70 for the diagnostic + price of parts). I was given a very reasonable time frame for repair (2hr window), but I was contacted an hour after the call and the work was completed ahead of my window! AMAZING! That never happens!! I'll add that all of this was done before I ever got a callback from the others. I think the price of the Capacitor replacement was bit high, but I would have paid that price in efficiency of service alone. Finally, I received a follow up call the next day (today) asking me how it went. That is customer service at it's finest! I am sure there is no surprise I signed up for a service contract with them. :) Thank you!

She was very thorough and made sure she wrote down everything I needed done and spoke with a supervisor to confirm they could do the job. Got a text and email with photo when the technician was on the way. Yousef was very personable and professional. He had to leave to get the appropriate parts and was very careful when removing the corroded dangerous flue pipe. The repair was done efficiently and I was very pleased with the cost. I wasn't aware that this device had reached its operation limit. I'm thinking that's why my wife and granddaughter might be coughing more. Highly recommend CJS!! (formerly Swiss Air) I had been with Swiss Air since 2005 and very pleased with them, so I was a bit disconcerted when CJS took over, but they have exceeded my expectations! During a recent annual heating checkup, Tech Jamison discovered a cracked heat exchanger that had previously gone undetected. He showed me video and pictures of the cracks and explained the need to either replace the heat exchanger (part not covered by my maintenance plan and would cost over $2500 part/labor) or get a new furnace/AC! I was elated to learn later that the heat exchanger in my 15-yr old Carrier furnace was still under warranty (20 yrs)!! Labor was totally covered by my plan, so cost would be $0.00! Jamison was so nice, and so thorough and meticulous, that I requested him to do the replacement. He arrived Tues morning Mar 20 (1st Day of Spring) with another tech, Gabe, who was equally knowledgeable. The two got the job done in half the estimated time! I am super-pleased and highly recommend CJS, to anyone needing heating/AC! Thank you, guys! (and terrific office staff as well)

Today was my first experience with Swiss Heating & Air and it was WONDERFUL!! I already had someone who had been servicing my a/c and furnace but could not reach him today so I began searching the internet since my furnace died today. Swiss Heating & Air was the 3rd call that I made but they were the first to have availability today, Friday, as opposed to next week, and since the temps fell today into the 20s, I scheduled with them. The person who answered and scheduled my appointment was very pleasant! She called back later to tell me that the technician was freed up earlier than expected and that he could be at my house much earlier than my appointment which was wonderful. Angela was AWESOME! She went "out of her way" to help me move a heavy wooden structure that was built to cover the air Conditioning Unit outside, but lots of dead leaves had accumulated around it. It needs to breathe, she explained and it was not good for the unit. She helped me to get it into my garage for me, so I could get rid of it! She also went from one vent to the next, to help me remove all of these magnetic covers, my Husband bought on Amazon. She said in our split level house, this was not good for proper air circulation. She also cleaned the outside unit with her own hose that she brought with her. She did a wonderful and thorough job!

First off, I have to say that their answering service was not awesome. They were curt and dismissive - like an overwrought mother talking to her chatty 3 year old. They're not CJS employees, but I thought it bears mentioning. The person who called the next morning from CJS was engaging, very kind, and ensured she had all the details. She set me up with an appointment, and effectively erased the sour feeling I had from the Answering service people. CJS Sent Jamison V over to look at my system. He diagnosed the problem in about 5 seconds, but was able to do so without making me feel like a dummy for not figuring it out for myself. Jamison checked the rest of the system to ensure it was running correctly. Jamison is friendly, funny, and an all-around great guy. The man knows his stuff, too.

We have been using Swiss H&A for over ten years - first at our historic home downtown and now in our suburban home in Worthington. They have consistently exceeded our expectations and have earned our complete loyalty. In our old home, they installed a new heating and AC system as well as a water heater. As the home was >100yo there were many complications and the team worked through each of them successfully without ever charging us more than the original bid. They also maintained our systems there for ten years and kept everything working perfectly. Over the past summer, Seth had to come out to our new house for an AC repair and even braved a flea infestation (ack!) to help us. And most recently Seth came out to evaluate and repair our heating system. He spent quite a bit of time with us but we were still only charged the standard fee for a diagnostic visit. And I should note that he was endlessly patient as he had to explain the problem to me at least ten times! Swiss H&A returns phone calls promptly (even in the late evening), they are respectful and pleasant to work with, they are well educated and excellent at their trade, and they are fair and reasonably priced. We recommend them highly!

I admit I was skeptical of all their 4- and 5-star reviews back when I was shopping for a new AC/furnace unit this past June, in that they almost sounded too good to be true. Now that I've dealt with them as a customer, I can see why they're so highly regarded. Everyone-- from the "comfort specialist" (Tony?) who patiently helped me find a systems within my budget (and quickly fixed an honest mistake that was made regarding a rebate that should've been credited to the final price) , to the receptionists I spoke with on the phone, to the technicians who did the installation-- were very professional and pleasant to deal with. I got 4 different estimates, and theirs was by far the most thorough (and more importantly, the cheapest!). I'm very happy with the new system so far, and will definitely recommend CJS/Swiss Air to others looking for an honest and affordable HVAC company. As a postscript, I had to call a technician out today as our unit wouldn't turn on. He (I'm blanking on the name...maybe Gabe?) arrived on time, and quickly diagnosed a bad electrical turn-off switch to the unit and fixed it free of charge.

Swiss Air Heating and Cooling (Columbus, OH) installed our air conditioner and furnace about 12 years ago and both units are still functioning efficiently. The technicians perform routine maintenance for us twice a year. We have no complaints whatsoever. The technicians are always professional and yet friendly. Technicians take time to explain and educate us with any questions we have had throughout the years. I have recommended Swiss Air to family and friends and will continue to highly recommend this company. The office staff is always courteous and truly work with our schedule when we make appointments. Cannot think of anything negative about the equipment, service techs, billing, office staff, etc.

I had no hot water and a leaking water heater and called CJS Heating 24 hr emergency number @ 11:00pm. My call was returned within minutes by Charles , the tech on emergency call, who was extremely helpful and patient, walking me through what I needed to do since a repair or replacement could not be done until the next day. As promised, Yousef arrived between 9 and 11am the next day, arriving early, which was very impressive. He was neat, clean, professionally dressed with a professional/friendly demeanor. He showed respect for my home by wearing booties each time he entered. I had questions and he answered them, showing me several leaks which justified the need for a new heater. Brent arrived later and assisted in the removal and install of the new heater. He was also neat, clean, professionally dressed , and respectful. I would definitely recommend CJS Heating. Their techs are well trained Professionals, friendly, and show genuine concern for the customer!!

It's been just 4 days since I have a gas furnace replaced by CJS team. Overall they did a great job Pros: - CJS team is highly responsive, no issues calling and setting up appointments and they are on time - Very thorough review, analysis, report and follow-up - Technicians are experienced and/or certified and they addressed all minor concerns I have - Pricing based on product may be a bit expensive but overall reasonable or competitive on furnace. Areas of Improvement: They originally missed to install the requested exhaust/intake unit outside somehow - they ended up using pipes going up and down. However, they quickly responded and got it fixed promptly upon request - I hope they will keep a checklist next time around, but respect their quick response though (reason for 5 stars) and would strongly recommend given the overall experience so far. After about 6 months, no issues - glad went for the most efficient system - CJS promptly addressed minor city code concerns and passed inspection.

I found CJS Heating and Air on Angies List. Without hesitation I can say my experience with CJS was outstanding! My situation was a leaking water heater. CJS had a technician at my home within 30 minutes of my initial contact with the company. My home has two hot water heaters that were 19 years old and required replacement. CJS was at my home the next morning with new water heaters that were installed by two very professional technicians. What was really impressive was the technicians care and preparation of my hardwood floors and staircase to the basement. Brendon arrived on time, was professionally dressed and extremely polite. He spent a lot of time checking out the furnace to make sure everything was ok. This is not a “drive by” check. Zach was my technician and I could not be more pleased with his performance. He was knowledgeable regarding all areas of my heating system, very open to answering all questions(and I had quite a few), and had an overall positive energy about him. He was thorough and checked all aspects of my electrical heating system while not jumping to conclusions as to what could be wrong. Once he determined what the glitch was, he repaired it quickly and efficiently while continuing to check that other areas were not effected negatively. Once all areas were running to above satisfaction, clean up was swift and efficient. Swiss Air and Zach should be a role model to other companies who strive for customer satisfaction!

Great experience with CJS!! We were informed last year that our system would not likely see another summer, and they were 100% correct. Matt came out on Thursday evening as we were not getting cold air. Friday morning, Joe came out and went through options, payment plans, etc. That evening, Ola & Tim we’re at our house replacing the units. 26 hours. It was 26 hours from the time I first called CJS at 1130 on Thursday to report that my furnace was blowing cold air in the middle of January until our new unit was installed, running, and reheating our home. Inside that 26 hour window, Antonio came by and diagnosed our old unit as being pretty much gone, but he walked me through the entire diagnosis process, and quoted me a price to fix it, in case I decided to go that route. Stand-up guy. Then, 90 minutes after Antonio left, Tony stopped by to survey the place and quote us some replacement options. Very cordial, no high pressure sales, Another stand-up guy. Then, at 0830 the following morning, Ola, Farid, Tim, and Josh arrived and proceeded to take out the old unit, and install the new one. They were all consummate professionals. House looks better after they left than it did before they arrived. By 1300 on Friday, I had a new, energy star certified furnace blowing hot air and reheating our house. Couldn't be happier with any step of the process. Jim and Val should be proud to put their names on those radio commercials because their staff exceeded even the high expectations set forth therein.

Had a great experience with Swiss Air. They were very responsive, they sent people out who showed up when hey said they would. Initially Joe came out to provide an estimate. When it came time for the installation, OJ and Steve were very professional. They addressed any concern I had and answered all my questions. I was extremely satisfied with the service provided. Overall, I had called four HVAC companies to get quotes; Swiss Air was the only company who had a person answer the phone and schedule someone to come out the next day to provide a quote. The other companies had answering machines and could not get anyone to come out for 3-5 days. Within those same 3-5 days, Swiss Air had my unit installed. Fantastic job and I will be recommending Swiss Air to all my friends.

Had a great experience with CJS Heating and Air. They came out about a month ago on a Saturday at 11pm to check out AC that had gone out. Did a temporary fix for us because we didn’t want to replace at that moment. Unfortunately it went out again (as expected) and we were able to have the AC/furnace replaced in the same week. Chris went out of his way to come out late to give us an estimate, they refilled the Freon again so we could keep the house cool for the two days between install and they came out on a Saturday and had it installed within a few hours. There was a little confusion about the thermostat and Chris quickly called and helped us out with it, then gave us an upgrade for the confusion. Great company, would recommend to anyone who needs their AC/furnace replaced.

Thank you to the staff at CJS Heating and Air Columbus. Chris did a thorough inspection and determined my A/C compressor was bad. Explained my options of repair or replacing the system and set up an appointment to meet with Tony to look at replacement. Tony was at my home at 7pm the same day and gave me several options. I made a selection and the crew of Steveo, Noel and Tim were out the next morning installing new system. They worked diligently, kept me informed of their progress and cleaned up when they were completed. They showed me what was done and how to operate the new system. Representative arrived on time and took our information. He then made several proposals that would meet our needs. No high pressure, just good information from him. We discussed our situation and decided on a product. Our appointment was set and we were informed as to what to expect. Installers arrived on the appointed date and time. Old furnace was removed and new one installed in four hours. Work area was cleaned up nicely and tech educated me on the operation of my new heating plant. Financial arrangements completed and techs left for next assignment. Next day, I noticed that where the old furnace had been disconnected from the flue the pipe was wide open. Since the hot water tank is also connected to the flue I called and asked to have the installer call me. I was concerned about the safety of having this open to the basement. As of yet no call back. I'm left feeling kissed and forgotten at this point. Its now been 6 days since I called.

My A/C went out and with two dogs and a ornery 7 year old boy we were all dying in the 85+ heat! I called around to multiple companies after googling for repair services in my neighborhood. Almost everyone I spoke to was rude or short with me and majority could not get out until a week or more later. This is a rating based on how my interaction was today. Note I still need to hear back for replacing the entire AC unit due to the age of the system. This is in response to an emergency call. I am from the Columbus, OH area. I called CJS Heating and Air on a Saturday. They came out within a couple hours to look at our AC unit not working. Andrew replaced a component to get it limping along. He was very informative and helped me understand what the issue was. I appreciate the time Andrew took to help explain what was going on. A small thing that was important to me was when my kids were talking to him, he took his time to be patient with them and answers their questions. He didn’t have to, but he did. It is apparent their people love to work for the company. It makes me happy to do business with a company that cares about their people.

Update 12/7/18 - the furnace failed overnight. We realized in the morning. Our little one caught a cold. I called CJS asap. Took only couple hours and the tech, Ali came. He worked hard and discovered that couple switches were damaged. Made a trip back to warehouse to bring right switches and repaired the furnace. Today is the next day and it works better than before so far. In past it would never get as high on second floor as it was on first floor. Most importantly Ali has great customer skills and is very transperent about things. He also assured his and CJS best help as needed. It has been about a year that we found this company as first time home owners who needed to have their 30 plus years furnace checked up. This resulted a new furnace installation in few months. It has been about 5 months we had uninterrupted great service. What's also very helpful, the customer service and techs, e.g. Zach, even the sales manager Kevin were pretty transparent and honest. Being a permanent client/membership gives such a great support. Just yesterday we had our water heater stopped working (installed few months ago, brand new by the home warranty company not Swissair). Zach came by next day and tested all out and found out that not gas at home. Come and find out that Columbia Gas shut it off because leak repair on the meter piping and left a notice on the front door that we hardly use, as most of our condo people use carport doors. So 2 days no hot water. Zack was great once again. And yes when he installed the new furnace he found that the piping of the same water heater was faulty and wouldn't pass the cities inspection. The home warranty company couldn't redo their bad job and just refunded us partially. Zack came by right away and changed the piping and we passed the inspection smoothly. The gas tech confirmed that it was great that it was done as the venting wouldn't be appropriate and carbon monoxide was coming into the basement. Well I am glad that I discovered this company that I can relay on.

My technicial was Charles. Charles was on time. He called when he was on his way and when he was about to arrive. He listened to my problem and was able to quickly troubleshoot the issue. He was able to provide me options to fix it. He was able to make the repair and get my AC back up and working. Charles was very professional, mindful of his work, and very thorough. I subscribe to their monthly service plan that has seasonal visits by their team to check the health of my equipment. The installation team was terrific. They even brought in extra guys to make sure the replacement of the entire heat/air system was finished in one cold winter day. They started at 8:30am and didn leave until 6pm. No breaks in between. Their clean was excellent.can't praise them enough for that effort. However, I was less than impressed by the "quality inspector" they sent out a couple of days later. He supposedly could answer "all my questions". My questions concerned the ION smart wall thermostat, a really marvelous piece of technology. I knew more about it than he did. To begin, he couldn't tell me what the model was. This was info I needed to register the device. I ended up calling the manufacturer and had the answer in less than 5minutes. I overheard one of his phone conversations where he was explaining that I want to connect the device to the internet because I am an old person. Well, that's partially true. I am 83. But I didn't want to connect for security reasons. I'd use them again and hope for a better quality inspector. James Starr

I scheduled the appointment to do the yearly checkup on our old furnace 3 weeks ago. The appointment was for between 10 and 2. At 10:17am we got a call from Suzie telling us the tech was on his way. Seth arrived about 10 mins. later. He was very professional and very friendly. He advised me to get a carbon monoxide detector and showed me where it would be best to mount it. I was upset that they did not get here until 9:45 am, after I had to call and wonder if they were coming at all. I was told 8:am. We were promised 5 years of free filters which they had to go and get. A part was missing and there was along wait for that to come. The 3 young men who did the work were very nice. Had PM this am, but came home to all my detector alarms going off. I called to see if they could check for CO2 or if there was a malfunction. Brenton came out and did a walk thru.(I gave him ear plugs because it was so loud!) My alarms are hard wired, so he looked to see if a circuit breaker was available...it wasn't. He then took one down and found out the battery was dead. Since I'm a new homeowner and I've never had hard-wired detectors, I didn't know they also had battery backups. He was very good at concealing his amazement at my ignorance! We replaced the battery and I vowed to replace all the others, too. I'm sure he shook his head all the way back to the office, but I'm thankful for his professionalism.!

I selected companies to come to my home and give me a quote for a brand new central air system. Joe from Swiss Air was the first of the multiple highly rated companies to come to my home. Joe was the most polite, friendly, and prompt of all the companies I shopped. Joe did they typical assessment of my existing system and checked out the electrical just to make sure there were no surprises. What impressed me was that Joe took the time to make notes and address some issues with existing equipment to prevent any damage and make changes for wiring. He did this and explained it to me regardless of whether he was getting my business. (Joe was the only one of many companies who made note of these issues). Joe worked up a quote for me and had multiple system configurations for my consideration. He also took the time to thoroughly walk me through the available energy tax credits and utilities rebates that my new system would qualify for. He explained that I had the option to have the rebates paid to them and the difference would be deducted from my quote or I could have the rebate checks sent to me at a later date. Joe was knowledgable and therefore confident about my qualifications for these rebates which was an important factor in my purchase decision. Swiss Air was not initial the lowest quote but they were quite certainly in the competitive range. Being a cost conscious consumer I requested some negotiations in cost from Swiss Air and one other company. While the other company had Swiss Air beat with their install quote, Swiss Air sold me on their service. While I did manage to negotiate the cost ever so slightly with Joe, what I found was Joe and Swiss Air valued my business, treated me well, and showed me that they would work hard to make sure their customer is happy. In addition, I have to say that the Swiss Air guarantees are also very good and should be taken into consideration if comparing to other companies. At no time did Joe try and pressure me into an install, which was wise, as I had a working system that I was looking to replace before it failed. When I decided to schedule an install, Joe was able to get me scheduled in less than 48 hours. The three technicians arrived promptly at the time I requested. All three were exceptionally happy and pleasant. They worked clean, efficiently, and answered any and all questions I had about the new system and installation. They relocated the exterior condenser coil per my preference and carefully installed and contoured the new line set so as to prevent it from getting damaged. (Since the install, inspectors from the utilities companies have been out to validate the rebates and have all commented on how njce of a job the installers did with this system). I was pretty amazed when they were respreading the mulch that had been displaced by the placement of the condenser coil, and they were waiting on the system to charge, one of them started pulling weeds from my flower beds. Over the top, but still quite a nice gesture. Over all, I am quite pleased with my experience with Swiss Air. In this day and age, so much of the equipment you purchase is so similar to the competitor which really limits a company on what they can really sell you. Sometimes all they can sell you is service. In the case of Joe and the crew at Swiss Air they do a fine job selling their brand through great customer service and a guarantee on their workmanship that displays confidence in their abilities.

We found Swiss Air through Angie's List after being told by another company that we needed to replace our 8-yr old furnace. Swiss Air not only identified a problem and fixed our furnace for the cost of a tune-up (saving us thousands of dollars) but they took the time to educate us about our system. And what Swiss Air found in our furnace system during our first service revealed the company we used prior was not actually cleaning our system because there were materials in furnace which only could have gotten there during installation! We had an issue with AC in the house. It did not blow cold air, which was pretty harsh situation during a hot day. I called CJS and Kotrina Souter picked the call. She handled my call very professionally. Even seems there was no available schedule until couple of days later, she told me there might be cancellations and I could likely get a chance to squeeze in. That’s exactly what happened later and I got a visit on same day. The technician Midge is very professional and he checked my furnace and AC, did not see any obvious problem. And based on his check, he gave me his thoughts and conclusion about the root cause, which likely related to dirty air filter and blocked air circulation, caused coil frozen. After AC been shut down hours, it has melted internally and fixed the basic problem by itself. He did couple of other checks and the air seems now stronger than before. Overall, I am pretty happy with the service CJS provided me today.

10/22/2020 - CJ came back to do the fall tune up. All set and ready for winter! 10/1/2020 - Woke up and house was bit cool. Was set to heat to 72. Thermostat show 69, and was calling for heat, but burner would not ignite. CJS sent Charles (CJ) out that day. Gas control valve was not working. He picked up a new one and installed on Friday. So far, so good! 3/12/2020- Had a water leak coming out of the furnace. Marvin came out and determined the drain for any condensation from the outside air intake had become plugged from sediment. Cleaned out and resolved issue. 9/23/2019- Brenton is fantastic. Fall tune-up and he found an inducer that needed to be proactively replaced. (Which he did) Then, he inspected our intake and exhaust and made sure no birds or rodents would get in. Thanks Brenton! 4/21/19- Matt and Ryan fixed the issue with our AC and we are now ready for summer! Mahmado is our usual service rep was not available. He does our pre-summer and pre-winter tune ups. Awesome dude. Brenton came out today for spring tune up. Great experience!

Date of work 1/19: Job: replacement furnace/ac Would hire again? Yes Our furnace had stopped working and needed to be replaced. We took 4 estimates. They were all similar, CJS had the most competitive pricing, service plan, and better warranty on the equipment (10 year parts and labor). They use tempstar products. The bid also included a larger filter rack and wifi thermostat The project manager Tony was responsive and easy to get ahold of and was able to arrange for installation the next day. The installation itself there were minor issues. The lead installer was Ola who was very professional, courteous and competent. One we had a old thermostat and zoning system that was difficult to find compatibility. Therefore they could not put in a wifi, Ola and Tony were trying to solve the problem. Another team came by the next day and had to replace the zoning board and we had wifi functionality. Secondly, they had to come back a day after that to place a wraparound instead of a larger filter rack. Overall there were minor complications during the installation which required repeat visits, but they got the job done, and eventually solved the issue. I definitely would hire them again and recommend their company.

Yesterday, our A/C stopped working. I had no idea who to call, so I looked on the internet. I came across Swiss Air and I saw it had many 5-star ratings and was BBB accredited, so I called and made an appointment. Since it was a Saturday, I got the answering service and gave them my information. I received a call back from a technician (Zach) within 30 minutes and he told me that he would be there in about an hour. Zach arrived promptly and had the problem diagnosed and corrected quickly. I had a new system installed by CJS in November and all winter, the furnace worked great! This weekend, I turned on the AC for the first time and it just didn’t seem like it was cooling right to me, so I called the office to make an appointment to get it looked at. I called on Saturday at 9pm and a technician (Yousef) was at my house by 11am the next morning. On a holiday no less! Yousef could not have been nicer, and did a great job explaining what he was going to doing and how he planned on finding the issue. Once he figured it out, he called another technician, Gabe, to come out to confirm his findings. I didn’t find out until after Gabe got to my house that he wasn’t even supposed to be working, he was just coming to support his fellow technician. What teamwork! Both Yousef and Gabe did a great job, found and fixed the problem and my house is cooler than ever! Thanks to CJS for being so responsive, friendly and accommodating. Negative: We ultimately chose A DIFFERENT COMPANY to replace our AC unit due to the vast price difference. AC units generally have parts manufactered from the same few brands, so the "we have better quality and service" excuse didn't jusify the $1000 price tag difference. I usually don’t write reviews, but Ali did such a great job that I couldn't justify not doing it. My AC quit working a few days ago and I called the company that had originally installed (not CJS - Obviously); needless to say, that was a horrible experience, their technician was super lazy and unprofessional for many reasons, but I was willing to overlooked that fact if he had suggested the correct solution, but he didn’t. He told me that the issue was with my ac fan (despite me pointing out that the fan will run for over 2 minutes before stopping). After getting such suggested “solution”, I decided to get a second opinion from CJ’s. And the experience with Ali was complete opposite of the horrible one I just had earlier in the day. Ali took the time checking everything to make sure he could isolate the issue, and provide the correct solution. It turned out that I had two leaks and there was nothing wrong with my fan (I didnt tell Ali about my prior experience until he had suggested a solution). Thank you Ali and CJ, great service from the moment I called to make the appointment!

They were at my complex to service the adjacent condo when they were up on the roof where our AC units are they discovered that my AC fan was running but not cooling. Jamison knocked on my door and asked whether I was getting cool air. Since I rarely use my AC I hadn’t noticed. Long story short is Jamison went out of his way to make the most of the service call which required a climb up a 20ft ladder to reach the AC units.

My a/c decided to call it quits on the hottest weekend so far this year. Not only are the temps in the lower 90's, but it's also Memorial Day weekend. So I thought for sure I was doomed to suffocate inside the house until Tuesday. But I remembered CJS from their commercials I hear on 610WTVN, a local news/talk radio station. So I thought what the heck, let's give them a call. They came out the very next day, on a Sunday, and got my a/c back up and running. The technician was very nice and personable and the cost was about where I figured it was going to be. They assured me, however, they don't charge extra for weekends and/or holidays. Good stuff, brothers and sisters. I bought a full HVAC and new water heater a few years ago from these guys. Here's the payoff: A few days ago I turned on my AC for the first time this year, and I had a minor vibration problem with my blower when it was on high. Jim from Swiss Air made a house call and fixed it up. The problem was a little weird and intermittent, so it took a two visits to correct. But it was a pleasure to have a pro like Jim come out, show me extra details about the system worked, (I'm a nerd), correct the issue, and then not charge me a dime! (Five years labor and parts on my Tempstar HVAC.) BTW, I have a 1700 square foot bi-level, very basic 80s house. My natural gas budget is now about $60 a month. The extra electricity to run the AC the last two summers is *almost* buried in the normal variation of our total monthly bill. We have had rather cool summers, so it will be interesting to see what happens when I have to run it all summer like normal. But I'm pretty optimistic!
