CARE installed a new furnace and A/C a couple years ago and did a fantastic job. The sales process was no-pressure and the price was competitive. They helped me choose the ideal systems for my square footage and usage. Since then, CARE has performed annual system checks and tune-ups to keep everything running smoothly. Everyone from sales to scheduling to installation to maintenance has been very pleasant. Definitely recommend!

Our furnace was intermittingly working on and off, CARE sent a technician the very net morning to assess issue. Part needed ordered and was installed by Mike, who was great and professional, and he walked me through everything he did, and made sure I was familiar with all the settings on furnace and associated humidifier feature. We have used CARE as well for annual maintenance. Highly recommend.

Shane was awesome! Explained everything he was doing and why. Did a couple of extra things to ensure everything was going to run smoothly. Only issue is that I was quoted "around $100" for the part that was replaced but was actually charged 50% more than that when all was said and done.

After experiencing their excellent support last year during an HVAC failure, I didn't hesitate to subscribe to their monthly customer service plan, giving me discounts and priority consideration on initial service calls (which I just used today to bump ahead a queue already 3 weeks long). More kudos: As a residential service provider, CARE Heating & Cooling has access to the same regional hiring/talent pool as any other competing HVAC outfit, yet they clearly take the time to select qualified applicants and develop them into exceptionally qualified representatives of the core spirit of this business; Take CARE of your customer. Before working with CARE, I never expected much from regional service providers. I imagine many of us have asked ourselves, "Now why am I doing this again?" as the phone rings and you wait for the friendly dispatcher at the service center to help you schedule a large window of availability many days from now where you have to squat in your home and wait for a van to mysteriously arrive containing loads of equipment and a technician who is proficient with less than a third of it to spend way too little time diagnosing and them performing the wrong repair so he can bill you for work you didn't need without addressing the core reason you called. If you never want to have that experience again, give CARE a call, every time. Even a service visit with no repairs will be worth your time, as you'll likely end up learning more about your own system in just one visit.

It was a bit disappointing that the scheduling person couldn't get us scheduled before the summer began since I requested in early Spring. It would be helpful if they could send a notice reminding you to schedule further ahead for the maintenance visits as I believe they provided in the past.

Care heating and Cooling have always been kind, honest, and fair. I have used them for years and will continue to do so. I would highly recommend them. Updating my review. The first technician didn't fix the issue so they came back yesterday. He said a board needs replaced and they would order it. Today I got a call that the technician failed to get the serial and model numbers an they have to schedule yet another appointment to come back and get them. Another delay! I understand mistakes, but good customer service would be coming back immediately to get them as it was their mistake! I've always been impressed with them in the past and highly recommended them to others, but this is really making me rethink ever using them or recommending them again.

On Friday morning I found my /A was running but no air was blowing through the vents. I called CARE and the customer service rep was so helpful and advised me on things I should do before the tech could come that afternoon. When the tech arrived unfortunately they could not assist as the unit was still frozen but did explain what the issues could be. Dana called the office and explained the issue and made an appointment for me the next day. The next day a tech came out Andy, who asked me to explain the issue and what had happened, After explaining Andy examined the unit and diagnosed very quickly what the issue was. Andy was able to not only give me a price for the part within minutes but had the part on the van !! My a/c was back up and running in less than an hour!! I am an extremely happy customer and would strongly recommend CARE for any heating and cooling needs or problems

They honored the discounted quote the previous technician gave. Schedule scheduled us just days later. Again, the technician, Wes, called when he was on his way. And now the house is super comfortable. He answered all our questions and told us about how to maintain it. And this is the kicker, where I'd give him an extra star if I could. He was so courteous and consistent about wearing a mask while in our home, which made us feel much better having a new person in our bubble.

This was our first time using CARE Heating and Cooling and the service was so excellent, we signed up for their ongoing bi-annual service plan. Kelly P. serviced our AC unit and was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in terms I could understand. We had moved into a new home and the unit had not been cleaned in years. After she repaired our unit, she removed layers of dust, dirt, and leaves and used cleaning solutions until it was sparkling. Our unit is over 15 years old but looked like new when she was done. She even hand weeded around the unit! We received a quote from another vendor for a lot of services that were not even necessary or relevant for our unit. Using CARE saved us hundreds of dollars. Highly recommend!!

Jeramie Kirkpatrick and his partner (didn't catch his name) came out today for a HVAC check. They were exceedingly professional and personable. They explained what they were doing and were very responsive to my questions (I have an environmental engineering background, so we speak the same language). They found one parts issue and addressed it based on my approval. They found a second potential issue where it would have been possible to say "hey there's a problem here" and rack up the bill. However, Jeramie took time to let the system adjust and demonstrated that this second repair was not warranted. This is what real professionals do. I was super pleased with the work and professionalism demonstrated by you team from Care Heating & Cooling. Great job, thanks!

When our 20 year old furnace stopped working one frigid morning, Care was able to have a technician to our house later that day. It turns out, having a new furnace installed made the most sense and they had us on the schedule two days later. On the day of the installation, they arrived exactly when they said they would and had the job completed right in the timeframe they had quoted us. The installers Sean and Josh were friendly and very professional. We couldn’t be happier with the new furnace. It heats the house very efficiently, warming even the rooms that never got fully warm before.

Mike inspected my gas furnace as it was not staying on. He made sure it wasn't a simple fix before he asked if I wanted to spend the $$ on a new valve. We discussed options and I went for the replacement valve as a short term solution. Better $637.00 then $5K.

I never really liked the previous company that installed my HVAC system, but stayed with them throughout the 10 year warranty. My daughter recommended Care to me and I have been very satisfied for the last two years. I have their yearly Care Plan which I think is reasonably priced and get two visits per year to checkout my system. All the techs were on time and spent 45 - 60 minutes going over the system. Each explained what they were doing, checking various reading, adjusting things as needed and starting up the humidifier for winter. Very courteous, answered all my questions and sent me a printout of everything that was done. Well worth the price!

Received courtesy call from Nick that they were on the way approx 15-20 mins beforehand. Upon arrival Nick and Kelly were very courteous. They put on shoe covers at the door to prevent shoe tracking inside our home and got right to work. They came to do a routine annual furnace inspection. We got a new furnace just last year so inspection was uneventful. Nick pointed out that we need to change the filter more frequently than we had been and explained why. He referred us to a website where we could purchased filters at a lower price which was a nice surprise. OJ did a good job of servicing both the AC and heater. He was very professional and I appreciated his honesty. We are selling our home and the buyers had a home inspection done. The home inspector had recommended that we service both units and recommended that the AC unit be both leveled and raised 2 inches. I asked OJ to look at these AC issues and to provide me with an estimate to correct these. Instead of telling me these needed to be done (as he very well could have) he said that the level of the unit was appropriate and that the unit was already on a pad, the unit was operating properly and safely, and that doing those two items would be a waste of money. This saved me a couple of hundreds of dollars and I really appreciated his professionalism. I would recommend Care to anyone.

Our A/C stopped cooling properly and the system iced up.. I called Care who had installed our furnace and A/C and whose service we have been VERY pleased with. TL;DR: Highly recommend. Great service at a great price. Bought a really old 1800s house with an AC system that was installed in 1989. The seller included a home warranty that probably isn't worth as much as it seems; when the air conditioning system stopped working the warranty company will cover only their preferred HVAC company. This company took four days to send a technician. He seemed like a good, honest dude who needs more experience. He sorta fixed our system but it quit working two days later, and we were told we needed to replace a TXV valve, which would cost $700+ with warranty coverage, $1200+ without. I didn't want to spend that much on a really old system and decided to get a second opinion from someone more experienced. Zach from Care Heating & Cooling had our system running well in about an hour for $95 with no warranty coverage. It wouldn't have been too difficult to convince me I needed a new system when mine was installed in 1989, but he didn't try. For that reason, I really respect him and the company he represents. When the old thing finally fails I'll definitely be calling Care Heating & Cooling and asking for Zach.

I have used CARE for 12 years. When we moved to an area they didnt cover, I was truly disappointed. We had used them in the past to repair and do seasonal maintenance on a unit they had not installed. They were always great and rarely was there any additional charge for some part I supposedly needed- usually they had whatever thing it was with them and would just fix it. We decided to call them again this year when we needed a new AC. My husband said lets just see if I can convince them to come out here. We had a horrible experience last year with DorMar (furnace repair) and we just needed someone we could trust. Fortunately they were now covering our area. We got an honest assessment of what our home needed- as a matter of fact when I was leaning towards a more expensive unit, the saleswoman first, addressed our needs and wants and then suggested a different unit that was less expensive. It was a difficult installation and they were here longer than usual. And not one guy with a bad attitude about it- quite the opposite. After installation, my husband and I were not happy with the way they had moved our furnace in order to replace necessary parts. I now found it hard to get into my filter area and my husband didnt like how the gas line was now. They were back out immediately and fixed it to our liking. And let me tell you, there was no one with a bad attitude about it. They were quite pleasant and checked with us before they left to be sure things were the way we wanted. So after a 7 year hiatus from their service, I can say theyre still operating at the stellar level I had known in the past. Prices are great too!

We had a tech from a different company in the fall state that we needed a new AC unit before 2020 summer. Kyle completed the repair for under $150 and stated he wouldn't recommend a new unit at this time. On top of this I had him look at our non-working humidifier that we've been told to replace ($700). He wrote up a repair plan for $135. As a result of his service we signed up for the customer care plan as well.

I've had Care HC assist with two repair needs: 1 Blower motor failure. quickly diagnosed the issue and ordered replacement parts to get me back up and running quickly. They also ensured I was getting the best price possible by checking for warranty on my current system instead of charging me full price for the repair. 2. Furnace outage - OJ quickly found the problem with my furnace not blowing hot air and was able to fix it on the spot. He did not need to order any spare parts and extensively tested the furnace after to ensure the failure would not repeat during normal use. Replacement of 22 year old Rheem furnace and A/C with a RUUD system with an optional humidifier. Had these problems: 1) buzzing noise coming from blower with A/C on or stage 2 furnace. 2) vibration coming from draft inducer motor 3) humidifier not coming on 4) A/C lines between A/C and furnace coming out of brackets 5) Two moisture sensors issuing error codes Had several techs between 9/2/21 and 12/15/21 before all the above issues could be resolved. Some of the techs would not acknowledge the buzzing noise or vibration and stating that my 8 merv filter was too restrictive or the vibration was normal. The water leak was easily fixed by one tech. When Zach S. arrived, he immediately recognized the buzzing ad vibration and knew they were not normal. The buzzing noise was a simple fix of an air leak in the bottom he fixed with HVAC tape. The vibration was fixed by replacing the inducer more assembly. Zach looked at the old assembly and thought it was probably out of balance due to a manufacturing defect. Zach S. ordered and came back out to replace the moisture sensors without issue. Zach S. as fantastic employee and I will be sure to ask for him for any future repairs.

New Air conditioner was installed on Sat., June 26th and it was working good when they left. But on Sunday, it had stopped working. I called Monday morning and Jeramie, the service man came out around 2pm. He checked unit no issues and also, thermostat and thought I would need a new one. But, on further inspection, found 2 wires were shorting out the unit and he repaired them. He worked hard to find the problem and did a great job. On Sept. 6th, pipe was leaking. Jeramie came out on Sept 8th and he found the drain pipe was clogged. He put in vinegar and it's working now. He stated that when the AC was installed in June, the pipes should have been blown out at that time. Jeramie is very good at what he does and very professional.

Purchased the deal on Angie's List for Care Heating and Cooling for $35 service call, then called to schedule. Was very impressed that they answered on a Sunday morning! Diane was great over the phone, and was able to get me scheduled for first thing Monday morning. Luckily we just had an energy audit and extra insulation installed last year, so with our fireplace going, the house stayed mostly nice and warm. Craig from Care showed up at 8:10AM, was very pleasant and professional, and had the issue diagnosed within 10 minutes (bad igniter). Had the replacement part with him, quoted $140 for repair, and had the repairs done and tested for functionality within 30 minutes. Our air conditioner was original with the house (15 years?), and began to require annual visits for fixes (capacitors, coolant leak, etc). I decided this was the year to replace it because 1.) It’s stressful wondering if your AC is going to make it through consecutive weeks of 90 degree weather and 2.) The refrigerant it was using is end-of-life as far as production goes. Jay came out and provided us a very fair quote. He was knowledgeable and professional. We accepted the quote, and scheduled out about a month (we didn’t need it immediately). It took about 8 hours to replace the AC, which seemed fair considering it was replaced by only a single person, who did an excellent job and kept things clean. Everyone wore masks, and everyone was professional.

Care installed a complete new HVAC system, team was friendly, answered all my questions and left the area clean. I DID NOT shop around as Care has earned my trust with good advice and service over the years. I was also pleased that they offered the Lennox line of equipment. Previously I used Care to AREOSEAL my duct work. This allows for more airflow to areas of the home furthest from the furnace resulting in more comfort in those rooms. Please at least let Care have a chance to earn your business before making a final decision.

The tech, Josh, came out and quickly identified the problem. The charge was minimal but he offered a yearly service plan for a few dollars more that includes a furnace cleaning and AC check up in the spring. I elected the service plan and he eliminated the service call/repair charges today. Care looks to save the client money and looks to save a potential issue in the future. I have an older Heat Pump unit that was having intermittent problems. I called and ask for a 'check up'. The first tech that was sent was only able to do basic diagnostics and was not very strong with Heat Pumps. I understand he is no longer with the company, so that is a plus. I signed up for the 'Care Service plan' since it seemed to offer some protection on the cost of service calls (you get 2 per year with that plan). I figured I would need at least two visits to get the problem sorted out. The next call they sent two techs, since one was on training and just learning about heat pumps. Fair enough, you have to learn somehow. The second pair of Techs seemed like they were doing basic testing of various items, but they did eventually determine that the compressor fan motor bearings were failing and preventing the fan motor from running. They provided a quote for a new motor (needed for sure) and a second option if the fan blades could not be freed from the old motor shaft. This is where things got interesting. The quote was just a flat price. Not itemized for parts, or labor etc. I found this interesting since one of the features of the Care Service Plan is discounts on parts. I ask the Tech that provided the quote for a breakdown and he could not provide it. I called the office and asked for a breakdown and if my discount was applied... she could not tell.. again she could only quote the flat price. This price did 'cover everything', parts, shipping, installation and taxes, but again, there is no way to know how much you are paying for anything. This makes it hard to know if you are getting a good deal or not. I will say that Wes (the tech that came to do the repair) was very good. He worked efficiently and was thorough. The unit seems to be working fine now, but I still have a feeling that the 'price' was higher than it should have been, but I don't have any way to determine that.

Had annual furnace tuneups scheduled for both furnaces. Tech forgot to reset breaker on basement unit and left wires jumped on attic unit. I caught basement issue before tech left, but had to call tech back out for attic unit because second floor unit was running continuously, and had heated the area to nearly 80 degrees before I turned off the breaker. Also had duct cleaning scheduled. Tech was timely and got all vents taped off and floors covered, but when he went to start cleaning, his compressor failed. Someone came out to try and repair it, but was unable to do so, and there were no working compressors elsewhere in the company. Bottom line...they had to reschedule. CARE has been good and reliable in the past...I've been on contract with them for several years and used them to replace one furnace and A/C unit. I guess everyone has a bad day now and then.

I knew when we went to bed last night that we had a problem with our furnace and I was already planning to call Care this morning. Sure enough, we woke up at 6:15 to a 61 degree house. I called Care at 7:00 AM and was told someone would be out between 8-noon. Got a call from Zach saying he would be here by 9:30. He arrived promptly and got to work on the problem. I had turned off the breaker and upon turning it back on, the furnace began working. After running for a little while, we started hearing the noises that I had described.. Zach diagnosed the issue based on the symptoms. After running a few diagnostics, he pulled the drain hose and discovered it was clogged causing the motor to overheat just as he suspected! He cleaners out the blockage in the drain hose, reassembled it and ran a couple other checks and completed the service. Zach had presented me with the Care Plan Options when he first arrived. It was something that I had wanted to do, but never got around to it. I ended up buying the Care Plan for $229, which included this service call and the minor repair, plus I’ll get the semi-annual tune-ups and all the other benefits of the plan. I’ve known the owner, Mike Wiens, for nearly 20 years and always thought highly of him and his business ethics. After finally having an opportunity do do business with his company, Care Heating and Cooling, I am even more impressed. Called and was able to get an appointment for time convenient to our schedule on the same day. Kelly Pauley came out on 7/23/18 to take care of a problem with the AC after it had been serviced the previous week and was only blowing hot air. It was discovered that the wiring had come loose after the prior technicians had worked on it and we had spent the weekend with no cool air. Kelly was great, friendly and courteous when she arrived. She was finished and had the AC working in less than 20 minutes. Great service and personality.

Wes was very friendly when he came to service my furnace. He advised me to wait an hour before turning the furnace on to allow condensation to evaporate. After leaving, he called to let me know that he accidentally left the doors off my furnace. He apologized & told me that he would come back if I had any difficulty getting the 2 doors back on, but I thought I'd gotten them re-installed ok & didn't need him to come back. I turned the heat back on & went out to dinner with friends. My house continued to get progressively colder during the late evening (got down to 60 overnight). I placed a service call first thing the next morning. It took the tech exactly 2 minutes to resolve the problem. I had not re-installed one door solidly enough & that prevented the furnace from working. It would have been helpful if I had known this earlier before my house got so cold.

My furnace was checked under the annual plan by the tech who was very thorough. The humidifier was found to have a leak in the plastic supply line which was repaired. However, after the tech left another leak was found. They are coming back to replace a part that had to be ordered so I will ask them to repair the second leak at that time. Overall good service.

I chose Care because I have experienced first hand some of the findings exposed in their ads . ( upselling by service competitors when a replacement component like a limit switch was all that was needed etc.) In addition they were first to my knowledge to perform a free C02 check. Mine was not found to be leaking, but Chad found a crack in one chamber by removing the ignition devise for a partial visual check. I verified it's presence as well . Great catch ! When Zach came out he found our problem to be the air filter. He didn’t do much since the air filter was the problem. I was lead to believe the total cost was going to be 85 dollars . We actually got charged 159 dollars. I think we should be told what the total price is going to be before anything is done to the furnace. In the height of a heat wave, they were able to send someone out the next day, and Kyle arrived in the early part of the 4-hr window. Cost for the part was half of what Atlas or Favret would have charged had I let them replace it last year, and the service plan is a much better deal than Atlas' and better-managed besides. They really were very good about fixing only what needed to be fixed. Their technicians were very polite and they always called when on their way for a service trip. The only room for improvement I saw in my experience was around scheduling. The technician could not schedule his own return visit to replace a part. It always had to be the office making the next appointment and I always had to call them as they never called me even though I was told they would contact me. The technician never picked up a part and returned to install it on the same day. It always was the next day regardless of the time of day (morning, lunch, etc.) even if the part was in stock. So that always prompted a scheduling call. I think they definitely need to work on this area of their business and trying to do the best they can to solve their customer's problem in one day and not over several days because of poor business/scheduling processes.
